Spice Hut in Sutton

Ordered a delivery on Saturday 7th September. Order was on time lovely and hot and everything was so nice excellent flavours. Many thanks Robert and Jane Manor way wallington.

Portion size is good,food is tasty without excess salt,price £ average. But delivery service is really,really slow,snail crawl. Been ordering for over a year from less than 1 mile away from the restaurant at different times,1>1.15hrs is the norm.

well it came very oven hot 🔥 as if it was cooked just for me as for the curry 🍛 it was fabulous 😄 and will order again when I am hungry 🤤 There was a lot 😂😁

Ordered from here last night for the first time, delivery was fast, food was lovely and couldn’t believe how much I got for the price 👍🤗🙌🏻 can’t wait to order again 😊😊

Unfortunately the chicken was dry and tough / chewy. Seems to have changed since new owner and quiet expensive now. ☹️

This place has seriously gone downhill. I believe it is under new ownership and the quality has gone down a lot whilst the prices have rocketed. They advertise a 20 per cent discount for collecting the order but they don’t apply it and you have to haggle! Awful. It used to be so good but they have lost our custom now. The new owners are also very rude. Old owner was lovely.

wasn't sure when going delivered as two times were given but no update on app.. even when driver knocked on my door the app just send food being prepared. The food was lovely though, couldn't fault it.

Save your money… onion bhajis were the size of ping pong balls, pilau rice tasted and looked like boiled rice, both mains were watery as if they were jar sauces and all food was cold. Just disappointing.

Tried a few Indian restaurants but for us Spice Hut is the winner. Lovely vegan options. Tasty. Fresh.

Best Indian for miles. The Chicken Korai is amazing.

Not worth ordering from here. Food quality is low and the portion sizes are so ridiculously small. Order from anywhere but here. Avoid at all costs

Been eating here for 20 + years moved out of area 7 years ago just popped in tonight as was in area visiting friends and food was exactly as always too notch a++

It’s been many years Eating here however the quality of the food has gone down, really disappointed with this place. I won’t recommend this place to anyone. Hygiene level isn’t that good god knows how it’s open.

1st time ordering takeout,good service.We ordered online no problem.Nice tikka masala,spicy patia lovely tarka dhal .Onion bargi one portion is four tiny ones but nice,cooked well.It only took half an hour but it was a Sunday.Would use them again,good value.

I love the spice hut. I have recently moved so it's no longer my local. But I used to order regularly before. Great vegetarian dishes. Great prices. Always on time or early !

Yummy Biryani! I'm a lover of biryani and Spice Hut definitely didn't disappoint me. I went for my favourite the Chicken Biryani - good portion size, the rice was nice and the chicken was tender. I also enjoyed the Tarka Dhal(Lentils), Excellent service throughout. I will be back soon!

Normally order every week on Saturday most times it's good food but sometimes the chicken is either overcooked very tough to chew or recooked not sure which but a message to the owner and staff who are very nice look after your regular customers and don't take them for granted PLEASE!!

Good day. Usually attend this place. It’s pretty good. Very rarely and I mean, very rarely, we get a missing item or the food is not as good as the time before. I wouldn’t go as far to say it is hit or miss though, excuse the pun. Would be five stars but due to it’s location by the extremely stylish pub across the road, it is docked points. This is a take away really good value tasty food and lovely staff. Shame is we live out of delivery area so have to collect.

DISGUSTING FOOD BAD QUALITY I WOULDNT EVEN EAT FOR FREE

I ordered from spice hut through hunger horse on a recommendation from a friend. The food was reasonably good but my son said he had had better korma.That said it was all still very enjoyable.My only gripe was that we waited over an hour and a half. I rang twice after an hour and both times was told he was on he’s way and had got lost on the first delivery. As I only live less than a 5min drive from them and the other address was in the next road I couldn’t understand were he was. When he eventually turned up I said were have you been and he said he had 3 deliveries to do(I understand that)but when I said I hope it’s not cold he said it won’t be I only picked it up 5mins ago. Someone was lying? I more than Likely will use again but ring direct and won’t pay until it turned up that way If it’s too late I won’t except it. That said it was nice.

Order took an hour and a half to be delivered. The food wasn't that great when it did arrived. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

2nd time in 8 months of eating from them and both times had good meals. Cheap but very tasty and plenty of spice which I asked for 👍

Had takeaway tonight. All dishes were boiled chicken with sauce added. No spice or flavour. Even chicken tikka had no taste. Won't bother again. Such a shame that we can can't find a decent Indian restaurant in the area since Ali and chef sold Mango Lounge.

Tried some chicken biryani take-away for the first time and found it to be good in taste. Would always go back.

Chicken korma was amazing. Delivery man was helpful. for best indian takeaway i would recommend anyone.

Chicken Tikka Biryani was amazing

Ever since moving to Wallington, we have only ever used Spice Hut for our take out. The food is always delicious, and delivery times are very fast. We often collect as well as they are just over the bridge from us. I usually have the Chicken Tikka main, with extra mint sauce, and my husband has Chicken Madras. We rarely have something different, but when we have, it is always excellent. Very good value for money and the staff always recognise us.

I like Indian food, let's take that as a given. I could eat it 3 + meals a day and only restrain myself from doing this because of the terrible effects it has on my digestive system. This place serves large amounts of acceptably good Indian food at very cheep prices to the takeaway market. It's not flash, it's not healthy, and it's not as delicious as some of the higher end take aways - but there's nothing wrong with it and I recommend it to you heartily.

Wallington and the other towns of East Sutton are blessed with a number of excellent Indian Restaurants, however this one stands out. Food is always cooked well and the spices and flavours are abundant in every dish. Would recommend the Chicken Patia and the Chicken Jalfrezi. Just wished they weren't take away only... they should snap up one of the neighbouring restaurant units.

We have used the Spice Hut for a number of years and feel the prices are very reasonable and the food normally very tasty. The chicken is sometimes a little on the dry side and the madras sauce sometimes comes up a little watery when dished up on the plate but the flavours are definitely there and it doesn’t taste watery. If you don’t mind waiting and wish to make a larger order the delivery service is good, but if you are willing to collect you could have your meal in approx. 20 mins even on a Saturday evening. You still get a free potato dish (Bombay aloo) if you order over £10. We have tried a number of different main dishes over the years but my favourite is still the madras. Have tried a couple of other takeaways in the general area but always seem to come back to the Spice Hut. Haven’t really found anywhere else to compare. I’d say give it a try.

I have used the Spice Hut for Indian take-aways since it opened many years ago. Still the same owner. The food is excellent and the quantities ample. Average time for a collect meal is 30 minutes on a Saturday evening. You get a potatoe side dish if you spent £10 or a chicken or lamb bhuna when you spend £20.
