Highly recommend this beautiful Italian restaurant. We ordered takeaway last night as we noticed they do gluten free Lasagne (extremely hard to find in Glasgow). The food was so fresh and the gf Lasagne was absolutely incredible. I have coeliac disease and the food was prepared safely, came with gf stickers on the packaging and no ill effects. 10/10, thanks for making 1 coeliac extremely happy.

Bruschetta Classica, Minestrone, Chicken Risotto, Lobster Ravioli, Lasagna, Pienne Pieno, Carmel Apple Pie, and Sticky Toffee Pudding! Delicious! It's a quick walk from Double Tree hotel.

Really nice startes, not bad pizzas (but anyway they are not too Italian!), good penne amatriciana, but spaghetti carbonara this is a huge mistake! Dry, without guanciale, pecorino Romano and typical eggs sauce, but with a cream. Sorry, it was inedible! Service was absolutely great, a waitress was nice and very helpful

Pre theatre meal, arrived early no problem at all. Greeted by the manager on way in staff wonderful and attentive when needed. The food and service was first class . Starter and main course under £20, could then treat ourselves to a nice Gavi . Very good first visit will certainly come again.

Been here for dinner many times and it’s always been amazing , lovely food and service

Had day out for my friends birthday but I would not recommend. I had the beef stew and it was the worse beef I've ever tasted. It was served with salad and rice so all I could eat was the rice. The meat was of a very cheap cut and unchewable. The dessert was the same, cheap cheese cake. Glass of Merlot was £17. Will not be back here again.

Fuimos a un almuerzo pre teatro, 2 adultos y 2 Niños. El personal era amable y atento, la comida era fabulosa y fresca! Gran servicio, entorno cómodo, muy limpio. ¡Volveremos!

A little gem of a place. I will definitely be going back. We were a large party but everyone was served at the same time. I was lucky enough to enjoy gluten free lasagne and gluten free apple pie. I was delighted, the food was delicious and with no ill effects. The staff were also lovely too.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, lovely decor with wonderful Christmas decorations. Also very attentive waiters and waitresses. Could not fault it. Highly recommended!

Don't get the Christmas dinner you'll be starving after you eat it one slice of turkey one roast potato cut into 3 pieces more gravy than anything I kept my myself hungry for this wee treat I had to go to the markets to eat something else so disappointed especially for the price the sweet was nice though

Ate here tonight before going to the theatre. Staff were efficient, service was good and the atmosphere was ok. Unfortunately the food was not good. My husband had lasagne. It was a small portion, bland and at £17.95, overpriced. That did not include a side such as a slice of garlic bread or veg. My friend had a vegetarian pizza which had little in the way of veg on the topping and again, was bland and oily. Really disappointed with the food and portion sizes.

Very good food! We had calzone, lasagna and pasta as well as tiramisu. Everything tasted lovely. The red wine was the topping on the wreath cake. The restaurant was filled with Italian opera and other traditional songs. The waiters were very charming and pleasant. This was a very good experience that is highly recommended!

I can't say enough good things about this place. It was one of my favorite restaurants we visited in Scotland. Yes, it was Italian, not Scottish, but it was authentic and delicious tortellini and gelato. The place was packed when we arrive (reservations suggested) and it was a hard to hear even the waiter at our table but after the crowd thinned out later, we enjoyed the atmosphere even more. Highly recommended!

Booked the Pieno restaurant after a visit to the theatre. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from an exceptionally well mannered chap, who showed us to our table. The staff at this establishment went above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a flawless dining experience and the food presented to us, was some of the freshest tastiest food we have tasted in a long time. It’s so refreshing to find a restaurant where the staff actually appear genuinely happy within their workplace and they’re a credit to the restaurant owner ! WELL DONE to one and all and a BIG THANK YOU for all you hard work ! Looking forward to a return visit …..!

Absolute first class service and food. The meal was well staged and nothing was brought out until the previous course was finished. The food itself was marvellous. From the Arancini Formaggi to our Pizza Margherita it was all fantastic. Don't miss this restaurant when in Glasgow.

From the first time I have loved this place and its dishes. It has very tasty plates, big portions, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Whenever I'm in Glasgow this restaurant is definitely my "go to place" P.S. (Send thank you very much for your kindness and kindness, whenever I come to Glasgow again I will definitely visit you!!)

The staff were very kind and welcoming. Also, the service and food were good. The only problem was finding a car park.

I have had pleasure of eating here on a few occasions now and it has consistently been fantastic every time. I recently booked for 16 people for husbands 40th birthday lunch, where we were treated like family, with a warm, kind welcome. The food was outstanding as always, not one person had anything to complain about but instead they were raving about how good it was. The service was fantastic, friendly and efficient without being overbearing. I love that this is a family run restaurant, you can feel that all the staff and owners really care and are passionate about what they do. Thanks again for such a lovely day.

I always stop by when I am in the area, even if it is only for a coffee. Best place to have your pre-theatre meal before enjoying a show at the Theatre Royal. Family ran italian restaurant with delicious authentic food! The staff welcomed us at the door and they all were very friendly. Portions are big, but try to leave space for their delicious desserts!

Calm relaxing atmosphere with delicious food.

Family run Italian restaurant with clean modern decor, great hospitality and most importantly delicious food! The lobster ravioli is a must try - best ravioli I have ever had! Even the kid’s chicken nugget is delicious. The tiramisu and affogato are the other highlights.

Dietry requirements not met. Leave a note for restaurant is useless! I have left a note with bold capital letters and it was printed on my receipt. Meal was wasted i wont be using just eat again to order.

A lovely family owned business which is really worth walking to for a few minutes away from Glasgow town. They have a pre-theater deal, however I decided for their Lobster Ravioli and the sauce was one of the best I've had in a long long time. I finished my meal with an Affogato (almond liquor instead of espresso) and it was really good. Highly recommend!!

We were passing through Glasgow and discovered this address by chance. Great experience, we chose the pasta, a real treat. An address to recommend. Don't go your way and push the door. ENJOY

Great quality food at a fair price. I had the superb homemade pate and a scrumptious mixed meat pizza, both excellent. Also, very good gluten-free menu choices for my wife, her risotto was great. Staff were also very friendly and super efficient. Would highly recommend Pieno.

The food came very quickly and was very, very tasty. The waiter always checked on us. We felt very comfortable. A real insider tip for Glasgow, it's a bit out of the way, but you definitely have to go here if you're looking for a very good, original Italian restaurant!

The gluten free pasta was great, however I would advise against the gluten free garlic bread, almost £7 for some dry and soggy bread with cheese on!

Absolutely lovely spot for Italian! The calamari was perfectly breaded and seasoned, although I think the portion could be larger… pizzas were probably one of the best I’ve ever had and we are pizza connoisseurs! Service was great and tiramisu was delicious.

Mrs and I had a meal before going to the Pavilion Theatre. The food was delicious; hot and good portions. Starters: Bruschetta Classica and Chilli Gamberetti Mains: Lasagne and Spaghetti Polpette Desert: Gelato Amerena Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and we'll go again.

I was planning to go somewhere else, but there were free seats here on Friday evening. So we went in. The waiter was polite, the dish was served in 20 minutes. The portion was small and not tasty. An acquaintance ordered ice cream. She didn't like it either. Certainly not a matter of taste.

Had a lovely lunch with my husband .. we enjoyed all kinds of the served food mostly Pasta.. the service very good and fast together with a nice smile .. i recommend it to any one want to taste the Italian cuisine

Two couples and.all.of us delighted with our food. Garlic mushrooms, creamy mushrooms, garlic prawns as starters, sea bass, meatball pasta, slow cooked beef and pizza, all delicious. Staff friendly, service quick, atmosphere great.

I wasn't sure where I would have my pre theatre lunch but, I was very pleased to find Restaurante Pieno! Ideal location for the Theatre Royal! Solo dining can be daunting but, I received a warm welcome, was seated thoughtfully and I felt very comfortable. I chose from the lunch menu which offered good value. Service was friendly, speedy and efficient. The Biscoff Cheesecake deserves a special mention! A treat! Happy to recommend and I know exactly where I will be eating on my next visit to Glasgow!

Had thee best meal ever here on Sunday at 3pm with my Mum for a belated Mother’s Day out. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you and my god the food was unreal. Found my Glasgow Italian restaurant could not fault it 10/10.

Had my birthday lunch with the family (17 of us). Grandkids from 9 years old, adults and oldies. Great menu to cater for all tastes. Food delicious and service with style and a smile. Despite my booking stating that I had my table until 7:30pm, I was asked at 6:45pm, immediately after I had finished my main course, if I could vacate the table as other diners had arrived early. The owner offered to put me in the waiting area. I wasn't even asked if I wanted coffee or dessert. I was so taken aback, I told him I would leave and to bring the bill. I appreciate a person dining alone eats into profits but then don't take the booking in the first place. The food was good, the waitress was friendly, but I will not be back. <b>Feedback to your response</b>: Please don't patronise me. It wasn't a feckless employee who did this, it was you, the owner. You knew exactly what you were doing. I also didn't FEEL rushed to leave, I WAS rushed to leave. Big difference.

Visited this restaurant on a Tuesday before a show at the theatre across the road. My family of 4 all ate from the pre-theatre menu. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, the staff were attentive and friendly and the service was very good, which is so refreshing these days. The food was excellent. I personally had the arancini and the beef stew and both were delicious. The arancini was beautifully crispy on the outside and the risotto inside was really tasty. The side salad was fresh and crisp and the tomato dip that came with it was also very nice. The beef was lovely and tender and honestly this dish is one not to miss! My whole family really enjoyed everything they had and we will definitely be back, hopefully soon!

We ate off the pre-theatre menu. Three of our starters where quite nice but my Arancini was a bit too wet inside and was served with a lack lustre tomato dipping sauce. The two pasta dishes were really nice however the two Italian stews were not that great. The portions were tiny with hardly any meat. How on earth they can justify a £4 supplement I have no idea - for what we had it should have been a £4 discount. The place is nice and the staff are friendly but I wouldn't recommend. Doubt very much if I would go back.

Thought I'd get an escalope as opposed to goujons - goujons were pretty dry inside. Peppercorn sauce was pretty salty for my liking. Vegetables were decent; not my preference of veg but they were pretty good for what it was. Still left feeling like the meal was lacking though unfortunately

A lucky find. We didn’t have a reservation on a Saturday evening but the staff willingly moved tables and chairs to access us. The food was really excellent as was the service but the absolute best bit was the ambiance ( or vibe as the youngsters say). It was busy with all ages, genders etc. it wasn’t noisy or cramped and the atmosphere was friendly and upbeat.

Had a meal here tonight with my partner and his family. Couldn't fault this place. The food was absolutely outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic restaurant one of the best Italian restaurants in Glasgow Staff and food are first class We have been a few times and standards are still so high I tried pizza Marinara for the first time and what an amazing masterpiece it not only looks like a work of art it tasted amazing - best I have tasted and I have tasted many in different parts of the world

As usual food was great. Delivery was waiting for driver I understand. Pizza was great but a couple more pieces of pepperoni would’ve been nice. Cheese cakes were both tasty but too small for the cost. Still all in all one of the best Italian restaurant out there. Full marks for staff allowing us to change cakes over the phone. Great food and great service.

In Glasgow for work, I wanted to find a place to dine where I wouldn't feel too out-of-place at a table for one! I added a note to that effect to my booking and I was made to feel very welcome. I ordered the seafood risotto with a large glass of Pinot Grigio, then an Italian coffee. Service was friendly and attentive but relaxed - just what I needed after a 3 hour drive to get there. My risotto was plentiful and delicious and I savoured every mouthful, finishing off my meal nicely with an alcohol-infused coffee. Very happy with my first experience of evening dining on my own!

Oggi sono stato in questo ristorante, e devo dire di aver fatto un ottima scelta. Tutto quello che ho mangiato era perfetto. La pasta era al dente come piace a me. I crostini si scioglievano in bocca. La birra era proprio buona ed infine il caffè era davvero espresso. Le attenzioni ricevute dalla cameriera che mi ha servito sono state incredibili. Lo consiglio vivamente. Grazie di tutto.
