Spaghetti House - Duke Street in City of London, Westminster

Food quality was really good and our order was processed quite quickly. Disappointed to find extra items on our bill when paying, really left a sour taste. Check your bill before paying!

Avoid, Prices for wines are sky high. They call 250 ml a caraffe. Ridiculous, this is a large glass. Their house white is dreadful, cheapest sort available. £ 10,50 for that is a bad joke. The men's toilet facilities are a scandal. Grubby is being polite. The staff had no idea about wine, food was just about passable. We shall never return. This restaurant is at the other end of the scala compared to the now unfortunately permanently closed Spaghetti house in Duke Street. What a shame

Meal was lovely, had the garlic bread starter , lasagne and pumpkin ravioli , delicious food , slightly small portions, arrived quickly . One odd point , sunny day and tables outside but not allowed to sit outdoors as they don’t serve food outside !

This is the second time I’ve taken my family to the Spaghetti House at Duke Street and both times we’ve had an excellent meal. The food is quality and the service both attentive and fast which is vital when you have young children to feed! The portion sizes are large and the meals arrive at the same time and hot which is brilliant :) My son and i had the Carbonara, my wife and two youngsters had spaghetti bolognese and all were really tasty Thank you to Remis for looking after us so well and we’ll definitely be back.

The food quality was as good, as we remembered. Specifically the Escalope and Spaghetti Bolonaise. (used to be here 2-3 times a week). Same nice West end decor - newly painted it seems. We read the reviews first. Yes new staff - not exactly the slick enthusiastic ( Italian) long servers of old.. Slow service and not full of customers - a shame. Why is that? Duke Street branch is worth a visit. (Opposite is one of Londons historic Coffee houses - do visit)

We had a very enjoyable lunch at this branch of Spaghetti House. The manager was very kind and gave us a larger table away from other diners. The meal was very tasty, a nice garlic bread, Cesar salad and spaghetti Bolognese that was flavorful and delicious. For a restaurant in Mayfair, the meal was well priced and we would gladly return on our next visit to London.

Food was cold. Then they made it again but wrongly!! It’s only we when the chef talked to us personally we ate.. so much delay for a simple pizza!!!

Server cleared our starters and expected us to use the same cutlery. party of 4 then forgot to other 4 mains only 3 arrived, which left us waiting for the 4th main by which time the food was cold. The noise the servers were making clearing and cleaning cutlery and crockery was very distracting, whilst throwing empty wine bottles into the bin. Doors were left open on a cold winters afternoon creating a very cold draft. Shocking service, shocking food and shocking attitude. To add insult to injury 13.5% service was added which we deducted. The meal and experience wasn’t worth the £150, never mind adding a service charge.

I've just left the branch facing liberty. The manager there was extremely rude and refused to even have a proper conversation and apologise for the way they've behaved and carried on to be rude to me and my family. We have been loyal customers of spaghetti house for many many years .. and I am afraid the behaviour we have witnessed today has put us off it..

Very terrible food. Our spaghetti dishes was really bad, the taste, the look and the smell was so bad. Other guests had the same exsperience. The servants did not ask us about the food and they did not ask why we had to leave the food. It is NOT food recommended for humans.

Had a family dinner here when visiting grovesnor area of London. Service was challenging. Waiter barely spoke English and we had to point to things on menu. We were a party of 9 and only 8 got their meals. Manager didn’t really seem to care. They didn’t offer to comp anything just said if you still want it we’ll make it. Food was very mediocre. I’m a NY’er so I eat a lot of good italian. Also been all over Europe and to Italy. Their sauces were generally bland and their meat based pastas (bolognese) had little in way of the meat ragu. Drink orders were challenging. Although Aperol spritz were advertised all over the restaurant, the waiter didn’t know what it was. Would not recommend this place unless can’t get a table anywhere else.

The salads were ok but not exciting.. What is curious is the service charge 13.5 % instead of the usual 12.5 %.

Food and service is not existent in this place topped by clueless management and staff acting like cowboys. If you go there and have grievances you will definitely experience the finest in management incompetence.

Visited on the 23rd December. Food was average & service was awful. Staff seem unable to fulfil simple requests. The restaurant was quiet with about 5 tables occupied. Drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive, requested water which was never given, mains arrived & when our side dish was placed on the table, we were questioned multiple times by another waiter if that was what we had actually ordered. Table was set with a knife & a spoon each, when requesting a fork, waiter runs off, not to get us one, but to finish his shift. Had to request sauce 3 times & each time they acknowledged that they forgot, we were half way through our meal when it eventually came. The 13.5% service fee is outrageous considering even paying the bill was an ordeal. Would never return or recommend.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE Me and the mrs went here on the 23/12/22. Staff are completely clueless and don’t listen. Starter was dry as cardboard. We had spag bowl and carbonara and asked for a side of chips. The chips came out with the starter and honestly a microwave meal would’ve been better. The family next to us were shaking their heads as they were getting annoyed too. I’ve never asked for the service charge to be taken off but this time I had too and the old lady then proceeded to question me why!!!! The old women is hideous, family next to us paid and they got a “Merry Christmas have a nice day” but we didn’t even get a thank you she just walked off because we asked to take the service charge off 😂 Honestly, NEVER EVER go here…

I have tried spaghetti house before so I know the food is really good and the place is very nice especially outdoor when it is sunny. Yet as mentioned my wallet was stolen in London and I didn’t have any cards on me just cash. Food quality was great but the service quality was really bad! There were 4 staff members in the restaurant serving people. A guy and a lady did all the work and were REALLY busy serving people. The other 2 ladies seemed too arrogant to serve people. I had to wait for 15 minutes so that somebody can notice my raised waving hand that was requesting the bill.

Après notre shopping sur Oxford Street nous étions en quête d’un italien assez proche.... quelle déception! Ce restaurant sympathique au premier abord fut catastrophique: temps excessivement long, service déplorable, erreurs de commande (les plats apportés n’étaient pas les bons, cocasse...), plats fades et tout ceci agrémenté d’un service facturé 5£!!!!! Du délire.
