So Good Chinese Cuisine Takeaway in Glasgow City

So good? I think so bad is more fitting. Received my order after over an hour and a half of waiting - fine. Only to realise they’ve forgotten items, called the shop to be told it’ll be a 2 hour wait, I questioned how this as it is their mistake and I ordered over an hour and a half earlier so surely they would make the missing items and send them ASAP. Wrong. The guy on the phones attitude was stinking and he was extremely rude and unhelpful. Told me they were busy - aren’t we all? Not once did he apologise for this mistake. He told me next time I order they will make it up - told him if this is the case I won’t be ordering from them again and to instead refund me to which he told me will need to go through Uber eats. Checked the food we did receive and the chips were extremely oily and the chicken curry cold. Will not be ordering from this place again.

1st time ever ordering from here but it will be the last ordered a chicken satay but that was definitely NOT chicken it was like blubber! A very very bland also very hot!

This is pretty good Chinese. The sweet corn soup was really tasty and not loaded with salt. I tried chicken with ginger and spring onion. It was okay.It wasn't as good as our last visit. Last time we had a take out for five people. The chicken curry was great; the sweet and sour chicken was lovely; chicken balls and chilli fries also great. Again not loaded with salt/MSG's which can often obfuscate the flavour. Worth a visit.

Ordered from here for the first time the food wasn’t up to par the only nice part was the salt and pepper chips , and the chicken in the chicken balls didn’t look right , safe to say I won’t be buying from here again

Ordered sweet and sour chicken with curry sauce instead of sweet and sour and they gave me a Hong Kong chicken with the curry sauce mixed into it. The food was on the bland side also for a curry sauce.

Food usually good, however pre-ordered before opening at 4.15 for 5.30 delivery and still waiting for delivery at 19.30. Had to cancel delivery at 19.35 as waiting far too long. Won’t order again.

One of the best value Chineses in Glasgow. Get the Salt and Chili Prawn toast!!

My local Chinese, never done me wrong and all the food is lovely and service is quick, workers also polite. Overall just amazing.

Honestly this place is amazing, lovely food at a great price. They are very accommodating and everytime we order the food comes super quick and is piping hot. the best chinese takeaway in glasgow!

Food would have been lovely if it hadn't been cold by the time it arrived, your female delivery driver Michelle was awful she was rude very ubrupt and didn't seem to care the food was cold not the first time either from this delivery driver, I would only use again if I could know it wasn't Michelle delivering for you! Ok where do I start Firstly I placed order on just eat within a minute I got notification it was on its way that rung alarm bells right away I knew it wouldn't be fresh or anytime taking to cook Secondly I ordered breast of chicken curry however these restaurants must think your daft and wouldn't know the difference wrong what I received was the diced rubbery non breast chicken I honestly don't see this place remaining open for long as I don't think they will be making much money. Curry was rotten watery tasteless and disgusting chicken. What I would like to say to people if you want Chinese don't go on just eat or anything pick up the phone and call Peggy's you will thank me later only reason I got from here as I was craving Chinese and Peggy's is shut for holiday so I ordered breast chicken curry as you usually can't go wrong with that What I would like to say to owners of so good go and try Peggy's breast chicken curry and you'll actually see what breast of chicken looks and tastes like also might give you a chance to taste good food. People of maryhill go to Peggy's you get what you pay for and it's amazing ignore all the rest of Chinese places in maryhill they don't match up with Peggy's .

Chinese takeaway on Maryhill Road. Good was lovely,fast and efficient The staff were a bit off!! Don't let that put you off though, food is good and worth the money

Tried here a few times now and everytime the food really had been exceptional you really can't fault. Rice everytime has been perfect rather than some of the sticky clumpy stuff you get from other takeaways, even their sauce is lovely while not being to spicy. Tried the chicken balls most times but also tried the chicken rolls tonight 🤤 be ordering again

Just tried chicken chow mein. Spot on. Not dry at all. Tasty delicate chicken. The best noodles. Yup, recommended.

First time ordering from here and have to say was really happy with everything, very friendly and polite when taking my order they got everything correct with my order. I ordered for my family there is four of us with different tastes and likes so of course ordered different things chicken balls, chips, fried rice with satay sauce, chicken chow mein and salt and peppers chicken with fried rice and gravy and everyone ate everything we were even given for FREE chicken spring rolls which we have never tried and they were beautiful was told how long it would take to deliver and it was within the time they said, only thing I didn’t get was menu that I asked for but will get that next time cause there will definitely be a next time from my family and will definitely recommend this takeaway. Thank you to the staff and the lady who delivered it

Have found my new favourite Chinese 😍 The food was amazing, piping hot and delicious. Will definitely be ordering from here again. The wee message on my free spring rolls was a lovely touch. There goes the January diet 😂

So disappointed. We always ordered from Mr Rice without any problems for many years. We had used So Good a couple of times and had been impressed. Ordered from here on 23rd December amd my daughter had inedible Chicken Noodle soup and a large black hair fried into a piece of the Salt n Chilli chicken. Needless to say this wasn't eaten either. We will never order from here again.

Omg! Ordered from this Chinese tonight for my dinner it was amazing, arrived earlier, was piping hot , all the right food was there and to my surprise they added a few fortune cookies. Differently highly recommended 👌 I will definitely be ordering from here again

Loved this place when it was mr rice, unfortuately it changed hands and went down hill, thankfully the guys at so good are fantastic and always have amazing meals, clean rice etc , cannot recommend the bbq sauce enough the stuff is fit for kings.
