Smokin' Grill in Redbridge

Me and my colleague came here for lunch as we had an easy day, we ordered from the lunch time menu and the food was great and he didn’t mind we were in work clothes. Friendly guy also

To start with we had the Smoking Prawns and Houmous. The prawns were tempura prawns and crispy, the way I like them. My husband enjoyed the houmous as it was quite garlicky. For our mains, I had lamb steak and hubby had chops as both enjoy lamb. The meat was flavoursome and cooked to our liking. The menu had various other options to choose from including burgers, pulled beef/lamb and steaks. We ended our evening by sharing a cookie dough dessert. This was light but rich so am glad that we shared. The ice-cream complimented this very well. I also took advantage of ordering a pina colada mocktail since I noticed a good mocktail menu. This was delicious and was made exactly how I like it, with little or no ice. I was very surprised how quiet this place was considering it was the weekend and am hoping at least one of you will want to check it out after reading this and seeing my photos. The restaurant has a modern decor and the prices are as expected for this type of establishment, not cheap but not overpriced either. The menu is halal so would attract Muslims and anyone else who may wish to eat halal food. There is also a kids menu so great for families too. I could envisage schools kids going in and having a milkshake after school (Wed to Fridays) One other thing I really liked apart from being local was that there is free parking right outside it. Claybury Broadway just off Woodford Avenue, has a parade of shops with a small parking area outside it. I would go again so hope you will too. 🤩🤩🤩

What a GREAT find!! real gem! food was fantastic, reasonably priced too,. spoke to the owner who was friendly and attentive at all times, highly recommended, will visit again, soon. Found through thefork which was a bonus, but was willing to pay the full price as I was so impressed! My favourite, the main reason why I visited this establishment, was because they served T-Bone (I'm an expert when it comes to this cut) it was the best I had and couldn't finish!

I recently visited this place, after hearing so much good reviews from friends/family. Unfortunately, I must say it was a horrible experience so many things went wrong that evening. We ordered the mixed platter from the menu and Homous with bread. Firstly, the Homous was tasteless, didn't even have any flavours was very bland which was disappointed and I paid also £4.00 for this. Secondly, when our food was presented on the table the chicken and meat were not hot/sizzling it's was it was warm. Again, from experience you would have thought it would have come arrived at a sizzling heat but this didn't happen. Prior to our order we asked for the lamb chops to be well done and it arrived uncooked, so we had to ask for this to be re-done again. As for the chicken wings it had a very foul spell and a strange taste which again really put me off the food. We attempted the chicken thigh and again it had a weird taste which we had to leave on the plate, just couldn't finish off the food. These issues were addressed to the manager and he assured us that the chicken were fresh however we asked him to taste the Wings but he didn't and offered us chicken shish as a replacement to the wings. In the end we didn't want to kick up a fuss even more, and when we came to pay they only offered us a 5% discount and waved off the service charge cost. In my opinion the service charge is optional as a customer so that shouldn't have even been offered in the first place. This was an absolute nightmare and will definitely not be coming to this place again. As much as we had high hopes coming into this place to celebrate a birthday party it was shambles. Customer services was that great either. The place has alot to think about and I'd it wants to be a successful business things have to be changed.

we tried out smokin grill last night for the first time in clayhall. we were not disappointed. the burgers were delicious together with the lovely steak cut chips. also ordered special platter. cannot fault it. glad we have found this good quality take away, will def be ordering again !!

We were looking forward to dining here once it opened but the government lockdown meant that they were only able to open for take aways and deliveries. The decor looked great so it’s a shame we couldn’t eat in yet. We ordered some burgers and a mix platter and were REALLY impressed! The packaging was top quality and held the burgers in place with a clever design. The logo stamped on the brioche bun was a cool touch too. I can honestly say that the beef burger was one of the best I’ve ever had... right up there with Five Guys. The patty was hand made and cooked perfectly, still moist in the middle and not overcooked and chewy like most places. The mixed platter was as good as any Nando’s I’ve had. Well done to these guys and wish them the best of luck. Please keep the quality up!

Beautiful restaurant, with a quick service, lovely tasty chicken burger, well sized portions my daughter loved her kids meal just right, will go and eat in once the lockdown is over.

Went to Smokin' Grill for a quick bite and was VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of their food. Ordered a classic chicken burger with rustic chips for myself - very tasty. My partner wanted something spicy so she ordered their AK47 chicken burger (they give you a choice of beef, chicken or lamb) which had jalapeno poppers and nachos inside it. Very nice. Gourmet level food with good size portions. Excellent decor - had to get takeaway due to COVID restrction but will definitely be eating in when allowed. Highly recommend checking it out. Definitly one to check out for all you foodies out there.
