Sobar in Highland

The place was stinking, the toilets could make you gag and the upstairs bar smelt of vomit. Excellent place for darts and pool to be fair but the staff were not interested and couldn’t wait for everyone to leave

The 9 ball tables are not good to play. They need refurbishing for the price they charge. As do the snooker tables. I’ve not played the smaller 8 ball tables but they seem to be OK and used more. It was a lot better before when it was Riley’s.

Once again had a great time here. My son is 13 and we were meeting friends who also have teenage boys. The boys loved playing pool, and although there was no food on that afternoon, we got a takeaway McDonald's to eat in. Special thanks to Mathew for looking after us. Also, the adults can have a sneeky pint.

I spent around 20 minutes in here with friends but was unable to get served a drink amongst all the many clearly under age kids, who wandered around without masks and with no attempt at social distancing whatsoever. Very difficult to believe that this is allowed to happen while everyone else are attempting to stick by the covid regulations.

Gran lugar para lanzar dardos o disparar billar o snooker. Genial para salidas nocturnas con amigos o conmigo. Muchas pantallas para deportes también.

Estuvimos cenando el mes pasado, y nos gustó mucho. Es un sitio de juegos, tiene muchas pantallas de televisión de distintos tamaños, y la comida está muy buena. El local se presta a todo, y en nuestro caso, cenamos y vimos fútbol. La pasta está buenísima, y el salmón también. Nos pusieron unos refrescos enormes, y un vino blanco muy rico. Nos atendió un señor muy amable, que debía ser en parte dueño del local. Si volviera a Inverness, repetiría. Lo recomiendo.

Came in with mates a while back, friendly staff, quick service and good food! Travelled up from Glasgow for a weekend out, nice place to start the night

The food was good. Nachos for starter to share - OMG, enormous! Everything else also tasty! Lot of locals watching a match. Good for eating and also just for a drink.

Tanto para tomar una cerveza como para comer algo sitio bastante recomendable. Pub enorme, con muchas televisiones donde emiten deportes y varias dianas de dardos y billares. Tiene también mesas de comedor para sentarte a comer o cenar. La comida estaba bastante bien y no era caro

location offers dart an billard facilities. tvs showing sport events. a bit loud, but ok for a drink and a play of billard.

Had really good meal here, drinks arrived a bit slow but food tasted really good, we had fish n chips, bangers n mash and can thoroughly recommend the steak pie

Cannot comment on food as I haven't eaten here. However the atmosphere in here is great. The staff are pleasant, efficient and welcoming. I don't live in Inverness but I wish this bar was near me. There is more than enough to occupy a sports fanatic or a pool player or darts player but also really nice to visit for a drink for someone who isn't really into sport.

We had a meal and a few drinks, the veg was all fresh and in general meal excellent, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The establishment was probably described as a sports bar but the eating area was quite. I'd certainly recommend this city centre bar.

Went to Sobar last night with friends and can honestly say it was a first class experience. We sat at the window (4 of us) with the fantastic views of the castle right infront of us. The lovely waitress made her recommendations and we opted for the haggis tower, soup and garlic mushrooms for starters and each of us cleared our plates. 3 of us opted for the gorgonzolla steak and 1 chicken. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested and the cheese on top made a great change to the usual sauce offerings. Then through sheer greed we had to order the homemade baileys and malteser cheesecake and the huge banoffee tart to share and omg! It was heavenly. The atmosphere here was exactly what we were looking for when dining with friends, relaxed, chilled and totally un pressurised to leave the table when we were finished. If your looking for a fantastic meal in a relaxed friendly environment where the staff really do care that you genuinely are enjoying your night then this is definitely a must. Its certainly our new venue of choice. Thankyou Tony and your team

With apologies, I cannot recommend this space. The draught beer is universally blah to terrible. Staff is clueless. The atmosphere is depressing. I suspect there is too much space for what they offer.

Fui con mi pareja a pasar un rato por la noche después de cenar, tenían billar, dardos, bebida y comida excelente, música, trato muy bueno, en fin: un lugar para volver. ¡Volveremos!

Went here on Friday night. Fab location and views of the castle. Lovely interior. Large range of food and drink. Staff super friendly and efficient. Can't wait to go back.

We went there for a light lunch which was very nice. The ginger and carrot soup was delicious. There was a nice selection on the menu.I understand this is classed as a Sports Bar. It has a large open space with lots of seating. At least 8 dart boards downstairs and several pool or snooker tables upstairs. I believe you book the pool/snooker tables by the hour. We had a game of darts and it was very relaxed with music in background.There's also a large screen T.V.Location: Castle Street, nearly opposite the Castle.Parking: Multi-storey at Eastgate Shopping Centre. (5 min walk).Would I go back? YES.

Ré-ouvert depuis peu propose un chili et un texas beef délicieux. vous pouvez aussi regarder le sport sur écran géant, faire une partie de fléchettes. La décoration est moderne..
