Placed an order as I always do. Same order. Was NOT busy when the order was placed. Requesting chicken guogons, NOT chicken nuggets. When I got home and opened the box it was nuggets. I telephoned the shop only to be insulted by the member of staff stating " I only cook the orders". An inexperienced staff member was left to take orders and wrong at that. I was told she had left for the night. I had telephone an hour before closing!! They don't seem to understand, it doesn't matter what way the food is cooked if they take the wrong order in the first place. I said I would speak to the manager and her answer was "good luck with that'. Interesting, what is message to a customer supposed to mean? Shocking customer service. Training needed all round. I note your reply indicating - the owner. Not sure what difference the time frame makes to the concerns explained in the original review. I made my order at 19.45 and waited 15 minutes for it. I opened the box later as I was travelling some distance, hence the timefarme and phoned immediately. Clearly there was nothing could be done as the mess had already been made by snack box. It is the poor service, untrained staff being put at front of house which appears to have caused the issue. I have noted on my visits to this outlet a high turn over of staff!! Speaks for itself. I also witnessed the male owner be verbally aggressive to staff members when I was present in the shop on one occasion. This response from the owner is another example of the bad customer service attitude. As a customer I should be able to leave my review and should expect a professional response. It's a shame that this kind of response to a customer who is genuinely upset by the wrong order and poor service should be met by such poor attitude form staff on the floor and the owner who wasn't there. DISGRACEFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. There are more fast food options available in Magherafelt now. There is a new opening of McDonalds as an example. Customers don't need to put up with this attitude, especially as the food is very hit and miss and can be very greasy. I would implore you to train your staff and and indeed yourself. It would be advisable in your capacity to count to ten before replying to a review as it is unprofessional and really not good for business. Customers are people and should be treated respectfully. Any business relies on customers to keep the business going. Your business is no exception and would be important to remember that.

Cannot fault snack box. Food is always fresh, generous portion sizes, quick delivery and pleasant staff. Consistently good food. Highly recommend.

Absolute disgrace the price of the food, £3.25 for a small curry chip and I mean it's bloody tiny!!! A double decker burger is priced £6.25 asked for a double bacon burger with cheese 1 shitty bit of bacon on I'd say 2 2oz burgers almost £9 absolute rip off! Put up your prices by all means but don't cut your portions!!! It's been a long time from I've seen those teeny tiny burger boxes

Waited an hour for frozen food that's been reheated. Rotten. Such cheap food and the price is ridic. Edit: So this error couldn't have happened because you've no record of it? so basically because I didn't ring up to complain? You're correct it was actually 1 hour and 10 mins late for delivery hence why your delivery woman apologised and said it took her "forever" to find my house(ill attached the SS if you'd like). So that's where the latest comes from. Maybe ask your delivery driver about that one. No need to get in contact with the shop, the food was late and rotten. You know yourselves the food was rotten. First few times was decent, last time it was shocking.

Stopped off at the Snack Box while shopping in Magherafelt. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who promptly took my order. I ordered a portion of Cod for approx £6.50 and a tea to take out, spending under £10 ☆ The fish came with a side of salad or a few chips, I opted for the chips, I thought that was good value for money, The fish was delicious, very fresh and a generous portion, it was very tasty, the chips were thin chips not my favourite but we're lovely as well, so I'd say it was money well spent at The Snack Box Magherafelt, the Tea went down a treat as well 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ to The Snack Box On a side note, I noticed their burgers were fresh Butcher style burgers and not the frozen type, so I'll definitely pop in again to try one of those

Hasn't changed much in years and grub is still great.

found a piece of wire from a scrubbing pad in my batter. ordered 3 pieces of chicken and only got 2

Never in my life eating here again! Ordered food last night, came soggy and looked like it was just dipped in oil and sent out the door. Have been vomiting since having one bite.. I have had rough times when getting from this place, but last night was the last time I'll ever out of somewhere so disgusting and stomach wrenching, like snackbox again! DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE.

Small portions expensive wouldnt recommend

Southern fried chicken burger never disappoints

Beautiful food, really filling and tasty but girls really need to wear hair nets as we found some in our food. Plus during our whole time in shop I never once saw them wash their hands after handling raw food

Long standing business that does brilliant chicken. The usual chippy style menu. Bar style seating available. Kids menu available

Best chicken in the town…. Paired with the best chips 😊 Dinner box or Deluxe strips box is the best as the smaller box is simply not enough lol

Get on the Southern Fried Chicken Burger. They got that game on point! Chips are great if you open the box really quick, like most skinny fries they get moist if you let them sweat in the box, that burger though, holy mother of all that is good and gracious.

Fish was burnt and the chips weren't even half cooked.

A favourite place for my family for a quick take away. My favourite is a snack box, which the Southern fried chicken is very tasty. If I'm extra hungry, then will go for a dinner box for that extra piece of chicken. Have a good selection as you would expect in a chippy, and have tried a wide variety and never fails to disappoint.
