It’s open all night which is amazing!

Same issue with every costa and why I only get coffee there if I'm desperate but... so weird they pour your espresso shots after pouring the milk into the cup. Is that how costa trains their baristas? You're meant to pour milk over the coffee otherwise what's the point frothing it, you lose most of the foam.

The lady at the counter double charged me.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. It’s always a cloud of confusion waiting to get a coffee. Usually only one of the three tills being used, but no idea which one. There’s loads of people stood around waiting but it’s not clear if they’ve been served or not. There’s always plenty of staff, but it seems that they mostly are poorly trained, and no one has created a system to direct people paying and then waiting for coffee/food. Save yourself the bother and just buy a coffee from the machine in M&S next door. Much quicker, no stress, and nicer coffee.

I visited for 1 week as i was in hospital. Is very very busy. Is a mess place. Around 7-12 staff working behind and still is a mess. Most of them are lost. Not trained and they don’t know what to do. The bins to throw the rubbish is like you need a lesson to learn when you pay for the food and the place you have to separate even the rubbish in different place and one of the is with massive I metal you have to push hard. The words ( thank you,sorry) not existing there. Very bad management. Sorry Still going there One of the best from the worst

Tgey serving old pastry and the late was burning when i asked the lady behind the bar bout pastry i told her the pastry is old from yesterday shes said yes i have never seen that in costa or eny other coffe shop selling old croissant if was other cack maybe but filo pastry like croissant pain choc shoulnt keep for next day

I went to hospital with one of my friend appointment while he was with doctors two of us went to this Costa in side of hospital and ordered two latte and some panini first staff took very long to process our order then the coffee we received after 15 minutes of our order was one of the worse latte I ever had in my life I think Costa is not spending money on staff training and not trained them how to make coffee this was not fair if you spent more than £ 15 and other hand you don’t get what you want this is totally ripped off Costa must pay attention on their staff training and teach them how to serve customers and produce accurate coffee really disappointed

Just a medium white Americano. Barristers slow, chatting away amongst each other and then confusing customers with their orders. To top it, showing irritation with customers who were responding. I am a loyalty card customer so know how a well run Costas rolls. This one needs management input and training.

Some friendly feedback Queuing system is a bit confusing Means people take coffee that is not there’s Causes lots of confusion and takes a bit longer than maybe it should Think it could be re-thought - maybe take peoples names for orders? Otherwise you guys are very friendly thanks

Bought a coffee and i started walking out of shop and i realised it was cold so i took it back and they replaced it will no apology at all. The coffee tasted terrible and i had to throw it away. I went back the next day to buy coffees for the family and none of us could drink them as they tasted horrible. We have had costa lots of times before in london which has been nice, speaking to a staff member at the hospital they said the costa in the hospital has a bad reputation. The area manager should do something about this.

I nornally dont like their ciffee. I just buy it because of convenience. But hats off to the 2 guys working at the till/coffee today. Amazing teamwork.

When your up in A&E avoid getting a hot chocolate from Costa , especially early hours of the morning , taste like water and chocolate all stuck at the bottom of the cup. Never again and staff was busy chilling in the back …. Poor standards

The staff by name KHANLIEQ is very disrespectful to BLACK customers in my view,very RUDE,ARROGANT and worst of all a RACIST. HE gave us the wrong food,refused to apologise but rather started acting all mighty and superior and screaming at us instead. SHAMEFUL!!!

First time I have been to this Costa, and it was as good as the rest.

I work in St thomas hospital and I always go to Costa to buy my breakfast rap although the prices keep going up,I love it so much.On several occasions I have been attended to by the very nice ,kind staff who serve me with a beautiful smile.Although the prices are going up for some items,I still go back to buy because of their great customer care.Ayesha Zaidi,Usama,Ameen and Amal have really stood out on all occasions and I feel like their lovely smiles and great support make the whole experience soo beautiful.Please keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen 🥰But about the prices kindly maintain the original price for my breakfast rap that's all 😆

Fantastic, friendly staff despite being constantly rushed off their feet, great coffee, tables are kept clean and there's some nice comfy seats if you get lucky

Is a big and busy place, but have lot variety of food.

This is the worst Costa I have ever visited. It takes a long time to order and it's a long wait for your coffee. There are lots of staff but they are either standing around not doing anything or shouting at each other. Those who are actually working work very hard. If you can find somewhere else for coffee go there in preference.

Large costa in a busy hospital where people are often in a rush… one would think that’s obvious. Took 15 mins to make a coffee, even though there were 5 people making drinks. Never saw anyone move so slowly.

With 9 people visible behind the counter the service is shocking! I had an hour to kill before visiting I didn't expect 25mins of it to be just waiting. Food presented wasn't cut, the drink given to me had more mango on the outside of the cup than inside (which as a result I'm now wearing).

The costa coffee kept its standards. The food was awesome and had everything served in professional way. The customer service was impressive and impeccable. The place was crowded but that is justified as this is preferred place by anyone for a quick snacking.

Honestly the worst, slowest costa I’ve ever been to. Obviously being in a hospital they get packed, you’d think they would learn to work faster but no. It’s not for lack of equipment they are just SLOW. 3 staff early on a Wednesday morning it wasn’t that busy yet 2 staff members making one drink the other walking around with no clue what they are doing and no one serving. To top it all he took my order down wrong and I didn’t get the drink I asked for. Huge improvements needed.

Slowest Costa with the worst made drinks. Definitely not open 24 hours. Overnight frequently closed with servers sleeping around the corner and no other food/drink options. Can we please get the old AMT back?

I visited Costa coffee at St Thomas hospital, and ordered a breakfast wrap with an orange juice. The server heated the wrap for me. And it was really bland and piping hot. There was some ketchup, some bacon and some sausage with some eggs. None of these ingredients were of good quality and had any taste. It looked like the breakfast canned food you can buy for 1 pound. Plus the food was so hot, I burnt my mouth trying to take a bite. Once I cooled down I realized it didn't have any taste.

Visited a few time and have noticed since one of the team leaders Sophie has left the service and store it’s self has gone down hill

Me and the barista at night and it literally takes 10 min to get my coffee! And the coffee is so bitter and burnt you’d question your decisions that resulted in you waiting 10 min in the middle of the night for that distasteful coffee!

everytime i hope they've improved, only to be shown that its a porly run place. staff are friendly but have no idea hownto operate a large and very busy coffee shop. such a shame. **update** visited today 3rd may. still same. waiting 20mins for a cortado.

A very busy Costa, being within the hospital. I did visit around 4pm, not many sandwiches remaining of non meat varietie. Recommend them to stock up more on this as this is popular range. Polite staff, possibly think of more seating arrangements as many people could not find seats.

Staff are slow and incompetent. The previous coffee show, AMT, was so much better and they had less staff.

This Costa is a joke, so disorganised. The manager on duty should be ashamed. I waited 20 mins for a tea. While someone else came and got a tea straight away. How hard is it to make a cup of tea? They need to do a naming system like Starbucks, the current system does not work.

We are staying at Mariott across the street on b&b basis. Costa at St Thomas's ensured us that they will have plenty of food and drinks available and they are open nonstop over Christmas. Including 25th. They never close. That's great, as everything around is shut.

Very busy cafe but gets quieter after 6pm.

Order took so long to come through and the bins were full. Plenty of places to sit and their bacon bap and hot chocolate tasted nice.

There were fruit flies all over the pastries, ordered a Toblerone hot choc for my daughter who was in Evelina at the time and it had a layer of oily sludge at the top. I just threw it straight in the sink. Absolutely disgusted, won't be visiting this Costa again.

Very poor, no one knows where to stand or where to order. The wait times are way to long.

Staff are very friendly and they do have to put up with some difficult customers. Only half of the tills are ever open and there never seems to be enough staff to deal with a mad rush. A lot of people give up and go next door to m&s which seems to have a faster paced turnaround. Good coffee though!

They don’t accept e-gift card, the barista informed me that this is franchise and we don’t accept e-gift card, only in costa company, I was wondering where I will get costa company 😂 what a joke..

I know it's a very busy location but wasn't very busy at the early time I was in there and service is very slow. Most Batista's try to make 2-3 drinks at once to speed along the process but they didn't seem to be doing this most of the time. Also, order of service for drinks wasn't seemingly happening so not sure what was up there. Tables with power along the wall very much appreciated! 👍

The service is pretty slow for a high traffic area, very disorganised staff and the food is sub par. Ordered a Tuna melt that contained the tiniest slither of Tuna and a chai latte that tasted more like pumpkin spice

Had two bad experiences with this branch of Costa. Staff are slow to serve you, the cashier threw my change at me, and then I had to wait at least ten minutes for my drink. When it did arrive and I took it I was called back and they said it wasn’t mine! They gave it to a man who had arrived in the shop much later than me. Avoid at all costs!

Incredibly slow. Stood for numerous minutes with several others at a till. Eventually asked staff who told me they weren't serving there.

Why this costa is closed at night when its the only place close to wait at for hours until my train i don't know, the employee inside avoids my eye contact and ignores me very clearly trying to get his attention. Disappointed is an understatement.

This is basically "One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest" does Coffee. A surreal, drawn out experience on every visit. There's always a confused member of staff yelling out a coffee that no one actually ordered. Avoid if possible.

Staff not efficient possibly discriminatory against me, was 1st to order my hot chocolate but they made 5 drinks to 5 separate customers before making mine. Can only think it was my colour as I was the only non white. Did not even get an apology when given my drink.

I gave this place multiple chances and it is a pity I cannot give negative stars. Taking a break to grab a coffee made me more stressed. Staff do not know how to use the cash registers or the coffee machines. Making patients queuing again and again. I gave up going there and just use the local coffee places.

The place has been open for a while now but it is still just pure chaos. The staff behave like they've never done this job before or even been trained properly. Expect a long wait, an incorrect order, and disappointment. The manager should be sacked (if there even is one).

Slow and incompetent staff. Stopped for a coffee and regretted it. About 5 mins after I sat down a fire alarm started going off. Been sat here listening to it for about 20 mins now and everyone is just carrying on as if its normal!

Staff are slow, unorganised, don’t know their own products and no respect/understanding that they work inside a NHS hospital. Service Users are unclear where to queue, as members of staff are gossiping and larking around behind most of the counters, acting like teenagers. I have had my order taken by the same person during both my visits, 6 months apart. After several issues, I was told he was in training both times. He didn’t know the sizes of cups, or what “Chai”, “blueberry” or “muffin” meant or that Costa sold them. Then needed help by two other staff members to place a “muffin” to the order, and a third to get a muffin as he didn’t know what it looked like. During my recent visit, I was asked to step in to help the person in the queue before me. The customer was Hearing Impaired, wearing two hearing aid. The server didn’t understand this and kept turning away from the gent when he spoke to him. The customer looked embarrassed and almost walked away - I can hear, but struggled several times to catch that the server was asking if he wanted milk in his latte. To my left an elderly woman on crutches was sent to three different counters, and then the server was laughing with coworkers. The woman struggled to make her order. As I waited for my order, which arrived wrong, another gent was getting very annoyed as his order was completely wrong and kept being asked to pay again to add items and being sent to different counters. Even then his order arrived completely wrong. This was blamed on staff members making food for themselves, for some reason this meant that customers orders were wrong. Even with queues full of people with walking aids etc, 5 members of staff who were meant to be working stood to the side dancing around behind the counter. They ignored customers walking over and then asking if anyone wanted to make an order. During both my visits, the manager needed to jump onto tills to correct the many mistakes and each time said the person who did wrong were in training. The same people where in training 6 months prior. This teams needs structure, training on Costa products and needs to understand they are serving Service Users within a hospital. Users of this Costa are visiting a hospital. They may have been given bad news, visited a loved one on a ward or in pain. This Costa is a pitstop, or a break. A place for reflection or relief. When holding it together, something as silly as getting the wrong order or unnecessary stress ordering a coffee can be a breaking point. This Costa needs to respect this and know it is more than just another high street coffee shop. I hope this review is considered for improvement.

Unbelievably slow service, always very chaotic. It would be faster to walk to Waterloo station and back for your coffee

This is the worst service, they are slow and the coffee is terrible

This place is a complete disaster. The service is extremely slow, disorganized and the staff are incompetent. On one occasion I ordered an americano but received a Latte. Another time I ordered a chai latte which tasted disgusting. PLEASE retrain staff or hire more experienced staff. This coffee shop is in a busy hospital.  Hospital staff do not have time to wait forever.  This place is advertised as opening 24hrs, however some nights it is open, and on other nights it is closed. What a mess !!

Worst Costa Coffee in the whole London, Service is super slow, staff are NOT PROFFECIONAL!!!!! All the time they are talking with each other, they are using their phone in front of the customers, they are sitting on the chairs when customers could be using, manager doesn't even use their uniform. I used to work for Costa a while back and everything they aren't supposed to be doing, they are doing!!!! Coffee is not done by Brand Standers!!!!! At one point they were 9 barista behind the bar and they didn't know which drinks they had to do for customers!!!!!!! I even had to ask if my coffee was coming as I didn't see any of the 9 baristas making it and the drinks they were making people had to ask for those drinks and they were the wrong drinks!!!!!! This Costa I felt like the people that are working in there, are people playing coffee shop (like the kids) instead of being there to work!!!!! Very Bad Service, I feel sorry for all the hospital workers that need their drinks really quick when they have very limited time on their breaks!!! FYI: For more than 10 years that I worked for the company in over 30 stores and I never seen a Costa functioning this bad!!!!!! NEED'S NEW MANAGERS AND BARISTAS!!!!!

Been there twice and never again, both visits I had to wait over 5 minutes for a latte. It was not even busy, staff lack speed, efficiency and enthusiasm. Plus St Thomas staff don't even get a discount! Avoid at all Costs! Viva la Pret a manger!

Checked this out in their first week of opening and waited 20 mins just to be served. Came back after few months to see any improvement and unfortunately there is none. I went at 715am thinking I’d have coffee for 730am handover but 10 mins later and I’m still in the queue - went to m&s instead and got served within 3 mins. Staff still looked as confused as before and they don’t seem to understand how hospital staff are always in a hurry as we don’t get a lot of break time at work.

Worst coffee I've ever tried in a costa shop, the service is extremely slow for no reason. They need to teach the employees how to prepare properly the coffee, the quality is unacceptable.

World's worst coffee shop! Rude, incompetent staff. My colleague and I were completely ignored this morning, we ended up leaving. I just want a coffee surely that's not too much. Quicker to fly to Colombia & learn how to roast coffee myself!

Non stop queue,prices don’t match counter and what’s in the system. So you’re ending up paying more.

As a staff member you would need 2 hours break to be able to order and drink a coffee. It’s very embarrassing how disorganised this place is and how incompetent people are. Most of the customers here are in a rush and this service is not acceptable

4 tills…only 1 open ever. Closes at night for some reason when meant to be 24 hours. Staff appear inexperienced and are very slow. On average it takes 15 minutes to get one drink. Quicker to walk to Starbucks

Terrible place. Waited 15 minutes to get served. Staff all arguing with each other and avoiding eye contact with customers. Finally, my cappuccino was barely warm with no froth - like dirty dishwater.
