Spice Hut in Newham

Really good food but pathetic service. I went to romford branch bt at times I think was it worth it? They close at 11 as its stated on Google but its not my first experience when they don't entertain customers with dignity. They prioritise other customers allowing them to eat in but won't allow you while you're also a customer. Today, there were other customers eating in but they refused me to dine in. Ibrahim is at times nice but depends if he is willing to be mindful of british values. Please note, if food is priority its a recommended place but if you want to be treated with respect and dignity, it's the last resort.. not even that. Really disappointed!

We always have doner from here. Today we ordered again as usual. They messed the order up. Upon calling them they refused to accept pt they even took an order. They said call high Street South branch we me er took ur order. After arguing for many mins they finally said OK what's the problem. After again arguing to make them understand how they messed my order up they agreed to accept and said come and get it fixed ur order. I said we are in the middle of a dinner we can't then they said they can't either If I want to make a complaint then I can. What a pathetic service. We are done with spice hut. No more food from there.

The chicken was tough, seemed like it was yesterdays. The chips were cold. The guy who serves the food and packages it, was sneezing and blowing his nose, then handling the food without washing his hands. Never see anyone washing their hands. I had to throw meal in the bin. Never again will I use one of these shops, anywhere. Makes me feel sick to think they may not even wash their hands after going to the toilet.

Spice hut in Leyton is just the worst I feel sad to say this as they have a reputation but this one is by far the worst ordered a biryani no spice no flavour nothing everything was tasteless never ordering again

Normalmente no escribo reseñas, pero esta vez tengo que hacerlo. Lock lock Salí después de un tiempo por unas alas de chips y así sucesivamente. El chico de la tienda me dio comida fría y fue difícil. Era como si estuviera hecho de antemano, como si hubieran cocinado demasiado y lo dejaran para que lo tomara el siguiente.

Took my friend here and she ate 4 portions of the chilli cheese bites Once she ate all of them we was so proud in eating this much we put some music and decided to dance around her front room. We danced till dawn when she confessed her love for the chilli cheese bites and we went to sleep and set our alarm for when it opened and done the same thing again. It was probably the best weekend of my life

I usually get takeout from there, there food is good, waiting time is ok, in all over its ok as a takeaway, but there are much improvement as to be made, specially on the counter, English is poor had to repeat few times, other then that it’s good

Horrible customer service from the guy behind the counter. Doesn't care about his customers and is constantly cussing in bengali as if he is the only one who can speak it. Took the order wrong, took the money and refused to rectify the order saying it wasnt his fault. This shop is a shame to the spice hut franchise because of this idiot.

After deciding to go spice hut for a quick revision break - we ordered take in food - after reating twice 'take in'. My friend and I were given our food in takeout boxes, by which we were confused, however took a seat on the table to eat. After a few minutes - a worker - possible the manager? who looked in his 50s, tall, wore glasses and had a dark complexion with white hair, came over to our table, and very rudely shouted at my friend and I for eating on the table with take out boxes, and lying that we said we were ordering take out. Everyone in the restaurant was looking at us, and the whole ordeal was very embarrassing. Never going to place again. Disgusting customer service.

The food is crape and the guy behind the counter has no visa. The food is expensive and customer service is abdul.

The doner is the best. It’s packed with lots of flavour green chillies and coriander. You get salad chips or naan. The orange naga sauce is so good with the chips and on top of the doner. 10/10

I went there solo for dinner. Tried the mutton kabab roll. Unfortunately, the mutton was too smelly, and I didn't enjoy it much. Maybe their other items on the menu are better. In any case, there are a lot of better halal eating options in East Ham.

Chicken Biryani, £5 including dal sauce. Asked if I wanted spicy or not. Yes, spicy. Generous biryani served 7 minutes later despite a large inflow of take away customers arriving immediately after order. Good quantity and flavour, goodly chicken cubes, boned, with the dal sauce (served in a separate metal bowl) flecked with coriander leaves and little chillies, preventing any dryness. Rice had a fair number of chopped chillies too. Ideal for a late lunch on a cold day. Why not 5*? well, décor is not for a romantic date, and the regular door opening meant it was fairly cold indoors. But otherwise, well pleased.

We went here after the movies. So reasonable in terms of price. My friend recommended it, I got a lamb biriyani £4.75 and drink. It was actually boneless! I was surprised as most places don't forget boneless I've found. The rice was well spiced. It was a nice generous portion size! We all really enjoyed. Customer service was great and the venue was clean too. They cleaned away plates. They call you over when your food is ready. They told us it was busy and there would be a delay. But they were still quick! You have to try this place!

excellent lamb donner, good atmosphere, good services. there are too many branch of spice hut but went to the stephny green branch. i went there too many times and likes their food.

I use Spice Hut 2 in Burdett Rd no hassle but lately noticed things are going downhill. Service Food Quality of the ingredients me thinks MOST OF ALL MY (E Meal) which is mess now!

From the success of having the 1 branch at Stepney Green, they opened another one at Mile End, down the road yet both store really busy. Now there is a total of 6 stores, including branches in Green Street, East Ham, Monor Park & Gants Hill. However the prices do vary, not all the same in the stores as I’ve found the branch in Green Street slightly more than the other stores (they’re pricing is cheap anyway!). You can get yourself Donner, wings, chips and a drink for £3.30 (G Meal), the exclusive handmade chilli sauce is brilliant and is the same across the stores so is the food. However I must admit the service is not up to scratch as it was when they first opened and had 2 stores. I guess that’s with all businesses, I also find the shop is not as clean as it was before. I miss the “After Eight” lol as part of the meal, but if you ask u mint now you do get some random branded mint chocolate.

Terrible food and even worse service. The place when it opened about 15 years ago or more was the best chicken shop in the UK I'd say. Now it's probably the worst. They never get your food right no matter how many times u tell them. Even if it allergy related. Their service is just rude. Better off going to the next pfc. Original taste. They've made far too much money probably made them feel they don't need to carry on the ervice. Unfortunately that didn't go as planned as the place is always half empty now. Before u couldn't even walk in because it's so packed! Avoid at all costs.

Ok bossman! Obviously yeh spice hut is some buffting yh I munch that like it's baare nice. I come here very often but I like to eat it. Best donor in the world sooo nice and juicy and spicy and amazing customer service like they talk to you in English or bangla or whatever u want it's pretty amazing yeh. One time I went there and got a donor wrap and it wass literally spice hut donor in a tortilla but still yh hella buffting I munches that and still ate my wings and chips. Oh and dnt get me started on they're sauces one time yh I finsiedh two bottles of mayo,and I know what ur thinking right now like how did man finish two bottles of mayo and basically what I did yh is I just squirted it all into butter containers and took it home so basically man jus got free mayo. They didn't even clock yh raaah but dw I left 1p tip. Sometimes I start crying in the shop coz it's so spicy but then I look in the mirror and it's all OK. Oh and also yh nxt door I can do all my bazaar while I eat my spice hut donor. One time yh I ordered large donor and my friend ordered small donor and they gave the same thing to both of us I was hella vexed but still I munch that still. So if u man is not convinced that this is the place to grub then u is some playaaaaa. Obvs u can go subway nxt door init. ok sfe

La comida está bien, es lo mismo que las otras 500 tiendas de comida rápida que encontrará en cada calle en el este de Londres. No me espero un nivel de servicio como un restaurante de 5 estrellas, pero creo que el personal podría hacer...

The best food ever! Quick spicy and delicious. Must for east Londoners!!!!!! Cheap as well!!!! Sauce is divine as well !!!!!

Went to visit my family and we ordered takeaway from spice hut in Mile End the food was amazing clean friendly staff and yummy sauces will defiantly eat there again

Tried their food never taste in my life Very bad food they use lots of food colours in the food no taste fried chicken got v bad smells

The food was ok, donner meat was not tasty, cold wingsthe guy was handling burger buns and cheese with his hands he did not use the clipper tongs, I had to ask him not to touch the cheese with his hands and he got upset about it.The service needs improving. Food was always good but recently affected.But hey good for value at fast food take away, you cant ask for more.

I ordered chicken tikka roll meal but all I got 5 burned chicken and one dried naan.very disappointed with the service and food.

If they seem to have more than three concurrent orders, they go in meltdown regardless of how many or few staff they have and your meal will take about 30 mins if you are lucky. Fast food this will not be! Neither should you expect the extra time equates to more attention to your food as raw meat amongst cooked meat is common here!They are completely disorganised and this results in the following:- They often short change so be sure you know how much you paid and how much you should get back.- While they struggle to keep pace with orders, 3 seems to be the point at which they struggle, they will ask you to pay again despite having already paid as they get lost in trying to keep up. Remember if you paid as they'll either chance it or they'll just forget and ask for payment again.- Another common issue is receiving the wrong order so make sure to check it otherwise you'll walk away with something else. If you made any special requests then be prepared to understand that this will be forgotten and they will not resolve unless you wait for about 40 mins. Thus your fast food order could take over one hour before you get what you ordered. Don't expect a serious apology, a gesture to compensate as it will not be forthcoming.The above are merely the more positive aspects of Spice Hut in East Ham. The reason I stopped eating here was poor hygiene and food poison! I have had raw meat served in amongst cooked meat here before and that is when you know you should eat elsewhere.If you hate yourself and want to suffer food poison then enjoy Spice Hut.

Used o use this place very regularly however the standards have dropped over the last couple years.Customer service poor = Lets say none at all to making money!Food colouring too muchAvergae food now!!!However under a fiver you will have a full stomach if you are not fussed of the hustle and bustle that heppens in busy PFC place and surrounded by atleast 20 of them

As they have made so much money they dont care any more. The amount food colouring in their sauces/food is disgusting, cannot get the colour of my hands. Food is ok for the price, but service and quality is lacking

I've been going Spice hut for many years, and over this time I have tasted different things from their menu. Firstly, their famous Doner and chips (with wings) will excite your taste buds with outburst of flavour and spices. It gets very busy at times but people are willing to wait. People may or may not know that they also serve curry dishes. Their lamb biriyani is probably the best I've tasted at any restaurant let alone takeaway, and their chicken curry is to die for. It has the most authentic taste and the portions are very generous.

Overall good food variety especially if you love hot and spicy food. Do expect to stand in a queue at peak times and do not expect much around customer service.

Stopped here to eat after a night out with friends. Well what can I say but some of the best combination of donner meat mixs we have had or tasted in a while. The doner meat is fried with onions and peppers and spices with a bangladeshi twist served with chips wings and drink for a very cheap price of under 5 pounds and the service is quick too. We all enjoyed the donners and were very happy with the service. Thank you. This place is a must eat for everyone.

If you are ever around London and wish to have some spicy wings, kebab, doner or even a biryani… Spice Hut is the place to be! Good food at the cheapest price in London. They have a wide selection of combination meals for takeout or eat in. After Eight mint chocolate once you finished eating. The fast food place is clean and has a very good speedy service. Try the chilli sauce if you dare… Would highly recommend you try the biryani around £4.50 or the donner meat, 2 wings with chips and drink all for £.3.15, They have done really well and have opened up another 2 stores, one located in Mile End Road and the other in East Ham High Road.

The food here is OK - the Doner kebab was fresh but not all that tasty, the naan bread was good. I found it unusual that the Doner kebab was fried once taken off the spit, in a stir fry with chillies and onions, but having experienced the same in other nearby restaurants I think this is common for the area. The real plus is the prices, both here and locally - £3.00 for a Doner kebab meal - including drink. Overall I would return but there were others better locally. Eat in or takeaway.
