Staff are pleasant and happy to help, jodie, angel and Hannah, the garlic bread are addictive

It was very busy for a Monday lunch time and the staff handled this really well. The food was lovely, we had surf and Turf, Gammon and cowboy burger. Service was really prompt and the drinks were excellent too. We would highly recommend a visit. Nice quiet atmosphere for our daughter with additional needs also. We will be back again soon.

A disappointment after the pubs refurbishment, poor food at an increased cost, even managed to ruin a very basic meal of steak and ale pie. Hope this was a one off.

We had not been for 2 years, we came ro see the new renovations. We were greeted by friendly bar staff , the food was timely and very nice

We visited on a Thursday lunch time. The staff, Angel and Jay were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our lunch.

Our starters and mains were delicious and the presentation of each meal was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming as you want it to be . Thank you to the chefs Alex and Hannah from our well prepared meals (yummy☺️) and the waitress Emma and angel for their amazing service during our time at the restaurant and checking up on us from time to time. 10 out of 10🙌🏾🙌🏾

All staff were friendly and very pleasant. The pub was clean and tidy, and our reserved table was waiting for us. The pub, both inside and outside were by no means busy The waiting staff were pushed to their limit. The bar staff didn't seem as busy as the waiting staff. We waited an hour from ordering our food to it being served to us. We did have to ask the whereabouts of our food after waiting for 45 mins. The food was average to good. My wife's steak was tough We didn't complain about the food because we were very hungry by the time it arrived. I have no idea how this pub and the staff would cope on a busy day

Good food & service. Kids particularly enjoyed the Sunday quiz, the manager went out of his way to make it fun . Lovely bar staff & food runners

Decided to give it a try with 30% off main meals. Food was okay at best, nothing to shout about, similar to Weatherspoons, but a bit pricey. Nice pub though.

The atmosphere has been brilliant. The staff were second to non, Emma, Liv and Sophie were very attentive and we had polite conversations. Hats off to the chefs Alex and Hannah. The food was delicious. Definitely will be returning xx

Went to the clog for the first time post referb and it’s absolutely brilliant I was greeted and served by Dade and Lewis and the food cooked by Ryan and Hannah was delicious

From the start, he was friendly, welcoming, and super attentive—always checking in with a smile and making sure our drinks stayed topped up and the food was spot on. You can tell he really cares about the customers and keeps the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. Cheers to Dade for the top-notch service—we’ll definitely be back for another round!

Certainly a 100% better after the refurbishment. Although the number of staff on duty could be looked at, even though they were efficient and attentive. We were pleasantly served by Jodie, Grace and Dade. Well done.

Lovely family pub always something going on cater for the whole family not just for the adults sometimes have inflatables for the kids in the car park the food is great especially the steaks and Sunday dinner would highly recommend

Absolutely superb service. The person who showed us to our table was very welcoming and polite. Everything we needed was ready on the table for us. The ordering was really quick and easy to do and our drinks came straight away. Food cane very quickly too and the server was excellent. She was very helpful and polite and made sure my daughter was covered with her pea allergy. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Would definitely come again

The decor of the new clog is lovely. The staff really friendly and the food good. The only downside of the new layout is that the tables are really close together so it felt like we were sitting and having our meal with complete strangers. Conversation was hard as it was busy and lots of other loud chatter so maybe next time we would go earlier.

Food was very nice had a main and dessert and staff were friendly. Thought prices are reasonable too and easy to order from your table.

Amazing, there for a memorial to our mum. Seats were reserved for 15 of us, ordered loads of pizzas and sides and the food was lovely. Staff were lovely

Great service and was warmly greeted by the barman. Loved the new interior look and appreciated the newly painted lines in the car park! Enjoyed our food. Waitress and waiter who served us and the pot collector were friendly too.

Went with My Daughter Son in Law & Partner & 1year old Grandson to celebrate his birthday @ 6pm The Pub looks a lot better with some nice seating and decor, we had pre booked and was shown to our table immediately, a high chair was put into place and drinks were served, I am afraid that was as good as it got, We ordered 3 roast beef dinners 1 mixed grill 1 small plate beans mash sausage .,order to be placed over the phone stating preferences of steak etc after selecting all of this to be told Sunday roast was no longer available, we then selected Roast turkey dinner with trimmings having to put into the phone type of potatoes incl. roast select if you want extra or not , And you guessed it not only was there a lack of certain trimmings there was NO TURKEY . BACK to the phone ordered 3 portions of half chicken which in fairness was very nice and a burger , Bit of a let down if you are expecting to tuck into a mixed grill. From 1st entering ordering and eventually getting food on the table took 1 hour 35 minutes I thought that was a little excessive, Perhaps it was the time of day that was a problem . We will pay a return visit perhaps on a weekday , I must say that I was not impressed with ordering meal by phone then having to keep reordering because of lack of produce bring back the table service .I thought that I was in a PETER KAY SKETCH ( has thee got owt moist ) . Still prepared to support Local pub if they Buck their Ideas up.

Food was ok...the desert confused me as to why a fair sized chocolate fudge cake and ice cream was the same price as what they call an ice cream sundae which was really 2x scoops of ice cream in a bowl no topping no sauce! Quite disappointed even sent it back to get some flavour on it.

Came down Friday afternoon to try the food and see some old friends. Absolutely booming with people when we arrived around 1pm. Great atmosphere in both sides of the pub. We had our French bulldog with us, and we're informed where he was permitted to go, which tbh, I thought was great, as I know some people don't like eating around them. - it's good they have these limits in place, to keep all customers happy! Anyway, got to our table and ordered via the QR code on the table. Very simple and easy to use, it informed us of a 40min wait. However, the starters were out in 20min and main 20min later, considering how busy it was, you can tell the kitchen is organised. Quality food, which you could tell was fresh hot, not just sat under a lamp for a while keeping warm. Quality experience to be perfectly honest, we're coming back for Pizza Mondays soon! 🤣 Thank you to Sophie, Ryan and the team working on Friday who gave us a great first experience of the place. Congratulations to Gary & Charlotte, it's probably the hardest time there has ever been to get things right in this industry, and you definitely have it right! Hopefully we get to see you next time. 😊

Just popped in The Sparkling Clog for a quick dinner. Was great to see a light lunch on offer. The service was great, Angel was friendly and on the ball. The food served was all really nice. The refurb all looks great as well!

Myself and my Granddaughter had a lovely welcome from SG Staff members Ryan and Keely. They served us Drinks and a hot meal each at Table 26. Ryan and Keely demonstrated excellent customer care qualities and made our whole experience at the Sparking Clog an extremely pleasant one. We will be visiting the SG again, this coming Wednesday to make the final payment for our Christmas Day Lunch for our Family of 9 persons. The SG Is now our local Pub So we will be making visits for food and drinks and other entertainment on a regular basis.

Been in twice since refurbishment. Much nicer inside but unfortunately food service is painfully slow even with just a few people eating. Hopefully it will be addressed in future 👍

Food like warm expensive hard lump in pizza thought I'd broke my tooth to be told it was semolina so left it no offer of a coffee spent 45 pounds garden centre next time home cooked food and half the price and a proper pot of hot tea very disappointing. The new decor was nice pity about the food.

Came for a meal with friends and it was a lovely meal. The kitchen team alex and Hannah cooked a perfect pizza. Gary was welcoming and jodie and dade dealt with all our needs defo be coming back again

We went for our tea after the new refurb. It's looking amazing and was really busy. Food came quickly and was really nice. Staff were super friendly and checked if we wanted desserts or more drinks. My only negatives would be our booking wasn't confirmed but we had a table reserved so they just need to make sure they confirm too. Also no check back on food till the plates were cleared but we didn't have a problem with our food luckily. Staff were super busy though but just those couple of bits could of improved our experience :)

Our first family visit after the Clog’s refurbishment. I have to say the place looks amazing inside and out and the staff are extremely friendly. Great service both on the app for food and at the bar for drinks. The food came quickly was hot and well presented & tasted fantastic. I can’t fault the pub at all long may it continue & such a vast improvement.

The Sparking Clog has just reopened following a month-long refurbishment and what a difference! Superb layout and decor; fabulous food and wonderful staff. Front of house team Emma and Sophie did a superb job in looking after us and chefs Tom, Alex and Hannah did a fabulous job in the kitchen. Most definitely worth a visit and we will be returning. Well done to the team and best wishes for the relaunch.

Visit on a regular basis and the change in the pub is just huge. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and they have a buzz about them. The food as usual was delicious. I am sure they will attract more customers as word spreads.

Fantastic visit today for its soft opening. The refurbishment is fantastic and the two rooms separating drinking to eating is a great idea! It's now cozy and inviting, and the staff are super friendly. The food and drink menu has plenty of great options and everything we was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Jodie was brilliant in the floor and Gary & Charlotte offered a warm welcome as usual.

Sparking clog soft opening this afternoon after their refurb and I have to say it’s impressive! Made to feel so welcome from the start and what they’ve done to the place is impressive. Food was lovely and caters for everyone. Staff are great and so helpful. Won’t be long until we’re back in again. Well done Sparking Clog! 👍🏻

Absolutely brilliant, never put reviews but genuinely amazing and gonna well worth it. Chicken and ribs were cooked perfectly and at an amazing price and dessert was stunning. Perfect for family too and affordable. Couldn’t ask for more.

Went to celebrate my daughter's 18 birthday. Unfortunately the timing was bad as they were shutting down for refurbishment in less than a week so they were out of a few drinks but we enjoyed ourselves

Went in last week for a loverly meal. Everything was cooked to perfection all the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Can't wait to go back in after the refurbishment.

Wasn't too busy when we arrived and staff showed us to our reserved tables, which were all together. Ordering was easy at the bar and was served quickly. Didn't have to wait too long for our orders, and food was served hot and good-sized servings. Food was delicious and kids loved their desserts. The park outside was great for the kids but could have had a few more things on it. A good family atmosphere.

Very slow food service. We waited 50 minutes for 4 pizzas but after 40 minutes were told that they had a pizza party which was why there was a wait. If only the kitchen staff had communicated this to the waiting staff we would have ordered something different. When the pizzas arrived they were very good, but a shame about the service.

Brilliant service celebrating Dad’s 70th. Alex, Olivia, Dade, and Lewis were brilliant and made it really special for us.

We came in tonight for a meal. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our party. We hadn't been in recently and we were really pleased to see how lovely it all looked. Fresh, clean, bright. Emma and Ryan were great. They really looked after us. The food was delicious. Plenty of it. The pizzas were so thin and crispy and everything was fresh. Thanks to Alex for that. And we took advantage of the 30% off main meals so it was really good value for money.

Brilliant food as always from Tom, we had the cauliflower kebab and cowboy burger and they did not disappoint. Service from Lewis and Angel was friendly and with a smile. We look forward to coming back!
