Came here yesterday with a friend. I had the double classic burger and Fries. Also had 2 hot honey buffalo tenders. It was all banging fairplay. The guy working was really sound aswell and fairplay to him he was working on his own when we arrived and he had take aways going out the door, people in the shop and he was cooking. Will definitely visit here again.

Service was what you should get whe. You are paying for quality food. Even after food was brought to the table the server came back and brought a variety of sauces for me to try. The classic burger was one of the best burgers I have tasted in a long time. Thank you Aaron white for your service 10/10

Fantastic Food we went for the double XL meal deal they do which included 2 Double Burgers Large Fries and 4 chicken Tenders (£2 Extra charge) for £36 which I think is very good value for money. Atmosphere is Great lovely Decor inside would highly Recommend and will visit again soon

Best chicken tenders I’ve ever had in the UK

Had a lunchtime meal and really enjoyed it. The chap taking the orders and doing the cooking was really welcoming and helpful. The food is definitely worth a try. The menu is simple, burgers, chicken, fries, sides, and drinks. We had the two double smash cheese burger, 4 piecevchicken tenders, six mozzarella stick, and two lots of seasoned fries all freshly cooked and drinks, which came to just under £20 each, but you could go a lot cheaper and there was a lunchtime offer for £10 per person. The chicken tenders were probably the best I could remember eating, tasty melt in the mouth chicken, then didn't taste over fried, just perfect. The burger was just burger and cheese just as the menu said it is; it needed a bit of sauce for me, which is available, and I guess if you ask, they would put on. That said, the burger was well cooked, not dripping in grease, and was a reasonable size. The chips come seasoned or unseasoned. We went seasoned and they were really nice. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The decor inside is well maintained, and the fake grass look really works. There is a "secret garden" in the rear, though I didn't check it out. The entrance is street level and accessible. I didn't check the toilets.

Ordered Mac and cheese and got stale mozzarella sticks that were stale and bland Fries were stale with 0 seasoning, pulled pork tray is just slop with a 2 shreds of meat Chicken tenders are good quality but bland

Dropped in as I was passing and what a result! The guy that was in there was an absolute gent. I went for the Double Spicy smash burger and it was delicious and unbelievably tender and juicy.

10/10 all around the board everything blended beautifully and the dart challenge was fun even tho I missed

My husband and I had a really lovely time here before the rugby last weekend. Absolutely loved the vibe inside, it’s a nice escape once you walk in! The food is to die for. I tried the PB&J burger and a jammie dodger sundae which were just lush. I’d definitely come back and il be telling my Cardiff friends about it. For now, I hear there’s one in Swansea too so I be checking that out for our next cheat day!

Very friendly staff and great food

Absolutely fantastic food! Took my son for lunch, he had the Ranch burger, I had the PBJ burger. Both were piping hot and tasty, we even had extra chips and onion rings thrown in too. The Milkshakes were nice and thick and full of flavour. The service was spot on, the guy was there by himself serving and cooking but we still only waited around 15min for the food to arrive. 100% recommend and will be returning 😋👍🏻

Food was amazing and service was even better. We were a big group and all our meals came out at the same time and piping hot. Akhir couldn’t do enough for us, even bringing our babies food out early as they were getting restless. Highly recommend.

Hands down one of the best burgers Ive ever had! This is place is a real gem, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Patties seasoned and cooked to perfection in the softest buns, reminded me of Burgermeister in Germany which was my all time favourite burger spot but not any more! Smoking Griddle is so much better, will definitely be returning!

OMG! It's been 2 weeks since I had the PB&J Burger from the Smokin' Griddle van at Bute Park Light Trail but I'm still dreaming about it! 🤤🤤 I'm pretty sure I'll be adding Peanut Butter to all my burgers forever more! Guys your friendly chatter was awesome and the burger and fries just divine - no idea what the seasoning was on those fries but day gud bro! Ver gud! 👌👌

This is an excellent eating place for a treat night out. On a vibrant and well loved shopping street in the Canton area, city centre end of Cowbridge Road. Food is laid out nicely on a tray. And each component separate, this is amazing for anyone who is neurodivergent, who has sensory needs, who may struggle with food touching. Problem solved here. Friendly and approachable staff. Went the extra mile to offer me a new sauce :) Nice decoration throughout the building. No need to book. Come on in. Pick up a menu and away you go. I give this eating place a glowing 5 out of 5, and if it was out of 10, would be 10 out of 10. Some of my favourites are onion rings and the special combination of the burger. The burger was pleasant and had a nice texture with all of the different ingredients. It also stayed together intact - always a win. Waitress was lovely very informative but the Spicy Smash burger left me disappointed no spice at all ordered a pot of cheese sauce it had no flavour not even cheese flavour 🤦‍♀️🤣 consistency was runny bit like water not a sauce consistency was absolutely devastated 🤦‍♀️ partners burger was a ranch burger he liked his and his dirty fries... Was very expensive considering what was ordered for 2 burgers 1 normal fries that came free with smash burger and 1 dirty fries which you have to pay for anything that goes on them so £4 fries £4 pulled pork £2 cheese etc you see where I'm going with this one and the "cheese dipping sauce" £5.50 I say that lightly as it actually tasted like nothing and was runny like water ... other smash burger places do boxes filled with mozzarella sticks burgers chicken tenders mac and cheese and dirty fries for £20/£25. Regardless except the cheese sauce there wasn't alot to complain about realistically even though my burger was supposed to be spicy and wasn't it was still nice just not what I was expecting I'm just a spice snob I was expecting some kick .

Ordered off Uber eats and my burger bun was not even soggy it was straight up soaking so i couldn’t eat it properly without it falling apart. The vanilla milkshake had no flavour at all like it tasted like they forgot to add the flavouring completely and I found a brown hair in my milkshake - I have blonde hair. I ordered smokin griddle 2 years ago and the food was amazing it just seems like it’s gone downhill and for how expensive is it, it’s just not worth the money. Although the last time I ordered something they forgot my drink and were quite rude by telling me there was nothing they could do but I took it with a pinch of salt because I enjoyed the food. I’ve seen they’re now a chain restaurant id say that explains maybe why they’ve gone downhill as their focus is not on the quality of food but the money made to the company:/

The food was amazing. The portion sizes were perfect for the price and the flavour of the signature burger was satisfying. Aaron was a great host and the staff let us stay over the closing hours for dessert!

Came in for a quick bite with some friends , nice vibe to the place greeted by the staff and he explained he was the only one in so the service would be as fast as he could , he explained the menu and took our order after serving our drinks he started cooking our food and it came out promptly. I can highly recommend the milkshakes and the comeback sauce is top notch with a nice little kick! The burgers were delicious I had the classic and the ranch burgers which reminded me of Wendy’s burgers back in the states . Overall great experience and would recommend

I complained to George about cold food, late food, missing food and a burger that fell apart ….. he said he’d sort it out Months later no reply I got him up and he send me a torrent of abuse… Just found the records guys…. Griddle buy in the cheapest beef, buns, sauces, frozen fries, frozen moz sticks, frozen tenders, and all their sauces….. and to boot George is a super rude unhelpful owner…. Can’t take criticism ……tried kicking back off at me? Your store is empty cuz you sell utter boof , can’t handle the truth…. Up your game…. Uour in csrdiff now ….. not romforkm, we have standards here. Hence why no one eats this garbage! Order times take ages, buns fall apart and George is a jumper up owner who thinks he does no wrong…. I've had a few deliveries from here and they have always been really quick to arrive and the food has been consistently delicious. It's expensive for a burger, but well worth it in my opinion. A really good service. Even when I've ordered for delivery near their closing time.

Ordered food via UberEats and I will never order again. I ordered a plain cheese burger, I bit into it and it tastes gone off, it literally made me gag when I bit in to it. The other food wasn't great either, the bacon on the mac and cheese was black and rock hard. The garlic mayo tasted sour and off too. Never again, turning my stomach thinking about it

Take your money elsewhere! Just over £30 for one meal to arrive stone cold, chicken burger over cooked and burnt bacon, received the wrong item which I paid extra for. Don’t even bother ordering a dessert waffle can’t even get a dessert right! was like it had been microwaved for 10 mins rock solid not even edible. Won’t be returning.

Just ordered through ubereats never really have a major problem ordered the duo xl there was hair in the milkshake only seen because straw was to big to fit in the hole so took the lid off then another one in the chips 🤮 I feel sick to my stomach don’t order from here

We popped in last week to takeaway, for seven people, burgers and fries each plus lots of fries. They were so busy with orders that they had to pause their online orders but we still weren’t waiting long. The man on the desk (didn’t get his name but long hair, very friendly) was really helpful and explained options and portion sizes etc. By the time we got home the food was still hot enough and everyone said how amazing it all was. Yes, it’s a “pricey” option when you compare to giant pizza deals from the likes of Rocket Joes, but you get what you pay for. Cannot fault the service, the people or the food. We didn’t realise you could eat-in so next time, that’s what we will do. Enjoy :)

Ordered through UberEats and had the Duo XL meal deal for two. Both burgers were awful, dry, tasteless and over cooked. I had the Black and Blue burger, and I’m not even sure if the blue cheese was on it, but if it was I couldn’t taste it. Chicken and chips were average at best but needed reheating in the microwave. £43 in total too which is not cheap.

The food is quite nice, however the prices are too expensive for what you get. £11 for a small burger with no salad on it. Milkshake was decent, however again small for £5.50

Burger was nice, the toppings in the dirty fries were good too but the fries were half cooked ended up throwing them out.

Sadly my last visit, i drive quite a while to pick up a takeout and it’s been awhile since my last one. It wasn’t until i was half way home did i notice that the burger I ordered wasn’t the burger I got! The mass of chips were just sodden with sauce and the what use to be amazing Dunkin’ sauce well now you could grout your tiles with. In the beginning when it opened it was delicious but each time i visit it hasnt been that good so this evening is defo my last time. Shame really but to spend £30 for burger and chips it really should be good quality food.

Was an amazing dinning experience overall. The staff were teriffic and really seemed to care about us enjoying our meals. The food came prompt and was perfectly cooked. The staff made sure to check on us throughout the evening to make sure we were all ok. Would definitely recommend as a place to go with friends and family we will 100% be going back.

This place has a 2 star hygiene rsting ut displays a 4 in the window for a start, i feel sick. Food was absolutely horrid. My burger was pink inside which means it had been cooked a while ago and was left in what I assume to be gravy.. workers in the building were lovely, the owner on the other hand. Smelt like grease and spoke like grease too. 100% slimeball. Will not be returning, will be reporting to EHO and will be letting everyone know about this dump.. ps sort out the rats roaming around the back you dirty owner

Place has gone down hill massively, portion sizes and product quality has gone terrible, and the service is non-existent. I used to recommend this place to friends and family as this place was top tier, won’t be doing that anymore after this experience. basically paid £21.25 for a small milkshake and half a patty in a bun and some chicken nuggets.

£22 for burger chips and 6 chicken strippers which were like chicken bites..food was nice and it was at temperature but the size of burger was like a tablet and the strippers haha what a joke #Happy #meal portions..

Tiny portions not woth the money

Went on the weekend amazing burgers and amazing service super friendly and told us about money off our first order. Everyone needs to try a Smoking burger 🍔 😋

Ordered for the first time, upon delivery of my food milkshake was not delivered. Contacted the restaurant instead of dealing with their error they started playing the blame game it’s Ubers fault apparently. Be sure to check before u order from this place. I will not be ordering from again.

Waited 3 hours for our food. We were lied too on several occasions over the phone saying the food was on its way. After the sixth phone call we made to politely ask for an update, we were then told it wasnt even in the kitchen yet! We then got hung up on. We had no choice but to go and collect our food and then had to wait another 15 minutes. Terrible, especially considering we were loyal customers but we will never be returning! I appreciate it can be busy but to be told the order was on its way so many times, to then be hung up on and not even have an apology!

3 hours I am currently waiting for my food. For the restaurant to blame uber for not picking up the order. I spoke with a young male who expressed they were extremely understaffed which I can fully appreciate. However I have been lied too about what the eta is multiple times and was very unapologetic. I have eaten here before and the food is beautiful but this experience has really put me off purely by how it was handled. I asked to speak to a manager but was informed that there was not one present. They have not offered me any confidence in me actually getting my food that I was looking forward too. In future if there is a unforseen circumstance such as understaffing, please can you communicate with your customer that there will be a delay. 0/10 Service

Every time I order my food it's late every single time whether its a weekday or weekend. Waited nearly 2 hours from the time I placed my order. Ridiculous considering how expensive it is. I could have driven to Tesco got the ingredients for half the price and stil cooked it quicker than the amount of time I've been waiting. In the end I had to go down an collect my order 2.5 hours after ordering after being lied too numerous times about my order being on its way. Never again

I'm sorry I didn't get the names of the lads who were working on Monday evening. You were all awesome! Just a genuine and nice vibe about the place. We came in as a treat for my kid sister who was starting college. My loaded fries were top notch and I would say they are the best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back!

We have been wanting to come here for so long after having one of their burgers a couple of years ago at the Merthyr Mawr food festival. The burgers were unfortunately not as good as we remembered. The burger was slightly small for the bun and there wasn't that really juicy beefy flavour we were blown away by previously. The blue cheese burger hardly had any blue cheese sauce on it. The burgers overall didn't really stand out from a lot of the other burger places in South Wales. The Mac and cheese was a simple pasta in cheese sauce, it was enjoyable but not amazing. I was expecting something a bit more complex with seasoning, maybe a crumb top and baked in the oven. The milkshakes were the star of the show. We got one chocolate and one banana, both with lotus biscoff. They were divine! I would definitely return just for a milkshake! Overall, a solid meal. It didn't meet up to our expectations but we still polished off the lot.
