Thank you much for such a lovely afternoon tea delivery today. After a recommendation from a friend decided to book. A good selection and great portion of sandwiches and cakes that came with some still/sparkling drinks. Delivery was prompt on the time ordered for. Would order again!

Quite a nice place, food and coffee was OK, but I’m wondering if they are keen to have repeat business. The waitress was grumpy and never smiled once. Perhaps a customer relations course might not be a bad idea.Shame - because the place has potential. I’d go somewhere else next visit.

Stumbled across this simple little tea shop on our way back from an afternoon walk at Wakehurst Place. Lovely welcoming staff. Amazingly light and moist homemade coffee cake and Victoria sponge cake. Absolutely delicious and guaranteed “no nuts”! Will hunt it out again when passing.

We had quiche lunch and some of the afternoon tea items for afters. So fresh and home made it was a superb experience. Best to book if you want a real afternoon tea of scones, cakes and sandwiches. The scones are absolutely mouthwatering and equal best we’ve had this summer. The cake selection was beautiful. I tried a coffee cake which moist and not too sweet, so I was very pleased. All the family want to go again! Very friendly service

Wood block tables and a variety of pictures around the walls gives this the “vintage” feel. Like the simple menu and the personal service.

Stopped off at this amazing village cafe on Sunday for a light lunch. The service was quick, the quality of food was very high and all sourced locally. The sandwiches were freshly made to order and drinks tasted amazing. I will certainly be stopping here again when passing the area (even if a little detour is required, well worth it)

The overall cafe seemed mismatched and dirty. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was very weak so they maybe stingy about using chocolate powder. I also ordered a bacon sandwich; it arrived on some average bought bread and the bacon was fatty and under cooked. The service was very slow and we did not get serviced until after 20 minute of waiting. When it came to paying the lady was very rude (almost aggressive towards us) and it seemed she wanted us out quickly. She was using the tip bowl to give us change which gave a very unprofessional look. I would highly recommend any other cafe in lindfield, and i will not be going to this cafe again!

My wife and I are weekly visitors to this lovely tea shop with its friendly staff. The food is all home made and the coffee is the best for miles around. We held a private function there for my 75th birthday, a super special high tea. Madi and Leslie could not have been more helpful in fulfilling all my culinary hopes. It was a delightful occasion and our guests still talk about it and want me to hold another one there soon!

We came here for a spot of lunch after going to Ardingly for the crafts for Christmas show. This is a very very beautiful village with some very sweet little shops. The tea room was pleasant and a reasonable menu, unfortunately, we were unable to have any bacon or sausages because if it all sold out. In the end I settled for a jacket potato and my husband for ham salad sandwich both of which were very nice. We did not isample the cakes as we are quite full up but we are informed by a local shopkeeper but they are delicious.

Visited with a toddler. She was given colouring pencils and a copy of an artists outine of the actual tea room itself. Such a great touch. We had scones and a brownie. Both fresh and delicious. Lady who runs the tea room is welcoming. We will be back. Babychino was the perfect temperature and was free.

Well they had a good selection of cakes but if you expecting a friendly efficient warm atmosphere then you might find it lacking. We went on a Friday afternoon as the coffee shop around the corner which was busy and had a good feel to it had sold out of most of its cakes.

We (a three) were riding London to Brighton on our bikes the day before the BHF organised run. We found the hills before Lindfield tough going and needed to cram some cals in before the beastly Ditchling Beacon. We found Somers as we rode in to town. Delightful, quaint oh-so-english little tea room offering up a range of teas and treats. Saddle-sore and hoggish we found sanctuary at Somers and ordered two teas and a coke; one Victoria Sponge; one Cherry cake and a honeycomb ice cream.

We came here for lunch, as we wanted a light meal. It’s a pretty tea room on the high street. I had tuna jacket potato and a pot of tea and my husband had a cheese and ham sandwich and a ginger beer. It was very nice, with friendly service. It was quite busy in there, and I can see why. I would return.

We held my daughter's 2nd birthday party here on Sunday and it was brilliant, thank you so much to Maddy and Lesley! They closed early so that we could have the tea rooms to ourselves from 2 to 4 pm and served us teas, coffees, juice and an amazing selection of cakes. Including a whole chocolate cake which was personalised for my daughter. Everyone commented on how delicious the cakes were and how lovely the tea room is. Maddy was so helpful and accommodating throughout and I would thoroughly recommend it for any special occasions! thank you again!

Was in early morning and were promptly served with some coffees as we were looking for a quick drink. Stayed a little longer than planned as it was cosy and even with only a couple of single tables in also it was a lovely atmosphere. Looks like it will be lovely in all seasons.

We popped in here for a late afternoon cuppa, having heard of its five-star status. Parking on the street was easy (right outside!), but at other times it may not be so. We chose a cream tea plus an extra drink, because we can never get through two scones each, and we were gladly given two plates, knives etc. The scones were lovely, and the china teapot gave two good cups. We sat in the window, which was very pleasant, but anywhere in this cafe would be good, I am sure. China cups and plates made it all very genteel. As for prices: not the cheapest, but better 'value' than cafes in NT Houses, or RHS properties.

The charming village of Lindfield has so many quirky little boutiques and trinket stores to wander around that it needs its share of refreshment venues. Somers is one of these. It is a quaint little tea shop that serves tea, scones, cakes and some light meals. Tasty food and a well-kept, clean establishment. Pleasant setting with local art for sale.

Really lovely friendly tea rooms. My sister and I are rather partial to a cream tea so have plenty of experience and I have to say this was right up there with one of the best we've had, both for taste and quality but especially for the excellent value (cream tea - finger sandwiches, scone and cake - £15 for 2). The owner was very friendly and the decor welcoming. I will definitely return to sample breakfast and lunch.

Overall staff are very nice, beer is good, food portions are embarrassingly small, this was £18, the staff said they have used cod rather then haddock that’s why it’s smaller and thicker, it was tiny…. I’ve actually really enjoyed coming here over the last few years but probably won’t eat here again.
