I don't understand why they place is less than 4 stars. Their food is solid and the ingredients are so fresh/organic.. Service is good too. Very rarely if the space is too full it can take a while however but that's understandable...

Never again too expensive , portions are far too small , lack freshness ,overcooked ,my meal looked like someone else's left over . The salad / fotush was soggy , incomplete for £8 and I had to pay additional £4 to put feta cheese on it that usually included . My wife fish fillet look too thin ,overcooked and dry, the cus cus didn't look like cus cus, the Aryan was too salty, the service charge was unbelievablely unnecessary and far too much , the place lacked atmospher, dull and drab .I have never seen such small kebab in my entire life 4 pieces ( flat like 50 p coin thin as 50 p ) lacked taste , I wonder if it was lamb , it could have been mutton, over cooked and dry . This is an insult to turkish food . Ruined my day and spent £68 for rubbish food . I made a special trip to this place and I regret it now . This place used to be different under the previous owner ,although the boss lady said it is still under the same ownership but I don't believe her . I should have not given them the benift of the doubt and walked out before placing order. The moment I enter the shop I picked up this vibs that somthing is different about this place . I feel sick after reading other reviews. This place should be reported to trading standard .

The food was absolutely disgusting. It gave me food poisoning. I didn't even eat much yet I was up all night with stomach ache. Everything was overpriced and we were served nothing but disappointment. It ruined my night.

We ordered lasagna. It was cold and when I asked the manager to try it. They said no and I told them why you mentioned in your menu that if the food is not good, you will bring the chef to eat in front of me. They said no and I answered them please bring the bill and cancel the service charge. They said no you must pay it. I told them how I paid for something that I didn't get good service. Even they didn't say sorry for food and paid fully bill without completing the plate. I don’t recommend anyone to go. Guys, I went to the restaurant today and they brought me cold food. When I told them, “You remember that if there is a problem with the food, you will have the chef eat it.” In the end, I did not finish the dish and paid in full, and they did not even apologize or apologize. I would not recommend the restaurant Very bad, no service, no food, no taste, not even a place

I was a regular here however I am absolutely disgusted after this time and won’t be coming back. The manager (Ningun?) is extremely rude. She made us pay service charge despite my complaints that there was hair in my food & the steak was not cooked how I asked for it to be TWICE. She then had the nerve to say I shouldn’t have complained as we ate the food like we hadn’t paid nearly £80 for three simple meals.

We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, which didn't even arrive until we had finished our entire meal. On top of that, there were extra charges on the bill. The lady manager was rude and loud when we tried to address the issue with our service and bill. We told her that by law, extra fees are optional, but she shouted at us and accused us of being racist. She was completely unapologetic and asked us to not come back again. I definitely won't be returning and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The overall experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Terrible service, added charges and a rude manager - this place is one to avoid at all costs.

I think this place is awful, I ordered a chicken wrap and in my entire life I have never witnessed this! My chicken was frozen when I bit into my wrap. The service and whole restaurant was just the worst. The owner is so rude too! Never going there again!

I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Sofra Restaurant in London. The food was truly delicious and the presentation was equally impressive. I especially liked the lamb shish and the meze. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant, which offers the best examples of Turkish cuisine, to everyone. Sofra is a great choice for those looking for a true gastronomic experience in London!

Terrible food. The ‘tagine’ I had was shocking, almost like dog food. Was not a tagine at all. Service friendly. Food bad. Menu seems to be a mixed tourist grabbing menu, not authentic Turkish.

I swear to God, the worst service, and the Turkish racism against the Saudis is clear, and I swear to God, he serves us. He is a very conscious person until he says his name, and the bill is increased by awareness. He adjusts it and gives them free cream. We wrote it and we calculated it and made us wait twenty minutes to be held accountable. He settles himself and does not see us. Advice, advice. No Arab gets a million racists, and the taste is less than normal.

Visited on Saturday 10th August 2024 at night. Rude staff - especially the lady who received us. She insisted every single person must order something (including 2 young children) 2 items from what we ordered (crème brûlée and tiramisu) had gone bad - you can actually smell them. We returned them both - but were still charged. Staff didn’t even care. Would not visit again or recommend. Seems other reviewers also had similar problems with bad food.

This is a restaurant that I can definitely recommend to anyone going to London. Their food is incredibly delicious. This place is definitely not a fast food. So the prices may be a little high, but it is a place where you can eat delicious food and have a good time for 2 hours.

AVOID! Food is not tasty, poor and unprofessional customer services. The old lady is horrible and a bully. I felt like reporting her to police. This place should shut down. I went to the branch in Oxford yesterday, we ate kebab, lahmacun, kashar pita and fish and chips. Except for the fish and chips and the first free starter, the other dishes were very mediocre. We went there because we had heard of it many times before. I will definitely not visit again. Really, do not waste your money on 1 star food.

Very disappointing experience at Sofra restaurant, St Christopher place London. I wanted to meet my friend and have a nice chat after a long day and I regret that we chose this restaurant. The lady (manager) ruined our day and it turned to a bad day. We told the waiter that we only want hot drinks and dessert, he did not say anything and he gave us the desserts menue. While we were still eating, a couple were standing and looking for a table. The manager (old lady) came to us and asked us to leave early in a very rude way to accommodate other customers who arrived later. She said (it is a restaurant not a café) and we should order a full meal not only drinks and dessert despite they didn't refuse our order before the couple arrived. She also said we were sitting for 2 hours, despite spending less than 30 minutes and not even finishing our order. People in the tables next to us were surprised and they told us dont leave and don't listen to her. It’s concerning that customer service could be so disregarded and with audacity, they put service charge on top. I won’t be returning or recommending this place.

I guess that's what happens when passion is in harmony with talent. Lahmacun was so crispy and delicious yet very light. To be honest I haven't had that good lahmacun for a long time. Kunefe was so light and crispy. We loved everything.

The restaurant is really wonderful, and the food and meat are fresh, prepared and cooked to your request. The service was great and excellent. Especially from the waiter, the Turkish brother. We thank Mrs. Mama, the waiter in restaurant, for being hospitable and welcoming to all Arabs, Muslims, and all the customers and patrons of the restaurant. Their sessions are amazing. first bad experience in london, I will give zero star, because we had very bad experience nothing was ok around the lady manager there she went crazy she was shouting all the time she was too rude towards the customers she was extremely rude to the staff and treating them like a slaves the food came too late and then we asked for the bill it came after 20 minutes. Worst experience ever!!! The lady manager is atrocious and should not be working in a service industry. After we made a complaint about the fish and chips being dry, we were told “fish and chips is supposed to be dry, it’s fish and chips”. Our fatoush salad also came out soggy and lamb tagine cold, while we mentioned this to the lady manager, she started smirking and laughing! After this she proceeded to tell me mother (born and bred in the uk),”this is London, not India!” and walked off. After causing a scene, we heard her telling other customers that we were refusing to pay the bill! Lies! We settled our bill and will never EVER be returning. The food is awful and service offensive.

DISGUSTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL🤢!!! I am appalled by how this restaurant is still running. Firstly the bread had mould on it, but the lady (I assume owner) said “no sorry, we make it fresh everyday it can’t be mould”. It was pure mould. The bread was half warm and half cold. It was very obviously old bread. Secondly the Börek was disgusting, it genuinely made me want to throw up. Börek ingredients are so simple, how can this restaurant get it wrong?? The cheese in the Börek had clearly gone off. Then the portion sizes were abhorrent, so small ..and they had the cheek to charge so much for it. The lamb meat was decent. But when it came to the bill… we didn’t want to pay the service charge because of how RUBBISH the service was. The lady decided to argue with us and ask us “why won’t you pay it?”. She was so affected by us not wanting to pay for the low quality service, that she had the audacity to say “yeah please don’t come again”. I will always make sure to read reviews before going to restaurants, because as I was writing my review, I was also reading other people’s negative reviews and it makes SO much sense why they have such an unprofessional and low quality service!!

A very beautiful restaurant, one of the most delicious restaurants I visited in London, and its outdoor seating is beautiful. It is located on Oxford Street, next to Silverage.

The food at this place is good, but the service is bad. The staff are completely lacking in any sort of social skills or charm. There is only one person who is able to take the orders and payment which causes significant delays. We had To ask four times to get the bill and some water. When we were asked what we thought of the service and we said it wasn’t good there were no follow-up questions as to how it could be improved. I won’t be going back to this place.

Freshly made yummy products, nicely presented with a formal flourish! We really enjoyed our lunch and would return! Be aware toilets are down a narrow steep piggily staircase leading to the kitchen where staff are zooming up and down. Toilets are small but satisfactory.

0 STARS I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was very poor, starting with the rude behaviour of a staff member, a lady at this branch. She spoke rudely to my friend and me when we informed her that she had not brought everything we ordered. Even worse, she also missed someone else’s order at another table while we were there. Despite all this, she refused to remove the service charge. I am confused by her confidence in thinking this was acceptable! . This level of unprofessionalism is simply not acceptable. The staff at this restaurant clearly need serious training in both manners and professionalism. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.

The atmosphere is beautiful in Oxford. The service before getting the table was bad, but we tolerated it because we were hungry. We sat down. The service was good. The food was not good. The overall experience was not excellent, but we enjoyed it. The experience may be better later. The bill was expensive in general.

I had heard a lot about Sofra Restaurant from Hüseyin Bey and watched their videos on social media, which had raised my expectations. While I don't have any complaints about the food itself, as it was fairly average in taste, there were a few aspects that disappointed me. Firstly, when we ordered the Wagyu burger, we were not asked about our preferred doneness. Although we didn't have a bad taste experience, details like these enhance the overall customer experience. After our meal, we were offered tea, which was a nice gesture. However, the tea was served in cups that didn't match the ambiance of a popular restaurant, making me feel like I was in a coffeehouse instead. The staff were very polite, and I appreciated their service. A restaurant’s quality is often reflected in its restrooms, so I checked the facilities before leaving and was quite disappointed. It was obvious that the toilets were not cleaned regularly. The restroom was very small and uncomfortably close to the kitchen area. Hygiene was severely lacking, with the toilet being broken and dirty. I hope this feedback helps them improve. ---

This is the first time I go to a restaurant. Service. I read bad comments about a restaurant and said I would try it and it turned out really bad We ordered shish tawook from them and we could not finish it and its price Exaggerated There was an insect in Fattoush, and when we spoke to them, their response was bad and they did not care. They charge 13.5% on top of the bad service, which is considered very high compared to other restaurants. A restaurant that does not deserve an experience at all. The most beautiful thing about the place is the outside roses only, but that is the truth🤮

By far the greatest breakfast in london ! Istanbul haji and the lady nidgun that worked there were very kind and helpful and served us excellently The mayfair pidea was super delicious And the food there was flawless!

The food was good, but when I went downstairs to use the toilet, the visible part of both the toilet and the kitchen were far from hygienic. When we told the staff there, he said it was about the use of Arabs. Because of the efforts to fit 2 toilets instead of 1, you cannot fulfill your needs without doing acrobatics in the narrow one. Even though the food tastes good, I would never want to eat from such a kitchen again.

Wow, just wow. The architecture and design is one of the most gorgeous I have ever seen, I truly fell in love with the place. I tasted the best iskendar I have tried in my life, definitely a must try. This place is authentic to Turkish cuisine as the kind lady who runs it is Turkish and she is very very sweet and was a pleasure to be around, and when you taste the food, see the authenticity, enjoy the art, you will realize why the lovely staff there call her mama. Very good food and quick service

Okra broth is not recommended, and rice served with it is limited Steak with rice is good, as is pasta Lemon juice tastes like water

I came late and was forced to eat it because most of the people wanted it to be expensive, but the taste was not that baba ghanouj is not related to baba ghanouj. Its onion is closer to it. The rice is cold and very ordinary. The grill is not that kind of food. If you are not forced, do not get close to it.

I really want to give zero starts as this restaurant lacks in customer service, the manager ( the guy) is least bothered about his customers and has attitude problems the staff is clueless and the lady manager keeps shouting on her staff and looks clueless too. I personally visited last night with my GF and waiters were rude when I asked them the reason they said we are not being paid for 4 to 5 months. They further said we are compelled to work here but they are not paying us. Pathetic service, poor staff and shameful moment for owner.

I visited here few weeks ago and service is very good. really appreciated but in last I randomly was gossiping with staff but they were really exhausted from the restaurant and as well as they were saying that we have not been even paid for 3 to months. This is totally nonsense. The way they ( waiters and staff) we're talking to me about their salaries they are really truthful in this issue. Anyways! I wish very best for the Sofra's poor staff. Shocking to see owner's millions investment and unfortunately staff are not being paid for 4 months.

Food is not authentic. It is stodgy and feels mass produced. When you order something that might require fresh cooking then you will watch your family eat without you and then eat alone. Why can’t food appear at the same time as you would expect in any restaurant charging these prices!? Very poor.

I visited the place. The food was totally tasteless. The manager an old lady was very confused and shouting at her staff. Later on I came to know from one of the staff members who didn't receive his salary for 1.5 months and is still working there. Overall it was an extremely bad experience that I had.

We bought lahmacun and spaghetti. I think they should not use the name lahmacun, it was very bad and smelled of spaghetti minced meat. The only good thing was the bread and hummus that came first.

Popped in for a late dinner had an enjoyable moussaka.

Really quite disappointed. The lamb tagine was very greasy and oily. My companion didn't like her starter but her main of moussaka was ok. Service was ok but not very engaging and the atmosphere and decor quite flat.

It's a place where I enjoy eating from time to time. Even though I stopped by late this evening, I was greeted very kindly by Ms. Nilgün, whose name I learned later. It turns out that he is also the architect of the most delicious Okra dish I have ever eaten. Thank you, Ms. Nilgün. Thank you 💕🍀🎶

The food here is some of the best I've had since I came to the UK. My family also really enjoyed it. However, the service was really bad. Nobody greeted us, and they were late bringing the menu and taking our order. On the bright side, the prices are very reasonable, and the menu has a lot of variety. The service definitely needs a lot of improvement. Lastly, I complained and asked the waiter to remove the service charge to make my point clear, but I didn't like his attitude. I paid it anyway because it wasn't worth the argument.
