Speedy Noodle in Newham

I was worried about the poor reviews but our friend said it was fine and there were plenty of customers so gave it a shot. It not fine dining, but you know that from the plastic tables and price tag. It certainly is speedy!! Our meals came out in just a few minutes after ordering. Very large portions, heavy on the carbs i.e. lots of rice or noodles. Some of the meals were a bit low on meat/fish/veg content but very tasty. The duck and rice had plenty of duck.

I for the very first time went to this restaurant and the experience and food was absolutely below average. I ordered a soup bowl to eat in and noodles to take out. Got home and opened noodles no hardly any meat all noodles and taste less. I would not recommend and will definitely be not revisiting. Stay away from this restaurant.

I and my wife have been going to Speedy Noodles for a few weeks, the food is generally great, both tasty and spicy, and amazing Chinese tea, leading to a sumptuous meal. The customer service is good, and it has a calm and cosy atmosphere about the place. Hence, I have given the review 4 stars. We visited Speedy Noodles recently (over the weekend), and on the wall it had a notice expressing that food products may contain “Cooking Wine”. Having Googled this term, I found that on average cooking wine contains 16% ABV alcohol content, meaning 16 ml would be pure ethyl alcohol in a sample of 100 ml. Please note that cooking wine has also a higher alcohol content than many drinking wines, to make the food more tasty. Having done the above research, we advised the staff to kindly not put any cooking wine in the food. This is an alert to our dear Muslim brothers and sisters, to become aware that their meals may contain alcohol, and it would be wise to politely ask the staff there to refrain from putting cooking wine in their meals (I was informed that not all meals contain this, however, it’s best to check), inshAllah. I have seen many women with hijabs and brothers with long beards, eating at this place, I hope my message is helpful. Please spread the message, thanks.

Worst Chinese food I've eaten. Only ordered because its Monday and my usual is closed. Never again Food made me feel sick, majority went in the bin Ribs was not spicy just really bad tasting. Rice and noodles also bad tasting. Not good quality rice. pork balls tasting funny Deep fried shredded chilly chicken looked like massive maggots. Only thing worth eating was the veg spring rolls

This place is cash only. Waited a long time for 5 noodle dishes. Sweet and sour chicken was ok, the two thai dishes were not,bland and looked like vomit. Sprimg rolls were rock hard and clearly just the shop bought stuff we can all get readily. It was cheaper than other places so probs thats why cash only. No covid measures and the eating area was closed off but looked dirty and dated. I wouldn't go again.

Went & ordered takeaway but didn’t check the order until I came home. They didn’t give my free drink which comes with an order over £20 and the calamari rings was so hard we couldn’t chew on it. It’s not the first time it has happened but previously I just thought they must have been busy when I had it delivered but today I went in & got it myself and it wasn’t even busy during a weekday. Won’t be going back there.

We ate in the Speedy Noodles and the food is delicious. The price is affordable. We will go there and ate again.

Deffinately not speedy, I've never waited so long for take away food, over 25 minutes, and the place was near empty. Food was bland, lacking in flavour, very disappointing. I wont be going back a second time and will return to regular chinese takeaways from now on.

Food was absolutely disgusting. I order the same meal as my niece noodles with sweet and sour chicken both looked like different dishes taste was awful. Chips were hard as rock, prawn balls looked as if they were soaked in oil over night I wouldn’t advise anyone to eat here unless your after a instant bellyache. This is not a mean review but just pure honesty.

Worst service and food was revolting I had Nasi Goreng it was so greasy and only had 3 prawns in it. The guy serving us was more interested in the mirror than customer service my friend wanted to take the rest of his meal home which we got charged for the container and bag which was thrown on the table. Never again.....

We eat here from time to time . A bit hit n miss . Sometimes food is great -sometimes crap-today prawn crackers was stale and hard. When I complained the waiter said " they are all out the same batch -so can't change them!" Sorry I'm not eating stale food I'm paying for !!!! I made sure they took the price off the bill. The customer service is awlful-they don't try and rectify any errors.

Me and my husband have been regularly (at least once a month, but sometimes even twice a week) visiting Speedy Noodles since 2013. Their food is quite nice and there’s a good variety and food goes from not spicy at all to quite spicy. They also serve halal chicken and beef (but possible pork contamination due to pork being served on the premises). We have been overall very happy with their service, food and portion sizes (humongous which I love hehe) although I have noticed recently (at least for their takeaway) they have reduced their sizes drastically (their boxes are literally half the depth they were up until a month ago...) quite disappointing as their prices have increased a little. Beware that items like squid rings aren’t great for takeaway as they tend to become rock hard by the time they reach you... Not appropriate for a business lunch/dinner and not ideal for a posh first date. The restaurant looks a lot like a simple takeaway place.. Said all of the above, it’s still a great place for a meal and I’ve been going for 6 years... not planning to stop anytime soon).

The food is yummy and good priced. We were a bit surprised to hear the roasted duck wasn’t halal and thanks to the lovely waitress for informing us.

The food took almost 40 minutes to come and the beef dish had a very bad odour that just thinking about it makes me throw up. Had to eat the plain rice with just chilli oil. Definitely won’t recommend.

This place is awesome especially when you can place an order with just eat and enjoy it without having to leave home. Just great food st the comfort of your home.

Buena comida, grandes porciones por debajo de 6. Muy sabroso, familiar, sin lujos restaurante. No hay decoración de interiores, pero usted sabe que puede llevarse a su familia y aún llevar algo de casa si no pueden terminar el plato de comida. Este es un restaurante olvidado y ha estado allí por años.

I have been eating at this place for a long time now & love the food & what is great about it is it's at a great price to, better than some of the other places I have been to.

Very disappointed in the food, I ordered prawn noodles and it was bland, tasteless and no flavours, even the prawn crackers had no taste. The price is reasonable and the service was OK.

I always find their take away is bad. The squid starters is dry m over cooked. The main course just doesn’t taste the same as eating in. When u eat in the food is great.

To be honest this is not chinese food.. crabmeat wasn't crabmeat, egg fried rice wasn't cooked properly , king prawn cooked in ginger& spring onions was 1* ( 4 prawns and the sauce had too much cornstarch and onion than taste). Lamb in black pepper was red meat again in a thick gravy. We could not eat.spend £20 in vain.Will not recommend this place to anyone

Im a regular customer at speedy noodle, I order the same dish everytime i go there, everyone there knows me and when I came in today i got the most horrible service.

The food was delivered early which was great, however the quality was not very good. Everything tasted like it has been reheated and then delivered to me. All in all not the worst food ever but definitely far from being the best. Not worth the money.

Worst food tasted. Seaweed was not crispy. Ribs were hard and almost meatless. Food was cold when it arrived late. Spring rolls were soggy and prawn toast very oily. Called but was told there were on the way twice and that I would just have to wait as the driver had a lot of deliveries to do. I WONT BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN

If I could give less than one star I would. Ordered at 7.50pm and was told we would receive our food at 9.00pm. It was a Friday night so obviously know it may not be bang on time, but when I phoned at 9.20pm, the lady on the phone said it was on its way and would be 5 mins. 30 minutes later, there is finally a knock on the door. Dish up the food and of course...its cold! Try phoning the restaurant to complain but engaged for at least 15 minutes. Just Eat helped out with trying to get a refund, but apparently the restaurant could only give back £5.00. If you want a nice meal and to have it before you need to go to bed, I would recommend trying somewhere else!!

I ordered food from Speedy Noodles which included egg fried which was horrible, no egg at all. Food was cold and the Pineapple Fritters was soggy and oily. Not impressed and will not order from here ever again. Terrible.

Dreadful. Food was 30 minutes late. Called the restaurant to find out where the driver was. They didn't even speak English! Food arrived cold and no free bottle of drink. Called Just Eat to complain. The restaurant called to say they will give me the bottle of drink "next time." I don't think so. Would never use again. Avoid at all costs!!!

Was 1 hour early the chow mein was a bit tasteless the ribs a bit hard and the prawn balls had way to much batter round them

Chips were soggy as we're the prawn balls. Sauce in the ribs had leaked everywhere as the lid was left open by the restaurant. Food wasn't hot at all. I was speaking to someone on the live chat but it ended when he was investigating. So I will just collect my food myself in future as between speedy noodle and just eat I don't get a response.

30 min Late delivery and rubbish food. Dissapointed.

Not happy unfortunately. Usually reliable. But this time they took 1 hr 20 min to deliver. And also we ordered chicken satay with sauce. But only chicken with no sauce was delivered. Annoyed as it spoilt our dinner !

tasty food,big portions arrived on time

the schezuan chicken was horrible it was all watery lacked flavour and spice. i did not enjoy it at all! it was on the verge of being disgusting. the chicken fried rice totally bland, what saved me was the chilli oil i bought which i asked for but when the delivery driver came i was charged. however, what saved my meal was the kung po prawns and the sesame prawn toast they were really good really enjoy it. i hope the restaurant does look at this review and does improve their food standards

He comido aquí varias veces. La cuestión de hecho es que no son los peores, y cuando les molesta la comida puede pasar como agradable. He comido aquí antes y disfrutamos de su comida. Sin embargo, el tiempo antes de hoy, he tenido una experiencia horrible con ellos. Pedí la comida, la comida llegó 2 horas más tarde sin siquiera una disculpa del conductor, pero una broma. La persona en el teléfono estaba mintiendo y aún fuimos a conseguir grosero conmigo, que creo que es inaceptable. Hoy revisitada, la comida estaba bien, pero me pareció que el chow mein cebolla en mi aún estaban un poco crudo para mi gusto y había un poco demasiado, pero todo el mundo a su propia preferencia. Lo que me pareció repugnante era el lápiz labial en mi vaso. El personal era muy atentos, ya que tenía que sentarse por 10 minutos antes de la de los miembros del personal se acercó y la tienda estaba relativamente tranquilo. En general, arriésgate si quieres porque puede ir en u uno de sus días buenos.

Este es mi lugar favorito para comer comida china. El servicio desde el principio hasta el final, siempre es muy buena. La comida es muy sabrosa, y tienen cientos para elegir. Me encanta comer el brócoli y sus especialidades picantes en el menú. La comida se sirve siempre en menos de 10 minutos. Es el lugar mejor china alrededor. El personal es muy servicial y siempre te ayudan cuando lo necesitas.

The food was here so quickly I indeed got speedy noodles excellent. However on my last order there was a mix up and I was told I would be compensated on my next order. That did not happen unfortunately...

Ordered kung po. But did not taste like kung po. The sauce was way too runny and bland. The chicken was boiled chicken rather than crispy fried.

I had specifically requested for the order at 9.00 but it came at 8.45. Food was good and had large portions.

great food, nice tofu, but delivery took 1 hour 45mins. I had to call up to chase. When the driver finally 'arrived' I had to describe where we live multiple times. 10mins on the phone for directions. Worst delivery I've ever had. Definitely not speedy!

I waited 1.5hrs for it to be delivered, the food was freezing cold. they should consider changing their name from Speedy Noodle to Slow Coach.

They forgot an item but then blamed it was my fault as i ordered online and it shows exactly what had been ordered but trying put my point across they put the phone down on me....So NO i will never order from them again.

Normally good service, but last order overly long wait time and then food stone cold on delivery - indicating that it had been ready and left sitting before been sent out for delivery. Not good customer experience.

QThis was probably one of the best takeaway an dine in restaurants within the E6 area, always a bubbly place to visit. Lately the food has deteriorated and the customer care has gone way below par an I suppose the empty seats just reflects how things ain't what they use to be. The food received was tasteless and incorrect.
