It's just ok your regular small time school shop

This is the worst order my kids food from spicehut it has been marked as delivered yet no one came to my house. Called just eat customer service spoke to someone by the name of Gary telling me there is nothing they can do about it as the order has been marked as delivered. This business of scamming customers money and not getting their food is soo beyond disgusting and unacceptable. This just eat is a joke and unprofessional towards their customers. People ordering their food online be careful

The driver had more then one app I live In seven king he went near Chigwell with my order I could see it on the app after he came to my house .he was late 30mins and I’ve also call the restaurant and they couldn’t help me as well . Very disappointed with the service .

Really good food, and friendly customer service. Frequently go here and speak with the staff. The chicken burger and doner is great, wings aren’t their strongest point. They have sometimes forgotten something in the order but rectified it when mentioned by giving extra the next time. Great value for food.

Food was nice but not well packed. Not sure if it’s the restaurant fault for not packing well or delivery driver fault for not taking extra care

The food is stone cold and looks like half my food is missing and one of the items I ordered was supposed to be not spicy and it is spicy so spicy my mum can't even eat it I'm not happy at all I was a full refund!!!

Ordered 2 spicy mixed doner, however it wasn’t spicy at all. Even after pouring the extra spicy sauce ontop. Naga wings wasn’t naga flavour or spicy either. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I live in Woodford I ordered food from barkingside 10min rnd the corner first showed would be to me 5.05pm arrived at almost 6pm . Did send message to your people but nobody got back. Not good practice. Thanks Paul

absolute rubbish food. wings cold. wing box was open when i received it. received notification that driver left but went to another customer first then went back to the shop. what a joke.

Ordered Lamb biriyani in spice hut, barkingside. Quantity is too less. And, it doesn't taste like a biriyani. I ordered it for my dinner. It is not sufficient for me. Now I'm going out to have some food. Worst!!

It is an Indian fast food fusion with Kebabs and burgers. Honestly, better than expected. Reasonable prices with good portions. Be careful with the level of spice, they are not playing games. Got chicken wings and kebab with Naan, would order again to try other stuff.

Always something missing. Pay for chilli sauce it's missing. Chips missing from the meal. Call them, they don't understand. Paid for three chilli sauce. They don't provide. Why are u charging for chilli sauce.

Great service, last time they got my order wrong but made up for it this time, well compensated. One of the only stores who have managed to keep their prices low due to inflation. Keep it up 👍.

‘Disgusting’ is the only word I can use to describe the food at Spice hut. Chicken was tasteless, flavourless and dripping buckets of oil. Not recommended at all, there are other chicken places yards away from there which are far better than Spice Hutt. Massive let down,,, How can you get chicken and Chips wrong? The chilli sauce was insult to injury - all colour and no chilli. Wont be going again and wont recommend either. Seriously beed to up their game.

Below average for chicken shop, this is 2nd spice hut I tried and both were as bad. The size was big but the bun was dry and crusty. The chicken was fresh but top oily.

Reasonably priced for the area.i feel that the mixed doner, chips and drink for £6.25 was expensive as there was quite a small portion. The crazy thing is if you go to ME Kebab in Frampton Street of Edgware London. Post code NW8 .You can get a proper authentic very large Kurdish Doner Kebab with everything salad, sauce etc for £6.00 in London and it is cheaper and better than most Kebab shops in London I am afraid. The Kebab shop owners in Ilford and other parts of London and greater London also should go down and try their Kebabs and other food and ask them how they can sell thir food so cheap in Westminster despite their rates being higher than greater London .How does that work??

Read some of the reviews! Not sure why people expect michelin standard food for a value for money fried chicken Kebab place. Embarrassing! In Barkingside in that type best around. Lovely team of guys who work hard and give good standard food. If anyone reading those * and ** reviews! Ignore it. Worth a try. I been in Barkingside over 5 years and tried all of them..

Standard generic kebab and fried chicken shop. No thrills expected inside. Has extensive menu of South Asian food too, which makes it better than average fast food shop. Great prices, can't fault that. Like a lot of fast food places they give priority to the delivery companies' customers leaving the people who eat in the eaterie or ordering take aways as secondary.

Normally spice hut so tasty but this branch is not great as it supposed be . Also need to clean and it has weird smell on shop Please focus on hygiene. Disappointed

This has to be the best or close to the best doner i have had it felt so good for a hungry stomach.

Sent me the wrong order, and The tandoori kebab was drowned in very hot chilli sauce that I couldn’t eat it. When I called up the guy who answered the phone was nice but didn’t really help. Won’t be ordering from here ever again. A waste of money

Good food, bang for the bucks, friendly caring staff.

Ordered food for delivery and multiple times half of the order was missing. When called the store was told that they will not do anything about it unless I come and pick it up myself (despite paying for delivery) as no delivery drivers available to re-deliver missing items every time. Very rude staff and puts the phone down when calling with complaints.

Spice hut is a chain, I have been to many of them, the consistency in the food and service is excellent. The chicken tikka biryani is on the spot here and the portion was generous. I do not believe it would have been possible to fit all that into a takeaway box if I wasn't eating in. There's only a few seats, the best way to enjoy this place is probably to takeaway.

Great offers and food is very good considering what you pay. I’m not comparing these guys to Gordon Ramsey but for what you pay - it is very good value and the quality of food is great. Their customer service is brilliant! One of the new guys forgot my wings and so I rang them up - they said to pop down now or let them know next time I visit and they will give me my wings. And they did, in fact threw in a couple extra… nice… keep the whole work up guys!

Brilliant service by the brother on the front!!! Their Chicken tikka biryani is on point, proper nice..kebabs are decent too.

Good value for money with great tasting food and good portion sizes. They have some of the best chicken wings and chips in Ilford with the perfect size, crunchiness and saltiness. Owners are always polite. I enjoy coming here after playing football nearby at Redbridge Sports Centre or Powerleague.

Yesterday I had a Meal last night and it was absolutely the most horrible meal ever bad oil and not cooked properly there was no flavour to it please don't serve this nasty food I had a very bad tummy pain yesterday

The signature dish here is the naga enhanced wings and doner. It’s super hot especially the wings. The menu is vast. From your usual fried chicken to curries and biriani to grills. Fried chicken is nothing special and very average. The grills are a miss especially the grilled chicken which has little flavour. Everything else in the grill is smothered with sauces. Once grilled everything is placed on a griddle and mixed with onions and sauces. Becomes a messy affair. Curries are good. Very nice. The doner really is one option. Spicy. Whether you want spicy or not still is spicy as they prep on the griddle where the naga is mixed. Not great when you are ordering something for someone who does not want spicy.

This spice hut is way better than the Gants hill one. The food is always fresh and is much tastier and the customer service is excellent, with friendly workers, not like the other place where they moan if you take too much sauce.

Ordered some chicken tikka via just eat. Was given 2 new times for delivery. Food was extremely spicy nothing like chicken tikka, in fact so spicy we had to throw it away. It made the rice and bombay aloo taste the sameFood ruined by the over use of spice and chilli.. Will never order from here again!

Disgusting dry food, bland as hell! Owner doesn’t know his own prices, tried adding on extra cash for a strip burger and chips? £1 for strip, £1 for chips. He then went £3.50?.... got the burger and it was one strip sliced down the middle, absolute joke. Don’t go here, they are unhygienic people who touch everything with their bare hands.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I purschased 2 strip burgers and received the tiniest thing imaginable. It had one small strip slice down the middle to make '2' strips. Not only that but it was as dry as can be. I also bought 2 wings which were very tiny and all bone. Once again they were also dry. On top of this the so called 'portion of chips' were in a small single burger box with the wings and wasn't even half filled. The food also stank and put you off from eating it. I highly recommend you stay away From this shop as it is horrible.

Worst takeaway in London. Very poor service. The workers do not understand English, they lie to you when they mess up on the orders and make the customer feel as though they are liars. They serve disgusting poor quality food, overall I would give them a minus rating if I could as they are awful in everything, customer service, food, English language etc. It would be your worst mistake to visit or order from them

Loved it amazing experience food is fresh and price is reasonable. I'll give 4 stars .shop clean tidy staff is very friendly. You should give it try. I 40 minutes of drive just for mixed donner and chicken wrap:-)

I am so much frustrated by their food!!! I have tried mixed donor kebab meal with fries and drink. The donor was off and smelled rotten which most probably from the day before. Also had a portion of chicken wings which was very small in size (all the pieces were very tiny!!!!). On another occasion I ordered a donor kebab meal which didn’t have a drink however I was under the impression that the meal included a drink hence I wanted to include a drink with the meal (willing to pay the difference) however the person was serving was so reluctant to include the drink in the meal and wanted me to pay separately!! (no flexibility shown at all). I only went to them because I liked Spice Hut food from Mile end branch and the food and service is always nice for me. I wouldn’t go there anymore and recommend other to avoid them.

Always love a good spice hut. Although each branch varies in taste overall I find they are quite consistent. Cheap food served fresh and quick. Cannot complain.

Bought 3 chicken burgers from here today, all three were bone dry. There was plenty of sauce but the chicken itself was super dry. I took one of the burgers home for my wife to eat, she said it was the driest chicken burger she's ever eaten.

Chips are too crunchy and need to be made softer but other than that this is Whitechapel in Barkingside!

Other than the potion size which was good everything else was poor. I’m allergic to cucumber and only realised when I got home that they added salad even though I asked for none. The chips were super hard and as someone who can take somewhat of spice I asked for medium but I can honestly say it was ridiculously hot which was annoying to eat. Glad I tried it but definitely not retuning.

Boight the 10.95 chicken, wings combo meal. Horrific experience. Chicken both wings and chicken pieces were dry, extremely oily inside and did not taste anything like the other typical spice hut places. I normally go to the Newbury park one. It was a waste of my money here. When I asked if i could have some fresh chicken etc instead of the stuff that was made an hour ago i got a rude response. The shop wasn't busy and maybe i should have figured it out why. I feel sick, nauseous from the meat and had to throw it away. Only good thing was chilli sauce though that too was very runny. I think this place has put me off fried chicken for a while whivh i guess is a good thing.

FINALLY! A taste of Tower Hamlets has arrived in Redbridge. Spice Hut in Gants Hill is just awful and tastes nothing like the originals in Tower Hamlets, however, this place has perfected it. Glad that I no longer have to drive miles to grab a PFC. Everything spot on.
