Sourdough Sophia in Haringey

Vi este lugar la semana pasada y quería probarlo. No me decepcionó. Me encanta la idea de pasteles, pero generalmente los encuentro bien. Cada bocado de este Pain Au Chocolat era delicioso. Escamoso pero no seco por fuera, cálido , suave y mantecoso por dentro con exquisitos trozos de chocolate. No veo la hora de volver.

Excitedly made my way last Wednesday for the first visit so imagine to my utter frustration the restaurant was closed, although it said Closing Time 4.30pm. I think i got there 4.05 approximately. That first impression has made its mark. I would not go to this restaurant again, to save further disappointment. They couldn't give a toss!

We finally came to Essex Road this afternoon. Firstly it was amazing to be able to finally sit down and enjoy your lovely goodies indoors. Secondly, I’m amazed by the staff, so friendly and understanding of our 4 kids. Thirdly the attention to detail to little customers, drawing paper with baked goodies, crayons, emergency nappies and wipes and even the toilet seat adapter. Small suggestion (since you are already gone the extra mile for children) is to add a step stool so they can reach the toilet and sink on their own! Best bakery in north London!

Special journey to Crouch End as have been an instagram follower and it looked so good. Didn't disappoint and we did our best to try everything - sandwiches were worth every penny (made with love), cakes were suitably indulgent and the take home loaves freeze well and are still being enjoyed. The people working there were buzzy and obviously cared. Great place, worth the effort to go try it and you'll be supporting an independent rather than a chain.
