Awful, used to love this for breakfast, a friend said it wasn’t good and she was right. The food was tasteless and the eggs in the shaksuka were rock hard. The French toast disappointing and the coffee so weak. Wont be going there again- quite sad really as used to be reliable goid food.

Located just west of the Festival Hall this is a handy place to stop for a coffee and snack. Friendly helpful staff, very nice soya latte. Recommended.

We eat here all the time in Paris but the staff in Marleybone were rude and made us feel like a burden to be there. Not customer service oriented at all. My daughter threw away her iced chai tea latte because she said it tasted like vomit. Never going back in London!

So glad we decided to grab a quick coffee after train journey! Such a lovely busy cafe! Gorgeous coffee, fabulous service and atmosphere and the BEST brownie I’ve ever had!!!!!! x

Had food here following train journey to Waterloo. I had the brunch with smoked salmon....didn't want the meal to end, everything was perfect. Although it was busy the staff were friendly and attentive....thank you

Tried to have lunch there today. I arrived at 2 the restaurant was half empty I waited at least 15 minutes to be seated the area at the front a long bar had at least ten staff all chatting amongst themselves no one paying attention to customers . Was finally seated and given a menu . I had to wait another ten minutes before what I assume was a manager tried to take my order however I wanted smoked salmon and they had run out ( how can a restaurant run out is smoked salmon) . ??decided to have a glass of wine whilst I was looking at the menu then ordered another 15 minutes went by still no wine I asked a waitress she was so rude then another she was even ruder , so I just left never again and this use to be such a nice place . Whilst I was waiting I noticed lots of people coming to the till asking. For different things ie the bill a waitress to take an order, complete shambles.

We went here for lunch. We were not given a menu when we sat down at the table. When we ordered the food took a long time to come. I ordered coffee which the waiter said he would bring after the main course. It didn't come, and I had to ask twice to get it finally after a delay. My wife had a salad that was supposed to have hot smoked salmon, It didn't. It had cold unsmoked salmon. Then every meal comes with bread and butter. Two slices of brown bread and a piece of french bread. My lunch included a croissant anyway (this was also a poor imitation of the real thing). Neither my wife or I wanted the bread. I feel sure many people do not eat it or eat only a part of it, so the food waste in this place must be terrible. But it is the poor service that make me rate this restaurant only two stars.

I've been here with friends and we had a great time! excellent food and particularly attentive staff And friendly! Definitely we will be back!

Visiting The London Film Festival I found this gem and was truly delighted. The Staff managed by "Lady" she assured me her real name without a shadow of a doubt excellent and they made the visit so much more. I had a waffle which was delicious and one of the best capuchinos I have had in years. I would definitely visit again and so should you as will have a great time.

Very average breakfast. The croissant was cold, butter frozen, jars of jam sticky and the tea weak. The waitress was a little surly and people were having to prompt for service despite it being a quiet Monday morning.

I am at work & ordered my girlfriend birthday breakfast this morning as she is in isolation due to having recently had treatment for thyroid cancer I wanted to do something special for her and what has turned up is stone cold & with missing items! The Prosecco is not even in the bag! What disgusting service. the only thing she has been able to have is the apple juice this has ruined her day!

Visit on southbank location on our trip to London, had lemon chicken which they removed the couscous to make it gluten free, my mum is in a electric wheelchair and her batteries was dying we don't live local to london and needed to be able to get back to London Paddington to get our train home, they were kind enough to let mum charge while we had our food, very nice people

I paid 15 pound for what essentially was a few bits of bread with Parma ham and mozzarella which weren't that great and then ordered a peach ice tea which tasted worse them medicine and undrinkable I expect to spend more in London but ended up paying 40 quid for a meal I could of made better at home

My husband and I stopped here for a quick breakfast on a recent trip. We had cappuccinos and chocolate and almond croissants. They were okay, but nothing special.

I met a friend for lunch here on a Friday. We ordered the chicken focaccia, the crab tartine, a coffee and a juice. When the food came the tartine was 4 tiny triangles of bone dry rye bread with a tasteless scraping of crab topping. My friend’s focaccia was fine and huge in comparison! I sent the tartine back (which is something I never do) and asked to have the focaccia instead. Twenty five minutes later I was still waiting for my food, our waitress shouted over to see if I’d had it which I then responded to with no. When my friend went to the bathroom he went to ask our waitress about it but before he could speak she turned and abruptly said ‘yes I know, your friend is still waiting for his food’. About ten minutes later my food arrived which tasted ok, by that time I was pretty hungry anyway. There was no check to see if the food was ok. We had to signal to ask for the bill and it came. It was only then we were asked if everything was ok but it was too really as we were paying!We were there just under two hours in total for two sandwiches and two drinks and paid £18 each including service! The service was poor and we didn’t feel looked after at all. The food wasn’t that great after all the waiting either to be honest.

Stopped for a quick drink and snack, staff very patient as we had to wait for one of our guests to arrive, also cheerful considering it was raining and we were sat outside.

Ordered drinks, almond milk coffee, flat white, peach tea for the kids. Let me first point out that one of us is not milk/lactose intolerant but actually has an allergy to dairy so we were quite clear that the coffee with almond milk had to be almond milk. What arrived was clearly dairy milk. Luckily I had tasted for my wife before she drank anything and we were able to send it back. Next up is the kids peach tea, over brewed l/stewed rook is tea with a splash of peach syrup that didn’t mix as it was added cold rather than hot and then cooled. This tasted of medicine with peach snot in it. This went back. My flat white was tepid this went back. Then we had a 15 minute wait until the order was re-sorted and brought to the table, no apology, no nothing. Sort yourselves out Le Pain! Allergies are not a minor thing, attention to detail is important, good customer service is essential.Not worth visiting or spending money here.

We visited for afternoon coffee and cake. No welcome from the staff, told to sit wherever we wanted, handed a menu and left waiting for 15 minutes before someone came back to take our order. Two cake choices had run out so a scone was ordered but requested with butter only, no cream or jam. After a long wait, it was presented with cream and jam! We sent it back with a very disgruntled waitress who then brings two bowls piled high of wrapped butter (for one scone!) I think she was making a sarcastic point. Coffee arrives cold! We send it back. Wait 10 minutes and still no replacement coffee, we have to get up and ask. A rude waitress said it was being made, no apology. Brought it back and may as well have thrown it at us! No saucer with it. Serving staff seem to congregate around the till area chatting. This is the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I am surprised it is still open. I would have thought the financial crush on hospitality during lockdown would have driven forward the desire to be even better. Surely the management of this establishment reads reviews or are they arrogant enough to ride on the wave of the general public’s happiness to finally be able to eat out again, whilst basking in the bare-faced cheek of offering substandard food and despicable customer service, in the hope we will just accept it. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY! If you do go there and the service is appalling, remember to take off the automatically added service charge.

We entered via the square to the inside of the place. The staff initially ignored us and then were quite blunt when we asked if we could sit anywhere, which we didn’t find very welcoming. We were shown to a table squeezed in between other tables even though there were plenty of empty tables with a bit more space around them. Staff took quite a while to come back and serve us, but by this point we didn’t feel the price of the place was worth the service and so we left.

Unfortunately this morning we had a very disappointing brunch here which was overpriced and the service was poor. The scrambled eggs were dried up and the bacon very salty indeed. Go elsewhere.

Wouldn't say it was busy, but had a steady flow and I would say ideal working conditions for waiting. Not rushed off your feet. Was seared after short wait. Ordered two salads, one chicken ceaser, one salmon. Drinks arrived and cutlery was set. Noticed something on my fork. Wiped it with my napkin - bird dropping. Had these changed. No saucer or tea spoon for my wife's tea - had to use knife butt to stir. 35 min later, no salad. Complained salad arrives. No sourdough bread. Complained it also arrived. Food was OK, not outstanding but it was OK - standard. Service was rubbish and kitchen appears it can't cope with steady flow - god knows what busy service would be. The only quick and efficient part of the service was the bill and 10% service charge. Really need to improve (and please don't use covid as an excuse - getting bored of that one)

I visited this morning with my husband and two children. They were really excited to have brunch. What a terrible experience. I had avocado on toast - it was disgusting. A tasteless green slime. My daughter had the breakfast bap and despite being hungry, left it. It was cold and unappetising. Clearly there was no chef in the kitchen. All the food had been cooked the day before. It cost £60!!! What a compete rip off. Save your money.

First time in my life I’ve not eaten my meal nor my son. The food was inedible. I ordered avocado which tasted of nothing but limes and was awful. We both left our breakfasts and the waiter just cleared the plates away without even asking what the problem was. It’s just a tourist trap without any customer service. £25 for our breakfast and all we consumed was a cup of coffee And glass of water! Worst meal ever!

Felt like we were sat on a cobbled street abroad in France or Italy. Beautiful atmosphere and buzz. Definitely will come again next time I go to London

Couple of days ago me and my friends went for lunch in Le pain quotidian at Waterloo and we had nice experience. The salmon sandwich was delicious and I really enjoyed the massive glass of beer. My friend order a quiche but wasn’t really enjoyable because it was cold. Also I would like to say thank you to the young lady that she recommended us the food and she offer us a small dessert apologising for the cold dish.We will come back!!

Visited this cafe by myself, I received excellent service from staff. I ordered scrambled egg with bacon it was so fresh. There was about an half an hour wait for food but it was busy so it was understandable was such a good little find in London. Would definitely go again.

Your usual Pain Quotidien - lots of seating, good coffee, nice lunch options. It was clean and relatively empty, altough the QR code scanning at the entrance is causing some crowding as people are not ready/aware that they will have to do that.

Le Pain Quotidian is a second tier chain restaurant offering reasonably decent breakfast, brunch and lunch options in the French cafe style. When served, at the correct temperature, in a timely fashion, the food is great, and the Southbank location a huge plus on a nice day. It is then a pity it appears to be staffed on a Sunday by bewildered students, confused and befuddled by the simplest of service tasks, screwing up at every turn. The forms for people without the NHS app caused one Millennial an anxiety attack, delaying entry. They retreated into their safe space inside, which seems to where most of the staff hang out, presumably to avoid being overwhelmed by the emotional burden of contact with customers . We were directed to a dirty table, and had to remind staff after a ten minute wait it that it needed clearing. This took a further five minutes as staff became distracted by other tasks, or perhaps sunlight reflecting on the Thames. Once cleaned I was fortunate to order a coffee early, avoiding a further delay, although the coffee itself was a somewhat sad affair. Weak and insipid, it may once have had contact with a bean or two, it was now suffering from long COVID. Which may also explain the energy levels of the front of house team. The food when it came was alright. Bar the stone cold scrambled egg. It’s tricky to get eggs on toast wrong. Team LPQ Southbank succeeded. The meal was briefly interrupted by a perfunctory inquiry as to whether all was well. We smiled. No issues here that couldn’t be fixed by a day of training, or selective decimation. But, that might involve the chain taking more of interest in their service experience rather than relying on an inexperienced team.The tap water was great.

We went out with my friend in Le pain quotidien in South bank for a quick drink and a snack unfortunately they didn’t had the drink what we ordered but our waitress Anna offered use something what she recommended to use was really nice and the food what we order was also great we saw they were understaffed but Anna managed the situation by herself very good and gave use a great service would recommend the place and I’m definitely gonna come back.

Durante una tarde fría, fui con unos amigos a Le Pain Quotidien cerca del Royal Festival Hall.La primera impresión ha sido bastante negativa.El personal, 7 de cada 10, no usaba la mascarilla correctamente, estaban preparados café y estaban en la caja sin mascarilla o debajo de la barbilla, extremadamente molesto, estúpido e inútil.Si dependiera de mí, dejaría el lugar pero no pudimos encontrar otra cafetería con mesas vacías, así que me quedé en le Pain Quotidien.No esperamos mucho tiempo por el pedido, pero a pesar de eso, los camareros parecían bastante desorganizados y confundidos.El café y los pasteles estaban calientes y sabrosos.El baño estaba sucio y supongo que ninguno lo limpió en horas.Debido a la situación peligrosa y explosiva relacionada con COVID 19, me gustaría ver una mejor limpieza, respeto por las reglas.Parece que la administración no sabe cómo administrar a su personal y respetar las reglas.Sugeriría ir a otros lugares.

Solía venir aquí mucho antes del encierro. Esta fue mi primera visita desde que reabrieron y fue simplemente horrible. El personal está mucho más interesado en chismorrear entre ellos y literalmente nos ignora en cada etapa. Tuvimos que levantarnos y conseguir nuestros propios menús. Nadie vino a tomar nuestro pedido durante años, tres mujeres del personal estaban parados alrededor de la puerta riendo y hablando en voz alta sobre su noche anterior. Nuestras bebidas nunca llegaron, pedimos dos veces, observamos a la mujer después de la segunda vez de preguntar literalmente regresar para continuar su charla con su colega y una vez más no molestarse con nuestras bebidas. Terminamos bebiendo el nuestro de nuestras botellas de agua. Habíamos planeado café y pastel después de nuestro plato principal, pero nunca nos ofrecieron esto. Los baños también estaban absolutamente sucios, lo que nos hizo sentir preocupados por los niveles generales de limpieza.En general, parece que este lugar ha ido enormemente cuesta abajo desde su reapertura, el personal no se preocupa en absoluto por el servicio al cliente, no podríamos haberlo hecho. sido más ignorado. No volveré y sugeriré que otros elijan una de las otras muchas opciones en el Southbank, sospecho que todas son mejores.

Chocolate Bombe is to die for! Nice brunch options, fresh organic taste. Lots of different choices, cosy environment, and good coffee. I know I will always find something tasty to eat here.

Spacious venue with welcoming staff on the Sunday I visited at 11.30am for breakfast. A little noisy due to the large area for seating but the menu was varied and interesting. Enjoyable and somewhere I have recommended

Eating in these p[laces always give me ideas for food chez moi. Had a lovely substantial mixed salad which made a perfect lunch with good coffee. I know it's the French thing to have coffee in bowls but not something I like. Next time I might ask for something with a handle!Service very smart. I've had their croissants and pastries before and they're as good as you would expect.

I ordered a oat latte which was really burnt and didn’t taste as it should. I mentioned it to the waiter and it was taken off my bill.

Visited the restaurant for the first time on Saturday for brunch. Although what we had to eat was very nice the service was chaotic and would not encourage me to go back.Plenty of empty tables when we arrived but seemed to be a lack of staff and only 1 person seating guests so it took a good 10 minutes before we were sat even though there were only 3 lots of people in front of us. Shown to a table given a menu and then ignored. We had to call a waitress over to place our order which actually came quite quickly. We then decided to order a cake each and again had difficulty in finding someone to take our order.After 15 minutes of waiting the cakes did not arrive and by this time we were a bit pushed for time so asked for the bill. We actually had to ask twice for the bill and told them to take the cakes off the bill as we had not received them. The annoying thing is that we could see them on the counter just sitting there but no one bringing them over. Absolutely no apology for the problem which just added to the poor service.A real shame as it was a lovely menu and somewhere I would certainly have come back to in the future if the service had been better.

I came here on Sunday with my family for lunch and had a very nice experience. The place was so busy, good ambience but it was very noisy as we were sitting. I would like to say “thank you” to our server Christina for her service and beautiful smile.I was impressed that the waitress took our order without any “tablet” or “notes” from seven people. The food was delicious and the “bowl” of coffee’s amazing.I definitely recommend this place.

We had a late Saturday breakfast and it was one of the best I've had. Really impressed by the original choices on offer, as well as old favourites. Everything was delicious. My husband had perfectly cooked eggs, while I had a baked omelette with greens, amazing (though I could have done with a warning about the sizzling hot dish, which burnt my hand when I touched it!) Great coffee and tea, lovely juice, plenty of toast and fresh jam. Excellent service despite being extremely busy. Can't fault it and will be back.

Wir wollten eigentlich woanders frühstücken, aber es hat sich erwiesen, dass unsere alte Location kein Frühstück mehr anbietet. Wir gingen rein und waren erst einmal von dem Ambiente überzeugt. Das Essen ist gesund und schön auf den Tellern bzw. Brettchen präsentiert. Die Preise sind aber etwas hoch. Der Kaffee bzw. die Schokolade schmeckten total gut. Es war nett und mal was anderes als sonst.

I am all up for paying the money IF it really is worth it but I do have to question what makes a glass of lemonade cost nearly £5? The food and drink we had was really good and I certainly couldn’t complain about the quality BUT was it exceptional? Was is twice as good as I’ve paid half the price for? The answer is simply “NO”.

Decent venue serving range of salads, soups and hearty favourites. Worth going in for a light or healthy lunch. Be aware that this particular branch is in a railway arch and consequently incredibly noisy when busy.

Truly impressed with the friendliness and warm welcome in this branch - lovely sandwiches and salads too, and the scone was incredibly fresh! Highly recommended for the space and service overall.

Really can't fault Le Pain Quotidien - after a delicious brunch we were heading off to do some work, but in the end we ended up staying the whole afternoon (mainly because the weather was awful!). This branch has plenty of space and we were able to work in a quiet area in a really nice setting. The service was amazing and our server, Marianna, occasionally checked in and made sure we had everything we need. Will definitely be using this branch as a base more often!

Nice location in the Southbank near to the river, and a tasty and varied breakfast menu, Pan Q is a reliable choice, here and at St Pancras. A little slow to take the order but food prepared fresh and delivered with a smile. All staff warm and engaging. Ideal for a breakfast meeting. Though my experience was good, those using a wheelchair or needing better access would be frustrated to see a table in the way of the accessible automated door and the lift.

En un viaje a Londres recientemente, perdí un precioso colgante que pertenecía a mi madre. Me puse en contacto en todas partes donde había estado para ver si alguien lo había recogido. El Gerente de Distrito del Centro de Apoyo Le Pain Quotidien respondió en 15 minutos e hizo consultas en el restaurante. Para mi gran alivio, un camarero lo encontró guardado en el restaurante. Pude recogerlo hoy. Gran servicio. Gracias.

Apareció para tomar un café y pasteles, se sentó durante 15 minutos esperando a que nos atendieran. Los artículos salieron 1 por 1, estaba decepcionado con lo que llegó, así como el café estaba tibio, no es ideal para 4 libras por pop. Entorno encantador, un montón de potencial, pocos errores para solucionar.

Il locale e’ indubbiamente carino e ben organizzato , di chiarissima ispirazione francese , peccato che però qualche caposaldo della cucina francese, tipo zuppa di cipolle, non sia ben realizzato. In definitiva molta attenzione alla forma , molto meno alla sostanza .

Came here for Brunch with my son and was apalled at the standard of the food for the price. In total £31 for two mains and two drinks. Happy to pay this in central london if the food is up to standard but this was dreadful. The bread was dry, the goats cheese was spread so thinly you could barely taste it and the mushrooms were dry and chewy. The one and a half cherry tomatoes on top were quite nice though!!! Well done to the ktichen for being able to slice a tomato. Such a pity as the venue itself is lovely and convenient for the southbank.

Initially I was very impressed as they had a new vegan menu and, to their credit, the avocado toast is lovely. What really lets the place down though is the rude waiting staff. Two of our orders were incorrect and the lady acted as though it was an inconvenience when we politely asked for the order to be corrected. I then asked for a glass of water for my pregnant wife and got the rude response that it wasn’t her job and I’d have to ask her colleague. I had asked her because she wasn’t doing anything whereas her colleague was busy serving other tables. I replied that I would’ve done but he hadn’t been back to the table at which point she stormed off in a huff. They automatically add a 12.5% service charge, which we did pay, however, the service was the worst I’ve had in London.

Dinner for 3. Main courses good if a little expensive. Puddings disappointing ~ especially the Strawberry Tart. Sweetened cream in the pastry case, and an under ripe strawberry sliced on the top. No glaze, no jelly. Very dry and uninteresting.🙁

I just returned from Southbank where I took my mother and 87 years old grandmother to LePain (literally) Quotidienne. I never had such a bad experience in a coffee place in London. It took ages for anyone to come and get our orders. We asked for tea and cakes. Tea arrived after 20 minutes with no spoons and no cakes. We waited 25 min and when I asked where are the cakes, a rude waitress just told me “it’s finished”. No apologies, just plain rude. I asked her to scrap the cakes and bring me the bill. She gives me the bill with one cake on it. I tell her to do it again, now really pissed off and she gives me this attitude, gets the payment and leaves with no apologies or goodbye. My relatives were shocked. I am never going to go to this place any longer, as they could not care less about customers

Visited today at the morning with my family, Good Food , Great Service , happy to come back next time when visiting London

Love the place. Portions of salad are big, coffee in cups without Handels make this place special and unique.

Very over priced food, when the salad came so did a swarm of fruit flies. Very disappointed with a very limited menu choice.

We have become regulars to this and other restaurants of the same chain as the food is dependable in quality and good value. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely decor, great staff, delicious coffee & sweet pastries. Didn’t want to go back out into the cold.
