Southwold Putting Green & Cafe in Waveney

It's a great cafe, just across the road from the pier. Visited today for some lunch and we had a Ham and Cheese Toastie and a Ham and Cheese Panini. Both were nice and tasty. Would recommend. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent.

First we had a perfect take away coffee which we enjoyed on the pier. Then we returned for a large pot of tea and delicious sandwiches for lunch. Everything was cheaper and much better than anywhere else we'd tried and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

What a lovely place. We visited two days in a row for breakfast whilst camping locally. Friendly, welcoming staff and a pleasant place to enjoy nice food and drink.

Only had an ice cream but it was nice and was able to watch the Crazy Golf. Just across from the Pier. Nice area to sit out and enjoy a coffee.

One of those Oasis in ones life, we had so much fun with the staff that we had to go back for more!! A lot of cafes, emporiums need to take note. Or more to point don't go elsewhere come to the Cafe on the Green (opposite the pier)

Picked up a yummy ice cream from the lovely chap who served us this afternoon. Hard to find a decent sized & priced whippy ice cream these days but this was the one! Made from Devon cream, It was a mega ice cream 🥰

Had a great time! A hot drink served with a smile 😃 and a fun game on the putting green. We've been there several times over the last couple of years and we haven't been disappointed!

Expensive for a bit of toast and jam, poor quality bread used and barely toasted was like warm bread, coffee and smoothie nice though.

The food was amazing, great staff. It is a hidden gem. The golf is fabulous very freindly man running it, very kind and funny. Would recommend great ice cream as well, it is a must do.

Seems like a golfing holiday... or rather a putting holiday. A great idea and a perfect way to spend an autumn afternoon.

Ordered two iced lattes - was basically a cup of milk and couldn't taste the coffee at all.

Just had the most forgettable icecream. As soon as i took it in my hand it broke apart and i saved it with my hands. They just gave us a cup where to put it instead of a new one. Furthermore, it didn't taste cream but mostly cold ice. Maybe their machine for ice cream just broke down before my order? Otherwise I cannot understand

Highly recommend the bacon and sausage rolls. Fruit scone really nice too. Oops also ice-creams were delicious. What can I say. Also big up to Ken for keeping the gardens so lovely.

Great little coffee shop. The coffee is really good and we had some breakfast rolls which are really good too. You also have the option to use the putting green so the kids are entertained.

Lovely cafe, jubilant staff and good VFM. Recommend the Bacon, Sausage & Tomato roll including a cuppa £7.

Great putting green, nice cafe with terrace to watch putting from. Very helpful and friendly staff - specially 'Tiger Woods' who sorts you out with equipment! More like Tigger actually! We enjoyed our visit.

Yep motorcycle friendly...fab bacon roll and coffee and back for a cream tea in the afternoon.... which gave nearly 4 cups of tea .Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Rubbish service, rude to my self and other customers, too busy chatting. If you don't buy a cake they don't want anything to do with you.

VERY VERY rude staff, was spoken to so badly this morning that me and my 4 year old daughter left. This is isn't the first time, I thought maybe that the first time was down to the lady serving just having a bad day. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Generous portions. Proper pot of tea for two with six decent cupfuls. Cream tea, plenty cream and jam and a great portion of fruit cake.

Convenient for the beach but slow service and bad coffee.

Large cake choices and fresh scones baked daily. Would like to see lunch dishes that were a bit more exciting and dishes that were aimed at people with less money too, not just rich Southwold folk

Food was nice if a bit dear but lots of tables could do with clearing and a friend of the staff was having and extremely loud phone conversation about 3 foot from our table which was very annoying. It’s a phone mate, no need to shout!

Lovely friendly staff, went above and beyond and bought out a great for the dog. Delicious ice cream and tea in proper China cups. Made a lovely stop off on our holiday and the children loved feeding crums to the ducks.

We watch the regatta here ... It is good fun

Love it, it's great fun plus a lovely little restaurant. Poppy and her staff look after you well. Greens a bit tricky right now because of the long dry summer, but it makes it an even greater challenge !!

Did the crazy golf with the kids. No windmill or other "craziness" just 9 quite tricky putts. Probably better for older kids and competent golfers.

Haven't been here for years but it was lovely to come back and discover that it was 1) still there, and 2) the cute little shed is now a cute little cafe. So you can have tea as well as putt. Very friendly and helpful staff with a family feel.

This little place looks very inviting as it looks so clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly too. We only had hot drinks but sat on the comfy seats out of the wind and it turned out to be a real sun trap. If it gets chilly there are blankets available to cover you up- what a great idea! There is also a putting green on site too!

Lovely boating lake, if a little overpriced and chaotic! Service was quick for most of our group however one person didn't get there's at all!! 4 stars awarded as the food and drinks were lovely and it really is in an ideal location. A shame that the staff seem overworked and I don't believe that it was their fault the order wasn't fulfilled.
