Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Sweet and sour sauce like brown vinegar, no chicken in spongey overcooked batter and fatty pork in cold noodles - definitely not a chow mein! Should be ashamed of themselves and maybe time to shut down. Even my cat refused to eat it.

Bought a chicken chowmein asked for it dry well let me tell you it was dry awful big pile of stodgy noodles white boiled chicken no beanspouts 3 limp pieces of what looked like lettuce could have been Pac choi and a couple of slices of onion .chicken curry which had 2 spoonfuls of sauce and stodgy fried rice never heard the chef cooking using the wok after 5 minutes he came to the counter and said it would be another 5 .minutes probably heated up in the microwave wouldn't even give it to my dog complete waste of money

By far the finest Chinese in South shore, if not Blackpool! The food is always excellent quality and the prices are so cheap. Great front of house service too!🙂

Absolutely lovely food but I had ordered seaweed as I normally love this however I had one spoonful and had to throw the rest away, it was pure sugar. So much so there were solid clumps of sugar almost like boiled sweets. Absolutely disgusting. I phoned to ask if this was normal and they said they do use a lot of sugar. I have never experienced seaweed from anywhere else that should be on the dessert menu, total waste of £3. No offer of refund or anything so won't be ordering from here again even though the rest of the food was lovely. Very disappointed.

Order salt and pepper chicken and chips, Thai red chicken curry and special fried rice. Everything was very tasty. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back to order again. Able to order and pay online was also a bonus. Thank you

Ordered 3 meals with additional rice and when we got home, the food was disgusting. Stodgy rice, big clumps, nothing good about it at all. Even one of the meals ordered was wrong, would never ever go again. Would recommend everyone stay away, that is unless you want to eat rubbish food.

Will never ever EVER order from this place again. Food arrived greasy, pure batter, total waste of £24 for totally inedible food. Chicken balls pure batter, Duck all fat, salt and pepper chips soggy and inedible, shockingly disgraceful attitude of owner who gave no apologies and extremely rude, putting the phone down on me when I complained!! Such a shame as the polite man on the counter taking orders is an absolute credit to you, as is the lady that also takes orders over the phone. Horrible owner!!! Food disgusting. All of it binned!

As the South Sea is our local restaurant for Chinese we have ordered meals here quite a few times. The last few times the food quality has deteriorated, but we have put it down to maybe different cooks. The last meal was the last straw, it was awful. No care has gone into preparation or quality. All our food just looked like brown slop. SnS king prawns with noodles all brown with the over powering taste of rancid sauce and dried out prawn balls. The fruity sauce chicken balls were pretty much exactly the same, with the same rancid sauce and brown noodles with two slices of carrot in. The chips were hollow and dry because they had been re heated more than twice in my opinion. All i can say is Jimmy we wont be back ever again and three times of poor food is two times too many. It pains me to say this but, avoid and go elsewhere for better quality at the same price. Wish i had taken photos now, you would be appalled, ended up having frozen pizza instead

The meal we ordered tonight was requested to be delivered for 8:30pm it arrived at 7:05pm the meal was a family surprise meal so that was totally ruined. We asked for duck in oyster sauce. We did not get this meal. We asked for plain noodles with mushrooms we did not get this meal. We received prawn crackers which appeared to have been crushed. They were also discoloured which appeared to be left overs and made me feel sick. We complained, the owner said ok and put the phone down! Never ever again will I spend my hard earned money on food that went in the bin!! Disgusting, is not a strong enough word to use.

Highly recommend ! Best sweet & Sour Ever and chicken balls are huge! spring rolls are the best iv tried and I’m quite fussy where I buy them from, Curry delicious !! Rice was lovely ! Best in Blackpool !

The worse ever, never ever again. Was recommended, the food was absolutely horrible, 🤮never again. Greasy, rice, was like sloop.

Can't recommend it enough. The salt and pepper chicken or chip's are just lush. Eat here a fair bit and the prices are good and they deliver to most of Blackpool. Jimmy is a great at the job he does and would listen to any nutritional information required when ordering.

Hot, spicy and tasty South Sea after passing it many times and am impressed. Good portions and very tasty.

Food always on point, little different from other Chinese takeaways as you can see alot of preparation and creativity with the food and the takeaway itself. Lovely place highly recommend salt and pepper chicken and chips. 10/10

Go to this chinese all the time and it never fails to amaze me , i find something new and delicious all the time. The staff are lovely and is a credit to the south shore area. Absolutely amazing prices. £4.50 for salt and pepper chicken and chips in a box. Definitely cant argue with that.

Delivery took 1 hour and 30 mins! Horrible food! My chicken didn’t even taste like chicken! I ordered DUCK chow men dish and I had NO meat at all inside, just noodles and veg! Also didn’t know you could find half of your dish full of cherry tomatoes, carrots and broccoli; those were the 3 veg we had!!!!!!!I do not recommend this place!!!

Always go to this chinese as i work a couple doors down , has great food , great prices and amazing staff. Should be proud.

We ordered the honey chicken and crispy shredded beef, beef was chewy and dry. Both of us don’t feel too great after it now and dreading how we’re going to feel in the morning.

Been a couple of times tried a few dishes all but the sweet and sour chicken were overcooked. Prawn toast was OK. Far from the best Chinese we've had, unfortunately won't be ordering again just seems to get worse every time we've ordered. Sweet and sour chicken was really nice though.

used to be good. I think a change of hands. I have no idea how a chinese can get 2 popular dishes so badly wrong. They call it chicken but I am tempted to get it tested. Pathetic excuses when phoned back. Don't waste your money go elsewhere.

Really disappointing meal tonight. Ordered crispy chilli beef, hardly any sauce, didn't even cover the beef so that was really dry. But what was most annoying was there wasn't one bit of carrot,onion or pepper like there usually is,no veg what so ever,gutted! Will be looking for another Chinese take away to use.

my new favourite chinese, had bad experience with all of them apart from south sea. Came fast, hot, big portions, good price, tasty, fresh ingredients. Also staff were really friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal for once. Worth every penny, would recommend to anybody!

Food was dry, the sauce didnt even cover the meat so when it came the meat was dry.

Our last order was the chicken nuggets in a sweet and sour sauce, absolutely lovely and my kids loved it. We also ordered a curry dish with boiled rice and chips (has we normally do) and we always find that the curry is just the right balance (not too hot or too mild), very tasty too.

Regulars for takeaway at the weekend. Tonight the food was exceptional. Really really good. Thank you guys x

Don't like writing this really but ordered soup, salt n chilli chicken, sweet n sour balls tub of sauce and beef chow mein. Soup had loads of blk bits on. Salt n chilli was very dry, sweet n sour sauce had somethin blk in it and chow mein was full of blk bits then I came across a bug with in it. I'm disgusted. Will not b goin there again. And the delivery driver(the older one) is bloody ignorant.

Great staff, fab food ..consistently on the mark ...my local and favourite ...try the crispy shredded beef

We tried this takeaway for the first time this weekend. having moved house, we thought to try our most local takeaway, and were not disappointed at all.

Ordered a Chinese from here for the first time. Prices are reasonable, delivery was quick apart from they went to hotel across from our address.
