Chicken Jai FTW. 2nd time and will continue to order it every time. I wanted to lick my plate. No overly full feeling, just pure deliciousness. Normally a butter chicken fan but chicken jai is better. Loved the new decor too. Fancy mint choco was the perfect finish.

Food was amazing, staff were so nice, friendly and caring to our kids. They made sure our food was exactly how we wanted it and that we enjoyed it, we left really full and really happy! Will be coming back again and again.

Solti has recently been refurbished and is looking amazing. My starter was Chick Momo and this was delicious. My usual main dish is a Chicken Biriani. It was absolutely superb, could not fault the meal at all. 9 of us were at Solti from work and we all reay enjoyed out meals.

Fantastic place to eat, especially pre-theatre. Great atmosphere and staff. Good food. Two minutes walk from the Festival Theatre.

Hard to find a Nepalese restaurant back in Glasgow. As a Nepalese, I just had to visit here for the momo, you know the price for this four pieces of momo is actually insane. I would be called a crazy man, if my friends and family heard about this lol. Can’t blame them or should I blame them. I had eight pieces of momo down in Harrow (Newa-Che Maya) for a better price than this. Anyways the hospitality was great and the vibes good here!

Pre-theatre dining experience. The restaurant was full, so booking would be necessary even at 5:30pm on a production day. Several people were turned away as walk ins while we were there. Our waiter was engaging and had a great comedy routine and patter. Portions were too generous. Food was good but not great.

Extremely tasty food with great staff. Clean washrooms as well. Will be back when we come to Edinburgh again.

This was was SO delicious! The service was wonderful, gave us some good reccomendations as we wanted to try something completely different than we would usually order. We wtill talk about it two years later! Definitely worth the visit

Stefanos was our host and he was fantastic. We were on holiday and he brought us our dinner and a show. He was a delight to have conversation with and had us laughing the entire time. The food was amazing and the portions were plenty!

Very tasty food. Service very accommodating. Since the dishes are shown without side dishes, the price of the side dishes must be added to the price of the dish.

We had a fantastic lunch at this Nepali restaurant today! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making us feel immersed in Nepali culture. A special shoutout to our server, Madan, who provided excellent service! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and wonderful hospitality! We will definitely be coming back.

I went there on a date. As a Bangladeshi, the food was perfect. I had the garlic chilli chicken, and it was exactly as delicious as it sounds. I ate so much I gave myself a stomach ache and I would do it again.

Wonderful ambience, really friendly staff and amazing food! I had MA’s Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka with steamed basmati rice and cheddar & garlic Naan. I would strongly recommend all of it but don’t trust your hungry eyes portions are very big!!

First dinner in Edinburgh and certainly the most memorable! Having booked for one person, I was seated in a rather noisy corner next to a table celebrating a birthday, but this first impression quickly faded as the dinner progressed! Firstly, Ankita's service was attentive and full of vitality. Secondly, the food was simply delicious; the paneer makhani was creamy and comforting, accompanied by tasty cheese naans. The hulab jamun dessert was also an excellent discovery, combining hot and cold and the textures of fried doughnuts with ice cream. Weeks later, I can't get that meal out of my head! An address to remember, I wish Scotland wasn't so far away!

The food was tasty, but the portion sizes felt small for the price—for example, we expected at least six momos. The restaurant offers good veg and non-veg options, and the overall dining experience was pleasant. However, be prepared for extra charges, like for a slice of lemon or onion, and a 10% service charge, which seemed excessive. Booking a table in advance is recommended as the place can get busy. Service was okay overall.

If you’re a big fan of Indian food, do not, I repeat, do not hesitate to come eat at this establishment. The food was amazing. The spices were impeccable and let me tell you the manager, was the nicest man I’ve ever met.

I recently went to get lunch at this Indian restaurant and lounge, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious, but the portions felt a bit small for the price, which was on the higher side. However, the dessert, recommended by the waiter, was a highlight and absolutely worth trying.

Thoughtful and attentive service! We had a dinner at Solti for our anniversary – upon arrival we were given a complimentary drink to celebrate, and the service throughout was perfect. The butter chicken and tarka daal were amazing dishes, as well as our starters. The portions are substantial and we had enough to take some home. Will definitely be back!

I spent a lovely evening at Solti with my wife and daughter. The food was excellent, especially my butter chicken. The atmosphere was warm,welcoming and cosy. The price was reasonable even with the addition of a couple of cocktails. The staff were welcoming and nothing was a problem. A special thankyou to our host Stephano, who made our visit very enjoyable and he was extremely funny. I fully recommend Solti and will visit here again when I'm next in Edinburgh.

I've been here a couple of times, and it's the best Indian food I've had in Edinburgh. The menu is varied with some unusual dishes, as well as most of the usual favourites. The service is excellent too, with everyone being very friendly. But it is quite pricey - I spent just over £35 with no alcohol, but as I said, it is very good and good value for money.

Incredible meal and really well valued. I ate the slow cooked chicken on the bone and wow, fall off the bone meat and a rich sauce to accompany. Would reccomend to anyone passing by.

Visited Solti yesterday and i was blown away! Greeted with a gorgeous interior which is warm and welcoming and the service was second to none. The staff are very attentive and not overbearing, service with a smile. The food is simply outstanding, amazing portion sizes, sensational flavours and beautiful presentation. I can not recommend Solti enough for anyone looking to have an outstanding meal.

My partner is a coeliac and she's also currently feeding our 2 month old who seems to have a cows milk protein allergy at the moment. We're not the easiest to cater for at the moment, but we were really really well looked after. They checked everything carefully and the chef was made aware. The food was absolutely flipping amazing. I had a Jai and saag aloo myself and it was phenomenal. I'll definitely be going back! Thank you for looking after us.

Naanwich ckn tikka was way too sour, not a lot of meat and thus the ratio was off. Naan was chewy and too thick. Yoghurt sauce was potent if too sour as well. Not worth the price at all

Extremely great and above all authentic food. Be careful, the food is really spicy if you choose the marked 🌶️ dishes 😅. But I found it really tasty. The service was very warm and took great care of us. Thank you very much for the lovely and delicious evening.

The restaurant offers a large variety of true vegetarian options. You wish you could taste it all. The portions are generous, and the naans are very tasty. Furthermore, it is well situated, very close to the city center, and accessible by foot.

The food was fantastic. The splicing had a Nepalese edge with plenty of chilli. I had a lazy Saturday lunch with friends and everyone enjoyed it. The service was good and the presentation of the dishes was top notch.

The service was unfair, uninterested and late in eating, and the food was very ordinary We ordered chicken tikka and it was not up to standard We also ordered a shrimp masala, and there were only 5 shrimp in it. In addition, there was a lot of sugar in the masala, and there was no real masala taste. I do not recommend it at all. As for the vegetable samosa, it was just good. When paying, the service was included in the invoice and we asked them to cancel it. They agreed and told us that we had the right to do so by law.

Great little restaurant just a 100y from the Festival Theatre. Excellent staff, smiling and helpful. The food was super tasty. I had my usual Lamb Rogan Josh and whilst it was certainly the hottest/spiciest version of said dish I've ever had it was none the worse for it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friends Biryani was likewise "hotter" than usual so perhaps it is a trait of this Nepalese restaurant. Overall it was very enjoyable, a table of four including drinks just topped the £100 so also good value. Well worth a visit.

We were visiting from the US and had dinner at Solti one night. The food was fantastic. So flavorful and tender. We had the lamb and chicken. I would highly recommend this place!

We dined here on Sunday, 15 September 2024. I'm still dreaming about my meal at Solti! The staff are friendly and attentive. Each bite was a delight, and the presentation just blew us away. Don't miss out on trying their NUTELLA PESHWARI.

We were there on Thursday party of 7 people. We never booked the table but staff managed to get us a table. Few of my friends were vegetarians and we enjoyed everything. Aloo bodi tama was the best. Cocktail was lovely as well. Service was great from start to finish as well. Highly recommend 😊

Booked a table here, 16th Sept 24. So glad we did, it was packed, usually a good sign, the staff were really lovely but most importantly the food was amazing. Can definitely recommend the himalyan lamb pot. Well worth visiting.

The lamb leg has no mutton smell and is very spicy. The KORMA is delicious and has been recommended by Amway again. I will try to make it myself next time. The garlic naan is not as delicious as the sweet cookie.

Just go ! All the staff really cool , all the meal as well , u need to try the Raja’s Nihari Gohst, tasty and generous no lie.

Great food and quick service. Not sure there level of one chilli is the same as ours.. But there probably right and we are just wimps.. 😂 So if like us you like the mild look for no chilli's. The rice is also probably big enough to share. If you not looking for a large amount. Or have popadpms/nann with it.

This is the restaurant where I have had the most dinners with my classmates in Edinburgh. My favorite is the leg of lamb (slightly spicy). The other dishes are quite in line with our tastes, and the staff are professional and enthusiastic. It made me have a very unforgettable birthday in a foreign country. I love Solti! Found this place while at the Tattoo. I have an allergy and they could not accommodate it so I had something I really didn’t want.

Excellent food here. The naan breads with garlic were smeared with herb butter. It was tasty, but it doesn't seem quite the Indian way to me. They have very spicy curries.

Only went once, will definitely go back to see if I can up the rating a bit. I loved it!!!

Last minute find while visiting Edinburgh for the Fringe. Great service, fantastic food and a magician waiter that managed to stop the rain by clicking his fingers. Hopefully be back again but highly recommend.

Super nice dinner, we got a table although lack of reservation but it was just luck and kindness of the manager of the restaurant so make sure you book it ahead. Food 10/10, generous portions but no rice included - needs to be ordered extra. Perfect localisation, energetic music, helpful staff.

What a find. Really courteous welcome & service throughout. Himalayan Hotpot, Ma's Butter chicken, paratha bread, naan bread, rice. We polished off the lot. Excellent food. We did book (a 1pm lunch) and glad we did as it was full not long after 1. Happily go back.
