We have recently moved to this area and as a lover of Indian food - I've been eating it now for over 40 years - I think I'm adept at knowing a good curry from a bad one. I would say that there wasn't too much to grumble about regarding it's hotness, the quality of the ingredients or the price. However, my partner and I both had the Murghi Spice Special which is a chicken dish NOT a vegetable one!!! Can you now see where this is going? There were lots of vegetables in the dish - mainly onions - but hardly any chicken. I told them it was my first time using them on the phone when I made the order, so I would of expected them to try and make an instant impression...which they haven't! I will try them again at some point as they food was decent but will make a point of letting them know about my first experience with them.

The worst Indian food I have ever had. We ordered pilau rice, murgh balti and paneer pakoda. They were badly cooked, with poor seasoning and terrible taste. An evening ruined while on holiday. We had to throw away most of what we ordered !

Very disappointed after checking the reviews, was expecting something far better. Tikka masala tasted like it had been marinated in vinegar, Very odd. Would not use again.

Ordered the 1 person meal. Chose veg pakora, chicken tikka rogan, lemon rice, veg naan, poppadoms & dips. I shared with a friend as neither big eaters. And it came with a complimentary salad. The whole meal was utterly delicious. Full of flavour, not greasy, and so much food. A real feast! The staff serving was very polite and friendly. An absolutely wonderful 1st visit. Would 100% recommend.

New to Longridge and, as lovers of Indian food, my wife and I were looking forward to a take away. We ordered a starter of Onion Bhaji, followed by Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Jalfrezi with Pilau Rice and a Garlic Naan. Starters were ok, both mains were a little dry and the Naan was doughy. Cost was just under £18. Sorry, was all very ordinary and we won't be rushing back.

Order delivered not as placed. Food mediocre at best. How much tinned tomato soup can you pack into a curry. Nan breads undercooked and doughy. Not quite sure how two different curries can taste the same. Never ever again. Best to avoid

Ordered the two person meal deal which is really good value for money. It was late and in the end, we went and collected it. When we got home and ate, it was so worth the wait. Yummy food and great value for money. We will be returning but will be collecting next time.

We have been using spice for several years and have never been disappointed. Many takeaways start off good but then slowly the quality drops! Not spice, constantly Excellent with healthy portions freshly made, They say on the website they don't deliver to my post code but after speaking to them, they will, So its worth checking. You wont use another takeaway after using spice.

Eight people (admittedly a few kids), bought half the restaurant, it still only cost us 55 quid! Absolutely stunning food, plenty of pickles with the pops, great naans and the curries were spiced to perfection. Wish I had as good a curry house in my home town...

Thought we would try here instead of our preferred choice Indian lounge. Food and portions were good. I had one of my fav curries a Bhuna which normally is very aromatic. Here I found it very very bland with little flavour. We also had mixed tandoori main which was good but again the curry sauce it comes with was very bland. The korma was good. I guess it depends on individual taste. I don’t like hot things but I love to taste the spices on this place occasion I didn’t taste much spices and was disappointed.

A take away Indian with top quality chefs who really care about quality and customer satisfaction. Very fresh ingredients - expertly prepared and total value for money. They pride themselves on not using ghee oils - and so you don't get the usual greasy film floating on top of your dish. Because their food is way better than any Indian restaurants in the area, we've ended up not going out as much and eating 'Spice' at home - perfect.

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

Turned up at about 8.50am on Easter bank holiday Monday. Had checked the website before hand. It said open at 8am. So we went along. 4 of us. Three adults and a 2 year old. Got to the door, which was open. Was told “we open in 10 minutes” we asked if we could sit inside for that time (because it was a bit chilly outside) but the dark haired girl said she was doing the cashing up so no we couldn’t. I was there with my daughters and a 2 year old. We were hardly going to rob the place. Plus, it turned out when we got inside that this was a building with a very open communal seating area which she could have let us sit at for 10 minutes. We ordered our food. I asked if there was any juice for kids (the 2 year old) - the dark haired girl working said “only what we’ve got in the fridge”. I said “don’t you have any orange juice or anything like that?” The reply being - “only what we’ve got in the fridge” which was those pretentious glass bottles of 1930’s fizzy pop (the brand that does stuff like dandelion and burdock). I bought two bottles of “Orange and Mandarin” thinking they weren’t fizzy. They were. More fool me. Basically Tory Fanta. Anyway. I went and sat down with my older daughters and my 2 year old son. My daughters ordered avocado on toast with salmon. I had a full English being the uncouth soul that I am. I asked if they have a kids menu for my 2 year old. The answer was no. I ordered him beans, one sausage and some scrambled eggs. I was told this could be done from the side menu, that alone cost £7.50. The beans, sausage and eggs came out on the same plate as one of my daughters breakfast. We had to guess that was the case (not mastermind but still ridiculously daft that they’d do this) we had to ask for a plate for my 2 year old who was in a high chair. Anyway. Another family came in about the same time as us. Low and behold another of their staff bought out two huge glasses of orange juice for them. So they did have other drinks available. My full English was ok, but it wasn’t great. The bacon was burned. It wasn’t crispy like the menu says. It was burned. So if the proprietor/owner wants to reply to this with a clever comment. The bacon was burned. Also, the poached eggs were COLD. And I don’t mean not quite warm, they were cold. We were the first people in, the place wasn’t busy and somehow I was served cold poached eggs. I’ve re read through the menu tonight before writing this review. Whenever I choose a place to eat again I’m always going to look for the word “Artisan” because that to me, on the whole means not very good. The “Artisan” toast I received was just sliced bread, but toasted. They even claim to have an “Artisan” Brioche bun If you look up the definition of “Artisan” in the dictionary it says. a person or company that produces something (such as cheese or wine) in limited quantities often using traditional methods —often used before another noun artisan breads I don’t think that you can claim that obviously pre sliced bread or even a Brioche Bun is “Artisan”. There’s too many mediocre cafes/restaurants who have latched onto this word and used it. The company website claims “We focus on quality and sustainability above all, which extends to everything we do. From our suppliers to takeaway packaging, we carefully select each element keeping you and the planet in mind. We support local, and well-being of the community is at the heart of what we do.” This is nonsense. My daughters asked for some tap water, they were pointed towards one of those fancy upside down glass water bottles, and plastic cups, plastic lids. Lots of plastic. They had paper straws. I don’t know about you, but if you want to be really sustainable, if someone asks for tap water, give them a glass of tap water in a glass. Zero plastic, zero waste. To finish up. Pros - pretty pattern on the coffee. Cons - Really incredibly gormless staff; bad cook who can’t even cook bacon or keep a poached egg warm; rude; not child friendly as no kids menu even at weekends/bank holidays (although there was a couple of high chairs). As you can imagine I will never be going back to this place. I’ve given them two stars because my daughter liked the swirly pattern on the top of her Flat White.

Called into after visiting an attraction 10 minutes away. So glad we found it after a quick google map search. With a tired 2 year old some pub staff would pull their face but here they were great and so accommodating. They brought out his good first and one he got stuck in his mood changed. The food for all of us was great and we couldn’t finish it. The service was impeccable and it was great to see a lively, upbeat pub/restaurant/inn doing so well. Plenty of others including our local could learn a lot from them. We also loved the resident dogs coming to say hello. Thanks for a great end to a lovely, sunny Sunday.

I hadn't been in Tastebuds for some time for a breakfast so today I thought I'd give it a try. I t was busy and so I was prepared to wait, 40 mins. later I got my food, some of it was warm some was cold(tomato) the sausage was well cooked and hard on one side and hard to cut through and the bacon... must have been the smallest piece I have ever had, the egg when picked up dropped to bits, oh the mushrooms were ok and at £8.95 I thought it was very overpriced for the quality and what I got.
