Spaghettihouse in City of London, Westminster

Reservamos una mesa en línea antes de llegar a Londres, llegamos al restaurante unos 40 minutos antes, pero dijeron que no era un problema. Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa por un miembro del personal muy acogedor y amable que poco después tomó nuestras bebidas y comida. Poco después de que nuestras comidas aparecieron y eran geniales los niños pizza era masiva si hubiéramos sabido que eran tan grandes que solo habríamos pedido 1 para compartir. Nuestras comidas también vale la pena una visita

Mi comida estaba bien mejor que una visita anterior! Mi marido estaba muy decepcionado en el precio de la cerveza que no podía entender y estaba extremadamente poco impresionado por el hecho de que no se podía comprar 2 cervezas pequeñas por el precio de la más grande cuando era exactamente la misma medida! (pequeña 33 cl grande 66 cl) La grande no estaba disponible! ¡Esto es una estafa completa y completamente no muy impresionante! La comida era mediocre y mi pollo estaba muy seco y quemado alrededor de los bordes. Ciertamente no voy a recomendar Spaghetti House a ninguno de mis amigos o familiares.

Vine aquí un domingo por la tarde. Sorprendentemente, no estaba ocupado en absoluto - solo había unos pocos comensales. Sé que el restaurante está en Londres, pero siento que algunos artículos en su menú son caros. Es decir, más de £ 9 por un vaso de prosecco y más de £ 5 por un lado de patatas fritas gruesas. El restaurante estaba limpio y bien decorado. Las mesas están separadas, y la mayoría tienen cómodas sillas acolchadas. El servicio fue rápido, y la comida se sirvió caliente. El tamaño de las porciones era bueno. Sin embargo, la comida carecía de sabor. Nuestros dos platos de pasta sabían soso y carecían de sabor. Nuestros postres estaban bien, pero también les faltaba sabor. No había mucho servicio. Tuvimos que llamar al camarero cuando lo necesitábamos para bebidas, cubiertos, etc. Cuando llegó la factura, se agregó un cargo por servicio al precio. Nos negamos a pagar a la SC y pedimos que esto se eliminara de la factura ya que sentimos que el servicio no estaba a la altura. Después de preguntar esto, dos miembros del personal se molestaron y nos interrogaron de una manera grosera y poco profesional. Me hizo sentir incómodo y quería irme lo más rápido posible. Fue una comida decepcionante y no volvería aquí de nuevo.

Overcooked meals to the point of being dry. Only finished the meal as we hadn’t eaten all day. Ordered Chicken dish and Veal Scallopini. Both were dry, the veal had no sauce whatsoever. The chicken was served with some sort of liquid, but not what I would call a sauce. Both served with what seemed to be boiled, smothered in herbs and tossed in a frypan potatoes. Worst meal I have had in the 28 days of being in the UK, and that is saying something. Was not offered a wine menu and assumed it was BYO. Apparently not!

We went here while we were holidaying in London. We usually go to this particular Spaghetti House as we find it more relaxed and quieter than some of the other ones. I got garlic bread for an appetiser (which tastes absolutely divine and has plenty of garlic). We got spaghetti with meatballs for our main and it was absolutely delicious. Generous amounts of spaghetti and meatballs and the tomato sauce on the spaghetti and the richer more herby tomato sauce that came with the meatballs was delicious. The meatballs were rather large and were the best I've tasted. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and we could easily hold a conversation (which is what we prefer). We were served promptly and we did not wait long for our food to arrive and the food was piping hot. The staff were very polite and friendly. This is our go to place for a lovely, relaxing meal when we first arrive down in London and needless to say we will be coming back here when we are next down in London.
