No estoy seguro de cómo describir este pequeño lugar. Más como una reunión familiar que un restaurante. Sin embargo, la comida (y el servicio) fueron excelentes. Un lugar perfecto para tomar un bocado a un precio razonable, especialmente si se dirige al O 2.

Fancy going to an independant to support and this one was in a, side street and looked"cool". Sat outside in the sunshine and took in the surroundings. Good music inside too.

We have visited the Social Grill almost once a week for a while now and are never disappointed. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. The vegetarian, vegan breakfasts are always delicious! They provide really impressive options for vegetarians and vegans in comparison to many other local cafes. Great portion sizes at a good price too. We cant fault our favourite breakfast place!

I love Social Grill - it is a little bit better than a more established and similar place just around the corner - and has the benefits of being licensed. Is this cheap or what? 2 perfectly poached eggs on sourdough or granary or white toast for £2.50 or an amazing full English breakast to die for, or I'm particularly partial to their Turkish eggs. Generous portions, excellent prices, lovely staff, superb lunches, homemade cakes and great dinners at the weekend. Best thing that's happened to Boscombe in years!

Great little gem on Boscombe.With my husband or friend we go there regularly for breakfast (recommend poached eggs on sourdough toast with smoked salmon and avocado) and dinner (lovely polish food or Sunday roast).you have to try this place...oh...and such a good coffee

New management courteous service 4 omelettes inc 2 bottles of wine superb salmon etc one cannot complain about Stuart the new manager’s customer focus I will be coming back again for their healthy options portions brilliant

Just off Boscombe high street, quirky and fun with a very reasonably priced menu. I had 2 poached eggs on sourdough toast for £2.50 what a bargain! It can get very busy and noisy with small children, so not a place for quiet relaxation, but well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Nice laid-back vibe, cheap-n-cheerful can't go wrong eats (huge sunday roast!), ok beer options, all good.

I had been meaning to try social grill for a while as live in boscombe but its always really busy. Went in for lunch on a busy Monday and was impressed, had an omelette which was lovely and everybody's food around me looked great. Really reasonable prices too, staff really friendly... will definatly be coming back in.

Stumbled across this place on a sunny Sunday afternoon (our original intention was to try a Caribbean restaurant which was closed), and what a find this was! The kind waitress recommended the Sunday roast which was very tasty. Portions were really generous and a pint of beer washed it all down nicely. Shame not living in the area as this would have easily become one of my locals.

Three of us, one vegitarian had the full SG breakfast this morning. For myself and my son getting a good breakfast is hit and miss. Today was a hit. For my wife getting good Vegi breakfast is a real struggle. Not today, it wasn't a normal full breakfast with meat replacement, it was a whole new breakfast and delicious. Nice food guys !

We came to this restaurant to get dinner as we had a tour planned around Dorset. Great location near the Boscombe Main Street. The staff was very friendly. Great music! Stumbled across this place during a bank holiday road trip and so glad we did. The staff are lovely, the selection of food is great with plenty of vegetarian options, the portion size is really good and price extremely reasonable. The place is a bit quirky but immediately felt welcomed and at home. Would definitely stop by again if we find ourselves in Boscombe in future.

We found this found tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Relatively small menu but great food. We had burgers, lamb & brie and steak, stilton & black pudding. Delicious! Loved the option for sweet potatoes fries. It was Sat night and a group were singing (not in English, possibly Polish) we had s great time. Staff were attentive and eberyone was really friendly. Really glad we went and would definitely go back.

We stumbled over this lovely restaurant before going to a gig at the 02 Bournemouth.We had a chicken burger and a Aberdeen Angus burger. Both were absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection.The waitress was charming and very attentive without being overbearing. The prices are very reasonable and they have a licensed bar. What more could you ask?

Been meaning to try here for a while for post parkrun brunch. Better prices, atmosphere, seating and food. Ditch the 'nova and go here.

Highly recommend this lovely restaurant/takeaway. The meat is cooked to perfection using their rational ovens and come with a wide range of sauses. Everything is fresh and healthy, I love it.

Absolutely love this place ...My husband & myself found this little gem last year ....We pop in most weeks the food is amazing as is the service ...the portions are excellent we never leave feeling we have not had enough ...went in for a vegan breakfast was amazing all freshly made by the chef ..they also give the option of sour dough bread ....It also in my opinion does the best hot chocolate in Bournemouth with the option of vegan friendly milk ..All food is freshly made not out the freezer ...One word enjoy

We were visiting for new year and staying in Boscombe and at 8pm on a Sunday we went out to find some food. We saw tonnes of places-McDonalds, fried chicken, kebab etc that we didn't fancy and then we saw a small A frame advertising social grill and that it served food until 10pm. Perfect! We wandered down the side street not knowing what to.expect and what we found was a little gem.in Boscombe. I don't want to come across as ignorant but I think it's a Polish restaurant? The menu caters for all tastes including the veggie amongst us. Me and my boyfriend both thought it reminded us of a little backstreet gem you happen across on holiday- really gaudy Xmas decs, nobody else in there speaking English, a child crying somewhere out back and a discarded dolly on the bench. The food was a little slow in arriving, but other than that- wow! We both had a burger and they were delicious. The home made coleslaw was amazing and the portions were massive. We are so glad we happened upon this place. It's one of those great little places you remember!

We were ten guests at a reunion eating the Xmas Supper menu. Every single one of us said how amazing the Social Grill food is. Every part of every dish was super tasty. The chef did not add any of those heavy spices (chilli or pepper or garlic) that many other restaurants use to make a quick taste impression. And we were all impressed by the generous portions! So, then there's no room on the plate for vegetables and every person is served a second large side dish of fresh (not frozen) mixed seasonal veg! Well done,Chef. A nice touch with the interesting and generous quantity of Cheese & Biscuits is the extra walnut pieces and fresh slices of apple, celery and raw baby carrots. Lovers of desserts will be happy with the imaginative choices on offer. The coffee is a good roast. A big vote of appreciation to our waitresses. In spite of our group's noisy frivolity, they were attentive, helpful, polite, cheerful AND charming!

Came in randomly before a gig...Greeted by a lovely waitress who was friendly and welcoming ! Served promptly, amazing coffee and portions of food for a king! Absolutely worth a visit.

I have been having coffee here for a few months as my place of choice. The staff are lovely. Boscombe deserves this place. I have now had one of the breakfasts and top choice, even the baked beans had butter beans with the, Proper flat mushrooms and lovely toast. Really impressed. Def recommend and will make special trip to have another great feed. The grill itself is really relaxing with staff that are just so helpful. Top Place - Go there!!

One of the best Suanday roasts in town, great price and generous portions. Just one thing missing: a gammon option!

I love this place. I've been coming here for a year now and the food is consistently good, and the service (whilst not always perfect) is very good, and the staff always work hard to make sure they get it right. The atmosphere is really pleasant, and sometimes, like last Friday night, can be positively buzzing, with people drinking and live music creating a really upbeat environment. It's good for any meal, breakfast. lunch or dinner, and the strawberry frozen yoghurt 'milkshakes' are superb. Loads of other good food too, such as burgers, great omelettes, stews, sandwiches...I could go on, but you get the idea...

If you go there you MUST try ``BIGOS`` and shearing place with grilled bread, hearing, home made lard, pickles i know it sound strange but trust me IT IS DELICIOUS !!!

Really good food. The burger and chips were good. My husband enjoyed his omlet. Service was good too. Would definitely recommend this place.

Really good meals, especially vegetarian breakfast and burger. Waitress was really good and looked after us. Smoothies were fantastic, the beet root one was delicious. Definitely will visit again

Social Grill is a vital, vibrant part of the local community, featuring delicious food and beers on tap or in bottles, plus cocktails- all served by friendly, knowledgeable staff... serving many vegetarian and vegan options, plus burgers, etc, this place has a little something for everybody!!! they also have live music and poetry events, as well as an open mic (w/extremely talented performers) that has just begun on Fridays (the night i attended was awesome!)this charming, cozy, comfortable space is a MUST for anybody in the vicinity of Boscombe high street...

We had an early dinner of steak and red wine. Enjoyed every bit of it. Found the sweet potato fries yummo!

We visited this restaurant during a recent mini break to Boscombe on the 10th July. The restaurant was very busy as there was a birthday party in session , but they managed to fit us in and we weren't dissapponted with the food. My wife had the Ghoulash which was served with home made mash which she really enjoyed and I had the lambburger with Brie which was also very tasty. our waitress was very pleasant and dispite having to cope with a couple of annoying flies we still really enjoyed our food which wasn't too badly priced for the quality.

We drank & dined here 2 evenings. the staff were young friendly & fun. The food was tasty, plentiful & authentic. Great ambience & romantic for couples.

If your looking for good food this is definitely the place. The food is amazing. The prices are great. It has a nice seating area out the front facing the sun. More people need to know about this place to make it busier. The staff are very helpful and polite.

This place does the best vegetarian breakfast you’ve ever tasted. If you want meat it does that brilliantly too. Very big portions and good prices. Excellent coffee. Fast and friendly service. And on Sunday it does an amazing roast dinner. Or a delicious vegetarian burger with haloumi and avocado. Plus the best sweet potato fries you’ve ever tasted. We wanted something to eat, anything! We wandered into Social Grill and found a place with great ambiance, fabulous food and really personable service. All three people have particular food neds and we were all happy! Thoroughly recommended.

Well prepared food here, using quality ingredients. The staff and the ambience make it an ideal local place to catch up with friends or to feel welcome when relaxing alone. I can personally recommend the coffee, crab sandwiches, lamb burger, fish, salads... and friends have never been disappointed with their choices. Nothing is too much trouble and the chef has proved more than competent in catering for specific dietary requirements such as (both) meat and lactose free. I have visited the Social Grill frequently and most recently for lunch with a friend when I decided it's about time I wrote a review.

I was excited to try the grills after spotting the sign on the High Street. I am so pleased because I feel like I have discovered a hidden gem!A quirky relaxed atmosphere welcome you to this restaurant where staff are attentive and friendly.The food and drinks were served promptly and presented nicely. Portions were generous and the food was flavoursome.If you want a place to enjoy good food and have time to spend time with friends or loved ones, this intimate restaurant is a sure winner.

Friendly and very helpful staff here. The location could not be more convenient, especially if you choose a window seat and watch the Boscombe world go about its business.Good value and a realistic choice of food and drinks on offer.The eating/ drinks environment is quirky, interesting, and welcoming.Very much recommended.

What a great "hidden away" gem. I live in Boscombe and am proud to do so. People say horrid things and it's not cool. Boscombe is exciting and The Social is a fabulous place tucked away. I only had a beer to be fair but the fact they have movie nights on a Thursday is a big plus. This is a real locals place with some nice style twists. I will be back!

Service was a bit rubbish today and it's left me really annoyed. We ordered a vegan breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast and, after a fairly long wait, we were brought 2 plates of food that were not what we were expecting! A full English fry up (not vegetarian) and a meal that looked vegan but didn't look like the breakfast listed as there was couscous, kidney beans with olives but no sweetcorn and chickpea fritter. We questioned this and they apologised and went to take the full English away and go and make a new one. Not a great solution as then I would be eating my breakfast on my own while my partner waited for his to be cooked from scratch. As he is not vegetarian, but just didn't really fancy a full on breakfast, he offered to eat it instead of waiting and eating separately. We asked where the chickpea fritter was and whether my breakfast was right as it was so different from what was listed. They said they had run out of chickpea fritters so I had something different. No apology! And I had had to ask to get this information - nobody had come and said "I am sorry but we've run out of fritters but can we offer you couscous and kidney beans instead?" Because I would have said no! I didn't want cold couscous and cold kidney beans with olives along with my warm breakfast. We had been asked which bread we wanted from a selection of white, granary or sourdough, to which we both answered sourdough. When it arrived, after the pallaver with the breakfasts, it was granary rather than sourdough. We called the waitress back and asked "is this the sourdough?" To which she answered "yes!" It blatantly wasn't!! Was it embarrassment that they had got so much wrong?! But obviously they didn't care! No apology, nothing taken off the bill, just felt like we were being annoying questioning stuff. But really, it has totally put me off. It seems like a nice place, nice decor etc. But our experience was bad. I didn't enjoy my breakfast and didn't enjoy being made to feel fussy about wanting the correct order! Will stick to Boscanova in future.

Visited the Social Grill last week on an impromptu visit. Such a cosy place with friendly staff and good atmosphere. The evening menu for dinner starts at 6pm and we ordered some vino whilst perusing the menu. We enjoyed delicious halloumi and chicken skewers with roasted vegetables and an amazing burger served in brioche bun with pickles and a side order of bourbon sauce. . We had a side dish of sweet potato fries and a side dish of salad (spinach, avocado & apple)...(What is so amazing about this place is you can order a main dish together with a side dish for around £10)..you can have vino by the glass or bottle - and it is very reasonably priced. ...tap water is available in a glass decanter and this is gratis (no charge) - some places do actually charge for tap water! !)...we finished with some excellent black coffee. Overall this place is a real hidden gem. It is a breath of fresh air to find polite and courteous staff, excellent food and great service...Please do not be put off this place by any negative reviews or the fact that it is in Boscombe (actually tucked down sea road in a pedestrianised part) as it is awesome in more ways than one...In fact I have visited again for lunch and again encountered superb food and attentive friendly staff. ..big high 5 to the Social Grill...X

Been to this restaurant several times the last three weeks, food excellent, most of the staff excellent, one massive, massive, downside is the drunken shaven headed tattooed yobs that sit outside abusing people as they go past I could not believe it one chap kept on walking in & out the restaurant every two minutes being very loud talking to one of the young female waiting on staff, think it was his girlfriend, will be monitoring this place very carefully as I have just moved into & apartment on the boscombe pier area, the owner or manager really want to sort these yobs out because come winter the place will be empty, I am not the only person who as noticed most of my neighbours have said the same thing, on a final note I think it will be & excellent place once they sort the riff raff out......

Such a lovely and cosy restaurant. Freshly made food, really good smoothies and amazing Sandra, the owner. Cnt wait to visit this place again tmr. :-)

Six of us managed a substantial brunch for under £70, representing good value. Portions were tasty and generous, the smoothies were delicious and the service was prompt. I'd go again.

Lovely staff, forgot to leave a too and wish we had. The prices are very cheap yet the food is large and filling. Had a couple of yummy sandwiches, an awesome Thai salad and some drinks. As we were leaving the chef gave us a free tart because the crust was slightly damaged....it was delicious. Will be back. And they told us they do music in the evenings too.

We stopped off here today, just for coffee /cake. We sat outside with our dog. The seating outside was comfortable and it was a pleasant, not too busy walk through just off the main shopping street of Christchurch Road. Inside the cafe looked very comfy and nicely furnished and decorated in an interesting,individual way.The coffee was reall full of flavour. As I am not able to drink milk (intolerance) I have my coffee black so appreciate a great flavour without it being too strong. This was perfect and my wife had a lovely Latte. Her Latte wasn't particualrly hot so she asked for a little hot water and they obliviged with a tea potful. She had a cake which she enjoyed and I had probably the nicest (home made) flapjack I've ever tasted. They offered some water fr our dog but we had taken our own. I was a little surprised when we came to pay the bill..........they only charged me £6 which seemed too little to me but the lady confirmed it was right for two coffees and two cakes. They were a very reasonable sized coffee too, not too small (they only do one size) A dry pleasant experience.And the two young ladies saving were very pleasant and friendly.

Ordered a burger and a bowl of soup - everything fresh and homemade. Tomato soup was delicious with fresh bread. The burger was served with grease free chips and a fresh side salad and pickles - soooooooh good! - and reasonably priced too. Drinks nice and hot with hot milk provided with the Americano upon request - nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Well pleased! Will definitely go again.
