My second visit since I discovered this restaurant. Excellent once again.

Just been here after a while food is very authentic Indian style and the lamb chops was top notch. New management introduced new items and that gives wide range of lamb dishes and all this was very authentic. Will definitely visit soon. Best Indian food in city heart of glasgow.

Changed owners to green gates and has went downhill. Pakora was dry, chasni was more like sweet n sour compared to before. The South Indian garlic chilli chicken was more like spicy tomato chicken and the Naan was alright. Disappointing

Most dissapointed last night. I had booked a table for my anniversary and when we arrived it was shut due to refurbishment. They didn't even contact us to let us know. Was looking forward to it as well. Poor management and and customer service 😡

Delicious and traditional taste. I really enjoyed with my family. My kid also liked the food especially butter naan and chatani..

Best Indian food I’ve had. The service was so good too. I am vegan and they made sure everything was okay for me to eat 😊 would recommend and definitely eat there again and again and again!

First visit here today after googling somewhere near to later appointment. I’d travel 1,000 miles for coffee like this! It’s so rare to find exactly my taste and this was it. Had a brunch-type croissant with mozzarella and basil which was also excellent. Peaceful place with plenty of space between seats. I will definitely be back. Often!!

This is one of the best indian food I have ever had, and I have been to a lot of indian restaurants all over UK and Europe. Most of all, this is the first time I felt understood when I asked to make the dish a little bit hotter. My fellow traveller commented that this was as hot as he remembered it from India.

Booked in for lunch on Friday afternoon. Food was great. Service was friendly and attentive. This was my 2nd visit to glassy central…will certainly be back again. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

This is a cheery Italian-themed cafe that we visited three times during our stay in Glasgow. It is great place for breakfast - the toasties and excellent coffee are particularly recommended.

Amazing restaurant. 100% recommended. Very friendly and understanding staff. Food was bit sweet but they make adjustments for us. Overall I and my family loved it. 🫶🏻

I had a disappointing experience at Glassy Central. The food was overly sweet and tasted artificial, almost like it came straight from a packet. The ambiance was just as off-putting, with weird fake marble and tacky velvet everywhere. The overall vibe was uncomfortable, and the service was slow and incompetent.

In my experience one of the worst Indian places I’ve ever eaten at, no idea where the 4.7 rating is coming from. We were intrigued by the glowing reviews and decided to give it a try despite the odd, mismatched interior design and the fact that it’s located in a basement. As for the food, one of us ordered a standard meal that included a salad, which was quite ridiculous. The "salad" consisted of a few pieces of lettuce, some raw red onions, and a single slice of tomato - not even some dressing. The other person opted for the menu deal, but it really wasn’t worth it. The chicken tikka masala sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and didn't have any of the rich tomato flavor you’d expect. It tasted nothing like what we were hoping for. The dessert was also a joke: one sad scoop of cheap vanilla ice cream, without any sauce or whipped cream as shown in the pictures outside. The only good thing from all the food was the starter, the pakora was nice. Overall, a huge disappointment for us personally. We would never come back.

The food was very nice! Good price, and the quantity was just right.

Firstly, lack of ambiance. Too many different colours in restaurant,felt like eating in a night club. Chili chicken was good and plus halumi pakora was good too. I felt staff was not very knowledgeable. My partner felt being judged as she asked to make food mild. Few SOP training will help.

If you like mirrored walls, slightly too low pink velvet seats, and being underground whilst being served by staff who seem to hate their job then this is the place for you. Bonus there is a tv on every wall. Food has too much sugar and colouring

Really nice meal. The 3-course meal (pakora, main course, rice or naan or garlic naan, a little bowl of vanilla ice cream) at £13.95 is a good deal, though mains selection is limited compared to the entire menu. Quick, friendly service but a few language barrier hiccups.

What a gem!! The food was amazing. So tasty and best I've ever had. Home made sauces were to die for. Really good value for money too. If you are ever in Glasgow you really have to eat here.

Slow service at breakfast and all we ordered was eggs and crossaint Eggs were inedible like small little pebbles. Beyond me how this place can get 4.5 in tripadvisor

Excellent Indian food. The rice portion was small but the naan and dishes were tasty and good portions!

Went today for lunch a little disappointing got popadoms no onion spices asked for sauce for my ice cream never got any so all in all a little disappointing but hay ho give it an other try and see what transpires.

We were looking for a restaurant for a late dinner (around 21h30). Although most restaurants were already closing at this time, Glassy central warmly welcomed us. We were with 3 persons and on advise of the waiter we took the glassy gill and one curry to share. The food did not disappoint and was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!

I visited 2 times in the restaurant during my Scotland trip. I totally found Indian base taste, nice service , cooperative staff, and familiar atmosphere. I would like to recommend this place want to taste Indian food.

Everything was great down to the last detail!

So glad i stumbled across this place on my way to Kings Theatre, everything about it is perfect!! The place itself, the decor, the music, the friendly staff, the already chilled tapwater in the fridge, the reasonable prices and the food. I had a vegy focaccia and soup, its quite possibly the best mushroom soup i have ever had in my life! If i'd had more time i would definitely have stayed for coffee and cake too....next time I'm in Glasgow, I'll be back.

We were looking for a restaurant close to Kings theatre so we checked the reviews of those nearby... and Glassy rated highly so thought we would give it a go' and we werent disappointed ... the food was lovely' the staff were great' as was the surroundings. .. we will definitely go back

visited here today with friend luch was beautiful had veg pakora lamb boona with nan extra garlic chips & ice cream friend had veg pakora chicken boona with rice & ice cream 1 fresh orange n lomonade & 1 can irn bru all came to only £25 odd & every mouthful was delicious meat very tender if youve not been id advise you get along & try its a wee hidden gem xx

1st time in the restraunt and it was a very enjoyable experience . The food was so tasty and for lunch the portions were perfect lovely decor throughout and very pleasant staff can’t wait to go back 10/10

I had a great time at Glassy Central. In comfortable surroundings. The food was very tasty, asalways, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And it's reasonably priced.

Food was amazing. My south infian garlic chilli and the wife's chkn chasni both superb. Very reasonable priced. Cannot fault service or staff at all. We will be back. Very quiet that's why theb3 stars. But lovely inside.

Lovely local cafe with authentic Italian food and drinks. Had the most delicious bacon roll in the lightest, most flavoursome roll which was obviously freshly baked. Croissant equally delicious and coffee of exceptional quality. Service was efficient and friendly and was a highlight of our visit!

Went in for lunch with my daughter , had never been there nor had she . What a pleasant surprise first class Indian food at very modest prices . I can’t wait to get back .

The decor is a little confused, but does nothing to detract from the excellent food. The menu is a little different, and my tandoori king prawns were absolutely superb. My eating companion we t gor the tandoori lamb chops which were not only plentiful but also e collect. I could write volumes explaining the differences between this and other similar venues, but just go and try it for yourself. You won't regret it.

Stumbled on to this place . Wished we would have seen it sooner. Our meals were beautiful, Staff couldn't do enough for you, nothing was a bother. Prices were brilliant for lunch menu, great size potions of food served .Will definitely be back soon.

Would have been nice to know before getting there it isn't accessible access, I get old buildings can't be retrofitted economically but a wee note on the website to say access via steep stairs. Food was nice enough but quite light portions.

Glassy Central is a fantastic find! The food is exceptional, prepared with fresh ingredients and served beautifully. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The ambience is cozy yet modern. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

We saw reviews about this place and with the incredible prices we just had to dine in. We went downstairs into the resteraunt and it had a lovely atmosphere and decor was really vibrant. We went for the executive lunch at 8.95 and we asked for something that wasn't lamb saag with a little bit of chilli. They were happy to make it for us which was just out of this world the best lamb saag we have ever had! Very flavoursome and lamb just melted in your mouth we got charged 1.00 extra for the lamb but we expected to be charged due to curry not being in menu but we didnt which was excellent. The haggis pakora to start with was lovely and I would deffo recommend coming here I will 100000% be back.

Found this cosy and small cafe by chance while wandering during my first month in Glasgow. Can't say anything about pizzas or cakes, but I've been served a superb latte.

First time in this restaurant after we had had a dispute with another Indian restaurant nearby about their pricing online v price on menu in restaurant. We had no booking at Central Glassy but got a table for pre theatre dinner. Food, service and staff were amazing and price was £13.95 for three courses. What a find this was. We will return and highly recommend this to our friends.

Was very very disappointed in this place, party of 4, ordered pompadoms with mixed dips, these turned out to be the best bit of the meal, ! ..also ordered vegetable pakora and samosa, these were so small that we couldn't actually have a portion each, we ordered 4 curries from the vegan/ vegetarian list, mixed vegetables...this curry didn't have a single vegetable in it, not one! When I pointed this out I was told they are "Blended" into the sauce..Aye OK.. it was clearly defrosted as it was nothing more than a spicy Mush..also the Bombay potatoes that was also obviously defrosted, there was no way this was fresh at all as with the mixed vegetable curry with No vegetables at all, also ordered Chana Masala, that had a store bought sauce taste to ot this was also the same with the Dhall Makinie the same tasting sauce, had to ask several times if the Nann bread was milk free in which he didn't know and then stated it was.! ? way over priced for a very very very poor meal definitely won't be back...

One of the worst restaurant in glasgow we ordered some paneer and mix veg curry as a indian style but they make with some colour red chilli powder and cheese and chilli Naan with some powder chilli .

Booked table for 7.30 got there lovely welcome. Got served with waiter who was pleasant, he got us our drinks and we ordered our meal. Starter arrived quick and was taken away even quicker while I was still eatting from a waitress who didn't look like she was wanting to be there. Within a few minutes our mains arrived , which was average. I would say I have had better but iv had worse aswell. Again this waitress arrived as we just put our forks on plates and took them away again very quick. She brought over dessert menus which we were not interested in getting after the way the service was from this waitress. She took the menus away and brought our bill straight over. We did not ask for the bill as we still had drinks. But that was more than enough so we paid and left. We were in and out within half an hour ! We both felt everything was very rushed and service was shocking . When you go out for a meal you want to sit and relax not in and out within 30 minutes. If I wanted fast food I would of went to mcdonalds. There is nothing more off putting than going to a restaurant and being rushed back out and taking plates away while your still eatting or just finished. She was obviously watching us to arrive as quick to swiftly take the plates away. Certainly won't be back and wouldn't be telling people to go there for a relaxing meal . Customer service skills are required for this waitress as she has none.

The food was terrible, very sweet taste, we had ordered spicy lamb had to return it back twice. The place say Punjabi taste but it nothing like that the food is all sweet to taste. Will not be visiting here again. Staff overall were polite

No wonder why this place has so high rate. Food is 10/10. Highly recommend both tandoori as well as curries. Chapeaux bas for the chef and the rest of lovely staff!

My first visit and went there as it was mentioned in a book about Desi pubs I was reading. Warm welcome and good conversation from our host. Food was beautiful and washed down with an Irn Bru it made for a lovely inexpensive lunch.

Definitely worth a visit. Delicious food and fantastic service. The butter chicken and curry korma are masterpieces.

Tried this restaurant out for the first time last night,can't wait to go back,it was delish,went for the pre theatre menu,3 courses for £13.95,what a bargain?and everything was cooked to perfection,even bought a voucher for my son to try,got to be the best Indian I've had,by a country mile,and the service was first class too👌

Tandoori wings and chilli chicken are the best in starters. Achaari chicken and chicken biryani are the best in mains. Great staff. Loved every bit about it.

have to say we weren't that impressed by the food we had bacon sarnies came with the raw fat on that we had to pull off & discard, would have been nice to see this crisped up and put on the sarnie. sausage sarnie was nice enough, but was just a solitary sausage on a bap, charge me an extra pound and stick me another sausage on there. scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. the sandwiches we also had were not rated much either.

Meal was delicious and staff couldn't have been any better, will definitely go back :-)

Beware! We chose this restaurant because of its apparently "excellent" reviews on here and on TripAdvisor. We should have known when we walked in that we had been duped. It was dead empty, yet it's mothers day. Most good restaurants are very busy on mothers day so this wasn't a good sign. The decor is awful. Bad paintwork, shawdy woodwork, wallpaper on the ceiling with leaflets stuck on certain parts with black tape as if to cover something. The food was not good at all. I've been eating indian food since before I could talk and I'm 40 years old. I know good indian food. This food was just about edible. We were starving as we had been in a spa all afternoon around the corner at the Blythswood Square Hotel. I was treating my mother to a mothers day spa stay. Her favourite food is indian and we had high hopes for this restaurant but these were soon dashed when the starters arrived. Stodgy, plain, lifeless food. Our curries were all thick sauce and barely any meat. Resembled thick soup. Do not eat here. There are brilliant indian restaurants in this city and this isn't one of them. Upon closer inspection of the excellent reviews; I could see that most of them came from people who had only ever written 1 review. Alarm bells! I believe most of these reviews to be fake as no one in their right mind could rave about this place unless it's to rave about how bad it is! I am currently sitting on the toilet with stomach cramps. Got a feeling. I'll be on here for the night!

Had the little function room at the side for the six nations. Food and service was excellent. Other parts seemed cosy enough for a lovely Indian restaurant experience.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My children loved their food and the waiter brought them desserts which went down a treat. Even the owner came and spoke to us and made us feel so welcome. We will be back!!

First time here&thought I would try the lunch menu which was great value, absolutely fantastic food, the lamb karahi was amazing and the garlic nan was so fresh and tasty, service was brillant also, after trying several curry houses this is definitely the best indian food I have had in glasgow, i will definitely be back to try other dishes, also it is great that it opens at 12pm.

Have visited a couple of times now for a girlie lunch and staff are so accommodating. Great service, amazing food and even better prices! Would highly recommend!!

We went out on Saturday 3rd February. A group celebrating an annual night out. The food was delicious and very fresh. The service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

What an absolute hidden gem in Glasgow. Located underground. I was eating alone late evening in the week and it was very quiet. All the staff really looked after me very well and the food was absolutely superb. Pictured below is the mixed grill with Karachi sauce (requested very spicy) along with rice and peshwari naan. Really great look forward to coming back.

Brilliant find! 1st time coming here and we will definitely be back. Couldn't fault a thing. Food was brilliant, tasty and hot. Starters amazing and highly recommend the meat samosa. I had chicken dhansak and again it was lovely. Service was brilliant also and prices very reasonable. Only slight negative was the cold if someone left the upstairs door open.

Went here on the recommendation by my cousin. Will say pleasantly surprised. You need to walk down stairs to get to the restaurant once you enter you are met with pops of Bright colour and Neon Lights. It actually works. The owner greeted us right away and took us to our table. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait too long in-between courses. Drinks were also brought fast. Definitely will return
