Super friendly and helpful staff

Booked this hotel as package for my partners 30th birthday. Afraid to say I was so disappointed with majority of our stay.When checking into our room, the lady of reception went to charge me again for the stay. Luckily I questioned it because that would have been another £300. Booked to have some spa treatments, the floor in the massage room looked like it hadn’t been hoovered in over a week! The area where the hot tub is located hadn’t been cleaned in a while clearly… leafs and big bits of moss all over the floor (trip hazard) surrounding the hot tub. The rattan furniture to sit on had no cushions (it was sunny and hot) so you expect it would be out? It was covered in leafs, moss, dirt and cobwebs! Really hard to believe that weddings are booked at this location. Paid for a room upgrade to have a shower with hardly any pressure to wash properly and a cold tap in the sink that doesn’t even work? Was hoping to be saved by the evening meal but yet again another disappointment… truffle Mushrooms bruschetta starter which was swimming in olive oil! Took one bite and didn’t eat any more. The mushrooms had zero flavour, truffle? Partner had the rosemary lamb which yet again had zero flavour, a dry rosemary had been put on top for decoration? Obviously not cooked with it or any seasoning for that matter. Sherry due which tasted like salty gravy and potatoes that were a yellow/green colour cooked terribly. We decided to not bother getting any dessert and instead went to a Sainsbury’s near by as we were still hungry and unsatisfied. The prices charged for the La Carte menu are ridiculous considering they have nobody capable of cooking it properly. I was told by a staff member when we first arrived that Saturday is their busiest day. Hard to believe that when the place was such a mess. What I find more wild is that there must be a manager walking around and seeing all these things and yet it seems nothing is done. Please don’t waste your money at a place like this, there’s much better out there. We recommend Coombe Abbey in Coventry

A brilliant luxury manicure and pedicure by Rachel. She was so lovely and friendly and extra attentive to me being heavily pregnant. Truly pampered. Highly recommend Thank you

A lovely hotel situated just on the outskirts in an old manor house with charm and character and set in beautiful grounds run by a friendly team of staff. The two of us stayed here for an overnights stay in one of the superior rooms which overlooked the gardens, We found the room to be of a decent size and adequately furnished, and with comfortable beds, very clean, an average size bathroom with plenty of clean fresh towels, upon showering we discovered that the water pressure wasn'nt brilliant but it is understandable due to the age of the building. We ate in Oscars restaurant, and so glad we did, we both thought that the food was of an excellent standard, also, we had breakfast which was also very good with a self service area for the cold options buffet and staff taking orders for the cooked breakfasts. We agree with some of the reviews that this hotel would benefit from a little tlc, mainly the decor in some areas and especially some of the chairs in the restaurant which appear to be stained but saying that this doesn't detract from the overall beauty and charm of this manor hotel. Would stay again.

We must have caught this place on an off day because it was just awful. The service was terrible. 20 mins to get a drink with 2 bar staff and only 5 people waiting. Room wasn't what we originally paid for and staff were very slow in rectifying this. In the end we just put up with it. No apology from any staff just lots of huffing and puffing. Won't ever be staying again after this

We went for an afternoon tea for my friends 60th birthday 🎂 the staff were lovely and accommodating, food was fab! Definitely recommend 😁👍
