Sofreh persian restaurant &halal food in Kingston upon Thames

Food is okay but Manager was rude to talk. I hope the manager looking after his staff well. One of my friend said he doesn’t pay to his staff during training. If the manager doesn’t does not like the employee he simply say Goodbye to the employee not even a simple thank you for a few hours work.

Food was nice but they added 10% service charge without letting us know. For that reason, as much the food was nice we have no intention of revisiting

terrible service, odered online on their web page, recived the confirmation email, waited for an hour and called them, they didnt see the order, said that it would take 15 minutes and if it we still wanted it, no apologies or anything.

We had a great time. We were served by Iman - great hospitality! Good food ! Nice atmosphere! Eshan came and chatted and after food we were served complimentary tea in beautiful tea set. Fresh oven baked naan bread was awesome!

Had a nice and quiet dinner here on Friday evening with some friends. The service was great! They were polite, attentive and gave some good recommendations for the food. The atmosphere was nice, quiet and welcoming. The food was nice. We got two lamb dishes, the lamb shank and lamb stew and both were soo soft and cooked really well. I would say the stew needed the chilli oil I added to it which helped the dish. The samosas were delicious, we tried both the chicken and lamb. The grilled chicken wings were nice and juicy. But the calamari didn’t seem fresh. The portion sizes were great! Overall I would go back again to try something else. (Unfortunately we forgot to take photos of the food)

Food is great... Portions are on the larger size.. We have come from Melbourne, Australia and the shishlik lamb here at Sofreh tastes as good, if not better than back home.. The Ashe Reshteh tradional soup tasted excellent and authentic... I recommend the food and restaurant..

I went there with my friend on his recommendation I have been to some Persian restaurants before but never tried their food so was a little bit reluctant . I ordered kobideh with rice and the moment I had my first bite I was not disappointed at all. Proper meal size with different flavors of sauces I loved it

Very beautiful atmosphere with the most delicious dishes with hot bread and delicious starters such as kask bademjan,mirzagasemi and chicken wings.My suggestion for the main dish is mix grill for 2 people and ghaeymeh bademjan and fesenjan stew best and very good service friendly staff

I had a Joojeh (35 on menu) last week and it was great. The price was reasonable and the rice portion was massive. Highly recommended!

What a great little find in the middle of the high street! The atmosphere is good and the food delicious! For me it is the lamb shanks, for my husband the chicken. The bread made in the oven is also worth a try.

Delicious food! It’s our 3rd time coming here and we will be coming back. Food is fresh and restaurant is so clean! It’s a great place for a dinner for 2 or a group get together!

Positives: - Food was good, recommend the 'soltani' which are the grilled lamb skewers - Friendly and efficient waiters - Modern interior - Came on a Saturday night which was not super busy Negetives: - you may want to keep away from the tables near the oven at the front as it can get quite hot. But we were able to move to another table. Would recommend if you are in the area and want to have some Persian food.

Normally chicken shish wrap was fine but I ordered a large menu for 5 people . Whilst chicken shish and lamb shish was fine. The lamb chops were really bad… it was hard tough and tasted like old lamb. Was really disappointed.

I was quite disappointed by the service I received when I found a piece of metal in the lamb kebab. I pointed this out to the server and initially he tried to convince me that it was the foil that the meat was cooked in. After explaining to him that the metal was hard so could not be foil, he dismissively said he would give us a 10% discount on the meal and walked away. Although I appreciate the fact that they offered a price reduction, I found it concerning that they did not seem to care that a random piece of metal was found in their food. I would hope that they go on to investigate how this could have happened, as it can be a safety and hygiene issue.

Very good food, service and lovely venue

Me and my family we went to sofreh restaurant on Friday night and we ordered kobideh, jooje, baghali polo with lamb shank and sofreh special for four people. Food was delicious and we had a great time in there. Great atmosphere and very kind and friendly staff. I definitely recommend it.

It's by far the best Iranian restaurant in terms of price, quality of the food, and the service you receive. I had my birthday party there with my friends, and we all enjoyed it a lot. All my friends were very happy with the food, the cozy atmosphere, and the excellent service they experienced during my birthday celebration.

Firstly the restaurant staff was very disrespectful and rude to my family and then after that once the starters came in there was 3 strands of hair in my humous, after that when the main course came the food was very cold and no flavour to it and it was a very bland texture. After that about 15 minutes later I saw one of the restaurant staff drinking alcohol. Not only this restaurant has terrible food they also have drunk staff on the job. Then my son was very disgusted and disturbed when they were playing loud music in the restaurant I told the manager to kindly lower the music down. He then shouted no at me and said either eat or get out. I do not recommend coming here this was a utterly inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour from staff and the restaurant.

First time trying Sofreh, the portions were generous and the food was delicious. The lamb skewers were super tender, and the vine leave rolls and KASHK B ADEMJAN with fresh garlic bread were all amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Well situated on New Malden high street, modern interior, attentive service and interesting menu if you are unfamiliar with Persian cooking. No alcohol served. Enjoyed a very pleasant family get together, relaxing low volume music.

I had an unexpected stop after a health appointment and was really heartened to have found my new favourite Persian restaurant. Beautifully cooked and marinated joojeh kebab, with saffron rice and a flavoursome salad. Highly recommend.

The food here is excellent, fresh, delicious and full of flavour. Fluffy rice, freshly made bread in front of you, fresh salad and juicy marinated meat. Would like to try more of the menu as there are some interesting dishes to sample. The service is excellent. Highly recommend!!

The chicken portion was so small. The rice was almost all just plain boiled, no seasoning. Bland bland bland.

The Fesenjan tasted great. I absolutely recommend it. I also enjoyed the chilli King prawns. It wasn't too spicy to eat. I think it would be good with garlic bread.

This is a very nice lunchtime surprise. The lamb and chicken are excellently cooked. They are tender, succulent and well marinated. The meat's taste is well balanced with spice. Rice is wonderful. Mint tea should be the best choice. You can taste mint blending in well with tea.

Fast delivery and the food was amazing. Cooked to perfection, the minced lamb was exceptional. Plenty of rice and excellent quality and quantity of everything. Will definitely order again.

Unfortunately, we don't have any Persian restaurants in East London, and I really enjoy Turkish cuisine. So I gave this a try and was blown away by the food. I got the two minced kebabs with the saffron rice, and it was so flavourful and juicy that I couldn't stop eating. I highly recommend it.

Such a lovely restaurant and very clean qirt a polite host. We ordered bread hummus,calamari and a sofra special mixed grill for 4 which is a lot of meat comfortably enough for 3 adults and 2 older kids with some left over. Been to lots of persian restaurant and this is definitely one of my faves. Highly recommend
