have to say we weren't that impressed by the food we had bacon sarnies came with the raw fat on that we had to pull off & discard, would have been nice to see this crisped up and put on the sarnie. sausage sarnie was nice enough, but was just a solitary sausage on a bap, charge me an extra pound and stick me another sausage on there. scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. the sandwiches we also had were not rated much either.

Fantastic food great service definitely worth a visit,first time here will definitely return.

First time here&thought I would try the lunch menu which was great value, absolutely fantastic food, the lamb karahi was amazing and the garlic nan was so fresh and tasty, service was brillant also, after trying several curry houses this is definitely the best indian food I have had in glasgow, i will definitely be back to try other dishes, also it is great that it opens at 12pm.

Have visited a couple of times now for a girlie lunch and staff are so accommodating. Great service, amazing food and even better prices! Would highly recommend!!

We went out on Saturday 3rd February. A group celebrating an annual night out. The food was delicious and very fresh. The service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

What an absolute hidden gem in Glasgow. Located underground. I was eating alone late evening in the week and it was very quiet. All the staff really looked after me very well and the food was absolutely superb. Pictured below is the mixed grill with Karachi sauce (requested very spicy) along with rice and peshwari naan. Really great look forward to coming back.

Brilliant find! 1st time coming here and we will definitely be back. Couldn't fault a thing. Food was brilliant, tasty and hot. Starters amazing and highly recommend the meat samosa. I had chicken dhansak and again it was lovely. Service was brilliant also and prices very reasonable. Only slight negative was the cold if someone left the upstairs door open.

Went here on the recommendation by my cousin. Will say pleasantly surprised. You need to walk down stairs to get to the restaurant once you enter you are met with pops of Bright colour and Neon Lights. It actually works. The owner greeted us right away and took us to our table. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait too long in-between courses. Drinks were also brought fast. Definitely will return

Lovely restaurant it was quite quiet as it was 5pm but we got a really nice welcome and the food was terrific. Up until 7pm there is a 3 course menu available for under £12 and there was a surprisingly wide choice. Will definitely be back.

Went in for the pre theatre. 3 courses for £11.95. Best value curry I've had in years. The selection was really good. 4 different starters and 3 different mains accompanied by rice and nan. All the dishes were really good. The restaurant itself was different to an normal Indian, in a good way! The staff were really attentive and helpful. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed

My boyfriend and I went there to have dinner. As we entered the place, we were really surprised by the cosy atmosphere. Every meal is available with mixed veggies for vegetarians and vegans. We had delicious vegetables pakoras as a starter. Then we had a chicken tikka masala and a mixed veggies garam masala with cheese naans and rice. I ordered extra coriander. Everything was delicious. It was so tasty that we did not even think about taking pictures of our meals. Everyone was really kind to us. Do not hesitate to ask the staff for any advice. We totally recommend this place!

Lovely wee restaurant, we had £5.95 lunch menu , served 12pm -3pm , poppadoms & spiced onions and veg pakora to start for mains , chicken bhuna & chicken dansak 1rice, 1 nan followed by 1 ice cream and a coffee. Food was delicious, smaller portions but enough for a lunch , waiter was extremely welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Will go back and try Al a cart menu.

A relatively new venue in Sauchiehall St.Entry is from a single door at street level to the basement restaurant. Decor is retro, very colourful and most important of all, seating is very comfortable with all chairs having a soft velvet type covering.I found out about Glassy Central from an advert on my messenger page.The ad boasted a 3 course lunch for £5.95 and it is indeed good value with a good choice of starters, mains and accompaniments.We enjoyed Chicken Korma, with fried rice, Lamb Patia(Lamb £1 extra cost) with excellent Nan bread. As an extra side we ordered Aloo Tikka( potato cake dish) which was very tasty.Food quality throughout was very good. Staff were fantastic,so friendly and helpful and owner asked us at our table if we had enjoyed the experience.A La Carte menu looks excellent ,so worth an evening visit. Only disappointment was dessert . I am not a big fan of bought in items. I find them bland and tastless.They are not cheap some costing almost as much as the 3 course lunch, so should be better.This aside i would recommend Glassy Central. It certainly has a few welcome touches, like Gold Colour Cutlery,making it different to other indian restaurants. 🤗

Lovely wee cafe with great choice for breakfast rolls and croissants. Would definitely return for a lunch as the pizzas and bakery goods looked really delicious. Staff were friendly and chatty. Highly recommended.

We had dinner here tonight and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We had Chicken Tikka Garam Masala and Chicken Tikka Chasni, rice, which was beautiful, and garlic Naan along with a beer and a glass of wine. Our bill was just over £40. We highly recommend Glassy Central for excellent Indian food. It is located on Sauchiehall Street with a brightly lit front. To get to the dining room, which is nicely appointed, you go down some steps inside the front door to the lower level. You definitely won't regret it.

My two friends and I had a great lunch today 😋 Everything was first class - food, service and surroundings! One friend in particular who normally doesn't go for Indian food says she would definitely go back! A big thumbs-up from all 3 of us - thank you 😀

Malgré le restaurant en sous sol et l’endroit peu accueillant (8 télévisions allumées dans toutes les directions, avec 8 chaînes différentes…) les plats étaient très bons, probablement le meilleur restaurant indien où nous sommes allés en Écosse. Le service est très inégal - maladroit, parfois brutal. Une des filles , celle qui a pris notre commande, était particulièrement gentille. En conclusion: ne vous laissez pas désarçonner par la vitrine de ce restaurant - peu attrayante, car vous y mangerez au final très bien, même si l’ambiance n’est pas la plus agréable.

Had a great night here with my husband the food was fresh and flavoursome. It was that good we went back last week with our family to share our experience. We highly recommend Glassy Central, the staff are amazing very attentive the owner will have a gab and laugh with you which was right up our street. If you havent been definitely visit asap so reasonably priced too.

Close to Kings Theatre so before out show we decided to give this place a try and so very glad that we did. The food was absolutely beautiful, a great menu with many new delights.Everything was perfect with just the right amount of spice used. The interior is stunning and the little private booths were pure luxury . The service was second to none..Staff all happy,attentive and polite. The owner took time to talk to each table and gave us each a complementary shot after our meal. A absolutely beautiful classy Indian restaurant and I would honestly say probably the best in Glasgow right now.Not to be missed!

So good wee got a voucher off Wowcher for a 3 courses meal for £20 for 2 people all wee had to pay after voucher was £8 really recommend people try it

The food is incredible, and the cocktails were delicious. My only complaint would be the portions were a little small, but for 3 courses at such a great price you couldn't really be uspet. It is by far some of the best Indian I've had in years!

Visited here while back home and had a great time. The service was exceptional, warm and friendly. The curries were flavourful and aromatic without being overbearing on the spice. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us for a bit. Really reasonably priced as well. Hoping this place gets more business as it seems to be missed by a lot of the foot traffic on sauchiehall street. One of the best curries I've had in Glasgow.

As a Brit living in the US I miss a good curry so was delighted to find this place. Kinda, the owner, was amazing and gave us the history of the place and its authenticity as a true British Indian….we weren’t disappointed. Awesome food, perfectly spiced and served as it should be, having cider on tap was icing on the cake. This is a must visit curry house.

I went for breakfast and was surprised by how many sandwiches there were available. There's something for everyone with so many options and the cafe has a nice relaxed environment. Nice to go as a group or on your own.

Couldn’t recommend this place more food is amazing price is even more amazing. I found it on a Wowcher deal and have returned several time since as they do there own deals for lunch and pre theatre.

Genuine Review from my perspective I have divided my review in multiple parts: 1. Taste: 0.5/2 (Paneer Tikka gravy was sweet, Paneer was hard + chewy, and Chana Masala was too salty. Tandoor Roti was great and Chilli Cheese Nan was painted with too much Chilli. Forgettable experience) 2. Ambience: 0.8/1 (The place is really well decorated and checked all boxes to resemble fine dining but some might find it glittery) 3. Service: 0.2/1 (The food arrived very late and she served Chikken Masala rather than Chana Masala. This can certainly be improved) 4. Value for Money: 0.5/1 (It was well priced, so no complaints there. May be even if the price is notched up a little with better taste, I would love to visit again) Overall, I would skip if other alternatives are available but certainly not too bad to strike off the list completely.

We simply love Indian food! We've travelled all over the UK experiencing the good and the bad. Glassy Central is simply the best we've experienced. My fiancee and I found it by chance and we're so glad we didn't walk past. The entrance was uninspiring and the steps down to the basement had me asking if we were doing the right thing. Once downstairs the sight of almost every table taken on a Thursday evening at 7pm filled me with confidence. This place was popular... The 3 course evening meal had a good selection of what I call the basics with 3 starters and about 8 main courses and Ice-cream to finish. We shared the vegetable and chicken pakora between us. The batter was light and crispy, both were very tasty and not over cooked like the norm in some places. The salad was also very fresh. The chicken tikka masala and special Achari curry were both superb. We also shared them. With most Indian restaurants the dishes all taste so similar because they simply have the same base and then just add extra ingredients. Both dishes were clearly prepared separately. The variety and depth of flavours were incredible. I didn't want to swallow! Pillau rice was also perfect and the nan bread was light and tasty. We finished off with their only choice for dessert ice-cream. For £11.95 it's really hard to see how they can make a profit! The owner even came across to ask if we were happy with our meal. We both thought this was a nice touch. I told him it was the best curry we had ever tasted. So he explained his background in the industry working up from dish washer, through the cook/chef levels to eventual owner. His experience in the trade shows through the service in his restaurant. He kindly explained why the food tasted so good and the effort made preparing the various dishes and why they've moved away from the buffet style. He even took the time to explain why there was additional design work on their side seats for two where we sat, which was an interesting story. It's clear the owner and the staff have worked hard and they take a pride in the restaurant and it runs through everything i that they do. The staff were extremely attentative and polite. We purchased a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc wine which was also very good. All in our bill came to £43.90, the £5 tip was easy to hand over. Whilst we live in Fife, Glassy Central exceeded our expectations and we will make the restaurant a regular trip through for us. Congratulations to all the staff at Glassy Central and we would like to wish them continued success. John and Louise

Found this place through wowcher as we were in Glasgow for the BMX world champs and I have to say it is one of the nicest Indian meals I have had for a long time, if you come here you will not be disappointed, great food at a really good price. We will be back on Monday.
