Spice Hut in Sutton

This place has seriously gone downhill. I believe it is under new ownership and the quality has gone down a lot whilst the prices have rocketed. They advertise a 20 per cent discount for collecting the order but they don’t apply it and you have to haggle! Awful. It used to be so good but they have lost our custom now. The new owners are also very rude. Old owner was lovely.

Been eating here for 20 + years moved out of area 7 years ago just popped in tonight as was in area visiting friends and food was exactly as always too notch a++

It’s been many years Eating here however the quality of the food has gone down, really disappointed with this place. I won’t recommend this place to anyone. Hygiene level isn’t that good god knows how it’s open.

1st time ordering takeout,good service.We ordered online no problem.Nice tikka masala,spicy patia lovely tarka dhal .Onion bargi one portion is four tiny ones but nice,cooked well.It only took half an hour but it was a Sunday.Would use them again,good value.

I love the spice hut. I have recently moved so it's no longer my local. But I used to order regularly before. Great vegetarian dishes. Great prices. Always on time or early !

Yummy Biryani! I'm a lover of biryani and Spice Hut definitely didn't disappoint me. I went for my favourite the Chicken Biryani - good portion size, the rice was nice and the chicken was tender. I also enjoyed the Tarka Dhal(Lentils), Excellent service throughout. I will be back soon!

Normally order every week on Saturday most times it's good food but sometimes the chicken is either overcooked very tough to chew or recooked not sure which but a message to the owner and staff who are very nice look after your regular customers and don't take them for granted PLEASE!!

Good day. Usually attend this place. It’s pretty good. Very rarely and I mean, very rarely, we get a missing item or the food is not as good as the time before. I wouldn’t go as far to say it is hit or miss though, excuse the pun. Would be five stars but due to it’s location by the extremely stylish pub across the road, it is docked points. I use this place quite a lot, always had good service and I like the food, plus they always accommodate my change of order request. I was wondering if it has recently changed ownership as I hope not as always received a good service. If it has, I hope this continues.

Food is always delicious and normally it is delivered on time, but tonight for some reason it was delivered 20 minutes after the given time..... it didn’t detract from the enjoyment though

They forgot the keema naan but had someone else deliver it before I even realised. Both delivery drivers very pleasant, food hot and tasty and on time. Prices very competitive. Would definitely order again!

I ordered from spice hut through hunger horse on a recommendation from a friend.The food was reasonably good but my son said he had had better korma.That said it was all still very enjoyable.My only gripe was that we waited over an hour and a half.I rang twice after an hour and both times was told he was on he’s way and had got lost on the first delivery.As I only live less than a 5min drive from them and the other address was in the next road I couldn’t understand were he was.When he eventually turned up I said were have you been and he said he had 3 deliveries to do(I understand that)but when I said I hope it’s not cold he said it won’t be I only picked it up 5mins ago.Someone was lying?I more than Likely will use again but ring direct and won’t pay until it turned up that way If it’s too late I won’t except it.That said it was nice.

Order took an hour and a half to be delivered. The food wasn't that great when it did arrived. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

One of the worst curries I've had in ages! Very bland, forgot 3 of my items. Will not be going back there!! Overall very poor!

Delivery took a hour and a half to come! food came cold. Threw most of it away none of it was nice tasted horrible

As a keen foodie, I'm very particular about my most favourite dish, the King Prawn Vindaloo with plain rice and couple of papadoms. I'm delighted to say Spice Hut's version was most excellent! I'll most certainly be back soon and often!

This is the new place to go for my curry. It is absolutely mouth-watering. Was delivered on time and piping hot. Well packed too so no spills. Will be using this place a lot.

Good food as always. Not that I should complain about freebies but we really don't appreciate the free spiced potato dish (and we got two portions this time). It's not really to our taste and we hate having to throw it away every time.. A free beer or a free poppadum would go down much better with this regular customer! Otherwise everything else is always good here - poppadoms are always fresh and crispy, food is tasty and delivery was super quick today. Will keep coming back.

Had takeaway tonight. All dishes were boiled chicken with sauce added. No spice or flavour. Even chicken tikka had no taste. Won't bother again. Such a shame that we can can't find a decent Indian restaurant in the area since Ali and chef sold Mango Lounge.

I had to call to chase the order. They delivered half an hour late... A simple apology would have been nice! In fairness it was well worth the wait... Food was really good and very tasty. Not oily at all! Will order again but not on a empty stomach!

Food was ok nothing amazing, the delivery was absolutely terrible. Over an hour late to the schedule time of arrival (even though I live walking distance from their restaurant). all I got was excuses upon excuses when I complained and not a single free dish or money off voucher to compensate for my time they wasted whislt I was waiting around starving!

We enjoyed the food but they didn't send the 'free spiced potato' we should have received for spending more than £10. Our order came to over £15 and I also mentioned that we wanted that offer in the comments. It was quite annoying because we had planned it as part of one persons meal and we ended up having to cook additional food. We liked what we did receive. Just quite disappointed that they don't seem to honour their offers.

Food was luke warm. Arrived 1 hrs and 35 mins after I had ordered. 25 mins after the estimated delivery time which had already been increased. We also were missing 1 item we had paid for but as we had such a bad service from them we didn't even bother calling to wait another hour. Whole service was horrible.

Cold food, incomplete order and 30 minutes late. A real shame, because what we got tasted really nice. Restaurant very apologetic about incomplete order.

Very Very disappointed, normally order from somewhere else but wanted a change and it came 10 minutes before it was meant to which was great looked good but the chicken korma had absolutely no taste what so ever but the chicken was decent just disappointed

We had a 2hour wait despite after 1hr it being updated by the restaurant to show that it had already been delivered Couldn't contact them as their phone was engaged. Neither could justeat. When it finally arrived the food was very nice but the order was wrong and items missing We won't be using again

You can not expect customers to wait 2 hours for a delivery and still fail to include all ordered items......Never again!

Hadn't used these for a good few years so thought I would try them again. HUGE MISTAKE. The wrong ordered curries (missing TWO of the three mushroom rices we ordered) was delivered TWO AND HALF HOURS after ordering. Tasted bland, small portions and RUDE staff. I had to give one star, but in reality they weren't that good. They did agree to take £10 off the bill, but with hindsight I should have cancelled the order entirely and been hungry. It would have been less stressful and less disapointing. Will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use again.

The food was very late, the onion bhajee was the smallest I've ever seen, the chicken tikka chilli masalla ok, as the the tandoori king prawn, minute, is an understatement to say the least, we will not order again.

A menudo recoger así como son el puente de nosotros. Normalmente tienen el pollo Tikka main, con salsa de menta, y mi marido pollo Madrás. Rara vez tienen algo diferente, pero cuando tenemos, siempre es excelente. Muy buena relación calidad-precio, y el personal siempre nos reconoció.

Had to wait such a long time for this order. Lied to when rung to chase. Food cold when it arrives no apology from the guy delivering. Seems to be a recurring thing! Not ordering from there again

the WORST meal from them to date. Took nearly two hours NOT forty mins, some items were luke warm, the others cold. The pathia sauce was taste less & the sauce runny like water
