OMG I love this place. Please open in Cambridge - such delicious soup, beautifully presented. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and super friendly staff. A delivery arrived while I was here and I can assure you it is all locally sourced quality ingredients, cooked from scratch

My new favourite lunch place in Norwich. The soups (and I haven't got beyond the soups on the savoury menu as they are so good) not only taste great but are so beautifully presented (I believe the kids would call it 'Instagramable'). The cafe is immaculately clean and the staff / owners so, so friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

Fabulous little place serving beautiful home made soups. Highly recommend. Didn’t try the cake but I’ll be back.

This café specialises in soup. But as we found out it also does a very good coffee. It is not very large and there are no external tables as it is located on a very steep hill. We enjoyed sitting on the barstools in the window and the coffee cost £6 for two flat whites. The staff were very pleasant.

Had seen all the good reviews so decided to visit. Bright and airy room with a few tables. We were immediately approached by a friendly young woman who showed us to the table and explained how to order (at the counter and pay before eating). Not licenced, so we ordered yuzu, lemon and honey sodas from a list of interesting sounding drinks. It came promptly and was refreshing, tangy and not too sweet. We shared a charred corn and squash salad with miso dressing to start. Simple, but SO tasty and well with the £3 it cost. I had a 'light' pea and coconut soup (light meaning 2/3 of the full size), with a brioche roll with honey butter for £5.50 and my partner had an avocado and poached eggs sourdough tartine at £7.50. Everything looked absolutely beautiful, so well presented. The avocado was cut to look like a flower and my soup was strewn with edible flowers. We were both blown away by the taste of the dishes. Having just returned from San Sebastian in Spain, one of the culinary hotspots of Europe, with more Michelin stars per head than anywhere else, Soupear provides food of similar quality. This place deserves to prosper. My only concern is that when it becomes more well known, it may be difficult to get a table as it is small. Will be returning soon to try out more things on the menu including the puddings. The soups also are changed every two weeks.

A little gem of a cafe serving beautiful food all day. The service is warm and friendly. It is so clean. I’ve been a number of times and had Flat Whites, Sodas, Mille Crepe (original & matcha) and Advocado & Poached Egg Sourdough Tartine. My son had the miso soup. Everything is served with care and attention. The food is just wonderful. It is a place of calm in a hectic world.

Enjoyed an excellent asparagus and artichoke soup with a delicious garlic brioche, nice details in the presentation, lovely. The peach and lychee soda was superb also. Would go back soon and recommend to anyone wanting a high quality and great value meal without the unnecessary frills. Thank you Soupear!

This is a gem of a place. We saw an article about its opening back in May and came by for a late light lunch. We had the poached egg and avocado tartine and the squash and grilled sweet corn salad with Americano coffees. Everything was exquisitely made to order. The chef came out to explain that the little petals and flowers are edible. And indeed the tiny marigold added a subtle flavor. The menu is small but good selection for breakfast or lunch. And their prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of the dishes. Nice decor and comfortable space.

Lovely spot for quality lunch. We went here during a hot summer's day and were glad we found this hidden gem. We had matcha iced latte, their mushroom and truffle mayo tartine, egg and avocado tartine, and could not resist the matcha mille crepe cake. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, a perfect balance of flavours, and drinks were refreshing. The service was lovely, service lady was very kind and friendly. Can't wait to be back to try their soups and salads next time.

Just opened 2 weeks ago - been twice. Soupear on Opie Street near Castle Meadow. Really nice couple - nice food. Coffee/Tea and cake for £5.50 ~ £6.50 - which for Millie Crepe is very good. The desert was about the best I have had - very tasty and light - perfect with an esprezzo. I had the Tartine with side salad - all made fresh from scratch. They will be adding and changing the menu and looking for feedback. I hope they do well check them out.

A lovely friendly cafe and bakery, If only they offered a brown toast option and a choice of butter instead of margarine (for which I would happily pay a little extra) it would be absolutely perfect and I'd easily give 5 stars for food, Nice food and great value.

£4.40 for a very mediocre oat flat white. I get prices are going up everywhere but this is ridiculous! Will not be returning as there are too many better options in Norwich when it comes to great coffee.

Lovely welcome. Sadly drinks took an age to come - it was only a pint and a cocktail. Forgot our waters too. Hopefully better next time.

Limited choice but all food always excellent quality, delicious and good value for money. Wine cellar excellent choice and affordable also. Dining room can be a little tight on space and noisy if large groups, so perhaps not ideal for anyone with a hearing issue.
