Been here afew times now. Always fresh and delicious

If you drink tea with the king in the palace restaurant in London, you will not pay 16 pounds for 4 cups. It's so weird. A very big stake. It's even more shameful if this happens in the place of a chief who came from the people. Other than that, the food prices and taste are very good. It wouldn't be right for me to say anything to him.

The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is nice, and the owner of the restaurant has a beautiful soul

Love it, great falafel, and really good houmous

The second and last visit to this restaurant and the order was shakshuka and falafel dishes for breakfast. Unfortunately, shakshuka is 10% eggs and 90% bell pepper and oil. The falafel appears to be frozen and the chickpeas appear to be canned.

It's a wonderful place, the food is delicious, the staff are very attentive and the price is very reasonable. It's now the only place we eat when we go to London.

A marvellous location in a very atmospheric square just off Oxford Street. The restaurant is well set out, inside and outside. The seating area on the open, pedestrianised paving outside is very well designed and has heaters and privacy partitions adding to the ambience. Onto the food. It was good, not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. We chose 2 x salmon with veg and potataoes, cod and chips and a calamari dish. All were thought to be ok, but without any conviction for any of us to say " they were tasty and fresh ". It was all so - so. Service equalled the food, ok, but not great. Price was ok, just about right for the location, but not the quality of the food. Sorry to have to agree on the loos with lots of previous reviews, but if enough of us mention it, they may improve and update. They are awful and at the bottom of a steep staircase.....enough said about that. Definitely not a place we would return to and sorry to not recommend. It was all just to " ok " in every aspect.

Food was bad, meat tasted like BBQ gas. I had iskender with kofte, the inside of which was raw. Yogurt was sour. All in all, the taste was really disappointing. In contrast, the restaurant is located in a busy and pleasant square.

The tea and the coffee is absolutely amazing! Very friendly and helpful staff! Great place! Quick service! Highly recommended! Ram makes great cappuccinos and coffee drinks!

I am staying in central London for a week and I am coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner almost everyday! This place is absolutely great! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! The food is fresh and delicious! Everything is great! Will be coming here again on my next visit to London. Best regards!

I enjoyed having lunch here. The man serving the tables was nice to us and offered us a welcoming hummus and free tea at the end (complimentary).

The food overall was very enjoyable. The standout dish was definitely the Caprese salad — fresh, vibrant, and surprisingly generous in portion size, which is rare these days. The chilli prawns were another highlight: packed with bold, punchy flavors that really delivered. However, the sucuk was a letdown. It came off quite dry and was cut too small, which didn’t do the richness of the sausage any favors. I think larger, juicier slices would have given a much better mouthfeel and preserved the flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which definitely elevated the experience. On the flip side, the interior design left me a little unsettled. The broken-glass style artwork was distracting and created an odd, almost uncomfortable atmosphere — not exactly what you want when you’re trying to enjoy a meal. A warmer, more cohesive decor style could make a huge difference.

Please kindly TREAT THE STAFF WITH RESPECT Had a very quick light snack on my lunch break. Enjoyed complimentary bread and hummus-very fresh and good quality. Service was fast, efficient. I had two starters both were fresh and full of flavour. This is a great location, I noticed three tables around me rudely interact with the waiters and I was quite shocked and saddened. The food was really bad, I bought lamb lamb and entrecôte, the meat was angry and very dry, it was a pity for the lamb lamb, the meat was thick with tomato paste, the meat was oily and came in oily water. We got up before finishing and asked for manti for my daughter, but the manti was too salty. The lady was nice, but she treated certain customers well, not everyone. It was the worst place to eat on our London holiday. Before I forget, I can't help but mention the toilets because there is no toilet paper and they are very dirty. The comments below surprised me based on what we saw. Money wasted, it's a shame🤨

Back in London after moving away. Fancied Turkish for lunch and returned to this old favourite that I haven’t been to in ages. Perfect weather and we had the best table in the house, framed in the open window overlooking the outside tables. Presented with hummus and fresh pide bread on arrival, which we assumed we’d be charged for but was actually free. Food was a mix of traditional and innovation. Our mains were Hunkar Begendi, which I love and you hardly ever see on a menu, and ‘Mama’s special’ Hamza, a sort of curried lamb stew baked as a pie with a pide bread crust. If you really want it you can also order things like fish and chips or Japanese but I don’t see the point - try the lovely Turkish delicacies that aren’t so easy to find usually! Turkish Yakut red wine was also smooth, light and delicious.

Started off well. Nice attentive staff was given bread and hummus which was lovely. Ordered 3x lamb tagine and a chicken curry. Food was not hot. Curry was like gravy with plastic chicken. Lamb was lacking flavour too Most of the food was left Staff did not ask us if the food was ok if we wanted any more drinks etc once the food arrived we were ignored. Had to ask for the bill and when it came we were charged for a salad we hadn’t ordered We took service charge off and paid a small tip. The manager came over and we were offered free drinks The toilets are grim

A lovely spot in the heart of Oxford Street. We started with the Hummus with Sautéed Lamb Fillet and Lahmacun—both were excellent. For mains, we had the Lamb Tagine and Lamb Fillet. Everything was really delicious, but the standout was definitely the Lamb Tagine—rich, tender, and packed with flavour. I’d go back just for that dish alone.

We ate here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was a warm day and sat outside in the vibrant square. We were served a dip with bread which was delicious to start our meal. Our choices were moussaka and lamb tagine. Both dishes were exceptional, the tagine was so lean and fell off the bone which was so authentically tasty. Our food was really tasty and would recommend coming to eat here.

If you miss delicious Turkish food, this will be the first place you should come. They are very polite and friendly, and especially Mr. Hacı takes care of people very well, provides very good service and makes people's day better. I recommend him with the number 1 recommendation.

Great location, heaters, blankets, and really a cool area. 5 for Atmosphere. Service was mid. Unfortunately they serve food. More than one member of my party got ill, one violently so.

The restaurant was great for lunch , with lots to choose from on the menu , Turkish and British cuisine. Staff were friendly and made sure we were comfortable as we sat outside. Food was hot and efficient, I would just say make sure your fries are freshly cooked . A good selection of wines and soft drinks . Overall great experience. A must visit whilst shopping around st Christopher place .

We said we were going for iftar, but even though you asked for water a thousand times, they didn't show up. The service is terrible. When I told the woman that I wanted water (for the third time), she didn't scold me. I went to a restaurant opposite, bought water from there, and broke the fast. Take care of a fasting person. Is it so difficult to bring water? Give up, that tall, skinny lady with blonde hair, you are so rude.

I got lamb chops with rice and broccoli and they were really tasty…one of the best lamb I tried in my life.

Worst Turkish restaurant in England

Amazing atmosphere so cosy, welcoming, relaxed and romantic. Top quality service I couldn’t have asked for more. Felt so welcomed and appreciated, the staff were very prompt and attentive. Big thank you to the managers! Prices are very reasonable and a huge selection of choice. definitely worth a try.

On a work trip to in London Manager took us from the street last night and suggested to try it Turkish food one colleague and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food, friendly staff So much so that we returned tonight with a party of 6 of us. All of the staff were lovely especially the manager called "HAXHI"who dealt with us. Nothing was too much for him. Everyone enjoyed their food and we couldn’t speak highly enough of all the staff on front of house, the grill and manager. Thank You all for a wonderful night.

I visited this restaurant while I was in the area for business, expecting the usual Turkish hospitality and great food. However, my experience was disappointing. I visited with two friends, and we all ordered the "4-piece lamb chops" as listed on the menu. Instead, we received only 3 pieces each. When I asked why, they claimed there was a sticker on the menu correcting it—but none of the three menus we received had any sticker. The waitress, Ozga, acknowledged the mistake and promised us a complimentary drink. However, we never received it. One of my friends playfully spoke a few words in Turkish, and from that moment, Ozga started ignoring me and only spoke to him. I asked for garlic sauce, and instead of responding to me, she said something in Turkish to my friend and left. We never received the sauce. At the end of the meal, I asked for the service charge to be removed due to the poor service. She refused, even though it is my legal right to request its removal. I didn’t want to argue further, so I left feeling completely dissatisfied. This was an unpleasant experience, and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will not be returning.

I’m a regular customer since 2016 and absolutely love Sofra for their top notch Turkish cuisine and overall great quality for an affordable price in a luxerious setting located in the best parts of the city. Today I had the salmon stew which was delicious. My favorite desserts are the kunefe and the coronation dessert, who both manage to be very tasty without being overly sugary.

I have been coming to this lovely restaurant for five years and giving them 5 stars before. I am a regular customer with my family and friends. However, no one of the staff told me before that I must order food, not only kunafa and drinks ! I came many times to taste the turkish coffee and sweets only. Today, the lady told us ( we don't accept this ) and we need to order food, not only kunafa and drinks ! And the funny thing is the restaurant was not full ! This will be the last time to come here, such a poor service!

Terrible toilets. Too small and not kept clean

I met with my school mate after 8 years it was 3 of us we ordered and started chatting no waiter came to disturb us even outdoor they put heat lamp on my table.i went inside and paid the bill without my friends noticing before leaving he asked for bill staff replied its been paid already in the front shop was Costa coffee empty they closed it around 7.30pm I didn't even saw single customer in Costa coffee shop in Bond street.
