Cracking place for cocktails, lovely decor and the bar staff are freindly helpful and informative even giving advice on making your own at home. Keep up the good work. The only downside is the outside seating attracts beggars and loud drunkeness from nearby hostelry.

The first time we went here was for the Open Mic which is every Wednesday. Love the decor, the staff are friendly and welcoming, a great space to chill or to get down on the dance floor! Very aesthetically pleasing and great tasting cocktails for a reasonable price!

Good location, wasn’t too busy but a bit of an oddity. Didn’t have a lot of their own beers for some reason & more focus on cocktails. A beer fridge would have been nice for some takeaway cans!

A truly great bar with some superb beer choices. This place often gets overlooked because of it's proximity to the 'Star Wars' cantina bars, ie Hogarths and the Market Tavern. You get what you pay for in this place, I always enjoy drinking here.

Nice staff, good snacks & great open mics

We first came to this place for a private event being held a few months ago, thought it was great! Since then we’ve been coming weekly to the open mics every Wednesday, never seen such a great packed place mid week! Also enjoying the quiz nights. Staff are great and on the ball, real great team! Only room for improvement is more events! I love this place!

Really nice place very open and very relaxed. The staff that was on shift was very welcoming and made the night better, as having welcoming staff is a great thing. I enjoyed going to the open mic on the Wednesday of the this week.

Leicesters Gem 💎 The staff make you feel apart of a family and there’s nothing else like this in Leicester. Wednesday night open mics are the best! Such a great spot for events and meeting nice people.

Staff deserve a pay rise! Lauren, Mai and Samantha are the life behind the bar and as well as being fun and accommodating, their customer service is ace! Loving the open mic vibes too!!!!

Excellent venue for sampling craft beers.

Went to this bar last night for my birthday and was unbelievably disappointed with the service. I ordered my drinks and after paying was told that they didn't have the ingredients left to make my drinks. I asked if i could have refund which I was told I wasn't allowed because they didn't know how to give one. I was then asked to come back another day to see if the refund was possible then which is extremely inconvenient as I live far away from Leicester and rarely come. The staff member that I was speaking to when trying to deal with the situation (Mya) was very rude and smug about the situation saying it wasn't her problem. When I asked to see the manger I was told she was out which was why I couldn't get my refund. 100% would not recommend this place as I basically got robbed and the service you will receive isn't worth it!!!

Visited Sommar Leicester today. The atmosphere was amazing and the choice for crafts was one of the best I've seen. Aiden was amazing in helping me choose the right flights and was very bubbly. A lovely hidden gem of Leicester.

Great bar for beer and cocktails. Have great selection of their own beers and other great guest taps Seemingly unique in Leicester that they actually have their heaters on today so it's warm too.

Amazing experience. Aiden was my server and was a top guy. 10/10 recommend.

Very quite on a Wednesday night just before Christmas. Drinks (especially the craft beer) and service were very good.

Went into this empty bar today to enjoy a lovely drink before we enjoyed our meal elsewhere, to be greeted with two staff members who were not approachable, and barely said two words while serving us. 10 minutes into our drinks a gentleman came back into the bar and proceeded to tell the lady behind the till that they had been sacked, to which the lady then told us they are now closed, but with force and arrogance. Shockley I replied and said “do we have time to finish our drinks” to which she replied, “I don’t know I don’t work here anymore” the gentleman on the other hand was really understanding that we had drinks left to finish and told us to finish our drinks, however they proceeded to chat behind the bar about there recent dismal from the business and wether or not they would clean the bar. Overall due to this experience we wouldn’t be returning to this bar.

Stumbled across this gem last week wandering in for a pint not realizing there was a show on. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the fact the bar was still open and tables around to enjoy without disturbing the show. Ended up staying till the end 👍🏻

it was mine and my friends first time in leicester and this was the only decent pub we could find. the staff was super friendly, the drinks was absolutely delicious and the the place is just a vibe and i really enjoyed it.

Empty place, it was nice because we found a seat easily. Filled with staff who were chatting, with a stack of glasses and stuff on the bar which needed clearing away. Had 2x Daiquiri, too much salt around the rim of the glass, not and enjoyable drink, even though it was 2-4-1

Avoid. Two kids trying to make cocktails slowly. A disaster. Their beers - the ones they had - were good but 'a man is not a camel' and I don't have infinite time.

Nice real ales and the barman Kyle is a top geezer.

I just came to drink a cider, but found the exciting surprise that they had a tap with Gluten free beer, which was actually really good. Will come back for sure!

Brilliant free comedy night on a Tuesday with some great beers and IPAs on offer

We visited this great pub that had a selection of 22 great beers from the Sommar Brewery in Birmingham.

Loved the person who served us at first. So friendly and welcoming. They wore a duck earring. Also, the owner brought Ziggy, his delightful puppy.

Huge selection of beer and gin. They didn't have a few gin items on the menu but managed to suggest a few other options. Dog friendly which is always a plus with us. Pricey.

We love this bar. Great drinks, 2 for £12 cocktails and plenty of draft beer options. The look and feel of the bar is very modern. Only 4 stars because last few times we've been has been on a Friday. The live music was too loud and attracts the wrong type of punter imo. Ditch it and put some Ibiza house on to attract a younger crowd

Brilliant little bar in the heart of Leicester. Provides a range of drink options in a very stylish venue. Prices are on par with the area too.

Fantastic range of beers for all tastes. Was met by a very warm welcome, so much so that we returned later for the fab comedy night. Really friendly staff and locals alike. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning again soon.

Myself and husband went just for the Comedy club which is run every Tuesday night (this particular night 21st March was my birthday). The Host George was fab.....pretty sure he could have kept us entertained by himself for the 2 hours the Comedy was on for. If I lived nearer I'd be there every Tuesday night from 7.30pm. It was a small but mixed age group in the audience. The format is typical Comedy Club of Compare then act 1, break, compare, act 2, break, compare act 3 whom is the 'highlight'. Acts 1 & 2 were fine but yes Tom Little was the better of the 3. Though he did talk really fast - wasn't quite sure if that was him being himself or part of the act. It was a great little venue and quite intimate. Definitely a place I'd go back to. Drinks were reasonably priced too. Can't comment on whether there was a menu or not as we never planned to eat there anyway. Did I mention there is no charge to get in, you just turn up and take a seat - donations are requested at the end but I think you could still get out alive if you didn't donate

Great beer, amazing selection! Mid week the Cool as Leicester Black Card can be used.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful decor, and friendly staff. Great place to go and try something new to drink. The only problem is that there aren't always enough places to sit. But that is to be expected in a bar of this quality.

first time i came here i was served by josh and he was so funny and lovely! second time i came i was served by someone (didn’t catch her name) tonight (21/12/22) and she was SOOOO lovely and helped us with recommendations :) honestly can’t recommend this place enough if you like beer or not - they have cocktails too!

Pretty decor, friendly barman and great value for money. The cocktails were fab and had a midweek offer, we will definitely be returning!

Just saved this place to my favourites. Tried 3 different Sommar beers, all super fresh. Friendly place, good music, great atmosphere, not crowded. And the prices are very reasonable too.

A fantastic place to enjoy watching the world go by. A great place with an amazing interior, situated right on the corner with floor to ceiling glass on two sides that open up in the summer onto the street. Nice selection of drinks at standard not over priced prices. Not something that gets mentioned all the time but top marks to this place for having immaculately kept and clean toilets and wash areas, 👍🏻
