Great place for small businesses and food outlets, I had the chicken Souvlaki wrap from the Sasa, the Greek street food place. Very delicious and would recommend.

Great variety of places. Fair prices. Quick service. Fab food 😍

Lovely spot for some summer drinking and food

Discovered this place on a weekend away and have been going back regularly ever since, atmosphere is pretty chill and the food is awesome, brought right to your table, so everyone can have something different if they want. Pretty cozy with the roof on in the winter but a great sun trap in the summer 🌞

When I visit York, SPARK is a favourite place to visit for some food and drink. Recently, though, I have found the food prices ridiculous when compared to the quality and sometimes quantities of food I get. It may be hard for me to justify visiting here in future

Had a Chat from the Indian street food stall which was excellent. It was quiet and could have been cold out of the sun away from a heater. Imagine it would be great atmosphere once warm summers evening

Popped in for a quick drink and the staff were excellent and the atmosphere great.

Excellent street food venue with plenty of variety - though fairly limited for vegetarians and vegans. I visited the Latin grill for a chipotle burrito.

Very very nice place 😊 and fall in love with the Spicy Tommy’s Margarita Lots of choice for food: everyone can enjoy themselves. The waiters and waitresses are very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend. Maybe a little out of budget for students but the experience is so nice that you have to let loose from time to time.

Some of the food places take longer to arrive than others. Drinks generally arrived quickly. Can be a bit rowdy but a busy and vibrant place. Great heaters.

Ate at the Greek takeaway, bland tasteless food. Went back next day and had a Indian meal. Watery bland expensive curry. Ok for drinks, but eat elsewhere.

A huge choice of different foods and drink options served over two floors. A food and drink court with varied dishes from Greek to Argentinian and cocktails to beer. Open, courtyard style, seating areas both down and upstairs. All staff were very friendly and helpful and all had a smile to share. Prices vary but none seemed too expensive. We tried a loaded hotdog and a burrito wrap which were both tasty and filling. We also tried some loaded chips which were excellent. I would recommend this place not only for individuals eating alone but families with children and group parties. All in all, certainly worth a visit and would highly recommend.

Always a fave . Deffo get under a seat with the heaters on at this time of the year though ( April).

It is awesome to walk through, so many vendors with great street food.

Possibly my favourite food venue in the UK. Cluckin Oinks is incredible, as is Trio. I visit here every time i'm in York and recommend to everyone

Visited York today with some friends and we had some dinner here, being able to order through the app is a blessing because tables are in short supply so you gotta stay there 😂. I'm a bit of a clumsy bugger so tables and chairs are a bit too close, I bumped into 2 people letting my friend out to go to the bog. Really cool atmosphere though I really enjoy the space! Thanks a bunch!

Worth visiting just the once, service was extremely slow unfortunately and most of the food here is extremely expensive.

Great place to try lots of different food and drink. Was there for lunch 19th march. Had a milanese from tiro and a beer from piccadilly tap. Food and drink were great and reasonable quick. My gf had a gyro which took a while longer but still good. Pricey for a lunchtime is the only reason it doesn't get a 5th star. Recommended.

Neat little spot to go for food/drinks. Be mindful of where you go, as some places are significantly more expensive for drinks. If you are drinking beer or cider, the drinks are fairly priced. If you are drinking cocktails, be prepared to overpay for small portions. (The cocktails were good, just very small and overpriced for what you're getting). There are lots of places to sit, and the seating areas are kept at a nice temperature. For anyone who is underdressed, there are barrels of blankets placed around the seating areas. I would go back again, but would likely skip the cocktails.

Much like many larger cities across Europe, York has their own unique food experience! We love the order to table system where we could order from multiple vendors. We tried the pizza and loaded hotdog and enjoyed both! We would return

The pork gyros loaded fries were incredible! The Mrs couldn't finish hers so more for me! 😂 Will be back to try out the other dishes soon! ❤️

Was really looking forward to eating here but we came up on a Monday for a day trip and it was shut. So hopefully next time.

Overall, a great place to visit with friends and family! It has a quirky and vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of food options to suit different dietary requirements. The venue does get quite busy, so it’s best to arrive early to grab a good spot. One downside is that the toilets can get a bit messy, so you might be better off finding alternatives nearby. Also, while not the venue’s fault, some vendors can be quite pricey—a meal for two with just one drink set us back around £50. Despite that, it’s definitely worth a visit for the variety and experience!

Dropped in for something to eat after a day of exploring York. And I was not disappointed. It's a very relaxing space with a chilled atmosphere and then the food is incredible. I had the smash burger with chips. Totally worth the money as they were cooked to perfection and were so filling. They have several styles of food available here and I'd happily try some of the other flavours & foods available if I visit again.

Really enjoyed this place, lots of menu choices from different kitchens, easy to order food and drinks for the group via a qr code.

The cyberpunk future is here and it's bright and optimistic. Little bars and street food vendors in repurposed shipping containers inside an old circus tent bedecked in fairy lights. It didn't appear to have much by way of gluten free food options, but I was there for the beer which there was a couple of gluten free options for

Fantastic food court, great variety of food; Greek, pizzas, burgers, Indian, veggie, bars, desserts. Ordered Napoli pizza, masala fries, lamb curry and rice, then garlic and rosemary chips. Fantastic portions from each place, pizza was divine, and curry was delicious. Garlic Chips were hot and fresh. Only downside the masala fries were quite cold when they came. Fast service and friendly staff, super cool environment and good vibes ✨

Really cool venue, great that you can order from multiple places on a single bill and have the items brought up to your table. Quality of items was great as well.

SPARK was amazing. A unique food court in York made up of various containers with kitchens and foods from different corners of the world. The Greek street food I had tasted phenomenal, was seasoned perfectly and the portion as well as price was good and fair. They also offer many different kinds of beers and drinks and each seating area had several heating lamps. A bonus is table delivery, fast and friendly staff and the possibility to play dart!

For those who know Spark, as it is, it gets 5 stars. For those who haven't been before, it's a place where you get a table and you can order food from the kitchens that are there, and there are a lot of them, for all tastes. This time I had pizza, probably one of the best I've had in a while.

The place is really nice and pretty. The food is really good too and there are many options for everyone’s taste. The service in particular was very good. We would like to thanks especially Billy for his kindness and helpfulness. We will definitively come back!

Gorgeous street food. We had food from the greek food bar. Really cool atmosphere, quiet and hidden away. A bit cold but there's heaters and blankets to use.

Quite cold given it's effectively mostly outside, but fun and quirky. It's a place that seems fun for younger people to grab a bite and a drink, but it's quite pricey. Our dog was allowed in and got a lot of loving from the staff.

Great place to eat... inexpensive, a great place for young people. Excellent.

Great food place ! An innovative collection of small local food outlets all under one roof :) just go! Easy access from town centre along Piccadilly :)!

I think the food is hit and miss and it’s very expensive! We ordered some samosas and they were so greasy, we couldn’t eat them. £7 for 2! What a waste of money! On the other hand we ordered some tacos and they were really good! We got 3 dishes that I would consider appetisers, plus 2 drinks and it was £40. My £4 latte was also tiny. The atmosphere is good and I love the vibe but the food wasn’t great overall and we didn’t leave feel full. It just felt like a rip off unfortunately, but I do appreciate everywhere is expensive these days. We probably won’t rush back.

Fantastic spot, so much choice and a great space too! Shame it was so freezing cold when we visited the city, hopefully next time we'll be there on a warmer day to really make the most of this place! Especially loved the all-vegan stall Herbivorous, I got their mac and cheese, and some crispy battered mushrooms from another place to go with it 😋

The atmosphere at Spark is ideal for groups or loners. I was there as a loner and enjoyed the ambience.

Great service and a lovely place to hang out. Made to feel welcome and valued by staff - especially Izzy Smith who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we need.

I visited Spark today with work colleagues for a business meeting. At lunchtime, I discovered that food stalls display a sign advising that you notify them if you have an allergy. I mentioned my minor nut allergy and they politely refused to serve me anything. I tried the next stall only to find it displayed the same sign about allergies. Apparently you aren’t allowed to eat if you have any allergy. I won’t be going back.

Love this place. It's a mix of indoor / outdoor space. We went 2nd week of November so it was cold, but upstairs there are heaters to keep you warm. The toilets are frequently cleaned. There's a great selection of food vendors. I loved the fact that you could sit down at a table, scan the QR code to order and pay with your phone, then thr food gets delivered to your table. Amazing!

The atmosphere here is amazing. Loads of little food places and lots to choose from. We had pizza at Rad Pizza Shop and it was delicious !!

Went here during a weekend in York. Lovely place. It was Oktoberfest so they had loads of different German beers on tap which were well kept. The staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful and more than happy to make recommendations on what beers to try. We had some food from the chicken place on the first floor (can't remember the name) but it was delicious. Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon.

Ate here both Friday and Saturday nights of my weekend in York. We had Souvlaki from Sasa on Friday. The grilled meat was absolutely beautiful. On Saturday we had an amazing pizza from Rad's. Loved the atmosphere and the inside/outside vibe. Thought it might be difficult to find somewhere to sit especially it being the weekend and very busy but it wasn't a problem. I wasn't expecting to find a place like this in York!

Our first re-visit in 3 years. Absolutely awesome place. We've tried multiple of the food and drink establishments here and enjoyed them all. Easy to order, great atmosphere, service and facilities. The kids love it too! 😍

My daughter & I visited Clucking Oinks, our absolute favourite for a quick meal. The chicken is the stuff of dreams, I had the pesto burger, 1st time, & it's amazing!! Sun- dried tomato mayo, buffalo mozzarella, the aforementioned chicken strips & the freshest, greenest, tastiest pesto ever. Loved it. Daughter had the strips & fries. Best chips in York by a country mile. Spark has its roof on for winter & despite the gloomy day we were toasty under the heaters. Very friendly & efficient staff. Lovely vibe to the whole place.

A great place for a break from sightseeing and a full variety of food in one place.

A container food area is a combination of many shops, offering a variety of food and alcoholic beverages. The seats are almost full, and every table is full of drinks. It can be seen that everyone is enjoying themselves! Today I ordered the grilled chicken and hamburger set, which was really full of flavor. The common feature is that it is very salty. It is so salty that it is addictive and delicious. It is very suitable for pairing with a glass of beer!

The pizza stall was to busy to take my order at the counter so he said didnt look busy to me been coming to spark for 2 years now you can stick your pizza up your arse i wont be coming back clearly you dont need tbe money

Well worth a visit, quite a few similar places popping up around the country. Good selection of restaurants and bars. Mostly undercover and partially heated.

Blown away by the atmosphere, because i love the open food court vibe. Tried the nachos and a glass of wine - amazing! Worth the visit guys ❤️

Wow came across this place by accident after having lunch at the shambles. I wish we came here first. They do table service and the choice is great they also have great music playing. We will eat here again.. and again and again.

Great location, good selection of good and drinks. Only complaint is that the place opens early but all food vendors don't open until midday ish and none advertise opening times.

I’ve been to spark multiple times now and everytime has been a great experience. There is a great range of foods across the stalls, as well as a variety of drinks you can order. You can order via a website from multiple stores and your food is brought to your table. There are plenty of tables spread across the food court, and also shutters if it rains which is always useful! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

What a brilliant place. Great choice of food. Good choice of drinks. I loved the basic layout and simple furnishings. The atmosphere was lively but friendly. I also love that using the app you can order from different outlets and just pay one bill.

Fabulous food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Visited on our break in York and wish we had something similar in portsmouth. We will definitely return.

We popped in after eating in York so only had drinks. Quite busy and decent atmosphere. It was quite a nice night so nice to sit out but would be a bit more miserable if raining and cold. Heaters help though. I had a good pint from Piccadilly Tap but the wife and daughter were disappointed with their Pimm's and cocktails from Spritz
