Came for the macarons but this might be the most worst tasting macarons from laduree that I ever had. They were almost soft and not so crispy, and not as rich and thick as you would expect from laduree. Taste was abysmal and artificial.

Thanks to an outstanding Asian gentleman who served as the manager. His service was truly excellent professional, attentive, and warm. He made the whole experience memorable. Honestly, with his level of customer care, he would be a perfect fit back at Ladurée. It’s rare to find such quality service, and I hope to see him in a place that values his talent. During my recent visit, the service was slow and unorganized, which was disappointing compared to the high standard he used to set. Honestly, they should consider bringing him back he truly made a positive impact on the overall experience.

We stumbled upon this little gem in the main square of Covent Garen and were seated outside as it was a lovely day over the Easter bank holiday. I asked what the difference was between the 2 hot chocolates they served and opted for the Viennese hot chocolate which came with cream. It was a great choice as the hot chocolate was so thick and sweet it was delicious! We also chose a couple of pastries which were fresh and flavoursome, we had these slightly warmed up which made them even better. I had the walnut croissant and my partner had the pain au pistache, both beautiful and I would recommend if you have a sweet tooth! Staff were friendly too, we will be back again!

It was an alright experience it was the mishap with the French toast that made me lower the rating

This is Ladurée, known for its famous macarons that I tried and fell in love with in Paris on the Champs-Élysées. It’s definitely number one when it comes to macarons—they’re so fresh, fluffy, and delicious. The Americano coffee is served in a small decanter with a narrow opening at the top, so you have to pour it into your cup yourself. It’s a good design, but I wonder if the narrow top is meant to keep the coffee hot longer. The upstairs terrace is lovely, overlooking the marketplace where street artists usually perform.

I had high expectations walking into Ladurée, given its reputation for elegance and quality but unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of disappointing from start to finish. Service: The service was shockingly inattentive. We were seated and left waiting for an uncomfortably long time before anyone even acknowledged us. When someone finally took our order, they were cold, rushed, and barely made eye contact. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. Food: The food looked nice, but the taste did not match the presentation. My meal was bland, served lukewarm, and far from fresh. For a place known for its culinary finesse, this was incredibly underwhelming. Drinks: The drinks were equally disappointing. My coffee arrived cold, and the tea was weak and flavorless. Even the famous macarons tasted like they'd been sitting out all day not the delicate, fresh treats Ladurée is known for. Management: When we voiced our concerns, the manager was indifferent and dismissive. No apology, no attempt to make it right. Just a smug, uninterested attitude that made it clear customer satisfaction was not a priority. Ladurée might still trade on its name and aesthetic, but the actual experience is far from the luxury it promises. Definitely not worth the hype or the price.

As a regular customer of Ladurée, I hold the brand to high standards. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Covent Garden fell short of expectations. They were out of standard boxes of 8 and 12 and for a luxury brand charging nearly £3 per macaron, I believe the packaging should reflect the premium quality, something far superior to a simple paper bag with damaged macarons.

Disappointed with the experience I came to Ladurée Covent Garden with a few friends from work, hoping for a nice coffee and a great time out. We’ve been here before, and based on that, I suggested we return. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed this time. We had to wait nearly 15–20 minutes just for three coffees, and it wasn’t even that busy. The service felt unprofessional and uninterested. I understand it was a nice day and maybe the staff didn’t feel like working, but there should still be a basic level of respect and attention for customers. To make matters worse, I’m still waiting for the water I ordered for the table — it never arrived. Sadly, I won’t be coming back. This visit really let me down.

Not the best experience, I’m afraid. As much as we love Laduree’s macarons, this particular location needs serious improvement. These are just some of the things that didn’t work for us today: • No hand soap in the restrooms • Glasses smelled of eggs (probably washed in the same water where they’ve washed the plates where they serve eggs royal/florentine) • Our table was faulty - I was cutting my French toast and trying to hold the table still at the same time • Eggs were runny (as I have asked them - brownie point) but really cold and had black lints on (almost like they dried the eggs with a cloth or something) Bonus points to the waiter who has been kind and nice. Wouldn’t come back for a dine in experience.

Additionally, at checkout we were unable to pay by card and they took forever to give change after we paid in cash. An experience to forget, which really doesn't make you want to come back...

In the ever changing world of French Patisserie few brands have remained as iconic and long lasting as Laduree with their world famous Macarons immediately associated with Paris and loved by the Japanese to the point of cult following. I remember decades ago walking down a street in Paris and passing one of their boutiques thinking "Laduree, so chic" with the immediately recognisable pistachio green colour of their posh tearooms and packaging, but never got around to taste one their famous Macarons until my outing to Covent Garden yesterday. Often associated with the tragic Queen of France Marie Antoinette as featured in Sofia Coppola's decadent movie, the original Macaron was actually imported much earlier than her time by the Queen of France Catherine de Medcis when she brought one of her Florentine Chef to Paris and was more like a cookie made of almond paste. Louis Ernest Laduree first opened a boulangerie that burned down in the La Madeleine district of Paris and later became a patisserie after its refurbishment. Under the influence of the Baron Haussman the town's architecture quickly evolved into majestic avenues and buildings welcoming the era of "La Belle Epoque" and with the 1900 Paris Universal Exhibition Women became more socially & intellectually involved in the Parisian life. And this is when Jeanne, Wife of Ernest Laduree invented the concept of the "salon de the" or tearoom mixing "cafe" and "patisserie" as we know it today. Surprinsingly enough it is only in 1930 that the great great cousin of Ernest Laduree, pastry chef Pierre Desfontaines came with the idea of assembling two Macarons together with a ganache in the middle and therefore created the macaron that we know today. Laduree is located in the main building of Covent Garden with a small patisserie shop on the ground floor and the tea room at the top of the stairs under the roof and is as cute as expected with a lovely little terrace overlooking the west piazza. Their afternoon tea was lovely with their special "Marie Antoinette" blend of Chinese & Indian black teas with hints of rose petal, citrus fruit & honey and the famous Macarons were tasty but I will remain faithful to my beloved Carrot Cake of my little garden centre.

Scones were the best and quite a few items on the menu were unavailable and the afternoon tea came with cheap champagne. Service was poor, and we had to ask several times to order before someone came and one staff was attending to every other table who came after us. On the reservation page they asked if any special occasions were being celebrated and even had option to upload picture of ourselves so they could greet us. But nothing was arranged and none of the staff looked like they want to be there, much less be welcoming to the customers. However, the view and atmosphere was great and it was a sunny day which made up for the poor service experience.

Weather was sunny, beautiful views on the terrace. Tea was terrible, champagne tasted like cheap wine from a convenience store, and service was very poor. Took 20 minutes for waiter to take our order, and when we said we were ready to order, they told us to wait and they took the orders of 4 other tables that had come in after us. Was supposed to be my birthday celebration but left sorely disappointed. There was only one toilet stall and a very long line.

The space is tiny, we only were there for tea, so we do not recommned it for a party >4 people. Aside from the macaroons, there were 4 cake options. I was so happy to see that Marie Antoinette (my fave macaroon flavour) was available as a tea. I ordered it but initially it tasted weird. The water they used tasted like tap, so it was not palatable until it the tea steeped longer, when the water's taste was masked. I do recommend the giant pistachio macaroon. They have a veranda, but I do not recommend during winter. The servers were friendly upstairs. Either way, I'll stick to just buying the macaroons to go.

We sat outdoors and did enjoy the scenery however I specifically went to Ladurée to test the French toast. As a connoisseur it was not my preferable French toast it was extremely rich and overly sweet in taste (not a fan of FT chocolate and vanilla) and lacked the conventional flavour offered by the traditional French toast (strawberry and berries) with maple syrup and compote which is ones favourite because each flavour compliments one another. However did enjoy the macaroons which is what Ladurée is popular for. I plan on trying the French toast in Ladurée Harrods which I have been informed is much better, so I look forward to trying it and informing you all. The overly indulgent French toast look appealing but don’t seem to impress taste wise, from my experience of being a connoisseur simplicity is best.

After visiting multiple Ladurée locations in Paris with outstanding service this was an extremely disappointing experience @Covent Garden in London. We purchased a dozen macarons upon entering & then headed upstairs to enjoy lunch. The hostess Alex was quite rude when she saw my take away bag & stated that we weren't allowed to sit at a table with a take away bag. 🙄 I stated that we would like to be seated to order lunch. We observed Alex conversing with other staff with multiple unpleasant glances in our direction which offered the impression we were being discussed. She proceeds to offer us a tiny table at the top of the staircase (stated no other tables available which was a big fat lie) or outside seating BUT neglects to inform us that smoking is allowed outside. We then requested to be relocated inside. A different person then offered us a table in the main area which had an abundance of tables available & only 2 tables that were occupied. Service was quite slow. My order was taken & then the server Marius starts to walk away neglecting to get my daughter's order even though she was quite prepared to state her order. 🫤 Food delivery was a lengthy wait given there were only 2 other occupied tables & was beyond substandard. I guess the chef assumed that I wouldn't notice the burnt toast if it was put in the middle of the club sandwich. 😬 I expected the mgr to stop by our table after expressing to Marius the way that we were treated by Alex when we inquired about a table. I did observe the mgr spending a significant amount of time speaking to one particular table. Marius brought a bag of the 4 least popular macaron flavors as an apology. An option to choose would have been appreciated. Overall- there was a plethora of staff running around doing as little as possible. Ladurée Paris would be mortified if they knew their world famous brand was being represented in this manner. ~c'est la vie

Madurese has always amazing food (sweets and pastries) quality BUT, the one in Covent Garden is nowhere close to the original French branch standards of service and experience. We visited on 21/12. The service staff is surprisingly unhelpful and not willing to serve. Access indoor denied, although the inside tables were empty with only 2-3 “privileged” tables being occupied. Although the first girl on he tills said we could sit inside, a second jumped and said no, with the excuse was that they were available only for reservations. The first girl was surprised, so we knew it was a lie because they were probably bored to serve upstairs, although there was a queue for the tables outside. And that’s were it gets worse. There was an empty table outside that for some reason stayed empty for 10-15 minutes before a group was sat there (no reservation, the group was waiting for 10 minutes in front of us). And then when people left, the staff were really slow to clean a table and have the next ones take a seat. I’ll pass the fact that at 5-6 pm there was no more hot chocolate, they forgot our order! They brought our deserts after we had finished our coffee and you could tell no one wanted to work that day, except from a guy that was picking up the empty glasses etc.

The staff were so uninterested & rude, they also told us we couldn’t order cake, yet when we looked around, other people were ordering and having cake delivered to their tables after we were told we couldn’t have them. Most of the young boys who were serving need to pull their trousers up, as they blatantly had their trousers pulled down under their briefs so their pants and backside were on show, not great when you’re working in a food establishment. I understand this may be a fashion statement for some but when working at somewhere like Laduree, maybe pull your trousers up for service and not walk around with your butt hanging out?

Honest review here. Nothing to write home about… in fact, at home has better macarons than this overhyped place. Got four different flavors and nothing to remember about, texture is on point though.

I have been deeply disappointed with my experience with Ladurée London. Over the past week and a half, I have made countless attempts to get in touch with them regarding a personalized order I wanted to place. I reached out through emails, social media messages, and any other contact methods I could find, hoping to create a special, customized gift with them. Unfortunately, despite all my efforts, I received absolutely no response. For a brand known for its elegance and attention to detail, this lack of customer care is incredibly frustrating. I was genuinely looking forward to gifting something unique from Ladurée, but their complete disregard for my inquiries left me feeling ignored and disappointed. I expected more from such a renowned pâtisserie, and I hope they can improve their customer service for others who, like me, appreciate their products but deserve better communication.

My friend and I had a delightful experience at Ladurée in Covent Garden. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was inviting and relaxing, creating the perfect setting for our visit. The staff greeted us warmly, making us feel genuinely welcome, and the manager’s attention to detail and dedication to excellent customer service truly stood out. The hot chocolate was served at the ideal temperature, and the macarons were fresh and delicious. Every aspect of our experience reflected Ladurée’s commitment to quality and hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and eager to return!

Failed to meet expectations. Unfortunately the service and pastries were average at best. The range of patisserie was poor and what there was couldn’t be described as freshly baked. The building was cold (our server had their coat on) and a hoover was running as we were eating - hardly a convivial atmosphere. Additionally, the food hygiene rating displayed on the door (4) was surprising, given the high prices that are charged. However, checks online at the time of writing have revealed the hygiene rating to be 1. Laduree Covent Garden failed to meet the high expectations I had. Perhaps a visit from the team that run one of the Paris branches could bring this establishment up to the required level.

This place is displaying a food hygiene rating if 4 so we thought good place to eat, however we later checked with the food hygiene rating on line only to find it is actually rated 1 ( therefore very unhappy that we stopped in a place with such poor hygiene).

I visited Ladurée Covent Garden this week, hoping to purchase some macarons for my children, who absolutely adore them. Unfortunately, the service I received was disappointing. Despite being the only customers in the shop, the attitude of the shopkeeper made us feel like we were a bother. Many of the flavours were sold out, which was frustrating, but it was her dismissive demeanour that left the most lasting impression. Is a basic level of politeness too much to ask for? I’ve visited other Ladurée locations and have always had positive experiences. I urge Ladurée UK to review their customer service training to ensure that all customers feel valued, regardless of the size of their order.

Waited ages to be acknowledged even though 3 staff members stood close to me . I asked if I could sit down all tables not cleaned so I sat at a table anyway thinking someone will see me and clean the table No that didn't happen I thought about walking out....the table in front started to he cleaned by the slowest person I've ever seen cleaning a table ....one item at a time and looking like he couldn't be bothered After a while of not being acknowledged I asked for a menu and was then in an abrupt way asked to move to a clean table ...I explained when I sat down they tables had been occupied or not clean He then snapped can you move your bag I need to separate the table.....no problem. It took ages more for my order to be taken ....I literally have barely any interaction with any staff . So the rudest was the Asian looking man in a black jacket . He ignored me along with what sounded like a French accent he had a wispy beard. The young black guy looked like he didn't want to be there and if the other colleagues are like that with him I can't blame him .... The food was cold to warm .Nice and lovely to look at . I didn't know smoking was allowed either . A group of 6 people lighting up one after the other . Someone walked out . I'm not against smoking I just don't want to be tasting it while eating my food . A miserable place

The mouse in the house My wife and I were looking forward to enjoy Sunday evening at Ladurée Covent Garden. The atmosphere initially seemed perfect, but unfortunately, it was ruined when my wife spotted a mouse on the floor. Understandably( you know the rest) we were unable to enjoy the rest of our time there. We brought this to the attention of the host, who offered to move us to another table downstairs. However, the damage had already been done, and the experience was no longer pleasant. To add to our disappointment, when the bill arrived, we were charged 13% for service despite the unsettling incident. This left us feeling let down by what should have been a special night. We expected at least an apology from such a well-known establishment. Would not recommend based on our experience.

We visited Laduree Covent Garden for afternoon tea for 2. I made a reservation online and was showed to our table immediately upon arrival, which was nice as it was quite crowded downstairs. The afternoon tea is £39.95pp with an additional service charge on top. The afternoon tea consisted of 2 sandwiches of your choice, 2 lunch size patisseries, 2 macarons of choice and 2 scones with clotted cream and jam. From the sandwich options we both chose the vegetarian sandwich which was disappointing. The egg and truffle sandwich and the salmon options were nice. For beverages we chose a cappuccino and a herbal tea. I didn’t realise the hot chocolate wasn’t an option for the afternoon tea considering the price, as I was looking forward to trying it. Also, a glass of champagne is part of the afternoon tea, but as we do not drink we were given a glass of juice instead. It would have been better if we were able to get another hot drink or upgrade to a hot chocolate instead. The star of the show was the mini patisserie: the Plaisir sucre and the ispahan, absolutely divine!! In future I would return just for the patisserie section.

Usually I still try to stay positive but this is really too much. Deplorable service, not friendly at all. In rainy weather you are entitled to a wet cushion and that's how it is. The staff spends more time taking photos with their friends than focusing on providing good service. Really lacks very good management for the price we pay and especially for a brand as prestigious as LA DURÉE. Not forgetting the toilets, broken light not clean at all In short, I strongly advise against it.

Escribe a Recursos Humanos si tienes algún problema.”

Been here many times before over the years. Food and service very good as usual, with an excellent Sagrantino on offer this time. I like the atmosphere, quiet enough to have a proper conversation but not dead. Not cheap but prices are correct for the venue, and the fixed menu is very convenient. Recommended for both a business meal and (quiet) leisure. Will certainly be back.
