Food was fairly decent considering it was very busy, service is good

Perfect service from our server June. We could not be more helpful.

We arrived at 7.00 for a 7.15 reservation to find that the building was closed. We had booked and No one decided to let us know it was shut even though we booked TWO weeks ago , and No one had the courtesy to contact us, so we had time to rebook else where ,As this was for a birthday

Chris the manager was fantastic and a credit to the company, he made my daughters birthday today. Excellent service even though they were rushed off their feet

Interior getting a bit tired and worn, Food and service very good.

Staff were minimal but brilliant, can't say the same about food. I had the mixed grill, ½ chicken breast, sorry pigeon breast was nearly bite size, eggs were mostly uncooked. Our granddaughter had the burger which was bone dry and totally inedible, I would say it had been cooked and then rewarmed to order. Not the best beefeater I've been to, needs a lot of improvement.

Enjoyed a good meal here with family, made up of 3 separate parties last Friday. Staff were happy to wait until we all had arrived, even though some were delayed due to heavy traffic and travelling long distances. Food is of a good Beefeater standard, reliable. The service however was impeccable! Congratulations to the manager (sorry I have forgotten your name!), and all staff. The Manager was so friendly, helpful and really built a rapport with us all with his attentiveness and good humour which was appropriate for the 5 year old right up to us 60+! Thank you for making our evening more memorable and well done on your customer service. Highly recommended!

The food is a bit small but the server (June) was really lovely.

I recently visited this Beefeater during a holiday trip and found it to be a great experience. The food offered good value for the money, consistent with Beefeater's standards. The atmosphere was nice and cosy. However, the standout feature was the impeccable service. The staff consistently checked in with diners to ensure everything was satisfactory. One server, in particular, named Michaela, left a memorable impression with her clear, distinct voice, jovial demeanour, and complete professionalism.

Dine in Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Excellent service and attentive staff. June and the other staff go above and beyond. Ate Breakfast and Dinner

Manager Very welcoming and added bonus, dogs allowed in bar area. Great choice of breakfast, both continental & cooked all unlimited. Our American cousins were in awe. Would definitely recommend

Food was as usual excellent and served really quickly. Lots to choose from, all fresh and tasty. I asked June to turn down music in the kitchen as there was also music playing in restaurant. June was very polite and friendly.

We stopped by for a quick English breakfast. We waited more than 55 minutes for food. Fried eggs were served almost raw. The food was served almost cold, only the hash brown was a little warm. People at nearby tables also complained about the long wait. The coffee from the coffee machine was good. I wouldn't want to go back there.

Very slow service. We are waiting for an order 55 minutes. We are coming just for a quick breakfast, lost over one hour.

Every time we visit friends we come here. Food is fantastic, a good selection and always so tasty. We came for tea last night, Ellie's service was a 10 for me. Super polite and friendly and her energy was lovely. Breakfast this morning was time sensitive, June seated us straight away, even without a table booking which i thought was great! Food was served so quickly and was freshly cooked. Danielle was so lovely, really chatty and engaged with us which i really liked and wished us a good day. Made me smile. All round service is absolutely spot on! We will definitely be back when we visit the area!! See you soon ! X

June and the other servers were lovely and the food matched

We arrived early for our booking, but June accommodated us, no problems. Pat cooked the eggs for my husband perfectly (my husband is an awkward sod when it comes to food!). A nice clean restaurant.

Lovely Beefeater for food and service

Travelled three hours, was looking forward to a few drinks, only to be told a 21.40 on a Friday evening they were closing, staying the weekend but won't buy won't be wasting my time on this venue. Well I take back my words back, what a difference night to day, daytime staff cant do enough for you, excellent service and hospitality, five star for the day shift team.

Bit tired. We couldn't get a table in the restaurant so we had our meal in the bar. Tables were covered in crockery from previous customers. At about 9:30 they told us they were closing so we had to leave.

This place has really upped it's game and is a lovley place to visit.I had a lovley birthday meal there with my Mum and my partner.

Cold good long wauting times 2 hrs not good at all and thet were not busy and no communication to let us know

My burger was burnt and difficult to cut with ordinary knife. Waitress was excellent 👌

A bank holiday weekend, one chef and one bartender, unless you booked you didn't eat, lucky we weren't going to eat, the food isn't good anyway, but friends had traveled a long way and were staying in the premier inn next door, they ended up in McDonald's, the beers fine and you can't blame the staff, the managers need to sort it out

Excellent food and friendly great service by June.

First visit for lunch. Mixed grill and surf and turf, typical pub food but both very tasty. Staff were lovely, very attentive and polite.

Food was impeccable. Both the Evening meal and Breakfast were the best I’ve had in a long time. Service by June at breakfast was great too.

We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel and got meal deals. Breakfast was decent, our server June was fantastic every morning. Dinner was good too. Cool looking pub

This place is next to a premier inn and was shut at 10.30on a Friday night. How times have changed.!!

Went to the Smuggler’s Haunt branch in Ferndown and Ava genuinely gave us the best service experience we have ever had, very thoughtful and respectful, highly recommend she gets a bonus. Food was also delicious and music played was very good as well.

Awful place, the furniture is ripped and filthy. Many of the staff are poorly trained and unprofessional, sitting on the floor, forgetting drinks and condiments. Dirty tables were left for almost an hour after patrons had left and the place was full of tiny flies.

Food has gone downhill, steaks have been hit and miss, prawn skewer was overcooked & the garlic was too much. It was more garlic then dish. It was abit disappointing its like a expensive hungry horse or whether spoons.

Awful food simply the worst meals I've ever eaten, gave up after my 4th attempt. Friendly staff and good place to have a drink though.

We booked a table of 7 for a 80th birthday party lunch. The service was fantastic. The food was excellent. (was not a great fan of the gammon). Atmosphere was good. All in all 5 stars. well done smugglers Haunt we will be back.

We always thoroughly enjoy our mails at Smugglers haunt. The staff are always incredibly friendly and our little toddler is always greeted so nicely and the staff are wonderful with her. The food is always nice and even when busy, staff are still attentive.

Visited again recently. The service was excellent. Food was good and atmosphere was comfortable - not noisy but chatty.

Turned up in the morning without a booking, but despite this there were no issues at all getting served. Fast, efficient service from June, and the cooked breakfast was fresh and piping hot. Perfect set up for the day.

Late review but my husband and I came here for mother’s day with our 9 month old son. They had a mother’s day menu special and it was going to be our first evening out to a restaurant with our baby so we wanted something local to us so that he could be home for a decent bed time. The food was great, service was quick and it was great value for money with the deals. We had chicken wings to start and both had burgers which were lovely. They also offer select refillable drinks which is nice. But we really want to leave a review for Lucy, who served us. We are young parents and we were feeling anxious about taking our little one out in the evening and whether he would disrupt all of the other people there. Thankfully we had quite a bit of space to walk/rock him around as we pleased which helped a lot but Lucy was so friendly and chatty with us that it made us feel so much more at ease. She interacted with our son everytime she came back to us which really made a difference and he had a great time and we were able to have our meal without causing too much disruption to anyone else there. We look forward to coming back.

The food was good. We turned up at just after 12 midday to be told they weren't open yet and anyway we'd have to wait as they needed to mop up a spillage. Checking the website, they are open from 11.30am!!!!! So not a good start but after that everything was okay, staff where friendly and we all enjoyed our food. Decor is not the best and all the seats we were sat on looked as though a great big dog had spent a few days chewing them.

Such a lovely breakfast today. June looked after us so well and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back again!

Am so disappointed the service was appalling we were charged full price even though only allowed 1 sausage,no sugar, no butter. Have been a few times but will not be returning after today's experience

Thought as I love a rack of ribs, I'd have the full rack looked nice on the menue photos, when it arrived on the table it had already been coated with some sort of spicy coating (not mentioned on the menu). The meat , not much on the bones, tasted like it had been boiled coated in spices and not enjoyable at all, the chunky chips all seven of them ,weren't at all bad, the corn advert may as well not of been there the two slices about an inch thick. Altogether a waste of money better off going to aldi and buying the boxed ones and doing them yourself.

The food is excellent very clean eating establishment. We have eaten a lot here over the years.

Ava and Joe were fantastic. We were a large party but they both made us feel more than welcome and accommodated us all. Always made sure we were okay and had everything we needed. They’re both absolutely fantastic and an asset to the place and team.

Never cleaned wheels and car properly - wasting money and time.

Upon our arrival, we greeted the receptionist three times before she accepted our greeting. All seats in the restaurant section were booked, so they directed us to the pub section. The tables and floor were littered. There were toys, used chocolate wrappers and all kinds of trash everywhere. No one from the staff came to tidy up our table, so in the end, due to the immeasurable dirt and lack of interest, we preferred not to eat anything. I don't recommend it to anyone. We will definitely not come here again, and we love Beefeater restaurants.

Went there for an all you can eat breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere, service was a bit slow, had a full English breakfast, went for a second but was told that they had run out of sausages, bit surprised about that as it was only 9.50 in the morning. All in all, very enjoyable, got my money's worth

I meet June every morning for my breakfast, what a lovely lady . Made me feel very welcoming. Dinner the same very welcoming.

Had breakfast here, was met and looked after by June, who was excellent, as was the food. Difficult to define the atmosphere as it was early morning. A good experience.

Well I'd like to give a review for the food but we didn't get that far. We arrived yesterday morning for a breakfast. We were passing through whilst travelling so didn't book. But told there was nothing available and we should of booked. There were a vast amount of tables empty! Gone be the days of just being able to go out and eat somewhere without booking far in advance!

Christmas dinner with a large group in mid-December. The service was excellent, and the food good and plentiful. Find the quality can be a bit hit or miss in these kinds of places, but it was really tasty. They were well organised, too, and service was very smooth. Would definitely come back again!

Went to the smugglers last evening for sisters 70th birthday as usual awesome atmosphere and staff were brilliant ,friendly ,service was first class, thank you very much once again .

All good, but fish was mediocre, but the smoked salmon, prawns, cocktail was surperb. Everything else was excellent, and the waitress was fun.

This is a great place for breakfast on the weekend with the kids. I was here today with 3 adults and 5 kids and it cost lest then 30 pounds. The food is good too. You should definitely book in advance, because with the kids eat free deal it very popular. Be good and give the service a good tip! They are really amazing,but very busy, so they deserve a good tip.

An evening meal for Xmas with 11 work colleagues, service was slow, some food was cold with seemingly no care applied to the cooking. Disappointed ☹️

We had the Christmas menu, great value for money and portions are a good size, the cheese fondue, pate and goujons all lovely. I had chicken burger and chips, burger nice , chips undercooked and lukewarm and the coleslaw had too much parsley in it, I couldn’t eat it. The gravy on the roast dinner was very thin, but the roasts potatoes were good. The puddings all yum, cheese and biscuits and the ice cream sundae. The parking is great here, if anyone has walking difficulties, it’s perfect. We had eaten here many times, today wasn’t the best we’ve had . Service was good though.
