Snowflake Luxury Gelato in City of London, Westminster

Vimos Snowflake Luxury Gelato presentado en el canal de YouTube de Food Insider y queríamos verlo durante un breve descanso de cuatro noches en Londres en enero de 2020. Pedimos un Avolato (producto novedoso que es helado de aguacate servido en la piel de aguacate con una bola esférica de helado de mantequilla de maní) y algunas tazas de helado de pistacho, helado de tarta de fresa y sorbete de frambuesa. Las bañeras eran generosas a las 3. 70 cada uno y el avolato fue de 9. 50 La elección fue limitada a las 4 p. metro. el domingo 5 de enero de 2020 debido a un congelador defectuoso, pero esto no fue un problema. No soy un gran fanático de los helados personalmente, pero disfruté el helado de pistacho. Mi hijo de 10 años y yo compartimos el aguacate que sabía sutilmente a lima o kiwi y era muy agradable, no recordaba particularmente al aguacate. El arancel era de 20. 60, que es claramente caro para tres tarrinas de helados y un sorbete, pero bueno, esto es Londres, este es el salón de comidas Selfridges, este es un helado de lujo.

Intentar pedir un helado simple de 3 cucharadas en este lugar fue horrible. El servidor simplemente no podía entender lo que quería. Pedí una taza con 3 cucharadas o helado y un batido de chocolate. También pedí un chocolate caliente porque estaba seguro de que no iba a comprar mis 3 bolas de helado cuando las vi sentadas en una licuadora. Terminamos con un batido con 3 bolas de helado que sabía a vómito y chocolate caliente. Cuando finalmente terminó de hacer el chocolate caliente, lo trajo a la mesa, así que le dije que queríamos un batido de chocolate por centésima vez. Y eventualmente lo cambió aunque ya me había tomado mi chocolate caliente. Mal servicio al cliente y no es un gran anuncio para selfridges en general. Tan contentos que le dimos otra oportunidad y fuimos al mejor en Soho.

Avolato 9. 5 5  - El nombre Avolato proviene de la combinación de Aguacate y Gelato. Está compuesto con un 60% de aguacate y se presenta en forma de aguacate real con gelato dentro de la piel de un aguacate. Con pequeñas gotas de jugo de limón, resalta el sabor mantecoso y la textura del aguacate sin perder la frescura. El helado en color marrón está hecho de mantequilla de maní y semillas de lino, que aporta la dulzura sin cubrir el sabor del aguacate. El aguacate es puramente vegano y sin gluten, lo que promueve el sentido de conciencia ambiental de las personas. CERO estrellas Querer comer demasiado caro comer helado en una mesa. El área general era cruda / sucia. El personal no está dispuesto a limpiar mesas y está muy distraído. Después de 3 intentos de conseguir una taza de té olvidada y una mesa limpia, dije que el servicio es - - - y me reí mientras él seguía hablando con un par de mujeres.

Popped by after a sushi lunch in Selfridges and was lured in by the look of the "avolato". It was on the higher price scale and I wondered if I was being lured in by style over substance but alas no! It was so refreshing, unique with a subtle avo taste. The stone was made of a peanut butter gelato and was divine! Yes it's a treat but a great one and I'd definitely return to try others. My step daughter had a double scoop of the chocolate ice cream which was delicious to. If you're thinking about it ... do it!

Ice cream bar, tasty. In Selfridge's, opposite marks and Spencers. Will try avocado ice cream next time.

Was so intrigue by the avocado ice cream and had high anticipations.... went to try during my 2nd day in London. Firstly very limited sitting so expect to stand or walk with ur ice cream Ordered their avocado ice cream... it was so firm... not creamy smooth... really need to dig into it... couldn’t taste the flavour of avocado as well... thk goodness I had Gelupo earlier

Anyone who has read one of my gelato or ice cream reviews knows I have a thing for pistachio. This one was pretty darn good. I got a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of pistachio and loved both of them. I wasn’t in good ecstasy though so just four bubbles not five.

The Lotus flavour was so delicious but the Biscotto kind of just tasted like cheap supermarket vanilla... the counter was a bit chaotic and the lady working served someone before me who walked straight up to the counter even though I was there first. Still a nice sweet treat for a Tuesday afternoon.

I was excited when I saw what Snowflake offers. All those amazing quotes on the wall, nice interios and gelato. But, in reality, you pay for a good marketing. For a nice wall, chair, quote.. despite we decided to order in, at the table, the service was not any better. Super-slow and each of us got the portion in 5-10 minuted of difference. So, imagine 4 of us, when the first received a cup, had to eat it not to wait until it melts, so when the last one was served, thi first just looked. Shame for the price you are paying. And products - super-over-rated overall. From cute macaroons, to regular ice cup.

I often like to migrate to this little Snowflake pop up in Selfridges after work to drown my sorrows in a medium sized tub of Hazelnut and Biscotto gelato. Depending on the season and time of day, the counter is either buzzing (which means you can't get a seat in the designated Snowflake area) or dead. Either way, there are other areas to sit in Selfridges in the vicinity. The gelato is nice and creamy. Biscotto is so delicious, it tastes like custard with crunchy chocolatey-biscuit pieces. I really do enjoy watching people walk by whilst I enjoy a scoop or two of my favourite frozen treat. The staff are always happy and friendly!

Came here to try the avocado gelato. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It tasted more like lemon and it was really sweet. The seed looking portion of it was really good. The sitting area on this location is very small all they have is three tables. Is it cool need idea to have the avocado gelato shape into a real avocado.

Its definitely not the best gelato we'd had. I'd rate it below average. The gentleman behind the counter didn't seem to know what he was selling, we had to point out the flavours to ensure we received what we were ordering. Wont be visiting again

We came here in Christmas Eve as part of a birthday celebration. The staff couldn't really be bothered and we felt like an inconvenience. They had no fresh strawberries or blueberries as they'd not ordered any due to it being Christmas Day the next day....

Booked in for the famed ice cream afternoon tea. Turned up to the 'parlour' which is a dirty little corner in the store. So disgusted we cancelled the reservation. Not a nice place to stop.

I had the salted caramel gelato and it was AMAZING. Some of the best I have ever had. the sweet salty ratio was absolute perfection. My only regret is I didn't get a larger size.
