Staff are always friendly, drinks were reasonably priced and the interactive darts was great fun. Will definitely be back with the family.

Brilliant night celebrating my husbands 40th. Good food, great selection of drinks, very entertaining way to spend an evening. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great night- love the ordering system. Only wish we lived closer but we will definitely be back !!

First time we have been to Slingers 🎯 , we love going to Smokeworks in the City Centre but decided to try here for a change .. vibrant atmosphere when you enter the bar.. food tables are downstairs, it has a similar menu to their other restaurant but chose the burgers as they aren’t on the smokeworks menu .. we all chose the black and blue burger ( BBQ pulled beef brisket , blue cheese and blue cheese sauce ) IT WAS AMAZING .. so tasty , flavours really complemented each other .. hands down best burger we have had in years .. we were all so impressed .. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The shakes are recommended too .. we ordered the Biscoff shakes & I had a hard shake with Baileys and chocolate liqueur.. only criticism is it didn’t last long enough as couldn’t stop drinking it 🤣 service was great & staff very friendly.. 10/10 thank you 🙏

We came for drinks and darts on Saturday afternoon. Haven’t played darts for years so weren’t really expecting to enjoy this as much as we did. Good range of games with different difficulty levels. You don’t need to be good at darts to enjoy it. I really like the service lights, I’m glad they kept them since it changed from just Smokehouse. Drinks are decent prices too.

After previously having been to Smokeworks, it’s safe to say that we enjoyed Slingers even more, with great staff looking after us and showing us how the darts worked, it’s great fun even if you’ve never thrown a dart before! I went for the baby back ribs once we sat down for food, messy but delicious. We will 100% be going again.

Arrived 10 minutes early and our dartboard and area was waiting for us. We were two family members short so waited at the bar with Lily serving us drinks. Once the full family were together ( family of 8) we played , games were varied , Elliot was helpful and so was Tomas and other members of the team… any problems and they were there… v helpful. From start to end communication was brilliant , as we were a large family I wanted hour and half which was accommodated but be warned you might have to double up on playing so it won’t be you just playing as yourself… ( think over 6peeps). Kitchen closes at 9 so as we finished at 8.30 pm we had already preempted food and just gave the list to one of the waitresses… it came quick and as ordered. No complaints on food front or drinks. We will definitely be back - fun times

Great food & great atmosphere. The sauce not only on the pork bites but also the burgers is outstanding. They have an extensive drink menu with a great selection of cocktails and beers. The restaurant itself was welcoming with great music. Our server, Rian, was extremely friendly and attentive. The whole staff really made this meal an enjoyable experience. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in Cambridge looking for some good BBQ and drinks.

I visited here last Friday night with my partner, having never visited before. I am so incredibly pleased at everything about the experience, the whole team could not have been more accommodating and caring. I have food allergies and the management and wait staff were incredible to cater to my needs and still give me an amazing experience with wonderful food, keeping everything accessible to me by changing the sauces etc as well. I could not have been more pleased! Such great value for money, the safest I have felt eating at a new restaurant in years! The team should be so proud of themselves for the great service they provided and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!

We loved this place. The food was really good and the staff were brilliant and so friendly. Before visiting I wasn’t sure about how the kids would find it as I couldn’t see a kids menu. The guy explained when we got there that there wasn’t a kids menu but they could do basically what they wanted from the menu in a kids portion. One of ours had the chicken burger but cut into strips with chips and our eldest the chicken burger but we asked for as smaller portion. It was slightly smaller than the adult portion but not much! They only charged us about £7 for each of the kids meals. Excellent experience would def return. We also really liked that you switch your table light on when you are ready to order or need another drink etc. the staff were literally at the table in seconds. Can’t fault it really. Well done!

We had an excellent time at this restaurant on Saturday 05/11. The food was excellent and fairly priced and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere too. The burgers and ribs were very hearty and the menu had a pretty good selection. Also - shout out for the service; Both Mario and Gemma (or Jemma?) really looked after us. Mario made me an excellent negroni and Gemma was super attentive - they should be recognised! Thanks so much - we will be back!

Excellent method of alerting the waiter, worked really well. A good vibe with 90s rock music (not too loud) and industrial decoration. Generally ribs and burgers and a good selection of drinks. Service was friendly and welcoming. Toilets were clean.

My wife and I - both getting on in years - booked here on a busy Saturday night. We were ushered downstairs to a table we did not particularly want. We must have been the oldest people in there by about thirty years. For us, the music was too loud. We asked them to turn it down, which they did. The service was good: friendly, attentive. You turned a light on when you wanted something and they came straightaway. We did not have to wait long for our food. We had the Works: barbecued ribs, chicken, loaded fries etc... The fries were luke warm but the meat was tasty. The price, £42 for 2, I suppose is what you'd expect for Cambridge. The drinks were expensive and the selection strange for old codgers like us. All in all, I enjoyed it more than my significant other. It was nice to hear The Who and Deep Purple again Don't go here if you want a quiet romantic meal.

Whilst walking to the station last night, I looked in on the new bar area of the Smokeworks restaurant now called Smokeworks Tap on Station Road. A big improvement! So much so that I decided to stay a while & have a glass of wine. Really comfy seating area & somehow it seems bigger too. Was really tempted to stay longer, but I had a train to catch. I’ll definitely be back.

Just called in to check out the refurbed bar area of SW Station Rd & I must say it looks great! So much more welcoming & worth hanging around in. Think I could happily sip a cocktail or two in there. Love the comfy sofas too. Good wine selection & cocktails too. A new venue on my list.

Disappointed doesn’t cut it, we booked a table for 18 people, the tables were split and we were not previously informed of this, we arrived at 6 mains arrived at 7:15, everything had been pre ordered and elements arrived cold ie the fries but I can handle that, the service was unbelievable, we had a lovely gentleman serving us which was a pleasure but on the complete contrast there was a blonde female server who was beyond rude, huffing and puffing, barging past, snarky remarks, talking to people in the group like she had just scraped you off her shoe, it was truly the worst display of customer service I had ever seen, at one point we thought it was part of an act because it was Halloween till we realised it was her actual demeanour. I’ve no doubt we were a large party and it created work but we didn’t create any drama and if it were not for us the place would have been somewhat empty. I would never return here and it’s safe to say neither would the rest of the group

Always wanted to try them but didn't have the time to go to the restaurant before an event, so got a delivery from them instead. Best decision ever! Their BBQ ribs were smothered in a sweet sticky BBQ, their milkshake was heavenly, and even their slaw was great! Will be returning, hopefully to the restaurant this time (Station Road or the original one in the center of town).

Everything was excelent! The meat was great, the beer couldn't be better, the music was awesome and the service is absolutelly fantastic!

Have always shied away since it opened as it looks awful from the street but friends were arriving by train at the nearby rail station and wanted to visit it. Stepped in to deafening music beat - this morning my ears are still humming. Conversation almost impossible. Long plain table with backless bench was uncomfortable, menu had food stains on it and t- shirted staff looked tired and scruffy. Food is BBQ style stuff, plus nachos type stuff. Chicken wings were good and juicy but ribs covered in sticky goo and very little in the way of salad or veg, just coleslaw. Probably the most unhealthy meal I have endured in a long time. Could not wait to escape. Place was half empty on a Friday evening - this tells its own story. Would have given it one star except for the chicken wings.

On a really busy night, we had a terrific time thanks to Anya, Mario, and Lizzie who in spite of being rushed off their feet still served us with their usual enthusiasm and smiles. The food was, as always, excellent! Particularly the pulled beef bun. The perfect way to get over a trick start to the week.

Popped in for lunch and were tempted by the different range of barbecue, burgers and steaks available, amongst many other choices. Opted for the pork burger which was very tasty. Portions were large, also quite expensive. Main course and drink for 3 cost over £60. Service was excellent and setting was quite unique - very industrial based. May opt for deals if we ever return.

We are so lucky as a family to live the perfect distance between London and Cambridge, it allows us great food positioning. For my husbands birthday we decided to try the bbq place after stumbling upon it a few weeks prior. We booked for 4 people one of our party is a child aged 7 and another my dad aged 65 and who is disabled but still very much wants to be out and about with his family. It’s hard to find places which accommodate disabilities. We called the restaurant who accommodated us very well making sure we were not seated downstairs and that the table had space for my dad. They also advised us they had toilets on both floors. This is as hugely appreciated as dad can get anxiety when going somewhere new but all worries were taken away. My son LOVED the table service switch which is an amazingly idea because service was so fast and orderly. We had the works, dirty fries, brisket. A chocolate shake and obviously tried some beers. Food was honestly just amazing we all enjoyed it! Something for everyone. Presentation and portion size were spot on and we had a very enjoyable afternoon..... so much so we returned last night for a date night!! We have a new favourite!

The burger I had was average. The meat was a bit overcooked and quite salty. The restaurant is extremely noisy, so you can't hear anything. The staff was alright, should've been more attentive. Not sure, if I would come back.

We ended our day trip to Cambridge with a delicious meat platter called The Works. We initially wanted to go to SmokeWorks Free School Lane but the waiting list was too big. We ended up walking 20 min to the Station Road one but were not disappointed. Great industrial vibes, friendly staff, good music and incredible food. Mario was the perfect host to complement it all.

Without overexplaining things, we’re a group of 4 who decided to visit Cambridge on a one day visit. After only having an 11am brunch, you can imagine how hungry we were at around 7:30pm. All the staff we interacted with were more than helpful, and Mario was certainly both entertaining, as well as engaging. Their playlist creates a wonderful ambiance, in a blend with the decor. 80s to early 00s alternative went very well with the “The Works (for two)” platter which we tried (and it was delicious). Overall a very good experience, we’re certain to visit again next time we’re in Cambridge.

Food to rival even the best BBQ places in London but located in the beautiful Cambridge. All of the meats were perfectly cooked, with a great presentation and nicely done sides. The decor works really well with the restaurant’s industrial theme, complemented by the awesome playlist, which staff will happily change to accommodate families with children. Possibly the best thing about our evening was being served by Mario, who himself was a big fan of SmokeWorks before starting there. All in all it was perfect and if you’re after good food that’s plentiful, great beer, awesome atmosphere and amazing service you can’t go wrong with SmokeWorks. Can’t wait to visit Cambridge again!

Visited here with 3 others and was very excited to try! We walked in and was greeted by the staff and quickly shown to our table. Although we arrived in time for Happy Hour cocktails none of them was to our taste but the Strawberry Collins which when tried to order they had run out of strawberry purée so settled for something else instead. 3 of us had ribs and 1 had a burger. The ribs were ok, definitely could have had more taste, although the meat easily came off the bone it was dry in some places and really wasn’t bursting with flavour like ribs normally are. The burger was ok, under average and again didn’t have much flavour at all.
