As a mixed group of 20 people celebrating my wife’s 50th Birthday at the Saturday brunch, we had a really great afternoon. Amazing venue with really good food, free flowing good quality drinks served by friendly and attentive staff with a great atmosphere... couldn’t have asked for more. Did I mention the table magician and sax player? All in all it was unbelievably good value! (Loved my Char-Sui pork, but every single person who had the chicken burger said it was the best they have ever had… and there were some real chicken fans there lol)

Amazing service, the all three courses we had were insane. Perfect timing between courses, and perfect timing between staff asking if we needed anything. They had a saxophonist, a magician walking around and a live singer a bit later on in the evening that fitted in perfectly. I thought the prices were reasonable for 3 course meal for 3 people and cocktails, along with entertainment. Would recommend for any occasion whether it’s getting together with friends casually or a celebration.

We went on a Thursday evening, the restaurant wasn’t at capacity but still had a nice vibe, the staff, especially Sammie, went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and relaxed, the food was amazing and I don’t use that word lightly, top quality food, really generous portions, I’ve been to some of the so called top restaurants in London but this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time, reasonably priced for the quality of the food, I would only say I don’t if they needed the live singer, the playlist that was on before and in between her act was good enough to entertain, well done, first class 👌

After spending 3 hours in q e hospital was feeling hungry so decided to pop in for dinner never been in soulstreet before was pleasantly surprised by the decor the service was amazing and the food even better the venue is small but intimate very well laid out making the most of the space would recommend soulstreet to everyone

What a gaff. 9 of us went, all ladies yesterday. From the moment we walked in to when we walked out, outstanding, service, food, decor, entertainment the whole lot. It was that good I asked the staff for their names just so I could remember to mention them all. The great thing for me was, this is 10 minutes from my home. Normally you would have to go into London for what they offer here. Even down to the temperature was perfect. The food really was stunning, taste and presentation. So Kyle, Lucas, Harry Em’s and Sammie, big shout out to Sammie, proper looked after us as well as Lucas. And all the kitchen staff, Al, Chris and Henry. Top job. I mean they probs don’t remember us…… Thank you all for a great day. I look forward to the next time. Xxx

Was met at the door with a very warm welcome. Shown to our seats and offered drinks. This restaurant has it all, a lovely ambience and you haven’t got to get up to London by train To experience all it has to offer. Food delightful and plentiful and so well presented. Staff very helpful and friendly. We went for a family birthday and they bought over the cake etc. The singer (evenings) was great and did a smashing variety of songs.

Tonight was unreal and I can’t thank the staff, manager and dj even enough for making our meal for 12 couples as amazing as it was

Fabulous food and lovely decor. The evening was billed as Soul and Motown but unfortunately 70% of the music did not fall into this genre. Excellent service. Give it a go

I loved this place. The décor is really classy and such a nice atmosphere. Seriously impressive. The staff were outstanding and couldn't of made us feel any more welcome. The food was flawless, good portion size and nicely presented and above all, really delicious ! (beef bon bon starters are massive ! Pork belly main was divine) Nice mix of 80's soul classics (bangers) and soulful house being played all night by the resident DJ. My only gripe, and its a small one, is that I think £5.75 for a Schooner (half pint?) of beer on tap is a bit cheeky. If the bottles are 330cl for the same price, why is a half on tap the same price ? I'd read that it is considered expensive, but I thought it was priced right given the overall experience. We definitely got what we paid for and then some. Looking forward to going back. If the management read this post, please thank your wonderful front of house staff and the kitchen.

You need to go here for your next date night, you won’t regret it! It’s a unique dining experience with live entertainment (which was amazing) and amazing food! The food tasted so good and was so aesthetically pleasing. The staff were all so lovely and sweet, really making our experience worthwhile. Will definitely be returning here on my next date night🫶🏼

Finally got round to visiting Soulstreet and the fillet steak did not disappoint! Cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, can’t wait to return!

I had a great evening with my friends and the atmosphere was electric the live music by lewis was incredible. The cocktails were exquisite.

So happy to have this in Sidcup. I went for brunch with the girls and everything was amazing! Staff are friendly and attentive, the food is excellent and the vibe is great! We enjoyed a live singer and sax as well as a dj playing a mix of tunes the whole time. The cocktails are also amazing, even the barman performs a fire show! Feel very lucky to have this on my doorstep if you haven’t been it’s well worth a visit!

First time I’ve been to soul street I went yesterday 17th March for Sunday lunch with friends, we arrived at 1pm to be greeted by lovely friendly smiling staff who showed us to our table the service was amazing nothing to much trouble and throughout the day all the staff were very accommodating, filling up our wine glasses, checking if we needed or wanted anything. The restaurant was very warm and welcoming with comfortable seats high and low to suit everyone. We shared some starters and all had a mixed meat roast Dinner which was huge plenty to eat and hot. We ended up staying 8 hours eating, drinking and enjoying the live singers, we wasn’t rushed to get off the table so we we’re lucky as I’m not sure if you can only have the table for set hours in peek times so we took advantage of this as we hadn’t seen each other so we could have a good chat followed by coffee and dessert a fondue. I would definitely go back again and wouldn’t listen to negative reviews find out for yourself. And go The food and drinks was well priced for the area.

Tonight, I visited Soul Street in Sidcup. What can I say? I had booked this for my husband's birthday back in February, with the promise of a night filled with entertainment, live acts, and surprises. I have to admit that there were surprises, but not the ones we were expecting. Originally, our booking was for 8:30 pm, but it was changed to 6 pm a week later without any prior notice. Despite feeling that an earlier booking would be better, upon arrival, we found ourselves amidst a rowdy brunch crowd, which was quite confusing as to why we were asked to come at 6 pm while the daytime sitting was still ongoing. Our table turned out to be barstools placed on a table right next to the restaurant kitchen which was instantly disappointing, especially with an older relative in our party. Despite being told there were no other tables available due to other bookings, my husband and I reminded the staff that we had made the booking in February for his birthday, and the table felt more like a bar setting than a proper dining table. After a few discussions, the manager eventually seated us at a better table, for which we were grateful. However, after 30 minutes, we were asked to move to allow another party access to their table. Our table also shook a lot, adding to the discomfort. While the staff were lovely, Soul Street seemed to lack a clear identity. The promised entertainment turned out to be a man playing a saxophone with no additional features. The starters were average, and the main dishes were tasteless and overcooked. The chicken and lamb dishes lacked flavour, and the wagyu burger was disappointingly small, with the bun overshadowing the patty. The desserts were okay. The confusion at the end of the night over the bill added to the disappointment. The deposit money was not clearly indicated on the bill, leading us to leave the restaurant and then return to clarify that we had not overpaid. In conclusion, Soul Street appears confused about its identity, wavering between a bar, restaurant, or club. It has the potential to be amazing but is poorly executed and managed. I would not recommend or return to Soul Street. It was a total letdown for my husband's birthday celebration. Disappointing.

We had a fabulous experience at SoulStreet on Saturday night to celebrate our friend’s 50th Birthday. The food, service, atmosphere and entertainment were exceptional. We were a party of 12 and received a great welcome as soon as we arrived. It was a very busy night with a full venue but we all felt the staff were very much on hand, efficient and very happy to help - this definitely made for a great evening. Kitty needs a special mention she was superb and provided us with amazing customer service all night. We had a superb time and it was a great venue. We will most certainly be back. Thank you

Delicious upmarket food! Generous portions which are well presented. Food with a twist too! Highy recommended We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch. This is our third visit to this new, exciting restaurant. All the food is very high quality with roast potatoes to die for! The service is very friendly and attentive. An added extra is the live entertainment

This venue has put the “soul” into Sidcup. Locally there aren’t any venues that can offer what Soul Street can. Moodily decorated in an Art Deco style with high end food and live singers too. We had a roast dinner which was equal to any West End restaurant. The service was pleasant and efficient without being over bearing. Looking around there was a real mix of age groups; all enjoying the vibes. I know my food and have eaten in top rated hotels so I am confident in recommending Soul Street.. It is such a clever concept and I wish the new owners much success in the future.

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve been twice now, once with the girls for brunch which was fantastic - great value and brilliant entertainment. I took my family back on Sunday. We were a big party and was asked for a pre order which was totally understandable. One of our party arrived late and the staff were so understanding. The food came out and didn’t disappoint. The roast was the best I’ve had locally, actually even competes with roasts I’ve had in London. Accompanied with a live singer, nothing over powering! A really lovely atmosphere.

Yesterday was my second visit to Soul Street - the first time was the Saturday Brunch which was lovely - a fabulous singer with a great atmosphere. Yesterday was Sunday Lunch which was just as good. Food was amazing, another singer who got the crowd up, great atmosphere. A very welcome addition to the local area. Beautiful decor too..

Had a booking for 18 family members celebrating a birthday, meal was all pre booked from the menu and deposit paid. Arrived at the allotted time of 3pm for lunch, drinks order taken so far so good, one hour later still waiting for our starters, eventually turned up, plates not collected after food had been eaten and had to ask staff to clear the table, hour and half later still no main course being served, young children(3 and five years) getting hungry and parents asking when the food is coming, four meals arrived out of the eighteen pre-ordered with the remainder of the meals being served up 45mins later, by this time one member of the group had left in disgust at the service bringing the mood down on what should have been a joyous occasion. absolute appalling service.

Entered and the place was packed. Could not believe what a great vibe it was on Sunday. Live music was good and the background music in between was spot on creating a party atmosphere. Sunday roast was very good as usual for one of Joes venues. Can’t wait to book and go back.

We did the brunch here for my friends birthday and it was so good! The food was lovely compared to most brunch meals, atmosphere was really lively too they had a dj, magician etc. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a local brunch but this was better than some places up town I’ve been to honestly! I can’t fault the staff either they were so friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend especially for their brunch.

Came here for an afternoon brunch for a friends birthday! Brilliant atmosphere, good music, staff were lovely! One of waitresses got up to sing and had a beautiful voice! Magician was brilliant and singer got everyone up dancing! We all had good fun and weren’t rushed away from the table like you find with some brunches! Staff were really relaxed and attentive!
