The chef Alexander was amazing, cooked everything to perfection, definitely got a regular customer now!

Our server Emma was amazing and so sweet to us throughout our meal, and our chef Alex was amazing, accommodated to our deductions from the sides, overall an amazing atmosphere and we really enjoyed it

Staff are awesome and the food is great. Emma and Alex were amazing. I really like coming here. It’s become one of our regular haunts.

Myself and my Granddaughter had a lovely welcome from SG Staff members Ryan and Keely. They served us Drinks and a hot meal each at Table 26. Ryan and Keely demonstrated excellent customer care qualities and made our whole experience at the Sparking Clog an extremely pleasant one. We will be visiting the SG again, this coming Wednesday to make the final payment for our Christmas Day Lunch for our Family of 9 persons. The SG Is now our local Pub So we will be making visits for food and drinks and other entertainment on a regular basis.

We had a great meal, the service was friendly and brilliant, nothing was too much, great service by Liv, Emma, Alex and Hannah

Fantastic family Christmas dinner spent at the Sparking. First time going out on Christmas Day but I can definitely say we will be back next year. Food was amazing and service was 10/10, would highly recommend for anyone wanting to eat out at Christmas.

This was breakfast with Santa and was a lovely morning which was well organised and kept the children entertained. The elf was absolutely brilliant and the breakfast was great.

We visited today for my sons 18th birthday meal. The staff were great especially the man who sat us down and arranged everything for us when we got there sorry I didn't catch his name but he was amazing. The food was so good. The service was great. We will be back thank you

Always a pleasant experience, specially during cabaret lunch club. It was extremely busy but the staff coped very well even though short staffed. Food was good and choice excellent. .

Traveling up from Birmingham to see our son went in for a bite to eat 3 different meals ordered and all came out as described and was delicious very good priced very very tasty food

Plenty of space not overcrowded, meal very nice, hot when served not long to wait,.would recommend 😉

A bad mistake going here for some lunch 4 of us ended up very sick for the rest of the day / night and the following day. Severely throwing up all through the night , not even being able to hold water down.

First time here. Everything was good apart from the food. The fish didn't taste fresh, you can tell by the taste and look of the meat. The classic burger was very dry. Overall disappointed with the food. I don't expect high standard quality for pub food but I do at least expect certain level of standard. So unfortunately won't come back, but maybe But apart from the food, nice pub for drinks.

Been the last two Monday evenings for food. The place was freezing! both times. Almost walked out but wifey was hungry. Food OK. Will give it a miss for a few weeks to see if heating turned on

I ordered online as the table requested us to do, 2 otherss in the party ordered at the bar, 45 mins later I still hadn't even received the drinks, let alone the food. We went to the bar to ask what's happening as it was not a busy time at all, to be told oh we are having an inspection in the kitchen and no one is even seeing the orders let alone processing them, it won't be long now. Had we known any of this information at the time of ordering we probably would have gone elsewhere but the lack of communication was a massive factor. Then 2 of our meals came out and we tried to wait for the 3rd but it was going cold so we had to eat, after we finished our meals we had to go and ask again what's happening to be told oh her pizza hasn't even gone in the oven yet! Well why would you serve half a table their meals when the others haven't even started being cooked!!

Chef hannah really did what I asked for. I have an intolerance to milk and she actually came to me in person and told me that she did not put any milk in my food whatsoever as i was unsure if i said it vocally enough to staff. I really actually appreciated that. She was so warm amd friendly too. I don't usually leave reviews however, she needs recognition and I will be going with my gran and sister again. Plus, my meal was hot and fit as. Thanks for a great service. My nan had a nice day out

went for a catchup meal with my family here today. i had the garlic doughballs for a starter and fish and chips for the main, the fish was crispy and doughballs were perfection. the atmosphere was perfect for a family catchup and the staff were accommodating for my dads allergies and went above and beyond for us

This is my local pub that I visit frequently. The service is always great and the staff are very friendly. Great selection of drinks and the food is delicious, especially the pizzas! Great menu selection too.

Came in for food with my family, service was great staff were very friendly and poured a good pint. I had a steak which came cooked as i wanted and was very tasty. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Called into this pub with a recommendation from a friend and I’m so glad I came! I was greeted with such an amazing friendly member of staff behind the bar! They had a great selection of wines to choose from! Food was great, and the vegan chicken strips were to die for!! Will definitely be coming back again!

We visited this week and the food was lovely. We really enjoyed the meat lover pizza! And my friend had the ultimate spicy beef burger! All while watching England play. Fantastic atmosphere. Great service. Nice to meet the new managers they seem lovely. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Lovely food but for a catering service the toilets were discussing. We came in on a Saturday afternoon, All toilets were discraful,. Sprayed poo all over each underneath seat. The toilet floor had a wet signs up as if the cleaner had been in but the sinks were dirty. For a food orientation place, the hygiene of the toilets should be made a priority. I would honestly say it was disgusting.

Food was poor, Burger was bland and I asked for a medium rare streak and it came very well done. I would have asked for it to be changed but we had to be somewhere else. The kids said they enjoyed their food. We wont be returning as there are far better places around for the price I paid.

Food was ok, but ordering it was a pain. We tried to order via the QR Code on the table (we were at table 5), but then when we tried to add our Meerkat discount there was nowhere to add it. I then had to go to the bar to re-order it all so that we could use the Meerkat discount. All in all, it took longer to order the food than it took the chef to cook it.

Went to lunch with my wife and daughter, we were greeted immediately as we went in. I placed a food order online on my phone and it worked well. Staff were really friendly. Food came quickly and was really nice. A big thanks guys!

Brand new experience. Left very happy. My brother has a dog with separation anxiety and we were able to celebrate my mums birthday with him as you were able to accommodate his dog without us being left outside. Very happy with the experience and likely to come back

Book 7:00 table for food 8:00 meeting with psychic. Was told I could not have food. The bar staff was lazy weighted between 7 and 10 minutes to be served. Was given the wrong change of £10 needed to argue to get my money back. Will go back to visit psychic but not that pub.

My experience was great here. My steak meal, which I had ordered, was cooked to perfection, and the service was excellent. I was taken out for a meal as a thank-you reward for volunteering. My Rocky Road sundae was delicious, too, although I wish I should have asked for extra chocolate sauce and Marshmellows on top as they had made their way underneath my ice cream, but either way, it was delicious. It's great for a meal for all occasions, but note that children do have to be off the premises at a certain time.

Tables are always sticky, we had to ask for a cloth and wipe our table. Breaded mushrooms could have done with a plate as they were hard to eat out the bowl. Food is nice good menu and great bar drinks choices. Angel is plesant serving us you have nice staff.

We booked a 21st family birthday. Had the steak and ale pie and was upset to find a nasty piece of whatever it was in the meal. An unfortunate family that were there for a wake and buffet ended up sat near us and they must have felt as awkward as we did.

Popped in on the off chance and had a "light bite". Service was good (Liv and Emma) and so was food (Tom)

The male toilets were absolutely disgusting and always have been for at least 15 years, as I know of. Service is poor. I have not had food for a while, but that was OK, nothing special. Avoid is the best thing.

Wish they would clean their tables properly. They are always sticky.

The got our hole order wrong give me the wrong pizza no beans food is shocking. When told the waiter that it was the wrong pizza I was given attitude back .0

I came in for a pint after work like I do most days went to the bar an the barmaid Olivia just turned round an started moving stock around instead of serving me so had to wait for the other barmaid to come back to serve me then when she seen her serving me she started serving the other people at the bar She picks an chooses who she wants to serve an is very rude she is paid to work behind the bar an serve paying customers If this carry’s on I will take my custom elsewhere like most of my friends, I’ve already done

Went today for food me my mate & her Bf they ordered the mix Grill I ordered Fish chips with mushy peas we waited an hour for our food to have the Mix Grill turn up Burnt we sent both meals back for full refund the Fish was OK the tables & all windows & seats need a good clean as Dirty & Sticky we ordered pints of larger But to me seemed very watery & tasteless drank better the clog wasn't even busy so very disappointed with everything if we waited an hour for food to be burnt what is going in in kitchen is it can't cook or is it not keeping an eye on it ???? 🙃

Service and food was excellent the chef Alex cooked our steak to our specifications and Emma on the bar was lovely and polite and she asked us several times if everything was okay to which we answer that everything was good
