Spaghetti Tree in Reigate and Banstead

Not sure why the restaurant was so quiet on a Sunday lunchtime as the food and service were great and the atmosphere is good. Special mention for those with hearing issues there's acoustic deadening in the ceiling which really helped me to keep up with conversation.

The staff were very attentive and friendly especially Jess who explained some of the dishes to us and was extremely professional at all times. The food was wonderfully presented as were our drinks. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon indeed x

My partner and I visited a while back and the food and service were both amazing. As were the cocktails. Since then we’ve had a couple of takeaways and the pizza’s are by far the best in the area!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, great food choices & food quality and the service was excellent. We are never disappointed with this restaurant.

My second time here and everything was excellent. The first time I wasn’t overly impressed but the food was still good. This time the staff were amazing and checked on us constantly. The food was glorious and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first visit at the Spaghetti Tree. The food was delicious, and the service was very good indeed. There was salmon on the special menu, and so I ordered it. My colleague ordered a chicken breast in bedcrumbs with potatoes & vegetables. The decor was fabulous with different actors & celebrities on the walls.

Nice but overpriced. I ordered the Pollo Picante pizza which was nice but felt more 'poshed up pizza hut' than authentic Italian - and at £16.50 I thought it would be a bit bigger and with fresher ingredients on the top. The tiramisu was a generous sized portion but sadly lacked in quality (and it was a bit watery?!) The service was impeccable though and I can't rate the staff enough for how friendly and attentive they were.

Booked a table here for Mother’s Day,we were welcomed by members of staff at the door and shown to our table,had a fantastic meal service was perfect and so was the food,wonderful restaurant and will definitely return and absolutely recommend, thank you The Spaghetti Tree

Went for a late lunch on Saturday. Nice atmosphere & good staff, but the food really poor. I had the spaghetti vongole & the clams were clearly frozen. They were chewy & whole dish was tasteless - hardly a hint of chilli. I informed the waiter, who said he’d let the chef know & then that was the last I heard. If you want a proper Italian, Cuchina in Oxted is absolutely streets ahead.

Anti pasto platter was delicious and a great size for three of us roast beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Poussions were delicious. Great atmosphere. Would alway highly recommend

The food and service were second to none. I think this is my favourite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. Menu very varied and loads of mouthwatering dishes to choose from. I was extremely impressed by all the waiting staff, so polite, helpful and smiling, and I can't wait to go back there.I particularly recommend the lamb.

Have been coming here for years, always good service, good food and good atmosphere, they even delivered food to us during Covid plus a free bottle of wine with each order.

I booked for 14, when we all arrived I said the name and time, we were 5 mins early.we stood up by the bar area for 35 mins with my parents who are 78 and not at one point did ANYONE say sorry for the wait even after 10 mins not even speak to us.... nor even a drink on the house nothing we were going to walk out..then we were told the table was ready at 6.05 my mum had to go and sit in the car as she stood for so long... we was also offered a 5 o'clock slot as well so maybe being greedy they... squeezed 2 family's in, instead of us walking in and sitting down at the time booked. It was more upsetting that nobody was sorry not 1 member of staff!!! Please take note and acknowledge this apologies that's all it takes. And I read if we are late 10 mins they can charge us...really and to think I had to pay 140 deposit too.

Highly recommend for Sunday lunch, a choice of beef, chicken or pork or all 3 if you can't make up your mind. Load's of vegetables with tremendous roast potatoes. A very good singer giving it large with rat pack classics. What a great way to finish the weekend. By the way they also serve great Italian dishes.

The food was excellent, but our party thought that the portions were too large. Maybe offering a smaller portion size alongside the “normal” size would be more attractive to many guests and avoid unnecessary food wastage.

Went on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Food was good and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and polite but they forgot the side that we ordered and forgot the children's dessert which should have been offered as part of the children's set menu.

Experienced a fabulous afternoon at The Spaghetti Tree for our staff Christmas ‘do’ in mid-December...food was delicious, top rate & not your usual standard set menu fare for such group occasions. Great service too - nothing too much trouble. We will be back…!

In spite of the fact that husband told the waiter he was gluten free,he checked with the chef and was told the gravy on the liver was not gluten free but he could have it without the gravy but he was given it with gravy and had to send it back.When he did get it he had to wait again for his saute potatoes. My grandson sent his steak back twice as it was under done and when it was served up for the third time it looked like it had been cremated. The bill was incorrect and we were overcharged. My husband and myself left while my daughter was sorting everything. All in all a very disappointing visit.

What a great place. The atmosphere,staff, food to name a few, are all just fantastic. This is a must go. I went with a group of 21 and Maria and her team were exceptional and made sure we were all looked after. Not to forget the Singer…what a wow factor Honestly if you want the best of the best…..go to this place

We felt like we had outstayed our welcome. Especially by one waitress who was very rude. Didn't smile, literally ignored one of our party who asked her a question and provided appalling customer service

I dont usually write reviews but recently had an awful experience here. Our group of friends met here for our annual christmas get together on a tuesday night and had the most awful customer service. We were one of a few tables occupied that night and the young lady waitress was pleasant to start off with and then turned very sour as the evening progressed. We booked an 8pm table as the website said we would be told to leave after an hour and a half if we booker earlier. By 9.30 the waitress was huffing and puffing, giving us dirty looks and even ignoring some of my friends when we were asking for a drinks. She was obviously very put out that we were still there. We eneded up leaving at about 10.30 and i have never been so eager to leave a restaurant, as we were made to feel so uncomfortable. We spent approx £350 that night and we were made to feel very unwelcome. Sadly we will not be coming back and hopefully the young lady will not treat another customer the same way!

Visited this lovely restaurant Boxing day as their last sitting with family. The food was lovely and attention to detail wonderful to see especially as we were the only people in there. The service was very attentive so thank you to the front of house staff. Overall a lovely evening meal. Highly recommended.

Bar prices were extremely over priced! £9.50 for a glass of Prosecco and £14 for a G&T. They also had the cheek to add a service charge too! Never had that happen before!

The restaurants inaccurate argumentative response is indicative of their attitude in person, eating here will ruin your day. Had a phone call 24h before our booking demanding a deposit which was not stated at time of booking. Arrived for our booking at 4:30, where before entering the door my one year old baby was rudely told to take his hat off..in December.Party before us were physically being kicked out to make space for new guests, we weren’t seated until 30 minutes after our booking. Place clearly overbooked. It was over an hour after our booking time before we received our food. Roast was awful cheap fatty meat, we were also charged £20 for a child’s meal and the £50 deposit was not removed from the bill! When raised with management they were rude and uncooperative, don’t eat here if you want even a reasonable quality of food or a welcoming atmosphere. We could hear many other tables complaining however management didn’t seem to care. Can’t see this place having any return customers.

Booked a table for 5 guests for 4:30pm, had to wait for 30 mins before we were seated and over 60 mins for our food, including my 17 month old baby who was hungry. Long waits for food and service, mostly due to the restaurant being at full capacity for a 50th birthday celebration that took over most of the tables. I was surprised we weren’t pre warned about this when they called the night before to confirm the reservation. The food was mediocre, Beef roast was extremely fatty and chewy, I complained to the server who said they would feedback to the chef, and that was that. There’s no proper kids menu, so the server said they could do a kids chicken and fries as my baby has a tomato allergy. We were charged £18.50 for an adults chicken Milanese. Very shocked by this we complained to the manager and were told that’s what it cost and they refused to adjust the bill. Overall a really awful experience and we won’t be returning again or recommending to local friends and family. Restaurant seems arrogant as they refuse to listen to any feedback or complaints. Their reply to my review is argumentative and false, further proving my last point.

Really disappointing evening and feeling thoroughly ripped off! £39.50 for a bottle of 'standard' white wine which we went to the bar to get ourselves only to be charged 12.5% on top for the privilege. Rushed service, starters put down while we were at the bar getting drinks so were then cold. Absolutely rammed with tables so the 'dance floor' was the size of a postage stamp and then the singer went early as had a sore throat. Charged 2 x £5 for a soda water, which is usually free, and then when queried on the bill would not remove so we deducted from the service charge. Found the next day the restaurant had gone online and taken a further £10 from the card we made the original booking on - unbelieveable. Will not ever return, all they are interested in is making money, packing as many people in as possible and illegally taking money from people's bank accounts when optional service charge challenged - we had a table of 7 so hardly huge! 5 Dec - response to owner comment: I don't know anything about a bottle of wine being returned, I was merely pointing out £39.50 is a lot of money for a basic bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc - it was not returned though, we drank every drop of it at that price! Don't feel you've really taken on board the lack of service and value for money, and deceiptful further taking money from bank card left originally as a deposit the next day.

Awful customer service. Have been going to the Spaghetti Tree for years and always throughly enjoyed it. Was invited as part of a table of 18 and was told to pre-order the roast dinner and dessert. The morning of, my young baby was sick and I did a covid test and was positive, but was still made to pay the bill for the food. I explained that I wanted to be there and unfortunately these circumstances couldn’t allow me to but they were not interested and said the food still needed to be paid for because it was pre ordered and pre made (?). When I questioned that surely it could be sold to a walk in customer or whoever on the day they said it was their policy and were happy for me to come to the restaurant and collect it despite having a positive covid test. I wouldn’t have even minded paying a cancellation fee but to have pay for a full meal when there was a table of 18, this just seems exceptionally greedy and they clearly don’t care about their loyal customers. To find out later that evening, the table was chucked out on the two hour time limit even though this wasn’t mentioned on the booking. Also they said the service charge was non-negotiable! Never heard of this from any other restaurant. Shameful

Visited this gorgeous little restaurant for the first time tonight and it certainly won’t be the last time. The food was amazing, my pizza was great and the carbonara Calzone is very highly recommended, what a superb idea. The service from the whole team was excellent, being asked numerous times if all was well and if we needed anything else and the owner was so lovely and welcoming If you get the opportunity, don’t miss out

Came here for our anniversary and the food is stunning. The staff are so attentive and friendly and at the moment the space is decorated for Christmas and it looks so festive and cosy.

I just came home from an evening dinner with my partner and all I can say it wow, Me and my partner have been before for lunch/dinner during the day to spaghetti tree and it was lovely the food, drinks and the service! But tonight It was our first time having dinner in the evening on the weekend and it’s been such fun and great experience I loved it we both had an amazing time and the staff were amazing and the service was so quick, the gent that was hosting the entertainment and singing tonight was great too had a great voice and the atmosphere was lovely and fun. I hope to see the gent who was singing tonight again in there and the staff deserve to receive card tips as they do cash tips, I would of loved to leave a tip for the waiters / waitresses but I couldn’t as I didn’t have cash and I was told they don’t receive card tips. They deserve tip’s regardless of how it’s paid the staff did an amazing job. Will definitely be coming back soon again!

Great atmosphere, had a Frank Sinatra style singer. Massive portions well cooked food

The food was tasty, but the portions a bit small. The tiramisu was made with cream instead of mascarpone and fresh egg, which was disappointing. Overally a good experience as the service is excellent and the ambiente too.

If you want to find somewhere to send your missus to get smashed on bottomless prosecco this is the place!!!

Wow. Just wow. Having hoped to be able to speak to and listen to my husband tonight - we have had to leave early as the live music was too loud (my ears actually hurt!!). And the singer did nothing but criticise us all for being quiet (we couldn’t talk over her!). It’s not the cheapest of restaurants and I feel we have wasted a lot of money on a really bad experience tonight. Such a shame

Had a birthday celebration last night the noise level was ridiculous. Food was good service was too efficient as clearing tables while sone of the party were still eating. Zak so taken away wine glass away dreoutecthere bring wine in the cooler. Music good but the restaurant was so loud left early as couldn’t hear ourselves think which was a shame

Food was outstanding as always. Unfortunately the night was completely soured by the live entertainment they thought would be a great idea to put at clubbing level volume. Live music at a restaurant should be background noise, not piercing through our heads so we can't hear ourselves think. What a shame. This is a restaurant, not a club. Ironically, this was our first date since the birth of our son four months ago, and we were looking forward to actually having a conversation!

It's a lovely place, right by the pond. The service and the staff are phenomenal. They are genuinely involved and engaging with their customers. The two for one on cocktails is a good deal, and their long island ice teas are very tasty. It's just a shame about the food, I don't think any of our party were particularly taken by anything we had ordered. Particularly the pizza, it was just... eh... comparable to a supermarket 'special' pizza. Taste the difference, Extra special, Tesco finest, or whatever, would be just as good. Considering the price of the food, I'd have expected something more.

Ordered take out to sit by the pond opposite. Such an amazing meal, you can definitely tell the pasta sauces are made fresh. Would definitely go again. Customer service was absolutely brilliant and they were very quick even though there was a party going on at the same time.

We went for 2 4 1 cocktails on Thursday. The Espresso Martini and Mai Tai was amazing and the bar tender was just brilliant. The food was unreal and the service second to none. We had the Aracini and Scallops for starter and the Burrata Pasta for main. Incredible. I'll definitely be returning.

Will definitely never be going back! Worst dining experience I’ve ever had! Went on a Saturday night and tables were literally on top of each other, waiting staff could not get past and felt incredibly claustrophobic. I felt uncomfortable from start to finish. Food was atrocious. Waited over 2 hours and didn’t get our food until 10pm, by which point it was either overdone and rubbery or tasted awful. No better than micro food. My dad had the lamb shank and had severe food poisoning the day after, never seen him so poorly. Felt like the restaurant couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a bar or a restaurant, with customers up and dancing whilst others were still trying to eat. Not once did we get service for our drinks, had to keep going to the bar. Poor layout, poor planning and ultimately a terrible experience.

It was a shambles… over packed to the point staff didn’t know if they were coming or going!! The service was poor. The food took over two hours and by the time it was served, no one was hungry. Plus the quality of food was below average! Not one dish out of 10 of us was half decent. My uncle actually got food poisoning and has been laid up in bed for the past couple of days!! That was from the lamb shank for anyone who thinks about ordering that.. I wouldn’t! The tables were so cramped that the waiters/waitresses couldn’t past the tables. We had to pull our tables out ourselves to let people out because there was no room either side to allow access! We had to make our way over to the bar area to get drinks ourselves the whole night. The standard of the food and drinks were honestly awful.. never going back there again.. it’s disgusting that you can charge London prices for a below average, shocking restaurant 1 star is too generous if I’m honest

An Italian restaurant that that genuinely cannot cook carbonara… yet they expect people to £14.50 for it! I’d honestly rate this place below Zizzi, Pizza Express and every other awful Italian chain restaurant going. We waited for over 2 hours for substandard food, no apology or acknowledgement from staff that simply just stood and watched this circus of restaurant unfold. Made the mistake of celebrating a birthday meal at this restaurant based on reputation and quite honestly whoever has thought it’s a good restaurant on their “lively” Saturday nights has no concept of what the very basic and fundamental requirements of operating a restaurant, let alone operating a venue that offers, food, drink and entertainment. We waited 2 hours for our meals… our table was booked for 7:45 and nobody took our order order for over an hour… we arrived at 7:30 but didn’t receive our meals until 10pm. When it arrived… the calves liver could’ve been microwaved better and the bacon served with it was cheap back bacon that looked like it was cooked on a radiator. Lobster linguine could have been made better with canned/tinned crab meat, the putrid fishy taste of the seafood spoke volumes if their premium ingredients were that poor. But most embarrassingly the carbonara was genuinely inedible. A classic staple of Italian food made of 4 ingredients, it should be impossible to ruin that but it was truly woeful. It was a disgusting salty, sticky mess and even Stevie Wonder could see it was not made with guanciale… Dreadful food aside… The seating arrangement was horrific, the entire place was packed to the point that even the waiting staff physically couldn’t get past tables that were laid virtually back to back. It was literally impossible for anybody on one half of our table to get out of their seat without literally pushing each individual table out to allow those on the bench seat to get out... No assistance from staff, no apology, it was pathetic and despite clearly watching us struggling the issue was deliberately ignored. As a member of a birthday party you try to avoid ruining the day… however, in all honesty, it was uncomfortable, cramped and unpleasant for every single moment we were there and we were just relieved that the sorry excuse for food was done with so we no longer had to sit down. Not one single waiting staff bothered to take a drinks order throughout the entire evening we were seated - so we were pitted against every other unsatisfied, frustrated patron to queue at the bar in a table-served restaurant to get an overpriced, tasteless and weak drink. The entertainment was not what was advertised and whilst the DJ/club singer tried his best, there was no room to even move past tables - let alone actually enjoy the Magic Radio most overplayed hits ensemble he put on. If somebody refunded me the entire meal and offered me the same meals for free I’d still turn them down. On a table of 11 people, not one single person had one positive thing to say. What an overrated, over capacity dump this place is… both the men’s and women’s toilets stank, with urine all over the floor, no toilet paper and a stench that proliferated the whole toilet area so much it made me miss the portaloos from building sites and we laughed that it was like being in a cheap foreign nightclub, without the toilet attendees to actually keep things in order. The fact that this establishment would be nominated for an award in the minuscule pocket of Surrey it resides is laughable… To see there was a national award to Italian cuisine in 2017 on display by our table is an insult to the entire Roman Empire… I’d have been dissatisfied if the evening was free. But unfortunately even the overzealously priced drinks were not strong enough to drown my sorrows. What a waste of time, money and opportunity. An embarrassment to Italian food.
