Phenomenal food, good tunes great service. French toast was a winner.

Came for the cheazy e and got to taste of the dipping burger which is absolutely amazin katsu loaded fries are loaded with flavour and chicken on top so tender. If burgers are you think then go to this place . Massive portions. So fillin. I would 100% recomend . Atmosphere is chill decor rustic comfy thanks guys!!!

Went here after seeing it online,dissapointed with our experience to put it mildly,I got classic burger with fries on side ,burger bun base was saturated in what looked like grease,fries where average,wide opted for fish n chips with mushy please,what got served was three fish goujons? No mushy peas??? Only thing i can reccomend is the pot of tea,waited a while to be served and waited again for bill had to ask twice, dissapointed !

Tried here for the first time on sunday and i must say it lived up to the hype, also managed to move our table earlier & fit us in. Food 10/10 couldn't have asked for it any better, slight delay which we totally understood it was busy. But big shout out to chloe & larissa amazing people and a credit to this place, always a smile, nothing was too much and took some stuff off for our wait, made us feel so welcome and seen, so guys thankyou, this is best service we have ever recieved. (Back this sunday it was that good)

Phenomenal. We've previously judged burgers by our usual haunt in a famed BBQ joint in nearby Dennistoun, Smokey's usurps that now. Great value for money. Excellent music but could do with better speakers. Looking forward to going back and we don't often find ourselves saying that nowadays. A real find for us.

The service was very poor. It took a long time for the food to come. We had to wait outside but the staff said there was no gas for the heater so it was very cold. We finally got moved inside, and the food came one hour later (longer than an hour really). If you want a seat indoors, reserve beforehand - otherwise, don't come. Food was great but not worth the service. Will probably order delivery next time.

Smokey Trotters offers great service and a quirky, kitsch interior. The burgers and chicken are solid choices, though the sauces leaned too sweet for my taste—personal preference, of course. Overall, a good spot with a unique vibe.

A very unique place with lots of character. Dead Elvis and Bootleg burgers were incredible. Staff are friendly and talkative. Will be back very soon to try more things on the menu as it all looks delicious. I have to try one of the items with Bucky pulled pork.

I honestly can't rate smokeys enough beyond 5 stars, first food place in 25 years on earth that I genuinely can't find a fault in. I've never went to a place and genuinely loved the look of the full menu! Slowly working my way through it trying something new every time I go, nothing bad at all. My number one recommendation is the oniony onioniest onion ring, I'm not even kidding they're like crack to me, so good!! The food is so good it gave me contractions in the weeks leading up to my little ones arrival! Literally sent me to hospital with contractions, my little one enjoyed the food that much she wanted out to have more😂 The staff aswell are by far the nicest most accommodating staff of anywhere I've been to. Nothing is too much, you can tell that they love working there and it's a great environment for them to work in. They treat both me and my little girl and anyone we go with so well, like family! They have a huge toilet with a changing table for little ones which stunned me to see they've really thought about everything. The place is spotless too! Honestly by far my favourite place to eat at and I can confirm the food tastes just as good delivered or as takeaway! The chicken tenders are amazing next day in the air fryer and any leftovers are boxed up if asked and taste great at 3am during night feeds. This place deserves more than 5 stars. Thanks smokeys!

Loved it. Good was delicious. Hubby said the veggie burger was the best he had ever tasted. The only negative point I would say is the door is right beside the tables and it was really cold, especially at this time of year. Didn't spoil it though. Going back soon. 😊

Every time I come in here, I feel like I’m in Brooklyn again. As a Kansan who lived in NYC for many years, it’s important to me to find a great burger and fries. And every time I order a burger or breakfast sandwich here, I am always impressed at the variety, not to mention the quality. Come here, try everything, you’ll be happy, satisfied and super full!! This is a cute little place with outdoor seating - rocking great hip hop with excellent, friendly staff and an amazing menu!! Iced lattes in skeleton heads are also pretty cool :) Thanks for being such a great burger and brunch place! ❤️🙏🏼

Best burger in Glasgow. Had the classic, everything you could want in a smash burger, not a fault, will be back for the Elvis. Wings were good, would suggest the buckie bbq and alabama bbq be separate as they overpower each other a bit, lovely big juicy wings and good coating. Have gluten free buns.

This hotel was is very good service

£14 for a burger no chips included just the burger. - felt a bit mislead from social media showing big burgers, was an average burger with a slice of haggis on it nothing special about the same size as a McDonald's burger, the bun was probably the tastiest part that's what got the extra star. Service was good she was nice and smiley. Atmosphere was a bit bland Eminem on repeat 3 times was a bit much lol.

Went there this week at lunch for a burger. Had the classic with bacon. Oh my... it was amazing.. perfect level of smokiness in the sauce, bacon tasty and the homemade marinated beef is heaven!! Pricing is just perfect for the great food quality and the quantity. My go-to burger place from today on! Last but not least, service is great. Relaxed and considerate.

First impression, cool AF. Funky decor, tunes for people with taste 😎. An epic fit for purpose, you better bring a belly joint. Burgers are the best in Glasgow in my opinion, but the additions and sides make this place. Heard they got a second venue too, be there shortly. Happy happy man ☺️

It was freezing every time someone came through the door - but that’s what happens when you visit on a -1C day. Decor is sparse but characterful - don’t come expecting luxury, this place is all about the food. We got 2 burgers, mozzarella sticks (with Cheetos crumb!), poutine and chicken tenders. All pretty solid portions, too much for us to eat (which is saying something). Everything is delicious. We will return, for the mozzarella sticks alone. Love that this is in the east end - can you open another branch in Baillieston, pls and thx 😂

There was a big queue of folk wanting to go in and we initially weren't too keen on waiting the quoted 30 minutes but the family in front of us told us to wait as the food was sooooo worth it. Three members of staff on and they never ever stopped and the young slim dark haired chap-total legend by the way- kept us all in the loop and I can honestly say that I've never seen such hard working staff in my life. They all had fantastic personalities and the young lassie server was an absolute darling. Nothing was too much trouble and while we had a bit of a wait we were also suffering from a massive dose of food envy on seeing others food coming out. The last thing I'd have ever expected were a bunch of grannies getting wellied into their food while listening to Snoop Doggy Dog Dr Dre and Blackstreet but young and old were all tucking in and this young lad was celebrating his birthday when out of nowhere the server put on Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder came out with a caterpillar cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to him! Lovely touch, and although I didn't think the portions were particularly big, they'd done their homework because everything came out piping hot, and we were absolutely stuffed. Several diners got theirs put into a takeaway container and got to take it home. Whoever the chef or cook is are amazing, and the whole place had a great vibe. Loved it and would recommend it a thousand per cent. Would come back for the craic alone! Worth the 400-mile round trip, and thank you one and all! I'd the macaroni cheese with pulled pork and BBQ sauce. My beloved had the fish chips and pickled onion plus crushed pea mayonnaise, then a Vietnamese coffee and I'd an Irn Bru float. Clean plates all round!

Came for lunch after a walk in Glasgow green. Pram/baby friendly. Good changing area in the restroom and room for the pram to come in. Friendly staff! Good food, we had the iced Vietnamese coffee, chicken tenders, salt and chili fries and the hot Cheetos mozzarella sticks. They have outdoor seating too. Lots of wall paintings to look at!

Fabulous food and first class service

Visited this place for a friend's birthday over the weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was incredible, the staff were exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. We'll definitely be returning!

Got the Nashville Style Hen burger and the Korean fries, both were amazing. Really great service and vibes. Definitely will be going back!

Had a lovely lady serve us last night around 8pm, didn’t catch her name but she had a pony tail in and brown hair- she was so so nice and helped us with the menu choices. The food was delicious, quick service, the venue is really nice too. Great decor and very clean toilets. Cannot recommend this place enough, a great gem 🤩

When I find something I enjoy this much, I tend to use this term so often, but, so here I go again! “what’s not to love” a great find in the Barra’s. Amazing food that does exactly what is says on the tin. Punchy fresh flavors, generous portion size, the friendliest of service. So much choice, love it! Well worth a visit.

This is the 2nd visit in 2 weeks, and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and friendly. The decor is a vibe. We liked the Smokey Trotters Kitchen, has some inside and some outside tables, the staff is super friendly and the menu has other options too besides burgers that I think is is the best part. We liked the crispy onions and chicken tacos, the burger was very juicy but I didn’t like the tip sauce. Recommend it!

An eclectic and unique venue serving unique dishes, many of them with an Asian fusion twist. It's extremely dog friendly too which is an added bonus. From the menu we ordered the Dirty Dipper, Korean and Ooft chicken tenders, Mac Cheese with Stornoway, crispy onions and sriracha and the Katsu fries. The food was delicious, and very unique to the premises and would merit a 5* rating, however it is quite expensive and the portions are on the small side. In all, I will definitely return and would recommend if you wish to experience a unique venue serving quality food.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Smokey’s, we had a fair bit of waiting but it was like the guy said the food will make up for it and it did! My only criticism would be wheelchair users be prepared to sit outside (it does have fantastic artwork on the walls to admire) there is a step into the main eating area inside with a narrowish door - I highly recommend they maybe invest in a portable ramp that can be used to get people in & out & maybe on their socials to say what the width of their door is. I’ll definitely be back though!

Visited here today for the 1st time and was not disappointed, from the moment we stepped in the door we where welcome by a lovely guy who's name I didn't catch but he was very nice ans helpful with suggestions as we couldn't decide, glad we listened to him, the chicken tacos are absolutely beautiful, don't even start me on there snobby fries and the onionest, onion rings! Well all I can say is GET THEM! Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu 😍

Best burger ever, ever, without exception, diamond place in an unlikely location, you won’t be disappointed here, no really! Yummy! Don’t salt your chips though, my only complaint! Don’t know how to reply here, chips were too salty, I am a low salt person, but I’m nitpicking, burger was awesome! I’m @ the Barras every Sunday, btw lol Ixx

Such a lovely place. The food was all top notch, with kid food options as well. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to our 1 year old. And any establishment that is dog friendly is a plus in our books.

We seen this place on tiktok so decided to eat there but when we arrived a women was having a medical emergency. So we left. I hope she's fine but the place looks cool.

Went there for lunch today and got a warm welcome from the young lassie who served us.korean tenders and truffle fries were superb and we didn't wait long. Server came over for a chat and made sure we were happy. Great experience all round and we will be back.

Can't recommend this place highly enough the burger was absolutely top class the chips were perfect the onion rings were nice and crispy but the biggest reason for the 5 star review is the staff!! We popped in this afternoon for lunch but unfortunately as soon as were seated our autistic daughter had a meltdown so we decided to leave, a member of staff followed us out to make sure everything was OK and to see if there was anything they could do, we were given menus to take with us incase we wanted take out. After a wee walk we ordered some food and waited in the car then walked back in to collect our order and sat at one of the outside tables to eat our food. Will definitely be back here

Best burger I ever had and the loaded onion rings were fantastic!

Amazing little restaurant. A hidden gem has been used in other interviews and it really is . You could easily walk past it but if you do venture down ally way you'll never forget the place !! The art work , atmosphere and vibe just draw you in !!! Was greeted by the lovely and very patient Brooke , who waited why I kept changing my mind on a vast and brilliantly tempting menu, everything sounded so good . In the end I went for the Dead Elvis burger it was an absolutely amazing burger so delicious. Cannot wait to revisit and try the tacos and chicken wings , whom the table next to me had . Gave me food envy . Thank you very smokey trotters kitchen for a great dining experience!

This was my 2nd time visiting Smokey Trotters, visited on a Sunday dinner time, sadly there wasn’t any tables available inside but that’s not the fault of the restaurant, we turned up without a booking. (It’s not the biggest place so if you are set on eating here I’d advise booking beforehand). We agreed to sit outside, still has a nice wee covered area that would be a lot better in the heat of the summer. I think we waited around 30-45 minutes for our food, there was 3 of us, a couple of burgers ordered and a few sides, it wasn’t a crazy amount of food to take that time, but you can tell the making of the food isn’t half-arsed. It’s good quality meat, battered well and presented even better. (Also worth mentioning that because there was quite a bit missing off the menu due to them not having it, they took the price of our drinks off of the final bill, which is a bit of a class act you don’t see very often). I think for the 3 of us, it worked out at around £20 each, and for the quality of the food I’d say that’s worth it, but as I said, it’s certainly worth booking before hand.

Popped in for a late lunch/early dinner and glad we did. Service was great, and an awesome vibe. Got the bootleg big mac which was incredible. All the burgers on the menu looked fantastic. Love the selection of sauces/dips. Only reason it drops a star is that the onion rings are frozen out a bag efforts which is disappointing especially at £5.50 for the privilege. Same could be said about the wings (I apologise if i’m wrong) but the buffalo sauce was dynamite so they get pass marks. Definitely wouldn’t stop me returning that’s for sure. UPDATE: Probably would’ve helped if i’d read the menu item above what I ordered noting they’re bought in onion rings. duh, my bad. I stand corrected on the wings so in that case they slapped. Defo 5/5.

It was everything I had imagined it would be. We have been trying to get here for over a year maybe more but understandably very busy on most occasions. We had the most amazing meal and can't wait to be back to try more of their menu!

This past Saturday, my partner and I ventured to Smokey Trotters, lured in by their reputation for epic burgers. Stepping through the doors, we were immediately greeted by a welcoming vibe that felt more like a friend's place than a restaurant. For a hip hop fanatic like myself, it was like finding a kindred spirit's living room. The walls pulsed with vibrant murals of hip hop royalty - Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, and Notorious B.I.G. The soundtrack perfectly complemented the décor, pumping out classic and contemporary hip hop beats that added an undeniable energy to the atmosphere. Now, let's get to the main event: the food! My partner, a burger purist, dove into the Classic. I, on the other hand, opted for the intriguing fish tacos and fries. I snagged a bite of the burger, and it lived up to the hype. It was undeniably juicy, with a perfectly seasoned patty that earned a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. The fish tacos were flavorful as well, boasting fresh ingredients. However, they did veer a bit on the oily side, which wasn't quite what I was craving. The fries, however, were a revelation! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were seasoned to perfection and disappeared quickly. Despite the slight misstep with the oiliness of the tacos, the experience at Smokey Trotters gets a solid 8 out of 10. The atmosphere, fueled by the hip hop music and artwork, truly elevated the entire dining experience. While the burger may not have been a life-changing revelation, it was still a satisfying choice. Next time, I'll be sure to explore some of their other offerings, like the loaded fries or maybe even a chicken burger, all while soaking in the infectious energy of this hip hop haven.
