We often come to Sorrento for celebrations etc. it is the best Italian restaurant in Stratford Upon Avon. The food is authentic and the team look after us everytime. If there is anything specific you wonder about or would like to try, just speak to the team. It is always best to book as it tends to be busy, but well worth a visit!

We love it here, our favourite place to eat in Stratford. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, with a beautiful ambience and amazing food then this is it. We got married in Sorrento and this place really makes us feel like we are back there all those years ago.

We had an amazing meal here during a weekend in Stratford. Everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing. One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.

Booked for late afternoon, restaurant v busy, inside is traditional but relaxed, extensive menus, we ate variety of food from the fixed price menu - pate, soup, hake, pollo milennese, chicken Marsala, tiramisu - all well presented, v tasty and good sized portions, v friendly staff. An excellent meal, we will return.

Very nice food in very nice surroundings, steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly, a really positive night out……….

We were in Stratford to go to the theatre and were looking for somewhere for an early dinner. Happened upon Sorrento whilst strolling around. We had the Set Menu . There was plenty of choice. Both our meals were delicious, good portions. Could only manage one desert between the two of us. The staff were friendly and the service excellent. Just wish we lived nearer!

We came across this restaurant quite by chance. What a happy chance! It’s family-run and quite charming in every aspect. Delicious food and wine. Excellent service. Wonderful ambience. We’ll certainly be back again soon.

We visited Sorrento restaurant on our first evening In Stratford, we have not booked but they managed to find a table, this is a very sought after restaurant, with many people being unable to eat here that evening. The welcome was exceptional and the friendliness of the staff made our evening. The quality of the food was very good, I thought it was extremely well priced, I am very pleased we found this restaurant as it got our short stay in Stratford to an excellent start.

What can I say, our experience was just perfect. We hadn't booked and the restaurant was pretty full, but we had a table for two near the bar which suited us just fine. Our host was very friendly and chatty, and gave us a brief history of the restaurant, which opened in the 1980s. The service was impeccable, and the food ... All I can say is my pasta was absolutely delicious, just the right amount of chilli, and dare I say better than one I had in Pisa. They take bookings based on the number of chefs working, and so the food is freshly cooked to order and delivered in a timely manner. I wish we lived nearer! Booking essential.

Absolutely brilliant evening. The food was exceptional and the service attentive without being intrusive. I would say the best Italian restaurant I have been to. Price wise it is not cheap but not overally expensive. Wish it was nearer to my home as would visit often.

We visited this restaurant for a,special birthday celebration, requested a quiet table for a romantic meal however we were place next to 2 tables with diners shouting at each other to be heard! The food was average at best, very expensive and when asked if everything was OK I mentioned a few potatoes were black and inedible ( you only get a very small portion) the waitress laughted. In all wouldn't recommend if you want a quiet high quality meal , not a noisy canteen with tablecloths. 😃

Booked this restaurant well in advance to coincide will a stay in Stratford to celebrate my wife's 65th birthday. I emailed the restaurant to advise them of the reason for our visit and requested a quite table. Unfortunately when we arrived shown to a table in area packed with tables with very vocal and noisy groups. At no point did the restaurant even acknowledge my wife's birthday. The prices in this restaurant seem somewhat on the high side, basically one of their cheapest main courses each and a bottle of wine came to well over £60 and the food provided was at best average. We where very disappointed with the ambiance and the overall experience and would not go again.

Had a fantastic evening , last Saturday 7/10/23. The food , wine & ambience were all fabulous as were all of the staff , who were very engaging with all of the customers . Can’t wait to come here again , I would say one of the best restaurants in Stratford .

Delicious freshly cooked food ..we had the fish soup to start followed by prawn linguine and pasta with slow cooked pork ragu sauce. All very good. Plenty of choice for non meat eaters. There's an extensive wine list but the house white was fine. The service was great, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The surroundings were semi formal (white linen tablecloths ) and there's a nostalgic feel - some might find it a bit dated but we liked it. (Much better than the rather uniform gastropub look of most of the other places in town we looked at). Highly recommended!

Great Italian restaurant. Welcoming, plenty of space with a nice authentic feel. Super Negroni aperitif to start, pasta and seafood dishes were serviced in good portions, great tasting food. We booked two weeks before our visit. Very friendly staff. With a great range of traditional Italian starters and mains. Had the mussels for starters which was great. Followed by specials of the day . Veal rib eye on the bone also very nice. My wife was going to have the sea bass but felt it would be too large for one person. This was sold at market prices on the weight. Maybe next time. Good selection of wines . Would love to re visit again.

Fabulous service with a smile. Bruschetta was amazing. Mains of monkfish tagliatelle so juicy and king prawn linguini simply delicious. Tiramisu, the best I’ve ever tasted. A wonderful experience all round. Thank you Sorrento.
