Probably the best korma I have tasted.!The service was amazing ,very friendly and helpful. Naam bread so soft and tasty.Cant fault the food, just sorry we have never been before .Definitely go again.Highly recommended

We visited for the first time in a while on Wednesday evening and tried the Tapas offer Just £11.90 per person and we got a poppadum each with chutney tray, then a tray each with 2 curries, a side, rice and bread All piping hot and extremely tasty, my personal favourite was the lamb saag balti Great deal and priced perfectly in my opinion

Always enjoy our meals here. Food is tasty and fresh and the menu has a lot of variety. The staff are really friendly and service quick. Would recommend booking.

My friends and I live either side of the Pennines and meet her once a month. The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor and ambiance is great (much more modern than most Indian restaurants) and the food is fabulous. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - they really look after you and there are some really unusual dishes to try (as well as the standard Indian favourites)

I wanted to go here for some time. I was very pleased with my decision, we went at 6-30 having booked. We had a warm welcome and there was a multi-choice menu. Both of us were well satisfied. A minor item, my wife had a vegetarian dish. This included broccoli and cauliflower. The stalks were very hard and she did not eat them. We felt that these parts should have been cut out prior to cooking.

Visited at weekend with my wife having read the positive reviews. It was ok. Not bad. Not great, however. Just felt a little underwhelmed to be honest and expected more having seen the 5/5 rating. Food was fine and staff pleasant and friendly. Price was reasonable I guess. Negatives would be: Parking extremely limited. Dark and dimly lit. Very cold atmosphere and temperature. Again, just thought it would be something a bit more stand-out and it was just… ok. We have eaten curries all over the world, however, so maybe we just come to expect that bit more. Would we visit again? Probably not.

Decided to see if the reviews lived up to the hype, and they did! Really nice food, full of flavour, but best of all you could tell it was FRESH. Even the naan breads were made in-house and were so fluffy (99% sure they were homemade!). Stands out from any Indian we’ve had in the area for sure. Will definitely be visiting again!

Fabulous food, warm welcome, excellent recomendations ( thanks Mo). One of the tastiest curries we have had in a long while. Seafood curry brilliant and Railway Curry packed with flavour. Loved the spinach rice and vegatable bhaji. Would highly recommend

The best Indian food. Best flavours. Not the cheapest but worth it. We live in Glossop and travel here rather than the local Indian restaurants. Always friendly, great for takeaways too. Recommend

Not been here for a while so decided to get a takeaway as we used to be so impressed with the quality of the food. Sadly this time it was very disappointing. The lamb was tough in the saag balti, all the dishes were quite bland and swimming in ghee. Felt quite ill after eating it and the sink was covered in grease. Very sad as it used to be brilliant. Hoping it was just an off day or we ordered badly.

We enjoyed a gorgeous family meal here! Food was stunning! 10/10. The kids loved there dish to with a personalised touch! The staff where really friendly, thank you to Naz for looking after us! X

We tried this place on the way to Manchester airport a couple of weeks ago, a lovely waiter called Mahfuj Khan was extremely helpful with advising us what to order, we weren’t disappointed, wow, it was amazing! So much taste! So much so we called on our way back from the airport to enjoy yet another choice of curry, staff are all really lovely, we will definitely be driving over here again soon with the family, well worth the drive!

Lovely meal. Treated my daughter to chicken tikka massala and I had the railway chicken with spinach rice. Both were delicious as was a seekh kebab starter. Friendly service, food arrived quickly, couldn't ask for more. Thank you x

We hadn't been back since lockdown, but this remains our favourite local Indian restaurant. The food is outstanding and the waiting staff know so much to advise upon. Service is first class and friendly. Plenty of vegetarian choice. Would very very highly recommend.

We ordered different curries along with extras on Boxing Day 2022 for collection. The food and service was Excellent, would definitely recommend to others.

I am a vegetarian and find that I am often disappointed with the food at Indian restaurants as frequently for some inexplicable reason many use frozen veg - peas, beans, sweetcorn etc. That was not the case at this fabulous restaurant!! I had the vegetarian tapas, and the food was delicious, lovely and hot and all fresh veg, none of your tinned mushrooms here! We will definitely will be back! I must also add that the restaurant was very nicely decorated and looked very classy. I loved everything about the place.

We have been to this restaurant many times and everything we have had was very nice, we normally have Lamb Roganjosh.Last night we ordered a takeaway and thought we would try something different so we ordered Aloo Chana Gosht, well I must say it was the best curry I have ever had, it was that good we are ordering it again tonight.The staff are friendly, we cannot wait until they are fully open again so we can eat inside, you are a credit to our village.

So pleased to see this awesome restaurant back doing takeaways during the lockdown from Covid 19. Their food is the best around, best ingredients are put into their meals which shows in the meals. Had a lovely takeaway last night (6.5.20) perfect as always. Their children’s portions are immense and great value for money.They have a great process for collection, no contact just order pay contactless and collect. Looking forward to the full restaurant opening once we are passed this awful pandemic. #supportlocalbusiness.

Bangladeshi plant based evening was very busy so seems it maybe very popular in the future so will be going again. Lots of fresh authentic dishes each with their own individual unique flavour. Myself and partner whilst staying in the local area decided to visit Spice Bistro. Service was exemplary as was the food. These people take pride in the food and the service they provide. Could not fault anything. Will definitely return when passing.

Heard good reviews about this place and living just a couple of miles away I decided to try it out.Phoned the order through with no issues. The person taking the order was very polite and checked it was correct before putting the phone down. I arrived 20 mins later and the food was ready. I went with my 2 kids (aged 6 and 7) to pick up the food and the staff gave them free lollies which they liked.I ordered the Madras which was one of the nicest ones I have had in a while, the perfect heat and very tasty. I was a little more expensive than my normal takeaway but was better in my opinion and I will go again. Only downside is they don't deliver but least it was still hot then I got it home and the time it was collected is in my hands so no waiting around for the driver.

Nipped in here Thursday night - never been before, thought it was fantastic. Mo and Jay were really attentive and friendly and the food was brilliant. Its a lovely little place and we will definitely be back. Very fresh and delicious food.

Myself and nine friends had a early evening meal here at the end of October. We asked for two platters of mixed starters to be shared between all of us. What actually arrived was a mixed starter for each of all ten of us. It was probably a misunderstanding...but even so that's a pretty hefty starter and some diners struggled to finish their first course.

Great meal out tonight. Staff were friendly and attentive. One of us mentioned about loving the mango chutney and when we ordered our 2 pickle trays they brought him an extra bowl of mango chutney. It was really nice gesture.

Disappointing to say the least. I spent money on bland food that was full of onions. Such a waste of food as lot of it remains untouched as it was that poor. Won't be returning anytime soon.

We wanted to try a new curry house that we hadn't been to before, so we looked at the highest rating place near us and this came up - we were not disappointed! We went for the tapas dishes, meat and fish - all were really tasty and nicely presented, the staff were lovely, we did have a small wait for our table, but the quality and service made up for that. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back soon

I have tried a number of dishes over the years, and have been amazed at the quality and service with each visit. Nothing is too much effort and the chef is more than accommodating in tweaking your curry, or making your food a little hotter if required. All the curries are made from scratch therefore the quality and flavour is second to none. Best curry restaurant and takeaway around.

Beautiful delicious food and great service. Everything tasted fresh and perfect portions. We have tried many different dishes and enjoyed them all. There is a wide range of food on the menu with some items I have not seen elsewhere. Great advice was also offered to my children about what to pick.

As visitors to the area we were recommended this restaurant by a local. Well decorated and spotlessly clean with specialities, old favourites and child friendly dishes on the menu. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

We just had a meal at this wonderful bistro. The staff were excellent suggesting dishes and were not at all pushy. The food was the best we have had for a long time. The whole place is geared to helping the customer enjoy their food. I would have absolutely no hesitation about giving the highest recommendation to this superb eatery.

Had a voucher for £30 to spend. We had 2 poppadoms, we both had chicken korma but shared the chips and egg fried rice. The curry was excellent as was the fried rice. We had ice cream for dessert and a pint of cobra and a water. The bill came to £30. Would recommend the curry.

Our friend took us this restaurant and we are so glad he did. From the warm welcome to the very well prepared speciality curries which were very tasty. An excellent restaurant we will visit again.

Another visit to our favourite place , My Friend just loves the curries here , presentation is really good , I had the tandoori mix grill it was exceptional.

Love it here Naz and his team are so welcoming. I’m plant based and they always accommodate me with a lovely curry with so much flavour. Another plus is they use fresh veg not frozen or tinned, such depth and flavour to the curries here. Try it you won’t be disappointed

I have eaten here a few times with my family. The food is excellent, the meat in the curries always tastes tender and fresh. The meat and fish tapas are great for when you can’t make up your mind. The takeaway food is also fantastic. The staff are extremely polite. I can not recommend this place enough. Can’t wait for my next visit.

I ordered takeaway from this restaurant recently. The naga dish I ordered there was no taste of naga and the naan was very soggy. Really don't think going back.

Went early evening for my sons birthday. It was a very enjoyable meal. We all enjoyed our curries which were varied. It was served by pleasant waiting staff. They also had a good choice of desserts which is unusual for an Indian restaurant. Can recommend the korma, chicken tikka and the beef curry. Would definitely go again.

Fodd was very good and served piping hot. great selection of house specialities. and the nan bread was freshly cooked and delicious. Service was great and the staff were very atentive. Drinks were reasonbly priced. We will most certainly return.

Really enjoyed this place because it not only provides excellent food but the staff go out of their way to ensure that you feel welcome and take pride in their work making sure that all your needs are catered for. They offered advice on what foods might best suit our palates with each dish prepared and spiced to our own individual requirements.

People say I am super fussy eating out – well you have to be if it’s your money your spending. I ordered lemonade & lime – lemonade tasted flat, one of the waiters offered to replace for me, although not brilliant was better second time round, tasted like bottled lemonade that had been opened for ages. Hubby ordered beer and not a problem.

I met a friend from work staying in the nearby Premier Inn and we picked the Spice Bistro from reviews. If anything the reviews were not positive enough. Service was friendly, efficient but not overbearing and their recommendations were excellent. Due to the heat outside we did not have our normal curry dishes and I had Chicken Tikka and my friend had a chefs special with a couple of beers. The food was presented as a high end restaurant and tasted amazing, my colleagues dish was huge with potatoes, keema and Chicken in a tasty sauce. Again service was excellent and timed to perfection. Well Done 10 out of 10.

It was really nice they asked me what my name was then when I got my food my name was written really posh on the plate in this edible icing. The curry is really nice in all types and every bit of it is good and it looks really cool inside.

This Indian restaurant is easily missed as you drive through Hollingworth, it doesn't look much from the outside but it certainly is one to visit if you like Indian food.
