Sooshi in Canterbury

so i saw some cucumber hosomaki in the fridge and thought it look delicious but i was terribly mistaken the seaweed was incredibly watery and you could see visible wet marks in the box

Love this place. Ramen is always good, and eve and Jo are always friendly 😁. Reasonably priced. And cater to most dietary needs.

My daughter had wonderfully fresh sushi, while I had super-tasty ramen. Totally unexpected in the middle of Whitstable. Lovely, friendly staff and a great location. Highly recommend.

Honestly some of the best sushi we have ever had, such a refreshing change from the other food options in Whitstable. I you like sushi you will love Sooshi Sushi! Get yourselves there, you won't regret it! :)

The sushi here is excellent, really tasty. We have eaten here a feq times this year and last year and it makes such a nice change to find food like this on holiday in the UK. We have eaten the poke bowls, the maki rolls and the sashimi and its all excellent. On top of that we attended the sushi making workshop last night which was fun as well as teaching us how to make a maki roll! My teenage step son enjoyed it so much he now wants to have a suahi making party with his mates!

Absolutely gorgeous Freshly made daily Super kind staff who are always helpful If you see a label and no stock in Fridge they will make it up for you there and then!

Love this place! Great variety of food and friendly atmosphere. All freshly made and tasty, anything from sushi, poke bowls or delicious ramen. Also love their brunches! Couldn’t recommended more 👌

Eaten here many a time and it is always amazing! Friendly service and great selection of fresh sushi as well as hot options. Will be going to try their brunch menu very soon!

I cannot recommend Sooshi Sushi enough, fresh ingredients, quick service, lovely staff, constant rotating specials, what more could you want?? Personal favourites are the deep fried rice balls with spicy tuna and the wakame seaweed salad- absolute flavour bombs.

Love the menu here! Such a variety of delicious sushi plus poke bowls, dumplings and more! I can’t get enough. I’m a local here and eat at least twice a week! If I could I’d love to eat here everyday!! Enjoy it so much I did Jo’s sushi making class to try and recreate the amazing sushi she’s produces at home to enjoy but wasn’t as nice as her! If you love sushi this is the place to go and I can not recommend her sushi making classes enough! Was so much fun! Joanne takes a lot of care and pride in what she does and is great at it! What a little gem

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of sooshi sushi a few times now! Such a great selection, always fresh and so tasty. I also love that they have different specials each week. My personal favourites though are Spicy Tuna Maki & Dynamite Rolls, they’re a must have!!

We started following Sooshi’s journey in lockdown and we were always obsessed with how amazing the food looked! When they opened their unit in Whitstable, we knew we had to try. Our first trip there was for a sushi making class for a friend’s birthday and it was such a lovely experience. Everything was provided, drinks could be purchased from the bar, and overall, it was something exciting to do for once. It was a small group so it wasn’t too overwhelming and Joanne was really relaxed and made the whole experience really fun. As I’d enjoyed the experience so much, I went back for lunch a few weeks later and ordered some freshly made sushi, gyozas and a poke bowl (and some extra sushi to take home!). The food is just incredible and all service comes with a smile! This is definitely our new favourite place for a treat! Thank you so much, Joanne :)

Worst poke bowl ever had! Even can not name it as a poke bowl! Plain, with few pieces of salmon. No avocado or mango or even sesame seeds and what to talk about seaweed, spring onions or proper dressing. It’s not a way how proper poke bowl is made. What I got was plain sushi rise with few pieces plane salmon, carrots, radish, cucumber and slaw…

Just ate here for lunch at South Quay Shed. Absolutely loved the sushi! So fresh and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

It is what Whitstable has been waiting for, amazing Sushi in the Harbour. The food was amazing, the place does truly great Sushi. Highly recommended and will be back.
