First time ordering from here much enjoyed good value. Will be ordering again

well if I new when I ordered my order was going to be over two hours for my order to arrive I would not of ordered. I won't be ordering there again.

Very good food. There are more busy in some hours, then u need to wait bit longer but I think everyone understand it... They made fresh full meal faster than McDonald's do one burger..

Nan wasn’t right wasn’t meant to be 1 cheese and garlic nan and 1 garlic both was garlic and they both had about 4 puces of cheese on not the first time this has happened not happy

Ordered at 6pm estimated delivery 6:45pm - 7:05pm. Rang at 7:30pm to be told it will be with me in one minute. The tracker had updated to enjoy your food finally arrived at 7.55pm. Cant fault the food it was good but delivery time relly let this plac

Best Indian food in Liverpool! Not too expensive and very tasty, highly recommended

Starters were ok (onion bhaji and cauliflower pakora), but both curries were rubbish - vegetable balti just tasted of lemon (I know what a balti should taste like and this wasn’t it), and prawn korai was watery and tasted of nothing. Sadly wouldn’t recommend.

food was AMAZING and so well priced- rice two naans and two mains for 16.50. cannot beat it. the boy answering the phones n taking orders is a credit to the place he was running the joint!! will be my new go-to.

We've tried a few places locally after moving from another city (which had a lot of very good Indian / Bangladeshi places) and this has been the best by far. Really delicious, actually spicy food (we had chicken madras and saag paneer). Food was hot when I got it home, all packaged really well. Couldn't believe the price either. This will be our local now!

Well two hrs and still not arrived

Over an hour late. Sauces had spilt all over the food and upon calling up was greeted by dismissive staff who put the phone down.

The food from this place is great but sometimes the delivery time is awful, I can understand a long waist on a weekend but a Wednesday evening? Still waiting now an hour after the stated delivery time.

The food was delivered half an hour earlier than requested and unfortunately not everyone was at the delivery site because it was so early. Also, one of the meals was missing as we had been given 2 of the same dish instead of 1

whats disappointing is I never thought would need to make this review. Have ordered from this amazing venue for years. I appreciate its Saturday Night but their customer service was beyond bad. Just saying its Saturday for a delivery which took 2hrs 10 mins isn't ok. I know £50 for an order mighten seem alot but partner go to bed before for arrives isn't great, and getting your staff to hang up on me repeatedly when chasing the order, again not great. To compound issues 4 dishes spoiled. Bad

Awful experience… food was FREEZING after the 1.5 hour late delivery. Called restaurant asking whether everything was ok and he was so rude and laughed at me. Very upsetting

Waited 60 minutes longer than the original 75 minutes delivery time. Food was poor, garlic naan was cold garlic butter on the bread. Dry chicken. Sauces were not flavourful. Sauces which accompanied the popadoms were nice though. Would never go back

food took over an hour and a half to arrive since we ordered. I feel like a partial refund would suffice for my extreme anger, and hinger caused - my hungry flat mate took some anger out on the wall, which wasn't pleasant WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY FOR THAT TOO. Other than the complete disappointment with the silly amount of time, the food was nice, overall DISAPPOINTED.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Can’t fault any dish we have had ….but don’t order to be delivered. You will wait forever with excuses of broken cars and “10 more minutes”! We went to collect ours in the end (after reading the other reviews re delivery) so our food was lovely and hot, but a shame we had to do that.

decent food, quick and very tasty. Big fan of bloke who served us was cracking up jokes. Definitely recommend the fiery Bhuna and the king prawn masala. Big Up!

Food over half hour late and it’s stone cold

never received my meal. I phoned to try to resolve the issue and found the guy on the phone to be abrupt and refused to attempt to resolve the issue, he also refused to refund me. Shame as I have been a customer with smithdown for years never thought I'd ever be treated the way I was treated this day. Hopefully just eat can sort this out and issue me a refund. For an owner (he claimed) I found him to be very unprofessional and lacking in customer skills. Never ordering here again.

Food ordered at 1904, didn’t arrive until 2137. Called at 2030 to be told it’d be 20 minutes max

Apart from being an hour late the chicken madras was overcooked causing the meat to be a bit dry and there was very little filling in the keema nan. There is also a 40p bag charge even though no bag was supplied. This is the first time I have had cause to give anything but a positive review for the Smithdown Balti and I would certainly use them again in the future but I might try somebody else next time.

Naan bread covered in grease, curry was watery and tasted nothing like a dupiaza, chicken was disgusting, half the rice was cold, and the food wasn’t even ready for collection when I arrived despite me receiving a notification it was. Definitely avoid this place. Also had a dodgy looking office chair instead of proper seating.

Best takeaway in Liverpool. Friendly service, always made quickly and excellent quality every time. I’ve been coming to Smithdown Balti for ten years and I’ve NEVER had a bad curry 👌🏼

The food was cold and the chips and bread were rock hard very disappointing and was 2 hours late had to phone the restaurant 3 times to see where the food was paid £39.3 so food should be hot and on time .

Can't give a star for delivery time as I ordered my meal at 5.40pm should have been delivered by 7pm actually arrived at 8.10pm I ordered an extra curry sauce for the biryani but they sent an extra rice instead, then had to wait till 8.45pm for the sauce to arrive, I think 3 hrs wait for a meal is ridiculous, meal was quite tasty but won't be ordering from here again, I know it must have been busy on new years eve, but please don't take orders you can't fulfill, felt so sorry for the lady taking the complaints

First time using take away won't be using again I phoned told one minute it be there. 45 minutes still waiting as a diabetic I have to eat meals at set times can't comment on food still waiting

The food was delicious but, for the second time, one of my pickles was missing. Last time they forgot the lime pickle and this time it was the mango chutney. I gave them 5 stars last time because it was just an oversight but it’s happened again. Also, I ordered at six, they said it would arrive between 7.10 and 7.30 but it was 7.45 when it got here.

Looked like a busy night food was cold aswell.

Took over an hour to arrive, food stone cold, missing items - AWFUL. Rang the takeaway who told me they were too busy to bring the missed items and there was nothing they could do. NEVER AGAIN!

Food was late and then driver phoned to say he was outside so I stood outside but he had gone to the wrong address

AVOID! i’ve never seen such bad customer service in my life. the lies, rudeness and ignorance from a restaurant is a joke. over an hour late is unacceptable and the fact i called and the guy on the phone kept telling me “driver left” “driver near” for the past 5 times. i have been patient and then it turns out the delivery guy was at the wrong address and made me walk to find him. he kept saying he’s right when in fact he was wrong. thought the food would’ve been worth the wait at least but it was cold!!! will never order from here again and i recommend others not to especially if you are a woman because of how rude the men i’ve contacted from the restaurant have treated me and raising their voice at me for something that is not my fault. your restaurant your responsibility to deliver to the right address and at an acceptable time!! not even a single apology.

I treated myself to a meal for my birthday. It was delicious and there’s enough for another meal! They forgot my lime pickle but I’ll forgive them, given the quality and quantity of the food.

Late delivery. 90 minutes from ordering and still no food. Rang to ask for update and was told driver on way, been told that twice in 20 minutes. Poppadoms smashed to bits but otherwise food was okay.

Me and my family used to order from here all the time because the food is nice and its down the road, but now we will never order again. The last 4 orders have all been over 1hr late and when ive called the restaurant they sounded like we were forgotten about and they scrambled around. The most recent order was not only over 1 hr late but 1 of the curries was spilled in the bag. Honestly wont order again, I feel they got too comfortable with our custom and service went swiftly downhill because of it.

Food was very delicious. Although delivery was a bit late but it was definitely worth the wait. Each item was tasty. I will definitely order again from here.
