I am so disappointed. After being a regular to this restaurant (at least twice a week) from my new local job and raving about the tasty fries to my colleagues, I wanted to try something new - the seasonal soup. At first, the lady (who was nice) told me there wasn't any left but then she noticed they miraculously had a portion left. What they gave me was what I call a 'shot' of soup. The pumpkin soup was tasty, but it really felt like they had to scrape the leftovers for the tinniest amount for £2.75 (£3 eat in). Good thing my portion was a takeaway, I wouldn't know how they'd be able to dish this to someone eating in!

Coal drops yard King’s Cross St Pancras we was looking for a value for money meal not excessive but rather than pay the food chain big boys we opted here. Menu is a small choice from a static white van Ok it’s London but we ordered 2x cans of coke and a bun type sandwich ( chicken and sausage) Although the sausage bun came with six small fries that wouldn’t fill a local pigeon, plus my chicken effort with one lettuce leaf,….. hmm Disappointed small portions Value for Mone we might of done better at a more famous fast food burger outlet. So in retrospect instead of supporting the local economy go somewhere else Only plus side outside seating nice views.

I know this is London, but there has to come a point where value still matters? This is a perfectly pleasant place to grab a light lunch, but the chicken sandwich while tasty, was rather small for £7 and the £2.75 Sanpellegrino wasn’t cold. So all a bit unsatisfying, left with a sense that someone, somewhere is laughing at the margins they can make…

Untrained staff, over priced products, not very friendly probably lacking confidence due to lack of product knowledge. Fillings lacking any real taste the chicken sandwich just seemed to be a chou bun with a piece of lettuce in with a little dressing did not match the amazing branding and location. Frankly i would give this place a miss for the moment until they improve.

The food (egg roll, croissant, coffee) tasted fine but overpriced. Service very poor. The person who took the order didn't look at us once, no welcome, put in the wrong order initially and just chucked the croissant in a bag and pushed it towards us, even though we were eating in so might have expected a plate. We sat down and the roll just banged down in front of us. Coffee arrived after a wait. It was as if they were rushed off their feet but we were almost the only customers, and there were two people serving.

This place is to make iconic sandwiches. Huge doorsteps with loads and loads of filling. The sandwiches or £10 but worth it. Now inexplicably they reduce the price to £6.50 but it’s just a brioche bun with a bit of filling-which was nothing special.

Went here with family. Their menu board says sandwich but what you really get is a small brioche bun with hardly any filling that you want but loaded with rocket. This place is a complete rip off. Service also very poor. Staff can’t be bothered and sit there eating crisps. Never again!

Came here a while ago for an amazing sandwich but sadly, whilst they've reduced the price of the sandwich by 25% they have also reduced the size of it by at least 50%. It is £6.50 for a tiny brioche bun with about 1 tablespoon of filling. Really disappointing and had to buy something else for lunch after.

So disappointed by the new size of the sandwiches! It used to be £9.5 (which we were ready to pay for once as it was a big truly worth it lunch) and now £6.5 for a sandwich a quarter the size it used to be!! My husband and I are still hungry and won't buy from you anymore because of that change! We will reproduce the same recipe of our favourite egg sandwich at home!

Ordered a chicken sandwich and fries which were both incredibly disappointing. The sandwich amounted to bits of hard, brown chicken meat, lettuce and mayo with zero flavour and completely not worth the extortionate price tag.

Looked pricey when we got there for just a sandwich but my egg sandwich was so huge and so delicious it was worth every penny! Could only eat half, and saved the other half for the next day! This Starbucks in Hampstead always shut early it’s opposite to what it’s written in the door that they closed at 7.30 , however at around 5.30-6, all the chairs are already upside down. Staff will tell the clients that they will shut soon, I was sitting there and the time was just 5.20pm and clearly it says in the door they shut at 7.30. Staff there are lazy and unfriendly, they always chat with each other, no greetings for customers.

This place is such a missed opportunity. It needs a good clean with the seating inside maximised rather than using the space for storing sauces and napkins. They bakery items are usually cold despite being placed on a 'hot plate' I asked today for an item to be warmed as was told 'it is against health and safety law'. The place simply needs a more focussed management and it would be really nice.

I have been coming to wind down at work for some time, and Nero's is my favourite of the coffee chains. At times, some of the staff have been a bit curt, bit it is busy. Recently bought a cortado - usually served in next cup up from the expresso cup. This came in an expresso cup with the explanation of "That's how we sell them." This was done when I had a couple of minutes to spare and there was a fair queue. I couldn't complain without inconveniencing me and other customers. Whilst the staff member in question may get a bit of a laugh here and save .0000000021p, they won't be getting my custom again. I would advise others to relax elsewhere in the Holborn area.
