Belated gin tasting experience here. Marvin our host for the evening was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and ensured we had a fantastic night. Staff very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Me and my girl came here for a drink and had to leave; the man serving was overly friendly and the drinks are not worth prices- £30 for a pitcher which we didn't order yet were charged for. Been known to go around with card machine and charge you for breathing air in the restaurant... Waste of money and wouldn't bother. Don't waste your time or money.

Visited during the bank holiday weekend with some friends. Poor customer service from the minute we walked in. The manager in particular was very rude. Wouldn't recommend.

Received homophobic abuse by clients in front of bar staff who did absolutely nothing, because they were spending money at the bar. Horrid place... will never set foot in it again

Vine aquí con un amigo para una clase magistral de Gin, fue comprado para mi amigo como regalo de cumpleaños a un precio razonable.Reservamos previamente y llegamos para nuestra reserva, nos sentamos y ofrecimos nuestra comida (que estaba incluida) antes de que comenzara la clase, también pedimos una bebida cada uno. Los cócteles estaban bien, un poco caro en mi opinión @ 12 cada uno, pero ambos disfrutamos. La comida consistía en un entrante de cuñas de patata y la principal era brochetas de pollo con papas fritas y ensalada. Es un poco raro tener papas fritas y papas fritas en 2 platos, pero no teníamos otra opción.Comenzamos nuestra clase magistral y lo pasamos muy bien, aprendimos los antecedentes de Gin, diferentes tipos, etc. Aprendimos a hacer 3 cócteles y nuestro maestro fue genial. Realmente amable y con ganas de reír que apreciamos.¡Toda la experiencia duró aproximadamente 2 horas y ambos lo pasamos bien!

Great atmosphere, drinks were amazing although they were a little too expensive for what they were (£10 for a regular sized Jack Daniels and coke), staff were very friendly and helpful.

La camarera volvió con nuestras bebidas unos minutos después.Por interés, le pregunté a mi amiga cuánto costaban las bebidas, dijo 20. Dije que no estaban destinados a ser 2 por 1. Así que le preguntamos a la camarera, después de un par de segundos de vacilación, ella dijo: "Oh, eso es si me lo piden, si van al bar a comprar sus bebidas, ¡paguen el precio completo!" Qué ridículo es eso.De todos modos, volvimos a nosotros mientras disfrutábamos de nuestro cóctel, que cuando habíamos visitado SO UK una vez antes, no podíamos comprar una sola bebida, teníamos que conseguir una doble.No volveremos, ya que claramente les gusta obtener lo que puedan de sus clientes.

The website promised a student atmosphere with student prices as well as free entry with a ticket. None of this was true. £5 entry and £10+ drinks. The bar staff were rude and snobby. Left after 15 minutes.

I've only just moved to Clapham so it was my first time in Souk but myself and my flatmates had an awesome night out! Staff were lovely, food was yummy, good range of cocktails on offer and the music was great. Will definitely be returning!

Entry is £5 and when you get in you are fighting for a table, the prices aren't too steep but the staff are not friendly especially the doorman/ entry fee taker? The music is okay but mainly beats bit of an odd vibe

Went to this bar for a friends birthday yesterday and normally have a great time here.

Open til late, friendly staff, good cocktails and Moroccan food in the afternoon-evening and quality DJs afterwards. We had a great night. This place is a must. P.G.

I am a regular customer from SO UK. I usually go every weekend because the staff are very friendly, the cocktails are delicious. Always the best DJ's with the best music. I love this place!!!!

First time I have visited this venue and I will certainly be returning! Attended with two other girls at the weekend for cocktails and a bite to eat, there were loads of cocktails to choose from, at 2 for the price of 1! and the Moroccan Mexe Food was extremely tasty!!! We ended up staying for the whole night as the bar got extremely lively... The music and atmosphere was next level! Particularly want to thank Joe and the two hostesses for looking after us all night!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Fuimos allí para mi fiesta de cumpleaños y lo pasamos genial. La comida marroquí mezze era delicioso y el personal en su mejor momento. También me encantó el hecho de que abre hasta muy tarde! ! ! Sin duda volveremos!

First time I have been in this bar and for sure it will be the last!Went here with 3 friends for some cocktails, wasn't too busy as it was a week day. The cocktails seemed a little overpriced but we ordered anyway, the bartender managed to mess up the cocktails got confused as to what cocktail was what, the whole process took around 15 minutes bare in mind we have only ordered 4 drinks. Finally we got our cocktails 1 of which was still wrong but we really couldn't be bothered to go over it again with the staff, we was then short changed we then had to wait even longer to get our right change.Very bad service! The staff don't have a clue what they are doing.

Visited this little gem of a place yesterday evening with some friends for some chilled out cocktails and the most amazing meze. Friends had cocktails - alcoholic and non alcoholic - chosen from the nicely put together cocktail menu. I chose wine from the short, but perfectly formed, wine menu. The waiting staff were fantastic and helped us choose a selection of meze; including the pigeon, which was incredible. We ate fairly early - 6 oclock, but the bar was still buzzing with lots of people having drinks at the front of the bar in the sunshine. Great bar, great meze, great service - recommended!

Dance floor is rubbish as right next to the bar so it was too packed. The toilets are mixed and I felt quite uncomfortable. No seats available at the bar so had to stand. I wouldn't go again anyway.

My friend and I were on the guest list and had booked a table in advance for NYE, however despite email correspondence confirming this they had somehow made a mistake and never booked us in. The staff were rude, unprofessional and condescending and ended up blaming us for their own mistake and said if we wanted to stay we'd have to spend a minimum of £70 each. Needless to say, we walked right out of there and managed to find a bar down the road who were more than happy to accommodate us! There are plenty of nice bars/restaurants in Clapham - don't waste your time on this one.

This place is no longer with open table! We booked an early table at 8pm for dinner and drinks but there was no reservation made- they said they do not work with open table anymore! So phone direct if you want to reserve. <br /><br />This place is clearly a club/bar and was completely empty most of the night, It got going at midnight. <br />The music was great and cocktails excellent, friendly staff too - just go somewhere else first to eat and go back there as a late venue. <br /><br />It&#039;s a shame as its a beautiful place and could really do a great early evening trade, with a more extensive food menu!! <br /><br /><br />Top table need to update there system.

SOUK LOVE to judge who they let in. I have been before for drinks and tapas, but would I bother going again... Nah.

One week they say "oh, you need to be in the guest list". The second time I pass by there they say "its 10pounds for guys". My mate rocks up later, and they tell him "oh, no single guys". The conversation that follwed went something like this: Door Boy: Its 10pounds or you need to make a reservation on the guestlistMate: I phoned and made a reservation. Dialled 020 7... option 1, then 2...Door Boy(panicked): Oh really, who did you speak to?Mate: I that a trick question? You leave a voicemail with your contact details, dummy!Dunce Bouncer: Guestlist....Mate: Can I speak to someone who knows whats going on please?Door Girl (rocks up late in convo): Which guest list are you on?..They have an agenda people. Be warned. The door staff and management are inept at hiding it.Anyway, I'm told Souk is not what it used to be... good DJs, but vibe and crowd is hit and miss. Mostly miss... So we all did. Loads more better bars down the road.

I visited SO.UK for the bank holiday for some drinks as friends were heading there. As soon as I arrived every member of staff greeted me and made me feel really welcome. The drink prices were reasonable for a bank holiday in Clapham and the DJ was awesome! I will definitely be coming back!

Came down from Birmingham for a Saturday night with a mixed group. Really well looked after by the management and door staff alike. Excellent table service, great cocktails, strongly recommend 'The Big Chal'! Been out in Clapham 4 times and this is easily the best bar with the best staff/management. The talent was quality too! Highly recommended!!

A couple of people have suggested this place...had such a fun night, amazing DJ, great drinks (especially the big Chal) and open really late. Would definitely recommend!!

Recently went here on a random Friday night with a group of friends and had the best time!! Music was great, drink prices were very reasonable and the staff were really friendly. Went to this bar in Clapham with some friends recently and had a great time.... cant understand all the negative reviews.. great music, reasonably priced drinks and a TOTALLY dreamy bar manager...

I hadn't been to the area before and was going to meet friends. Thought I got to the correct bar and paid £10 to get in. My friends across the road saw me go in and called me to say I was in the wrong place. I hadn't even entered the venue. I turned around to leave and asked politely if I could have my money back. The response was "This is a nightclub!" (If you have been here before you would agree that statement is debatable). Anyway apparently this was their way of saying NO! They admitted that they were well aware that I had not entered the building and was only through the barrier for about thirty seconds but was still told to "Do one!" Very rude, very unnecessary. AVOID!

On Sunday night I was unlucky enough to pop in into this pricey wannabe chic place with 6 six friends for a leaving party. Half staff seem high, no one knew how to do cash back. They charged different prices for the same bottle of beer to 2 of my friends. We bought some jagerbombs (after 10 minutes of pressure) that seemed weak and we then saw the bartender filling half the shot glass with a cheap energy drink and half jäger. From the tacky music to the environment, selling over priced drinks and the awful service, it made me ashamed to be a bartender myself.We will never come back again.

Came here for drinks one Saturday night with a friend. The place is fairly pricey, decor swish and clientele...less rah than typical Clapham, but more Essex.

Fantastic night, staff are really friendly and helpful. Cocktails were great and reasonably priced. The floor manager Mar (I think that's her name!) is brilliant and made sure we had a good night. Will definitely be going back.

I had a fantastic girls night out with my friends at SO.UK.The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was great and the music was also very good. Definitely coming back!!!

We were first told that the booking didnt exist and, upon production of the email, that (i) there were no tables available (the restuarant was empty, although all the tables had been reserved) and (ii) that the menu we had seen on Open Table was no longer available (Moroccan Mezze) - with the only option now being Thai Starters. In fairness, this is really an issue with Open Table&#039;s being out of date rather than with Souk but it was very clear that the lady would have preferred we just left (which we did) rather than trying to explain the change/get us seated.

Just been there for a drink, i was surprise they charge £10 at the entrance but it is what it is.Then i order 2 single rum and coke, the bar tender told me off. We are serving double only here. It should be aware that's illegal in Uk. By law you have to offer 25ml and 50ml measure for your spirits. When i ask for 2 tab water he gave me a face as football supporter have when they lose a game. Service was bad a year ago i gave it another chance, i won't come back.

This place need to be avoid!!! The worst bar in Clapham! Staffs are rude! Spanish manager more interested to show her self to bar staffs behind the bar instead to do her job! A few of us booked a table in November to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Firstly we was sat next to the awful smelling toilets and we was eating so not nice! Some of the food came out luke warm which wasn't very appetising. Service awfully slow. We ended up asking for the bill to move on else where. Service charge on the bill..paid it as couldn't be bothered to argue. After our night out an email was written explaining our issues. Apologies were given and we were invited back to have some drinks on them, nice thought until we got there. We booked our table for 8pm on Saturday and it wasn't very busy. We sat at our reserved table and got greeted by a very stern faced unfriendly waitress who asked if we was a walk in, explained we wasn't and got a couple of menus. 15 minutes later she returned to take drink orders..20 minutes later they finally arrived. By 9.30 we were still waiting with empty glasses to order more. The two stroppy waitresses were more interested in the group next to us, I presume this is because they ordered champagne. Going up to the bar to ask to speak to the manager I was ignored by both and then pushed out the way. Only once we had complained did we get any sort of acknowledgement. Such a shame as we would have happily returned if they had rectified the issues from the first time. Awful service once again. Much better bars and service in Clapham. Don't waste your time or money.

Went here for drinks and a bite to eat. Food was good and there was a great deal on wine and food but the place felt a little cold and clinical. I think it's trying to me minimal but comes across a bit club-y.

The girls and myself went there for a night out the cocktails where great it was very small so I would recommend to reserve a table but apart from that had a great night would defo go back again.

Booked this restaurant for a girlie get together after work for some cocktails and tapas as the restaurant accepts taste card. I had my booking confirmed, using taste card.<br /><br />I arrived at the restaurant stating my name and tastecard booking, we were smiled at and seated, then she came over 10 mins later and said &quot;actually, sorry we don&#039;t accept taste card anymore&quot;. We thought this was strange as we&#039;d just discussed it, but anyway, looked at the tapas menu and put our order in. Then she looked us with a blank look and said, sorry we don&#039;t actually serve tapas...In fact they now serve Thai, bought from down the road and delivered.<br /><br />Staff had no idea what was going on and we were the only people in there, so no ambience at all.<br /><br />Strange place!

SOUK has a great atmosphere however, it's a small place hence, don't expect a dance floor etc.The drinks and service is very good.The staff (including door staff) are polite and friendly.It's local to where I live but one of those places I go back to again and again

We found this restaurant almost by accident but were so glad we did. We had excellent tagines and very acceptable wine at very reasonable prices. The service was a little over-intense before we had ordered but then became the opposite. However, it did mean we could enjoy our food in peace. If we are in the Seven Dials area again we are sure to return.

spent a nice evening there on Thursday. Met a friend in Clapham and was going to this bar for a drink first (been before) and then we were going to find a restaurant nearby (not difficult as there are so many in Clapham). SOUK had a promotion on Moet &amp; Chandon so we bought a bottle and tapas and ended up staying there. Although it is a bit pricey, in my view it's worth spending that little bit extra as you get really very good tapas there, nice atmosphere, clever lighting and interior design, all quite relaxing. The food was excellent, lamb, smoked salmon...good service, nice music and not too loud so you can hold a conversation. Only criticism, no Wifi - surprising in a place like that.

A tapas restaurant that transforms into a night club late night. Even at 50% off, I wouldn&#039;t say that the food was a good value. The atmosphere was interesting, kind of a modern middle eastern vibe. There are much better tapas restaurants in the area and a better value for the money. If you are looking for a lounge that happens to have small plates then this would be a good option, but certainly not a dinner destination.

It was fine, limited menu though, just a few Tapas really but what we had was quite nice.

We visited SOUK for after work drinks; it was outstanding value with the TT deal on food and the happy hour cocktail prices. The woman who was looking after our table was very attentive and pleasant. The portions of food are extremely small, even for tapas dishes but tasty and the cocktails were great. The total bill was super cheap and the quality of the food and drinks weren&#039;t compromised at all because of this. Overall, a very good drinking/dining experience :-)

Stumbled into this restaurant by accident, my husband and I were so hungry and after trying 2 other restaurants that were either too busy or serving a thanksgiving special menu we went into so.uk not expecting much.The mood was a bit weird and service slow but the FOOD!!!! Amazing quality, really blew our minds, we are foodies and every single dish that came out was beautiful, the battered halloumi was crunchy and salty and all manor of wonderful, the peanut chicken was perfectly cooked, golden on the outside and moist on the inside, the tuna was unreal.. Just left me wanting more and the slow cooked lamb had just a hint of Moroccan flavour without being overwhelming, a modern twisting the dish. We are so happy we discovered this beautiful little secret place and can't wait to introduce it to all our friends. Love it when you discover something new before anyone else does. The chef should really be proud of what comes out of his kitchen, I wanted to personally congratulate him, First time that has ever happened, and I'm used to eating at Zuma and sushi samba, Hakasan and the like.

A friend and I came across this bar/tapas fusion place by accident and liking the sound of the tapas we went in without booking on a Friday night, The friendly waitress found us a 'reserved' table - funnily enough every table was reserved but plenty remained empty for at least an hour. They aren't tables designed for eating off..... very low coffee table style so not the easiest, Fine if you are just having drinks I guess although I prefer not to bend down to pick up my drink. It was Happy Hour(s) but we wanted to eat so chose a bottle of wine for a tenner over the cocktails and then perused the menu.We ordered a selection of tapas,,,,,,,,Iberico pork and foie gras burgers - Very disappointing indeed. They were bland and strangely tasteless and I couldn't even get a hint of a foie gras flavour. I expected much more. The bun was good.Tortilla with Sweet Potato and Spanish Chorizo - Tortilla itself was well made and presented. There was too much sweet potato and not enough Chorizo so the whole effect was rather like eating a sweet omelette with potato. It needed seasoning.Crispy fried calamari with aioli = soggy limp calamari with a little badly adhered batter and mayonnaise.Battered halloumi with tartare sauce - Not bad but tartare sauce was the wrong sauce to have with the already salty dish. A chilli dip would have gone down well.Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna with Wasabi and Ginger Soy Dressing - Sheer perfection. A beautifully chosen cut of tuna, perfectly cooked and presented. Had we only eaten that we would have been in heaven. The waitress was very helpful and friendly but the food arrived sporadically or too much at one time. I'd recommend it just for the tuna and had I been going for cocktails with a group of friends I'd have been more than happy with the service, music and choice of cocktails on offer.

Work Xmas party booked in again for the 2nd year running! I cant wait for another great night in Dec. Great new food menu!

So this place is a great little late night bar and the staff are great but it's incredibly expensive and you really do need to watch your wallet here. Drinks start from around £10-15 (if youre on cocktails) and it can escalate quickly! Saying that this doesn't stop me being a regular visitor. Haven't tried the food yet but intend to soon

Having stepped out of Adventure Bar as the music was too loud and of bad taste, we were wondering towards the very busy Clapham Common area in search for a place that serves cocktails AND beer.This bar has a bit of strange vibe going on. It looks like it's trying to be modern, hip and cool with a Moroccan twist. The waitresses were all wearing very short skirts and deep necklines.But its is a rather nice spot with a cocktail happy hour, which also includes the beer and a relaxed atmosphere. We didn't have the food, which by the looks of it was more nibbles and not a proper meal. Anyhow the seats were too low to have a comfortable meal.

I went to souk and i had a Lovely time! I highly recomend this venue especially for private parties as the service and the music are really good!

Ok so it has good decor and the atmosphere is uplifting, though that's where the good points stop. The girl on the door with the lack of personality is quite rude, and the music is to loud to even order your drinks, which oddly enough seem to change in price each time you order a drink. Food does look nice and seems to be well priced, unlike the cocktails which are 50% ice.

This is not a restaurant, it is a bar with some surprisingly good food! Great service and fantastic with the 50% off! Our wine was on a promotion so worth asking before ordering as to which wine is on offer or cocktails! The leaf wrapped beef was fab!

SO.UK has a very nice feel when you walk in, with a sort of eastern/Thai look, very modern with dark woods, leather sofa, good lighting etc.<br /><br />The food menu is small, which is not a problem, but then to be told some of the items were not available, make the menu tiny!! Souk Clapham was a lovely chilled out place with attentive and friendly staff and delicious food. Portions a little on the small side but that might be down to sheer greed on my part. Would definitely go again :)

Arrived at Souk in Clapham for dinner with friends on a fri nite. We were asked to &quot;pick a table&quot;.....didnt realise it was more of a bar that a restaurant when booking it. Arrived at Souk in Clapham for dinner with friends on a fri nite. We were asked to &quot;pick a table&quot;.....didnt realise it was more of a bar that a restaurant when booking it. The food was lovely but platters were seriously over priced! If you decide to go here use a tastecard so you can enjoy the limited menu at a reasonable price.

forgot how great this place is! I hadn't been for a while but will be going regularly now! the music was great and the bartenders are right on the mark with their cocktail making skills!the food was really good. I didn't come to eat but once i saw some food come out for someone else i had to order some.the place just has this great vibe. it seems to fit every mood too; there were a couple of tables having a chilled out catch up over a bottle of wine and some food and also people dancing and partying by the bar.there was some great offers earlier on in the night too!looking forward to going back soon!

Very crowded and very expensive! Don't expect to find a seat or to move more than the odd centimetre at a time as door staff don't know when to stop letting a potentially unsafe number of people in. Be careful of what you're being given as the noise makes it difficult for the bar staff to hear - not that they seem that bothered! Nice North African influenced decor. Perhaps better as an early evening pop-in.
