De plek is perfect en de inrichting ook maar de service en het eten zijn echt slecht. Egg Benedic royal hoor volgens mij warm en het ei hoor zacht te zijn dit uitloop maar dat is daar niet,koud en niet mooi op gemaakt op een bord en het ei is hard gekookt. Terug gestuurd endan krijg je in eens gekookt zalm erbij zware teleurstelling om daar te gaan eten. En dat voor een hoop geld wat het is er echt niet goedkoop. Personeel was ook niet al te vrolijk.

This place is displaying a food hygiene rating if 4 so we thought good place to eat, however we later checked with the food hygiene rating on line only to find it is actually rated 1 ( therefore very unhappy that we stopped in a place with such poor hygiene).

I visited Ladurée Covent Garden this week, hoping to purchase some macarons for my children, who absolutely adore them. Unfortunately, the service I received was disappointing. Despite being the only customers in the shop, the attitude of the shopkeeper made us feel like we were a bother. Many of the flavours were sold out, which was frustrating, but it was her dismissive demeanour that left the most lasting impression. Is a basic level of politeness too much to ask for? I’ve visited other Ladurée locations and have always had positive experiences. I urge Ladurée UK to review their customer service training to ensure that all customers feel valued, regardless of the size of their order.

Waited ages to be acknowledged even though 3 staff members stood close to me . I asked if I could sit down all tables not cleaned so I sat at a table anyway thinking someone will see me and clean the table No that didn't happen I thought about walking out....the table in front started to he cleaned by the slowest person I've ever seen cleaning a table ....one item at a time and looking like he couldn't be bothered After a while of not being acknowledged I asked for a menu and was then in an abrupt way asked to move to a clean table ...I explained when I sat down they tables had been occupied or not clean He then snapped can you move your bag I need to separate the table.....no problem. It took ages more for my order to be taken ....I literally have barely any interaction with any staff . So the rudest was the Asian looking man in a black jacket . He ignored me along with what sounded like a French accent he had a wispy beard. The young black guy looked like he didn't want to be there and if the other colleagues are like that with him I can't blame him .... The food was cold to warm .Nice and lovely to look at . I didn't know smoking was allowed either . A group of 6 people lighting up one after the other . Someone walked out . I'm not against smoking I just don't want to be tasting it while eating my food . A miserable place

The mouse in the house My wife and I were looking forward to enjoy Sunday evening at Ladurée Covent Garden. The atmosphere initially seemed perfect, but unfortunately, it was ruined when my wife spotted a mouse on the floor. Understandably( you know the rest) we were unable to enjoy the rest of our time there. We brought this to the attention of the host, who offered to move us to another table downstairs. However, the damage had already been done, and the experience was no longer pleasant. To add to our disappointment, when the bill arrived, we were charged 13% for service despite the unsettling incident. This left us feeling let down by what should have been a special night. We expected at least an apology from such a well-known establishment. Would not recommend based on our experience.

Very expensive. The waiter wasn’t interested at all. They mixed up our order. The two different coffees we ordered tasted exactly the same- bad. Then they didn’t have what I’d ordered. Avoid.

Although they are famous for their Macaroon, the food was not impressive. It was good and rather pricy. But I think they could do better carrying the Laduree brand.

Lovely afternoon tea at Laduree Covent Garden. Choice of two sandwiches, lovely scones, pastries and choice of two macaroons. Service great. View from upstairs tea room on balcony was fantastic. Lovely choice of teas. Really clean and inviting. thoroughly recommend.

We visited Laduree Covent Garden for afternoon tea for 2. I made a reservation online and was showed to our table immediately upon arrival, which was nice as it was quite crowded downstairs. The afternoon tea is £39.95pp with an additional service charge on top. The afternoon tea consisted of 2 sandwiches of your choice, 2 lunch size patisseries, 2 macarons of choice and 2 scones with clotted cream and jam. From the sandwich options we both chose the vegetarian sandwich which was disappointing. The egg and truffle sandwich and the salmon options were nice. For beverages we chose a cappuccino and a herbal tea. I didn’t realise the hot chocolate wasn’t an option for the afternoon tea considering the price, as I was looking forward to trying it. Also, a glass of champagne is part of the afternoon tea, but as we do not drink we were given a glass of juice instead. It would have been better if we were able to get another hot drink or upgrade to a hot chocolate instead. The star of the show was the mini patisserie: the Plaisir sucre and the ispahan, absolutely divine!! In future I would return just for the patisserie section.

Great place to stop for a central Sweet Treat. The staff were amazing and gave us our macaroons for free as it was my friend’s birthday. Such a lovely gesture thank you so much!

A must for sugar lovers if you are in the area. We popped in and bought a box to share. We ate in a matter of minutes on the street outside. They don't last long! Lovely flavours and cool colours.

Nice little shop for macaroon in the Covent Garden Market. We tried the Rose and Marie Antoinette macaroons and both were great

Usually I still try to stay positive but this is really too much. Deplorable service, not friendly at all. In rainy weather you are entitled to a wet cushion and that's how it is. The staff spends more time taking photos with their friends than focusing on providing good service. Really lacks very good management for the price we pay and especially for a brand as prestigious as LA DURÉE. Not forgetting the toilets, broken light not clean at all In short, I strongly advise against it.

Good place to sit in the heart of Covent Garden. Food was below average. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad, barely any chicken, a club sandwhich ( overpriced for what you get) and chips that were extremely undercooked. Service is very slow also would not recommend for the price of the meals.

An incredible place in the middle of the trendy Convent Garden, I could feel a little bit of Paris in London!! Alexsandro's cordial and kind service made us even more satisfied with our choice to have a charming coffee in London.

The pastries are absolutely delicious and so are the mocktails. The visual details are just as amazing as the taste details. Although I prefer going to the Paris cafe instead. A couple of days before I was trying to make a reservation, but upon confirmation I received an error. So we went by the cafe last week. There was no space inside unfortunately, but we were able to sit outside. The seatings were nice but the market square was very crowded. Therefore enjoying a nice conversation was difficult at times. The staff outside (gentlemen) were very friendly, so 4 stars for them! The lady inside in the store wasn’t very accommodating when we asked about certain pastries. I would give her one star. On our way to the toilets we saw that half of the cafe was empty inside. Therefore we didn’t understand why they kept people waiting and were only placing them outside.

Wonderful experience! Firstly, the decor is absolutely beautiful (which did not surprise me!). And the food was also delicious! I went with my mum and we hear a great time! The service was great and the tea was delicious. The only complaint we had, and a small one at that, was that the room was extremely cold, due to the AC. But apart from that, a wonderful experience! I will definitely be visiting again :)

We visited a few days ago, the food was excellent. We had the scallops and the chicken vol au vent. Both surprised us dearly! The service was a bit slow and staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but other than that great!

We visited Ladurée after seeing wonderful reviews about the afternoon tea. We was pleasantly surprised and impressed by not just the food but also the excellent service from Alex he was very attentive and asked if everything was good the whole evening. The afternoon tea was absolutely stunning would definitely recommend thank you Alex for making our evening fantastic. you will be seeing us again soon

Tried 4 different flavours of macaroons, almost all had an artificial flavour. There are much better alternatives out there.

It’s a very nice place to eat breakfast and the sweets and drinks are amazing and I recommend going there.

Honestly I always receive very stiff and formal welcoming but this time I met Christine and she made our tea time a great pleasure.

Gorgeous setting and excellent value for afternoon tea in London. Three of us enjoyed delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes and macarons of course. Great service from our waiter Alex.

Everything was perfect, as always. The food served was amazing and the service really pleasant. I was served by mili, a smile on her face, really helpful, lovely, and make you enjoying the full experience. I Highly recommend La duree in Covent garden.

Terrible management of table seating allocations. We queued almost 30mins just to get a table. The staff wouldn’t want to rearrange the tables to accommodate more guests. They’d rather allow 2 guests seating on a 4-seater table. Service was horrible. We had to ask 4 times for still water for the table. This unpleasant experience was turned to a good one by Warren who just came in to his shift before we left. He was very friendly and really listened to our needs, and checked on us every time. So thank you Warren.

We did the Afternoon Tea service and it was excellent. Lovely location, beautiful room (upstairs) and fantastic service. We each had a tower and chose from the menu. It was delicious and well worth the experience. We booked this instead of Fortnum & Mason and we loved it.

Coffee is ok, not up to the level, drink has nice presentation, nice atmosphere, slow service.

It’s a perfect place for a date/meeting. Marius is always helpful and attentive. The food and drinks are a bit overpriced tbh. However, overall it’s a great place.

Avoid wasting your money here. Me and a friend were looking for some coffee and cake in Central London and stumbled upon Laduree in Covent Garden. The menu offered a cream tea so seemed like the perfect place...we were wrong. We went upstairs to see if there a table available only to be greeted by a very direct and rude staff member who was looking at us like we shouldn't of even walked up the stairs to begin with. Before we could ask for a table, she very quickly shouted "only inside seats" at us. This was fine, as we weren't even aware that there was an outdoor seating area, but the tone immediately put both me and my friend on edge. At this point we probably should've left and found somewhere else. When ordering the waitress continued to be extremely rude and when my friend asked to substitute her hot drink for a glass of tap water, the waitress refused (which puzzled us, considering we weren't asking for a discount or anything like that). The atmosphere is pretty dire and the food overpriced. The macarons are nice though so would recommend getting some from the shop below. They also add a 13.5% service charge. The restaurant is pretty much ran by rude teenagers who make you feel like you aren't welcome in there and a huge inconvenience for simply stepping through the door. Will unfortunately not be returning any time soon.

I looked around for an affordable traditional afternoon tea - lately many in London cost £50-80 even without alcohol and have themed food you might not want. Laduree was approx £40 and included a large glass of high quality champagne. Every element of the meal was good (often the sweets portion is poor). The service was very good - professional, friendly, and with recommendations which improved our experience. Mel and Reginald served us and were great. The venue was beautiful, and the music was classical and at a good volume for conversation. We weren’t rushed at all. Don’t visit on a Sunday - it’s the busiest time, and make sure to book.

I just visited this cafe and had an unpleasant experience with the hostess. When my sister came after me she approached her and rolled her eyes because she sat on the table next to me and the table wasn’t clean but my sister was willing to wait however, her attitude was extremely rude. I politely asked her about it, and she said she was rolling her eyes for multiple things. This attitude is unacceptable and made me feel unwelcome. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future!

My friends and I came here to celebrate her 21st birthday. Everything was going well, we were served by these two young girls with curly hair, they were lovely and really nice. Made sure we was comfortable however it all went down when we ordered. They had no cakes in stock at all, it’s a Friday how are you running out of your signature cakes and they told us that there is nothing special they can do for a birthday, how is it that they are not allowed candles when everywhere else is? The management here is lazy because what is wrong with just a candle? Then we ordered a grilled salmon that took OVER 45 mins to be made just so I can send it back to the kitchen as there was a huge hair on it. Put me off completely, for the extortionate prices the food is mediocre. Nothing special at all. The macarons were ok but there were no flavours or cakes of laduree signature, so what is truly the point of staying open if there is nothing to offer? Avoid this as it is a tourist trap

Food was really tasty but the service was poor

Charged my credit card twice. Server said he “accidentally” pressed the incorrect button on the first attempt. Told only table for 3 was in partial sun however then seated next party of three in the shade.

Very disappointed with the Bridgerton afternoon tea. The staff were inattentive, on their mobile phones and clearly had not read any of the booking information. This was a special occasion (daughters 21st birthday) yet no one acknowledged this in any way. We have always had an afternoon tea on daughters birthday and other restaurants make a small fuss which is appreciated. Furthermore, we mentioned no fish yet had to repeat this 3 times. The venue is beautiful with fresh flowers and a gentleman was playing the violin which made the ambience perfect. Full marks here. The food was very minimal with no offer of an additional sandwich unlike other afternoon tea restaurants. Left feeling hungry and needing to purchase additional food to fill the gap. The blue Chia tea was served in a tea cup and did not reflect the images on the website with the stencilling on the top so was misrepresented. We were given 2 macarons in a little blue box and in a green bag. This was a lovely touch. For the price paid we were very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend.

Hello we were 3 and we asked to wait for a table for us , as we r waiting we notice that the tables for 2 r being taking for whoever 2 persons comes without waiting And in front of us the tables being occupied so that increased the time of waiting. We called the black waiter ( with bad attitide even with other customer) Asking for explanation but she replyed rudely : YOU CHOSE TO WAIT ) and she turned her back to us When it came the time to get out table, she came to say that we only accept cards , i said ok. But again she replyed ( YOU ARE RUDE) . We were calm And the cafe was not that busy we are visiting london every year And been to Lauduree branches in all over the world I ve never experience this way of treating The waiter’ behavior is affecting the reputation of the cafe Sevice is slow and literly BAD

Food is fine but service is terrible. Got a seat at the upper floor in weekday afternoon. Unfortunately the table wasn’t well clean and napkin given came with stain. Staff didn’t bother to come to take our order only till I went up to approach them. They were just chatting among themselves at a corner, didn’t recognize there were new customers being seated. We ordered 2 courses meal and desserts to be shared among 4 of us. However, the main course for the 2 courses meal took a long time to be served until we asked them again for it. It wasn’t a busy day and the service and attention wasn’t given. I won’t recommend this place unless you don’t mind the long waiting time.

Very expensive, which would have been acceptable if the service had been up to scratch. Coffee and cake were thrown on the table by a very surly female server and this seemed to be matched by most if the rest of the staff. When paying the bill by card the server held the card reader out of sight so had to ask to see the amount being charged. The service charge is a joke because service doesn't exist in this establishment which is clearly trading on an illustrious name. I have been to several branches of Laduree in Paris and this place bears no resemblance. Disgraceful and I recommend every reader of this review to avoid.

Went there for afternoon tea. The food was mediocre. The service was subpar. they kept messing up orders: try to deliver others drinks and foods to us twice, ordered milkshake but never came, asked for tap water but never came. Took them a while to get the bill and of course it was wrong (with milkshake on it) The decoration was pretty good and that’s the only thing good about this place.

The member staff that served us was really rude which was a shame as I love going here why I'm in town.

Cakes are £9.50 and they are not worth a penny . Really disappointing considering the bend and the price point . There is nothing special about their patisserie almost the same as the ones you get in supermarkets

Lovely spot in the heart of covent garden HOWEVER I had the worst aperol spritz of my life here. It was basically flat water. I asked for another one and it was no different. For over a tenner, I was appalled. Worth going somewhere less touristy for a better experience.

Macarons were fine, but coffee was absolutely horrible and tasteless, that was literally the worst cappuccino I’ve ever had, and took them 10 min to make. Dissatisfied, you need to employ different baristas or better to train your staff to make coffee 👎🏻

No offer box when packing the macarons

The lady who served us was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. We took just 2 minutes to order a box of macarons to go and she was on the edge the whole time. We were going to try some from the box right away, so I asked her not to put the sticker on. But then seeing it was a bit of a struggle for her to close the box without the sticker I was going to tell her that I didn’t mind the sticker on, when she snapped at me! Maybe she was having a bad day, but not acceptable if I am paying an arm and a leg for a box of barely above average macarons.

Very bad food and service. We came at 7.00 pm with the family and friends for a dinner.they told us to order quickly and to leave as soon as finished. The food was really bad. Scallops were cold. We were even obliged to leave the table to bring them the dish as nobody was coming to see us. The salmon was over cooked and cold. The beef wellington was overcooked too and warm up in micro wave. The crème brulée came not cooked. The chocolate cake came without any cream.... Well it was a disaster. street food is far better. It was expensive for what we ate.the service was very poor too. Restaurant to be avoid... Not good at all and expensive....

This is the first time that I criticize a restaurant, a disaster, very poor cuisine, catastrophic service, dishes were missing, the dishes were served cold because the chef had already left, especially don't go there in the evening, last order at 7:30 p.m., I didn't know this principle I will never go back there we even cleared our entrances

We went to La durée covent garden. The service was very poor. We came for a dinner and the waitress told to eat and leave very quickly. Then the food was very very bad. They forgot dishes. All the dishes were over cooked and cold, scallops cold for a main dishe, fish over cooked, the crème brulée not cooked. And a lot of money for a very bad dinner. Avoid..... Even mc Donald's is better.....

Love the first floor extension, so elegant and plenty of space! Had the morels omelette which was delicious, and the blueberry French toast is to die for. I also tried the hot chocolate during a previous visit which was deliciously rich. It’s almost like drinking melted chocolate, not a boring chocolate flavoured milk! They also recently launched a Bridgerton afternoon tea which looks absolutely delightful from what I could see at a nearby table. They even had a violinist playing the show’s soundtrack!

Tourist trap. They try to upsell everything without properly explaining the price difference. I ended up paying for a box I didn't need because the seller didn't mention the price difference when getting a box of 8. Pricier macarons were put in and just at the end they mentioned the higher price. Macarons taste was below average, texture was good though.

I bought a box at the shop and then had champagne on the terrace upstairs. Delightful. I wish I knew the name of the lovely woman in the shop and the charming waiter from the terrace. Their personal touch made my hour at Lauduree so enjoyable. ❤️

I'm a regular customer to this location for over 9 years, thus was my worst visit. It was raining and upon arrival the waiter down told me there free tables before I reach up another one told us its full, we asked to wait and suddenly again they said there Is a place free. Once we reached there was no customers anyway except us. Although we are alone the waiter's were rude and impatient as if we ruin their free day. Didn't feel welcomed nor comfortable during my stay.
