Fish finger burger and chips clearly from frozen, didn’t taste very nice and not worth £9, owner defensive , won’t b back

Don't be out off by the entrance walkway towards this wonderful cafe situated at the back. The food was absolutely delicious, great service and reasonably priced. The staff are happy to accommodate my husband's dietary requirements, which made our experience even better. I can only imagine how lovely it would be in the summer with the pretty courtyard garden enjoying lunch and watching the birds. I would highly recommend you try it you won't be disappointed

We dropped in for a light lunch. Good friendly service and excellent food. The stilton and broccoli soup with crusty bread was delicious and very reasonably priced. The garden would be lovely in warmer weather.

Looking for a place for light lunch on a trip to Beccles, Soupa had good reviews so chose this small cafe. Very glad we did! Tucked away through a discount store - don’t let that put you off. Very clean and smart with a lovely lunch menu including daily specials. Choice of home made soups (hence the name), I had roast Mediterranean veg soup and warm granary bread which was cracking. She who must be obeyed had an egg mayo and cress sarnie - thick fresh bread with lashings of filling plus a side salad with dressing. Hot chocolate and cappuccino were first rate. Shame we are on holiday or this would be a regular stop for us!

Used to go here for coffee and tea cake and it was a very tatty place but has been delightfully transformed and now is clean and modern and even the garden looks inviting instead of like a tip! Good service with a smile and nice coffee.

Me and a mate visited here for lunch the other week and had a fantastic lunch, we were made to feel welcomed upon entry and throughout the entirety of our stay by all the staff. I had the Gourmet Burger which for the price tag was excellent value for money. Really good quality Burger too with a generous portion of Chips and Salad. My mate had the Jacket Potato which too many places don't do right but he admitted it was spot on as to how it should be. Had Banana Fritters for Pudding too which again was great value for money, generous portion and very tasty. My only very slight nitpick would be Soupa is easy to miss and walk past, if you're not paying 100 percent attention. Perhaps a little more signage or indication as to where it is would be a good thing as more people need to check it out as it's a brilliant place for Lunch and it would be sad if people were to miss out simply because they couldn't find it. Overall really impressed with Soupa and whenever I'm next in Beccles or near to Beccles will definitely visit again.

Lovely lunch today at this small cafe. Walk through the shop (Gary's Discount) to order from varied menu including homemade quiche, soups, cakes and scones. Friendly service, good prices, fire burning brightly and a warm welcome. Well worth a visit.

Nice little cafe hidden behind a hard ware shop. The food was well presented and a reasonable price. Staff were really friendly and a good service. Lots of wasps in the garden but that couldn’t be helped on a lovely sunny day.

Stopped in Beccles for a lunch break and bored of the usual fast food places. Found this place by chance as not really highlighted on the street. You go through a cheap and easy shop to find it. Service was good, sandwiches well made and fish and chips only ok.......it did taste a bit odd? Good strong tea and fast service. Overall ok but not the best I have used.

Such a pity we were not more hungry! Absolute gem, beautiful garden, fantastic food, cheerful, efficient service and great value. We ate in the garden, but there was a nice indoor dining room too. We will definitely go again for lunch next time we go to Beccles.

Delicious breakfast, quality ingredients beautifully cooked. We had a really lovely morning, nattering, drinking delicious coffee and eating heartily, nothing was too much trouble and we were not rushed. All of my party are happy to make a return visit. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable morning, next time I hope we can get outside into the very pretty little garde4n.

Very nice in the garden, service prompt and friendly, food really nice and value for money. we shall definitely make more visits.

I pop into Soupa whenever I am shopping in Beccles as it is Beccles' best kept secret cafe with a large natural garden. If you want to see a very old Wisteria tree, give this place a visit. Every meal I have had, from scones, soups and mains have been excellent. Small, intimate dining space well worth it's weight in gold if you are looking for home-made food. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Beccles.

my experience was pleasant from start to finish,we were greeted with friendlyness and a smile,this is quite rare these days .we had tea and teacakes ,nicely presented and a very comfortable room to sit in georgian i believe.so top marks we will be back.

I had the pot iof tea, tea cup was dirty but quickly replaced, I also had the cheese scone, which was too sweet to eat. I did not eat it and did tell the owner. Nothing done about it. Maybe one batch of dough was made for cheese and fruit scone.. no explanation made.

A group of us booked in for lunch after our last yoga session of the year today at this 'Souper' cafe....it may be small but its a hidden gem...particularly if you like homemade soup. It really is first class and very friendly and has an extensive menu as well as soup. We all really enjoyed it there was a great choice of four soups-I had the broccoli and stilton which was amazing, just the right consistency and delicious, it came with warmed bread. The others tried other varieties all of which were pronounced as really good too. We'll definitely be back after Christmas, a great place for coffee too.

Great little cafe. I had the honey roasted parsnip soup. Delicious. Must go back and try the other soups. Very clean cafe with friendly and helpful staff.

Hubby and I had lunch here today,bangers and mash and home made fish cakes and salad both meals were lovely, in fact the fish cakes were the best I have tasted!The staff were lovely and helpful and nothing was to much trouble and we will be returning!If you are ever in Beccles and are looking for some where warm and friendly which serves great home made food then pop into Soupa you will not be disappointed.

soupa is super. first class food at very good prices, I had battered chicken with chips, salad and chilli sauce. the service and food were excellent. Good luck to Paul with his café, try it you won"t be disappointed.
