Had a chicken donor today there with a reasonable amount, It was just awesome, this also stimulated me to have a chicken biryani so I take away which was also good more than anything else which Tried in CARDIFF till now. Also had a chat with the staff pras, pankaj, ashar and bharath very friendly and co operative asked me also about my preference clearly and adjusted my food taste according to that. The food was Justice to the pounds definitely.

I had to leave a review because recently when I’ve ordered spice hut the portions of the donner have reduced massively and I feel like I am not getting my moneys worth. I used to order so frequently but now I think I can get my moneys worth elsewhere. It’s such a shame because the food they sell is so good but I’m just disappointed by the portions sizes.

Such a major L. I’ve been coming to this place for 2 years and ordering every week, but a few times now and especially this was such a disappointment. The doner was half the portion size I usually get, completely dry, lacked flavour, wasn’t even Naga which I asked for and tasted like rubber. When I collected it, it honestly looked like someone had already taken a bite out of my portion. This was the last straw - Never coming back again. Save your money everyone 😭

Food is so bad. It’s nothing like the branch in Mile End in London. Mile End branch is really good. Chicken wings were too salty and the kebab taste like it was refrigerated a month ago and the grilled chicken lacked flavour and was so dry. Very disappointed. Won’t be coming here again

The worst food I have ever taste

Clean tables, some of the best crispy post night out fries I have ever had and stellar service. One of the staff members came with extra sauce and was very happy to serve me. 10/10

Food was cold, fries overcooked, wrong food and wrong sauce in the item ordered, Food untouched, and had no choice but to stay hungry due to being in hospital with my unwell child and then also let down by the order placed.

I had spicy butter milk chicken burger in Spice hut Cardiff. It is very tasty and never had this tasty type of burger in complete UK. Staff and place is also very cool.

Spice Hut was a major disappointment. The food was, frankly, rubbish. The chicken kebab was dry, the sauce lacked flavor, the donner was overcooked]. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. This combination of poor food quality and terrible service makes Spice Hut a place I would strongly advise against visiting.

Poor service. Charged me the incorrect amount. Said 10 mins wait. Had to wait 20. Charging for sauce but than when you ask for the one you want, they don't have it. Terrible customer service. Letting down the London branch. The portions are tiny. The naga donner was flavourless. The creamy naga wings where falling apart. Waste of money. Don't not go to it.

Owner tried to reach out to me when delivering my food but couldn’t as my phone number wasn’t updated and I gave a false review as I was frustrated as I wasn’t getting a phone call while the owner was reaching my unupdated phone number on uber eats. I apologise for giving a false review at the start and hope you forgive me owner! Thank you.

I honestly don’t understand why a food business just can’t deliver food on time. What’s the point even being open if you can’t do the basic right. If you can’t deliver food on time and it takes you 2 hours to deliver then you should just do collections only rather then ruin your reputation and get all these 1 star reviews

One of the worst place in Cardiff. Ordered at 8 o’clock and delivered at 11. Called at least 20 times no answer. Finally, when answered, they used abusive words. Everything was cold. No wonder why they are such losers whereas other spice hut doing much better. Please think twice before any one order from this place

Ordered a lamb tikka briyani,the worst pre cooked briyani ever, I wonder how long has it been in the freezer,I lamb pieces was all rock solid and black ,they gave me only 7-8 pieces that size(pictured below), got upset stomach,I did complain to health and safety

The doner was out of this world, most delicious scrumptious meal I’ve had this week. The Chips were perfectly fried, nice and crispy. The mayonnaise was like drugs, I think they put something in it. This place is so addictive.

Absolutely terrible service. Shop said on the Uber app that it’ll take 20 minutes. I waited for an hour and 10 minutes. They also lacked the courtesy to call. I called severally, no one picked the call. I will never patronise again. Only reason I’m giving a 1 star is cos there’s no zero star.

Manager was very rude. Never heard of a dine-in food place that doesn’t have a bathroom. Got very angry when asking to use the bathroom to wash my hands from that stinky naga spice and grease. Not only that the chicken tasted dehydrated and the was far from edible quality.

The chicken tikka biryani was just amazing. The flavour were good and on top of that it is pocket friendly. £6 more than enough to get fully stuffed. I would also recommend to try the buttermilk burger it’s mouth watering and too juicy 😉.

Really nice food. Staff were understanding and clearly want you to enjoy their food. I ordered a kebab which was lovely. It came whith chips which were nice but could be improved - still not an issue and was enjoyable.

I went into the shop after school on Thursday evening and ordered the creamy naga strips. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and was piping hot. The staff was very attentive in helping me choose what to pick and with the modifications I made. The tables were clean and well lit. I even took a naga doner box home for my sister who absolutely devoured it. The prices were also very reasonable. (£6.30 for strips + drink + fries, £8.00 for doner box + chips/naan + salad) I will definitely be coming back soon !! (I tried the food before taking a picture below)

2nd person to order on their grand opening Picture attached has a long piece of hair in my food. We ordered 10 spicy wings got 10 peri wings. While picking up the food they apologised if anything was missing, clearly the guy knew our order was wrong. Clear to me they are not ready for the grand opening and need more training. Was told we could sit down to eat and then told we couldn't sit down because it was busy, waled past the shop about 20 mins later and everyone sat down eating?

All i have to say is wow! I came down from Kent to stay at families in Cardiff and thought i would try the spice hut here and i am blown away by the flavours, aroma etc. they have smashed it both inside and outside. The premises looks better then most other stores i have seen in London. Food was quality and fresh, my go to was the naga doner and the smash burger, very flavoursome and reasonably priced but my uncle did not let me pay the price unfortunately. I would recommend making a trip out of it and stopping here to get your next fix.

Tried it for the first time yesterday. Ordered the creamy naga kebab. Fair play it was very nice.

First experience hear was not busy. Asked for a shatkora donner meal and wings. Came 25 minutes late eating in. Asked for medium and was over spicy. Wings were burnt and when telling the staff the owner denied it and didn't end up eating. Tables weren't clean. Poor food service and cleanliness. Recommend go to another place
