Istanbul Restaurant and Takeaway in Newham

The food is good but the restaurant always opens late my lunch brake starts at 12:00 and ends at 12:30 some days the restaurant doesn't open and I can't get any food because of their tardiness

Fresh Turkish food at a very reasonable price, I'd recommend anyday.

I give 1 star because of the dirty washroom, it would be possible to update this part since everything is deplorable there.

Was there for iftar, very slow service and the food was half warm, sauces were watered down, especially the chilli sauce. The salad looked lifeless. Decore was outdated to the point were hanged painting looked like the damp was coming out of it. Considering it was a halal restaurant they offered no Dates or water for the us to break the fast out of courtesy. We literally went next door to the Turkish grocery store to buy dates. As mentioned the actual food was OK, not great but wasn't terrible for one time. If the owner is reading this I would serious consider renovating and then hiring some young staff to show some excitement in welcoming potential customers aswell getting a new chef who can maintain freshness and quality (unless your the chef and owner). Your in a prime location but looks like the furniture and wall's have not been maintained for years. Sorry for a long review but I do see potential if the the manager is open minded.

Ordered through Uber eats today 28 October , time 2.44, ordered the Istanbul special and mix shish , first time disappointed with them, food wasn't as fresh as usual , also little cold maybe it was Uber eats delay. However the standard wasn't as it is usually , has the chef or management changed? Please don't lower standards because of ordering through Uber eats rather than eating in

Lovely restaurant always come to dine in great price and best quality food, chef and staff are really nice, and chef is always giving extra bread and free baklava and tea big thanks to this shop for there great food keep it up!!!

Doesn't look much from the outside, however this restaurant is a gem. The food is great, the portion sizes are just right, not too much and not too little, coupled with good prices. Definitely worth a visit, if you like grilled meats. Good value for money dining for the family. Ambiance of the dining area could be improved, a little run down.

My regular take away when it comes to Turkish. Not far from where I live, I always pick up and order whilst waiting, that way I can get the food home piping hot. The quality of meat, chicken and the kebabs are always fresh and tender just the way I like it. Unable to fault as yet!!!

This is one of those places that looks old but serves great food. The prices are very reasonable and food is tasty, great salad too. Good staff, parking available at the rear or on single yellow line before 4pm and after 7pm.

They gave me out of date food last time i went there and then i went back today and they said i was lying about the out of date food. This is a trash place. I recommend no one to go there.

I found the food to be wonderful and very delicious, it was just like being back in Istanbul again! Friendly staff, clean interior and great Turkish tea. Shall definitely be coming back again soon.

Called and took the wrong order and one of the staff (possibly the owner)got angry when I came to collect and corrected my order. Chips were fried with old oil. Very greasy and not enjoyable. You should not be able to smell the oil in the box. I asked for salt and vinegar and only got a pinch of salt on my chips. One of the workers packing my food was unfriendly, did not understand English and got angry when I asked for salt and vinegar. About 20-30 mins eating my food I vomited. Is this because of their food? I have no idea but this is very uncommon for me to do. I will not be going back there.

FRAUDSTER working there guy took my card and looked at my security code then suddenly someone spent 174 quid on my card! Disgusting.

Worst Turkish restaurant. I had lahmacun it was soggy, smelly, salad with raw cabbage and red onions, tomatoes veg, 2 dips made just of yogurt and water and chilli sauce full of juice from vegetables. It was wrong choice.

I have given this place 4* based on the food. A large chicken shish, to eat in is £7.50. It was good quality chicken and the Bulgar wheat was lovely, not greasy at all. The bread is fab, the salad is just okay. Now the service......its practicaly non existent. You are brought salad and bread but no plates. The tables are not set and you are not offered a drink. When I asked for diet coke there was no offer of a glass. The Waitresses barely say a word (not sure if this is down to a language barrier) However, I would eat here again if passing. Just don't go here for a special occasion as I fear you would not be satisfied. Suitable for a quick lunch stop only.

The friendliest staff, full mangal turkish menu. Not just a kebab shop, this is a proper turkish restaurant. Just like any you'd find on greens lanes north london. I really like their lamb donor. It's like nothing I've ever had before. It's not the usual minced lamb on a skewer, instead is made of pieces of lamb steak piled up on the skewer, then cut like a donor. You know how a chicken donor is actual pieces of chicken rather than mince... Well their lamb donor is actual pieces of lamb... So yummy!

Food was good service was good. Just one thing I didn't get that if its a party they don't provide tap water. Other than that food was tasty.

Guy was pickling my salad with bare hands that after closing main door he never washed stocky guy in when i asked him what do you think you doing he looked at me as if that is normal, even worse he wouldnt accepted that what hes is done is wrong then asked me but you gonna eat the food with your hands hygine is absolute 0

Excellent for with reasonable price.

Their falafel wrap is awesome, they cater customer needs which is awesome but at times some of them do tend to be agitated and one of their female staff have very big dirty nails and she rolls wraps with those hands made me sick it's wierd they don't have gloves while wrapping the wrap and the other higiene problem is they have flies where all the salads and meat is at the front of display, there is a need of improvement with customer service and higiene otherwise food is nice, they make mistake while taking order

Fui a una cena informal con amigos / colegas. El ambiente y la decoración eran cómodos, pero nada excepcional. El servicio fue mediocre para ser sincero. Sin embargo, la comida que se servía era buena, con porciones de descenso. El kebab de mezclas estaba delicioso. Fue servido con arroz, ensalada, cuscús y pan de pita. Me encantó el té turco también. Sin duda recomendaría la comida, a menos que esté realmente inclinado por un lugar muy elegante con una bonita decoración. En general, buena comida y buena relación calidad-precio, y una ubicación conveniente que está abierta hasta tarde (11 pm).

It's a great place to eat Turkish food and spend some time with family and friends. But the thing is that it looks the same as all the Turkish restaurants. So, I think they should do something different from others to spice thing up.

A los niños les gusta el estanque de peces. El servicio es genial Mi única preocupación es que la decoración interior está anticuada y los baños necesitan mantenimiento.

Good quantity of food and quiet place to dine in. Ambience not very pleasant. Food tastes good but menu is very limited. Typical Turkish restaurant with Lamb Shawarma and chicken doner. Price reasonable for the quantity. Worth trying.

Its a Decent place to eat. The food is reasonably priced. I have ate here a few times and would definately go back. The staff are nice and polite. The atmosphere is decent. The food came rather quick. I ordered ribs and my partner ordered mix kebabs. Both were good and were reasonably priced. The restaurent also does kids meals which is helpful. Would recommend this place.

The food was amazing very reasonable and the service is good apart from one old woman who was rude and kept speaking in turkish about my toddler. I found it very offensive. It is a casual restaurant and its supposed to be family friendly.

They say never judge a book by its cover, although it seems a bit out dated from the outside, this place does some amazing Turkish food. Food was well cooked and very tasty. I would recommend to try the platter. Needs a little refurbishment.

Food was good would have given 5* parked the car in they car park had to wait over an our to get out as they neighbour block the entrance and management could not be asked

Best Authentic Turkish resturant

I have been a regular customer to this place for some time as it is close to where i live. However , the latest waitereses have made our experience in this restaurant awful and miserable. They are very rude with no customer service skills whatsover. I urge the manager to act quickly before he loses his business

Friendly staff good food very reasonable price

I went with my family on Wednesday night to have some meal, rude staff including the man on the till, I ordered food and after 15 to 20 mins they infomed me we run out of food at 20.00 which I clearly can see food was there, staff was so lazy and I got so embarrassed front of my kids and wife. Shame on you people, never will go again on this rude staff resturant.

Quality of the food is decent to say the least. The price is decent as well and the portion size are okay. However, service is rather slow. I have been to Istanbul for a number of times and I have waited on average of 30-40 minutes just to get Lamb Kebab with Rice. Funny how the food arrives, just in time for my funeral. Staff there are far from reach, standing behind the counter and chatting away with their colleagues. While I'm sitting by the table and impatiently waiting for my food, I had to call the restaurant just to grab their attention. Even the telephone line has better service than the front of house. The irony.
