Great Atmosphere. Insane selection of Tequilas. Quality products as well!

Went here for drinks the other day. Thank you so much to Holly who found my phone on a table and brought it to the bar!!! Furthermore May was really kind and sweet. The hospitality here is amazing along with the drinks!

Great atmosphere and the most delicious frozen margaritas

I have been coming here 3 years in a row. The absolute best place in Manchester. Jake and hollie, Absolutely amazing. Owners are wonderful. I recommend anyone going there. I love the vibes and all. I had this tequila there that was really delicious. That bar knows tequila. There will be no disrespect of the bar. They are great people and great establishment. Also hollie makes a green energy shot. Sooooooooo good. Love yall. vick from St. Louis.

Probably the worst margarita I’ve ever had. Not sure about the other cocktails, maybe they’re better.

Came here with a couple friends on Friday had a great time. Such a good time we came back on Saturday aswell. Staff where fantastic, working hard and super friendly making great recommendations on the cocktail menu when we wearn't sure what to get. Couldn't recomend enough and definitely will coming back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

He is weird and unkind and has a god complex and loves to shout when he is intoxicated at work Bartenders are all sooo sound and lovely btw and should probs be paid way more it’s just this guy who’s not xx

Great little place, drinks are really nice, bartenders are lovely and friendly. The place is really well done. Just wish it was a little bigger. It was quite loud in here so depending on what atmosphere you're looking for it you might enjoy it more/less :)

Great beer selection and really friendly staff. Also the Guinness here is good. Definitely get the Guinness here.

Just had a classic marg, was really good! Music was poppin. Atmosphere was really good even for a lone drinker. Will defo be back to try some of their original bevies!

Poor choice of drinks very expensive and not nice for what you get - go elsewhere.

Took an almost full drink from our table and then accused us of lying about it when I told them, then came and taunted us about it while trying to take another half full drink. Be prepared to be treated terribly

Website says they do food but been informed, rather abruptly, that their kitchen closed 3 Months ago. Really should update their website as I travelled long and far for some tacos 🌮.

One of my favorite bars! Great atmosphere, the 241 cocktails until 11pm is awesome too. Would recommend this bar for sure

Went here last night for tacos to find out they are no longer serving food at all on the premises. Cocktails were good though.

Just got asked for student I.d. on an August bank holiday. I've been going in this bar since before it was Solomons. Very strange attitude to take in a local village. Place was dead. Enjoy their student loans running out

Everything about this place is absolutely fine except for the music. Specifically the volume. Why is it so loud please.

I'm a regular at Southside but have to say that the recent changes to the food menu are divine! Plenty of veg options, very accommodating portions to share, really attentive and fast service too. Come for the happy hours between 9-11 to take advantage of bogof on their delicious cocktails and bottles beers (it can get very busy but the service is always very fast and quality is not compromised.). Atmosphere and music have always been a good vibe, staff show real care and love of what they do.

Was a great place until I became the oldest person in the room. Food was okay, would of been better if the girl at the bar had got my order right the first time.. was one guy on the bar that was absolutely fantastic, didn't serve me but anticipated everything I needed, napkins, a coaster dark hair guy, His service was absolutely on point and I really appreciated it.

We were disappointed by this place after such good reviews. Margaritas tasted nice but could have done with a garnish for the price. The price of the food reflected the quality, nice enough but nothing special. Too much spice.

Over filled and understaffed. Absolutely rammed with no space at the bar.

Often a fun experience and nice cocktails at a reasonable price. Does however feel as though they are not able to staff or accommodate the popularity of their happy hour, it is often near impossible to get served at this time. The toilets are little small for the number of people who visit the bar. Nice music though and good vibes decoration wise. Also have found glass in drink on one occasion and was treated with suspicion when reporting this to staff and offered free shot and no reassurance when my concern was for safety of other customers.

Wouldn't normally bother to leave reviews, but someone local recommended my friend and I check out Southside if we wanted to try some different tequilas. My goodness, we weren't disappointed. The tequila offering was fantastic, and it was 2 for 1 which made it even better. Most of all the service was exceptional; as soon as we walked in Holly talked us through the different bottles and we felt comfortable enough to just stand at the bar without feeling like we were getting in the way. After a while we were served by a guy called Jake who likewise, was passionate, welcoming and knowledgeable. It makes a big difference when the staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. My friend and I have decided to catch up here every week. In case it isn't clear - I'd highly recommend!

We happened upon this lovely little place last night. Good vibes and cool decor, music is great (90s/00s/10s cheese remixes - what's not to like?) and drinks are good value. But the best thing was the staff: shout out to Jake and Holly for making us feel welcome and sharing their expertise of tequila with us. Not to sound like Arnie, but "I'll be back" ;)

three separate orders three separate hairs. found a hair on our glass when we ordered our first drink. then found two hairs in two separate tacos it's vile. the staff are pretty rude and seem to think they're better than you

Cheap tasty tacos with lots of veggie options and good beers on draught. Need to try the Margarita with Corona bottles in them next time!

Highly recommended for excellent tequila and tacos.

Not a traditional meal, but a great spot for drinks and snacks! The tacos are bitesized, but cheap enough to get many, and excellent paired with a bowl of chips and dips. The cocktails are equally as good, just a shame they don't do a happy hour!

Authentic corn tortillas serving up original and delicious taco fillings, from classic Mexican specials to original takes on innovative fusion ideas, this place delivers and exceeds all expectations. The best staff, best food and drink, and chillest most welcoming atmosphere going. 10/10 will always thank u come again

I went to Southside Tequila Joint the other day with my friend to try out their new brunch menu. OH MY GOD. If you live around Withington you definitely need to stop by. The food is absolutely amazing and the drinks are so so strong. I had the Bacon quesadilla accompanied with Breakfast Margarita and it was delicious. Plus- times are tough at the moment so you will appreciate the fact it's all very well priced- i mean how can you say no to a margarita for a fiver! The staff is also absolutely amazing and made sure we had everything we needed :)

Manager had a go at me for not wearing a mask. Having calmly explained to him that UK law provides exemptions and that it is illegal to ask someone why they are exempt or to provide documentary justification, and that doing so likely constitutes a breach of the Equalities Act (discrimination against people with disabilities), he doubled down, refused to apologised and questioned why I was even allowed to leave the house. He said it was his business's policy; I politely objected that whatever personal business policy he mandates, it is not an excuse to break the law. It made no difference and he stormed off. A real people person.

Superb visit. knowledgeable staff, small simple menu. The guac dip was excellent. 4 out of 5 because I would like more adventurous and authentic tacos than eg. Cheeseburger, and the sides were underwhelming. Would go back

Tacos are on point. Tried them.all over several visits, all are great. Staff are friendly and tentative. Even if you don't like Tequila, it's with going. Craft beers on tap, plenty of cocktails and if you're game, lots of tequila shots. Good chilled vibe, quick service, v.clean.

I really enjoyed the southside cocktail and the three tacos. The tacos were quite small, which I should have known cause of the price. The taco flavourings were interesting and diverse but it would have been nice to see freshly made, hearty beef tacos with all the classic toppings.

What a gem!! The choice of tequilas is absolutely top notch (and I am a tequila aficionado who knows her way around), we had some beautiful mezcal as well and the staff was very fun and seemed to enjoy being there! Cannot wait to come back for some tacos and frozen marg 💚

OMG! Superb. I didn’t think Solomon’s could be improved but what a phenomenal job they have done during lockdown.. I don’t know where to start.. Firstly - the staff.. Awesome. They are very customer oriented. Professional and happy (that is because they clearly love what they are doing!) Outside area is fabulous! Table layout, decor, the new and improved downstairs area and general ambience is perfect for Withington Village.. The food is unreal. Fresh, exhilarating and unfussy. It does what it says on the tin! Tasty and inventive! The Tequila Selection is truly inspired! Toilets are a joy! You get to learn a new language whilst doing a wee! I understand the COVID mask thing must be difficult for everyone (everywhere) but the staff just do it with aplomb. It was hugely busy on the Wednesday night we went and even though there were people constantly coming in the door staff were unfettered and incredibly happy to help. I think the ordering system is fabulous! Obvs at some point in the future peps may be able to order at the bar but I think the system of ordering online is very simple, efficient and very well organised!. A special mention to Lily who is an absolute star.. such an engaging young lady! Really attentive and you know everything was done with a smile under her mask! It doesn’t matter if you are local, a tourist or just curious to try something new; you will not be disappointed! And it has a 2am license! Which is rare outside of Central Manchester. An uber cool South Manchester gem which I will definitely be returning to! Soon!

The food was delicious. Really generous on their portion at a very good price. We went early on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy.

Went on the 19th August and was met by a very friendly and charming waitress that complimented my top. From there the service was amazing not only by herself but also the male waiter also. The service was very natural and you could tell the waiting staff were just being themselves. Great selection of tequila and the food was nice too. Super atmosphere and decor.

It’s certainly not ‘yet another’ taco bar... the food was delicious, there was a great atmosphere and the service this evening was top notch. Really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to come back soon.

The staff from Wilderness and I had a wonderful evening at Southside last night. The food was great, the drinks were great (reasonably priced and loads of options) and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and really speedy and efficient service. I'm currently very hungover and worried this is going to become a regular occurence. Thanks you lot x

The apo couldn't be easier to use and all staff were amazing at making us feel safe, respected and welcome. They also got us leathered, so that's another bonus. Good fun, love the booths and smoking area is wicked... Delicious drinks special as well, wow.

Food excellent, service and ambiance very good. Ordering through the App is an absolute joke. Would hate to think I was trying g to do this after a couple of tequilas or if I was a little infirm. Also please don’t make your staff wear masks. It is totally unnecessary and does not enhance the experience at all. Would recommend and will go again though.

Ordering through the app is the only downside to the overall excellent experience. Tacos are amazing but please bring back contact less payments.

Jake was the best. His customer service skills is one of the best skills I have ever experienced in my life!!!!
