My first time here & definitely not my last- very friendly attentive staff & fabulous Tapas

We ate here recently while stopping in one of the apartments above. We had a fantastic meal and the crepe I had to finish was fantastic!!

A lovely sunny morning and brunch with my wife. I have never been here before but my wife has, and I can see why. Lovely tasting food (Avocado breakfast and veggie baguette) and absolutely fantastic friendly service.

This place is one of my all time favourites. The staff are lovely and attentive, the coffee is always beautifully made and the crepes are just delicious. Cannot recommend enough!

Very disappointing all round. (Table of 6) We arrived at 6pm and had placed our food order at 7:15, service was very slow. We all ordered savoury crepes, 5 came out and then we waited 30 minutes for the 6th crepe to come out. By then everyone else was finished eating. One of the crepes came out cold, i tried informing a member of staff but was fed up of waiting and trying to get acknowledged - so I put the plate on the bar and sat back down at my seat. A member of staff came over and asked what the issue was to which I explained. They offered to re make to which I accepted, however the second time was no better. We were out for a family occasion, and on receiving the bill there was no discount for any of the problems we had, even though one member of the party had not eaten due to the issues and we were still made to pay full price. Absolutely awful and would not recommend .

This was a new experience for my cousin plus the beginning of the weekend after 5 drinks I had already procented the cocktail menu from the website via photo to my cousin, who straight away stated he was having an Aperol spritz On entering Spago, he was completely surprised by the deco and the ambience of the Spanish, Cuba vib We placed our order of drinks, the other being a cuba libre, which quenched our appetite, asking for two more. The service was excellent This is not being the first time for me, never a disappointment🍸🥃🍹 👌🏾👍🏾🙌🏾

Spago remains the best restaurant in Gloucester. From the freshest of ingredients, Spago produce superb tapas dishes served by talented and knowledgeable staff. Whether it's breakfast, an amazing afternoon lunch or a quality, romantic evening meal this place never fails to impress. Only 250m from the bars and restaurants at Orchard Square and all the shops at Gloucester Quays, this is a secret gem with the added bonus of easy parking in Bakers Quay. Fantastic.

Called in for dinner during the bank holiday weekend, good selection of tapas and drinks made for a relaxed evening.

All the food is freshly made and carefully sourced with love. Service attentive without being overbearing, especially Mimi (the cheeky monkey)! It’s like being on holiday whenever we go…

We went because of the good reviews and were very disappointed. The food is OK, but extremely overpriced. The portions are very small and aren't worth the price. The patatas 'bravas' aren't bravas, and the meatballs were pretty average. There are many restaurants that serve better food at a much better price.

Been looking to eat here for a while. The Google reviews had our expectations high for a night of good food. Sadly it didn't live up to this. We found the food to be very average and nothing to write home about. Nothing stood out to us as anything special that couldn't be found in a supermarket shelf.

Another independent gem in Gloucester. Less than 1 minute walk from Premier Inn on the Quay. Great tasting Tapas, freshly prepared and great for sharing. Highly recommend for couples and larger groups.

A somewhat hidden gem. My favourite place in Goucester. The best Flat White in town (with homemade shortbread cinnamon biscuit!) fabulous sweet and savory pancakes, excellent tapas (I love their sardines!) and excellent wine/beer selection. And FREE PARKING for 2 hours if you dine in. Worth the tiny bit of extra effort to find.

Called in originally for coffee but ended up late lunching on a delicious selection of tapas. Stuffed peppers recommended by serve, weren't wrong, they were lovely. Only on a quick stopover but will come back for a meal next time we're in the area

Food in Spago was amazing! BOH staff really rocked, food was on time, nicely presented I couldn't fault it. On the other hand FOH staff and saddly I'm talking about the floor manager or supervisor did not do his part properly. He took our order so he was responsible for letting us know about menu, he forgot to mention that the Spanish cider they have is advertised 0.5l for £6 but you will get 0.33l instead for the same price. If he did that I would not have a problem with it. Restaurant wasn't that busy, combine outside tables they had between 8-9 tables. My partner mentioned it when we got the bill, he rolled his eyes and wagely explained that the price is right but he will make it right. So I thought he will charge as advertised on menu but no he charged us £5 for that cider instead of £4.5 as advertised on menu. I've been working in restaurants for past 23years, last 12years as GM&OPS manager. If menu is wrong don't wait if somebody will pick up on it let your customer know. But instead you knowing about it and waiting what is going to happen. Not cool.

Spago never disapoints. Everything was excellent as one expects from them. The staff never seem to be off their game, always smiling, always helpful, especially to my parents who are older and go regularly.

I frequently visit Spago, and even if it's just for a coffee, the service is always friendly and prompt. I often order a crepe to which they have various choices, all of which are delicious and filling enough.

Enjoyed it too much to take any photos 🤤 We had true Spanish cider, Estrella Galicia for beer, tapas and a salad, and left room for a sweet crepe as dessert. Everything was delicious. The decor, the music and the service were all on point. Can't wait to go back!

First time here. Booked for my daughter’s baby shower. Good service, lovely atmosphere. Small menu but everything was well presented.

Visited this evening for a quick meal. The food is delicious and the portions are adequate! The lady who served us was pleasant, the food came out quickly and was hot.

Great bar. Busy, given the Easter holidays so if you want for it might be worth booking in advance. Nice Westside location, though you might need to sit outside to appreciate it fully

We went on the weekend as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday, the waiter was rude when we asked if we could have another chair for someone else to join us so wasn’t very welcoming. Food was nice but expensive and small portions.

One of the best restaurants in the world. It’s so good we sometimes visit twice a week. The coffee beats Starbucks and Costa and if Spago had a drive through I’d visit every day for my caffeine fix. The staff are always friendly. The restaurant is always spotlessly clean. The prices are reasonable. And the food is delicious.

A gem in Gloucester. Just step out of the quays a little and you will find great coffee and service to match.

Had dinner for the first time after a recommendation, and wasn’t disappointed the tapas was the best we’ve had , the sangria was brilliant to as well as the service . Please go and try this place out .

A hidden gem, in a fantastic location. Serving outstanding Tapas, indulgent hot chocolate, divine coffee, and a brilliant choice of cocktails. The atmosphere is always super chilled, and the attentive staff are exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended.

I would say that this is now my favourite place to eat in Gloucester The tapas was fantastic, we actually bought some of the spicy Olives to take home. The Crepes were beautifully presented & tasted gorgeous. Will definitely be recommending Spago's to my friends

Small birthday gathering of 6, Saturday night, quite busy. Atmosphere good, service very friendly. The interior decor has some odd choices (very IKEA vibes) but all seemed very clean modern and bright. Plenty of space on the tables. Suitable for families, kids or couples so wide appeal. Food disappointing on this occasion for 4 out of the 6 though. Pan Con Tomate was soggy and absolutely showered in salt (see photo). Halloumi Salad, the same story, far too much salt and salad leaves covered in so much dressing practically mush. Reviews generally seem good though, so perhaps it was an off night. Won't be back for Tapas, but perhaps the Crepes are better so may try those in the future.

Amazing crepes! Kids loved it. We ordered a hummus and garlic/tomato bread which was absolutely devine! Espresso martini was also top notch.

Dropped in for a coffee when I was walking along the waterways here with my DSLR. Fantastically friendly service, the Costa along the way could learn a lot from the staff here. Dropping here again next week when I come to visit my friend’s new office in the Quays ✌️

Really good food, atmosphere and staff. Definitely going back. Took one star off because of inadequate info about parking on website. We parked in quays multi storey only to find we could have parked right outside ! There's a 1 hour limit unless you register your car inside.

I've lived in Spain for over 40yrs and I can say the food and tapas are not authentic in this restaurant, absolutely horrible .

Visited for the first time last week. Tried a variety of tapas and the homemade bread. All were excellent and the service was very good too. The music felt as if you were on holiday! Looking forward to a return visit!
