Spanish food "English style" since some tapas are not how they are prepared in Spain 😛, it is still good but a bit expensive

Great food and staff were efficient. However, I was given a food menu that had no actual menu inside and was merely a 'cover'. Staff weren't that friendly either. I'd go back, but there would need to be improvements with staff-customer engagement, etc, to make it worth our while.

As other reviewers have said, the food is average and the atmosphere entirely devoid. Edible but everything was average. Will I rush back there? No, but (as in our case, it was the only Spanish restaurant listing as open nearby on the Sunday evening we had little choice). Many other nicer places to go.

Cute little quaint restaurant in Pimlico! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and reminds me of a traditional Spanish restaurant, it has all been delicately and mindfully designed and it shows. The staff were not the kindest nor the most welcoming. The food was good but nothing to rave about and as a Spaniard I do hold quite high standards for spanish food. The pan with tomate was good, but it’s quite hard to mess such a simple dish, however the products were quite good quality and you could tell. The tortilla was my least favourite dish, it did not taste homemade and it was cold when brought to the table, would not recommend. The croquetas and calamares were nice but not life changing, they were okay overall. The best dish was by far the prawns, rich buttery and delicious.

After reading the reviews, we were expecting great Spanish food but our expectations were disappointed. It seems that all the dishes are prepared with frozen ingredients and there’s not much flavour. The staff were a bit inattentive and the prices are a bit pricey for the quality we had. Maybe the good reviews were for the old manager, who retired and is not there anymore. I’m sorry but I won’t visit this restaurant again, I can’t recommend it.

Decent Spanish meal. Have visited Goya many times and they gave changed management as the old manager has retired. I ordered the Solomillo but I was disappointed it didn't come with rice. It used to and I was looking forward to having it. This time it came with buttered veg and potatoes. Not bad but I would have preferred the rice. Desserts were nice too.

Have been loyalty customer of Goya for a long time.we love this place. Last night’s experience was different, very disappointed, food was terrible!!! Asparagus was overcooked, Chorizo was so bad, very watery and tasteless,we had to sent it back ! Grilled octopus smell bad and is not grilled as mentioned on the menu! Spinach is different recipes from what it used to be, sautéed with garlic and butter, now it’s spinach with tomatoes and lentils, taste funny with odds combinations ! Overall dinner experience was awful, we raised the issue with the manager but he don’t seem to agreed with us. Food standards dropped so very badly and service is a bit slow. It’s a real shame! We think they changed the chef. Not returning anytime soon.

It could easily have been nicer if the chef(s) had tried. (Are any of them actually Spanish?). The Gazpacho was dishwater and tasted like it. It was sent back and removed from the bill. The butterfly prawns were cold. The bread was soggy. The sardines were dry. My favourite (patatas bravos) were soggy too (should have been crispier in my opinion) but the sauce was nice. (could have been more of it). Everything else was average. The only thing they did well was to open the bottle of wine and pour it (but then they weren't really involved in the production process) Will I rush back there? No. Many other nicer places to go.

I have been going to Goya for almost 25 years. It is authentic, family run restaurant that transports you to Spain in being traditional, completely in-chain like and franchised (sadly like sooo many other restaurants these days) and where everything feels pleasantly understated and all about the food. We went again last night and it was so enjoyable. These are some excellent main dishes but we tend to order the tapas. The paella is really good (order it when you arrive as it takes 30-40 minutes, a real sigh of traditional cooking!) , the croquettes are to die for, the chorizo is stunning and simple, as is the spinach and chickpeas. Try the house salad also and the prawns/gambas. The service is polite and unfussy. Exactly as you get in Madrid or Seville. We tend to go once a month as a family for lunch or dinner and we’ve never walked away unhappy. It’s off the beaten path and I look it for that. If you are happy to walk 15 mins away from Victoria Station, you will find a slice of Spain hidden in plain sight in the heart of London.

Its probably more of a 3.5 / 5 for me but give it a 4 / 5 because its privated owned what I suspect is the restuarant manager who has also built a great team in the kitchen and behind the bar. The food itself was subpar for Spanish tapas, with the exception of the octopus and calamari which were both delicious. We ordered a lot from the vegeterian menu so I'm inclined to think the seafood section is better. I noticed other tables mostly ordered seafood. Fantastic value for money though and grately appreciated the low-key vibe of the restaurant, including interior design.

This evening we returned after a few years to this restaurant where we had a pleasant dinner, but this time we found truly rude service and poor quality of food, at least the little we felt like eating after the initial treatment given to us. They made us sit in front of the bar counter on a very narrow table altought they have a big local in the basement, then we kindly asked to make us sit in a table for 4 (there were 2 of this size, one reserved and one free); to be honest, I never found a waiter that, also having a almost totally empty local, rudely insists (he said what's the point of using a table for 4 if there are two of you in an annoyed tone) to place an engaged couple almost shoulder to shoulder with 2 other customers at the next table. Having lost our appetite and ruining our evening, we ordered 2 portions of fried calamari (I had ordered a other dish of small calamari which was supposed to be fresh, but it wasn't) which had a strong smell and taste of ammonia. Then we finished the calamari (with ammonia taste in our mouth, but we were hungry)and got up to get dressed and pay the bill. The waiter had already prepared it and he was following me with the piece of paper in his hand; I think he wasn't scared by suspecting that we didn't want to pay, but he just couldn't wait for us to leave, we think it works very well for him with many customers considering the low crowding of the place on a Saturday night at 9 pm. He probably doesn't like taking money, he definitely doesn't take ours anymore.

I really liked our meal here but was hugely disappointed by the chocolate mousse, for which, I had been holding out. Firstly it was huge (lovely, in theory) but, sadly, not at all light and airy. It was so thick and the sweetness in the chocolate seemed a bit ersatz to me. I'm a chocolate mousse addict and eat them wherever I can find them and, I'm afraid, this one was not what a good chocolate mousse should be. They charge you $3 or $4 for bread, the tapas, I got ham and chicken croquettes were just ok....they only give you 5 small 2 inch pieces and a small, what look like a poor salad (1 slice of cucumber, 2 thin slices of green peppers, 2 pieces of lettuce, and a big glob of dressing on top of it.) FOR $9/$10! WAY too much for tapas. I should have asked the waiter how many come in the tapas but all well, it was my first day in London and I was jet lag and hungry, so me and my family went here to eat a quick lunch/snack. We had a family celebration, a wedding meal of around 40 guests. We were seated downstairs. As there were so many of us, we pre-ordered our meals. I ordered the smoked salmon starter and chicken & shellfish paella for main. I requested gluten free on my orders as I'm coeliac. As a desert, they did an almond tart with ice cream-obviously, I couldn't have it, so they offered me Creme Caramel instead. My meal was delicious! The service was very good! They coped exceptionally well with such a large group, we weren't rushed in any way. I'm not sure how well they understood about coeliac and CC, as shortly after we left the venue, (about an hour) I needed to get to a toilet fast! It may have been CC or it may have been that he food was too rich for me as I didn't have any of the usual symptoms of being glutened.

An object lesson in tapas. If it’s a sunny day, get there as quick as you can in a small party of 3-4, order their only draught beer and enjoy a ton of plates. The service is friendly and efficient, with a family-owned vibe (no idea if that’s true). It’s not a big place but we didn’t feel rushed or hemmed in. The plates are all side plate sized and ridiculously varied and tasty. From the expected chorizo to fish and everything inbetween. The only questionable part is whether you can really see Buckingham Palace in the impressionist art on the wall … Westminster Abbey on the piece by the toilets, yes, but Buck house is a stretch.

Not offered water,or drinks order on a hot day let alone taking food order for 45 minutes. Constantly setting up tables for other customers arriving after us . Having given leeway as they were so busy Asked them to take our order after waiting for 40 minutes said that they would and proceeded to take orders from those that had arrived after us rather than ours. A Truly Disastrous Dining Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I have traveled extensively across the world, dining in numerous countries and I can confidently say that my experience today at Hush Restaurant in Holborn was the worst I’ve ever had. We arrived with two separate groups, my group of six and my staff in a group of three, each with separate reservations. To our shock, we were told that one of our tables could not be accommodated because they had given it away to two walk-in parties. Despite our reservations, they prioritised walk-ins over us, leaving my staff stranded with no table. Once seated, the nightmare continued. The food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, with no communication from the staff to explain the delays. When we inquired, we were simply told, “let me check,” and we were left in the dark for the rest of the meal. The service throughout was abysmal, slow, inattentive and completely unprofessional. When we finally managed to speak with the manager, we were met with excuses about being short staffed and having someone call in sick. To add insult to injury, when we expressed our dissatisfaction at the end of our meal, the manager’s response was, “What do you expect me to do? I’m trying my best. Write to HR if you have a problem.” This level of disregard for customers is unacceptable. I strongly urge anyone considering dining at Hush in Holborn to reconsider. There are countless other restaurants in London that value their customers and provide the service you deserve this is not one of them. Avoid this place at all costs.

Not very charming, plastic menus, one smells like burn after leaving the restaurant, food was ok, but not more than that

Came here for a work lunch when I was in London, lovely ambience, and the staffs were really friendly. Had the prawn risotto and it was flavourful and huge!
