I have been looking forward to revisiting this restaurant for a few years. It did not let me down, the service and food was as amazing as I remembered. Please if you are in Gloucester near the Quays go for a visit. The food is amazing, so tasty and obviously fresh and homemade such a refreshing experience.

Amazing place, loved the gluten free crepes and my friend enjoyed her meal too. Great service, lovely atmosphere.

Had a lovely Latte at Spago with added bonus of homemade shortbread (my favourite). Quite tucked out of the way near Costa. Nice decor and a view of the river from the outside tables. Will go back for food next time as that looked delicious as well.

This is my 2nd visit and I brought my friends with me who had never heard of Spago's. And they were so pleased I did! This is a little gem of a place, but sadly hidden in an area with low footfall. It deserves so much more! The owners and staff are so passionate about this place - and rightly so! Michaela was our host and she was very friendly, informative and attentive. The food was a delight, and we shared 6 of the tapas between us, and a couple of sides, which was plenty! We finished off with a big fat chocolate crepe with bananas and strawberries! Great little place, lovely design, great staff, great atmosohere...and even better food!!! They can cater for parties too and sometimes have live music.

This was the last time I stepped in to this place, would definitely not recommend, the service was horrible. Sooooo rude, they sat us down and basically told us we have to leave before 5 o'clock, as they need the table. It was 16:15 and we was waiting 15min for someone to come and ask what we want to order. Nobody came, no one was asking anyone if they need something or if everything is okay. There were 3 girls behind the bar cleaning glass, that as all they been doing. We just left! Soooo rude, never coming back to this place. That was the worst waitressing I've seen in a long time. Disgusting!!

Impeccable service with amazing coffee.

I think it's the only place in town that serves Estrella Galicia, and it's superb! Wraps, and coffee, excellent not tried much on the menu, but good choice of beers and wines. Nice friendly attentive staff that got the balance just right!

The team at Spago are incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was excellent throughout. I had the Spago Classic Crepe and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice; both were absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. A lovely spot with great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Spago Tapas is a stylish, modern spot tucked away in a quiet area near Gloucester Quays, with free parking and a relaxed atmosphere. Inside is spotless and beautifully designed, with outdoor seating available too. The tapas menu is fantastic, and there’s also a great range of breakfast options, plus sweet and savoury crepes. Cocktails and hot drinks round out the menu perfectly. Run by kind and professional Slovakian owners, the quality of both the food and service really stands out. A hidden gem worth visiting!

Food was 10/10 and service was great also. Food came within minutes and everything was bang on!

We booked the crepes and coffee van to provide breakfast to our guests the morning after our wedding. They supplied sweet & savoury crepes and piadinas, as well as coffee and hot chocolate. I had their nutella addict crepe which was absolutely delicious. Pavol was our point of contact, who was also there on the day. He was warm and lovely, he responded promptly to all our emails and gave us a very reasonable quote and arrangement. We cannot wait to try their main place in Gloucester. You should definitely consider these guys for your wedding or other events.

Beautiful, modern restaurant with a lovely European vibe 🇪🇺✨. The staff was super nice and welcoming 😊. I really enjoyed the tea 🍵—beautifully served with honey, lemon, and even an extra cookie 🍪! The pancake wrap was delicious, with high-quality chorizo and cheese 🧀🌯. The pancake itself could be slightly improved, but overall, a fantastic experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Come here all the time. Vibe is amazing, staff are excellent, quality of food is 10/10. Would recommend to friends and family for sure. Best iced coffees in Gloucester.

Pancake Day 🥞 done ✔️ I would like to thank the Chef and the lovely lady who welcomed on this special Pancake day. I didn't check the closing times and I walked in. Despite they were about to close, the Chef was happy to take my orders. Had a good chat while waiting. Good hospitality and I felt really at ease. Definitely going to come back to eat in. We enjoyed the crepes at home Delicious 😋

My first visit to Spago in Gloucester and what a delicious treat. This place was recommended to me and I’m so glad I decided to try it. I had breakfast here with friends and will go back to try lunch & evening meal options. Good choice of quality food and good range of drink options. Food portion sizes and cost were good. Atmosphere was friendly. Restaurant is bright, welcoming and clean. All staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking spaces it’s 1hr free parking opposite the restaurant entrance and if you enter your car reg on the screen just inside the restaurant you have 2hrs free parking.

Well what can I say. This is the second time we’ve been here. Would be more often but we live in the Welsh valleys so a bit far. The service was excellent. The food, well I don’t know how to describe it. The belly pork was so tender, the gambas well. All I say is it was fantastic. We’ve just left there and got back to our room and I knew I had to write the review straight away. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Date of visit was 15/02/25

Visited as a group of 3, got sat quickly and friendly service. Great menu selection. I had both a sweet and savoury crepe and they were both delicious, accompanied by a lovely mocha. Would definitely come again, really enjoyed our lunch !

Stayed at the premier inn and just happened to pop in glad we did brilliant food and good service glad we stopped in next time I'm this way will definitely stop in

A great cafe by the Quays in Gloucester

Absolutely amazing experience. Took a chance on reviews read. The atmosphere is like being in Spain with background music. The service was pleasant and efficient. Charlotte was ever so happy to serve. Miska the owner came over and had time chat to us.Made us feel so welcomed. The tapas and other dishes just perfect. The bill reasonable. Will go again.

We always enjoy a visit to Spago, we have a tradition of visiting around Christmas time with our granddaughters. The service is always excellent and the food is always delicious. I would have given it 5 stars for food if they served the food on hot plates as it means the food would stay warmer longer.

My partner and I used to live in the building and would always go there for coffee and their amazing crepes! We loved the Jamon Serrano crepe and the Spago classic! We have since moved from Gloucester and miss it a lot! The owner and all the staff are great, always friendly, welcoming and very attentive! Great place! Really recommend it! Thank you!!! I recently dined at "Spago ," and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, featuring rustic decor that perfectly complemented the farm-to-table concept. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, which boasted creative twists on classic dishes. I enjoyed the Salomon Crepe and Gambas , both bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. Prices were reasonable for the quality, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a delightful dining experience. I can't wait to return!

This place is about as Spanish as a budget caravan park in Bognor Regis, and somehow manages to be even less exciting. The food is staggeringly uninspired, hovering between bland and outright regrettable. Take the so-called “Spanish” sardines: proudly touted as authentic, they were revealed to have traveled from Spain in the least culinary way possible—a tin can—only to meet their tragic end dumped lukewarm onto a sad puddle of balsamic vinegar. If there’s any claim to Italian authenticity in that ingredient, I’d wager it’s as dubious as this restaurant’s supposed Spanish roots. An insult to cuisine on both sides of the Mediterranean. Save your money and try somewhere else.

Just had an early small tapas meal, it was excellent 👌. Not too many people in early, so the atmosphere wasn't as good as I'm sure it will get later.

Lovely place to be for dinner! Tapas dishes were all very rich in flavour. The side bread goes well with all the tapas sauces :)

What a lovely find. We came to celebrate a birthday as a group of 4 friends. We got the last table (recommend to book!) We took up the offer of £20 for 2 tapas & 1 side. Everything was delicious, but what stood out was the Chorizo in red wine, the squid and the belly pork. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The place has been thoughtfully decorated and is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend a visit, and don’t be put off thinking it’s “too far out” we wandered over to portivo afterwards and it’s not far.

Food was fine but got there for 7pm, didnt get our food until gone 8pm after an apparent mix up with our orders. Our waitress did apologise though so they get 2 stars on service. There were dead flies and rubbish on a shelf by our seats so not sure when that was last cleaned either.

Very tasty 🤤 I recommend the pancake with ham and mozzarella, as well as the caramel pancake with apples. The smoothie is amazing, not cloyingly sweet, with natural berries and yogurt. The atmosphere is pleasant, very friendly staff, we will definitely return 🫶

Very disappointing all round. (Table of 6) We arrived at 6pm and had placed our food order at 7:15, service was very slow. We all ordered savoury crepes, 5 came out and then we waited 30 minutes for the 6th crepe to come out. By then everyone else was finished eating. One of the crepes came out cold, i tried informing a member of staff but was fed up of waiting and trying to get acknowledged - so I put the plate on the bar and sat back down at my seat. A member of staff came over and asked what the issue was to which I explained. They offered to re make to which I accepted, however the second time was no better. We were out for a family occasion, and on receiving the bill there was no discount for any of the problems we had, even though one member of the party had not eaten due to the issues and we were still made to pay full price. Absolutely awful and would not recommend .

This was a new experience for my cousin plus the beginning of the weekend after 5 drinks I had already procented the cocktail menu from the website via photo to my cousin, who straight away stated he was having an Aperol spritz On entering Spago, he was completely surprised by the deco and the ambience of the Spanish, Cuba vib We placed our order of drinks, the other being a cuba libre, which quenched our appetite, asking for two more. Spago remains the best restaurant in Gloucester. From the freshest of ingredients, Spago produce superb tapas dishes served by talented and knowledgeable staff. Whether it's breakfast, an amazing afternoon lunch or a quality, romantic evening meal this place never fails to impress. Only 250m from the bars and restaurants at Orchard Square and all the shops at Gloucester Quays, this is a secret gem with the added bonus of easy parking in Bakers Quay. Fantastic.

We went because of the good reviews and were very disappointed. The food is OK, but extremely overpriced. The portions are very small and aren't worth the price. The patatas 'bravas' aren't bravas, and the meatballs were pretty average. There are many restaurants that serve better food at a much better price.

Delicious breakfast with very friendly service.

Been looking to eat here for a while. The Google reviews had our expectations high for a night of good food. Sadly it didn't live up to this. We found the food to be very average and nothing to write home about. Nothing stood out to us as anything special that couldn't be found in a supermarket shelf.

A somewhat hidden gem. My favourite place in Goucester. The best Flat White in town (with homemade shortbread cinnamon biscuit!) fabulous sweet and savory pancakes, excellent tapas (I love their sardines!) and excellent wine/beer selection. And FREE PARKING for 2 hours if you dine in. Worth the tiny bit of extra effort to find.

Called in originally for coffee but ended up late lunching on a delicious selection of tapas. Stuffed peppers recommended by serve, weren't wrong, they were lovely. Only on a quick stopover but will come back for a meal next time we're in the area

Food in Spago was amazing! BOH staff really rocked, food was on time, nicely presented I couldn't fault it. On the other hand FOH staff and saddly I'm talking about the floor manager or supervisor did not do his part properly. He took our order so he was responsible for letting us know about menu, he forgot to mention that the Spanish cider they have is advertised 0.5l for £6 but you will get 0.33l instead for the same price. If he did that I would not have a problem with it. Restaurant wasn't that busy, combine outside tables they had between 8-9 tables. My partner mentioned it when we got the bill, he rolled his eyes and wagely explained that the price is right but he will make it right. So I thought he will charge as advertised on menu but no he charged us £5 for that cider instead of £4.5 as advertised on menu. I've been working in restaurants for past 23years, last 12years as GM&OPS manager. If menu is wrong don't wait if somebody will pick up on it let your customer know. But instead you knowing about it and waiting what is going to happen. Not cool.

Spago never disapoints. Everything was excellent as one expects from them. The staff never seem to be off their game, always smiling, always helpful, especially to my parents who are older and go regularly.

I frequently visit Spago, and even if it's just for a coffee, the service is always friendly and prompt. I often order a crepe to which they have various choices, all of which are delicious and filling enough.

Enjoyed it too much to take any photos 🤤 We had true Spanish cider, Estrella Galicia for beer, tapas and a salad, and left room for a sweet crepe as dessert. Everything was delicious. The decor, the music and the service were all on point. Can't wait to go back!

First time here. Booked for my daughter’s baby shower. Good service, lovely atmosphere. Small menu but everything was well presented.

Visited this evening for a quick meal. The food is delicious and the portions are adequate! The lady who served us was pleasant, the food came out quickly and was hot.
