Caerau Fish Bar in Cardiff

Ordered from Uber eats tonight. I have never never eaten, well we didn't eat it. Such poor food, Soggy food awful wasted £30 ....

Had two burgers and chips the only good thing was the cans of coke. £16.20 for chips that wasnt edible dry and over cooked chips burgers were also dry worst takeaway I have had definitely not worth It.

Called to order and the woman was so rude. The food was disgusting too. DO NOT BOTHER.

Fish and chips were gud, definitely not a place for kebabs

Service stinks waited patiently in a cue then placed order, while waiting for order at least another five customer had entered and had been served with there orders, in the end I'd left with nothing, will not entertain this chip shop ever again

Tried caerau fish bar for the first time yesterday. Delivery was fast. The food was amazing & definitely will order again. 10/10

Came here tonight for some chips as a lot of places were closed and we both were really happy with it. Food was nice, price was ok and staff were lovely. Was desperate for a toilet and they didn't have one unfortunately but that's about it. The chips looked pale but were nice and sausage quite sweet, the curry sauce was incredible

Went here yesterday, asked if they do chicken donner as I couldn't see any cooking. They said they do so I paid. Then I watched them pick up a container that was sat on the side - not hot held or chilled and they took chicken out of it before proceeding to put it in the microwave. I quickly told them I don't want that and got my money back - not sure how old the chicken was or how long it had been left in unsafe conditions but i'm not taking the risk of poisoning myself with chicken that is not stored properly. I wont be going back after witnessing this disregard for food safety with a high risk food. Edit: In reply to the response, I doubt very much that the chicken was cooling or that they cook a small amount of chicken donner each day for a number of reasons: 1) The Donner machine was cleaned and looked like it had not been used - which is why I asked several times if you did chicken donner. If you did manage to cook a small amount this would of cooled by the time you had stripped, cleaned and reassembled the machine and the meat should of been in the chiller. 2) when the person picked up the Baine Marie container from the side they didn't even check if it was hot before grapping the stainless steel - indicating that they knew it was not hot. 3) When you went to heat up the chicken and I asked if you had fresh you said no just that - you didnt say it was fresh. As for your other comments i'm sure your qualifications let you know that chicken is a high risk food so it should of been chilled - It is my suspicion that this was not cooked on the day but I am not in a position to confirm that.

What a nightmare! £5:10p for chicken curry & chips, seems giving the odd 10p to make things simple may have caused the mistake but can't look up the ACTUAL MENU to check prices without signing the deeds to your house over to the site(joke). Wouldn't mind the price if I hadn't gone no more than 3 shop's away to find the entire curry sauce swooshing around in the bottom of the carrier bag. Nightmare, never again.

Best value cod and chips I've ever found 🐠 🍟 easily found with a great range of quick and wholesome food at realistic prices. Good service to! I've lived in the area for over 30 years and it's only got better, I call it shark an chips as the fish portion is always enormous with enough chips for two. They also do curries, burgers and kebabs to boot well recommended 👌

Great value, and box meal was great, large portions too.

Gave me cold food then started shouting down the phone about it before i could even say it wasnt a problem cause i was a regular. It all goes wrong when you microwave kebab meat why not just cook it on the dedicated machine

Go here regular. Lovely people run it very friendly. Love the chips and curry sauce the sweet and sour is yummy. My only dislike is the batter on the cod it's a bit too thick.

Its good locality. Clean staff always service with a smile. Foods not too bad.

Been going here for a while, cheep and cheerful. Some new food has been added for Chinese takeaway.

Not the best quality food to be honest. It used to be alright but I'd rather give it a miss these days
