Slug & Lettuce in Wolverhampton

We had an amazing time at Slug and Lettuce. We tried all of the premium cocktails, and it was safe to say we got a little merry. The drinks were fantastic—really well-made and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the food was just as great, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a brilliant night out, and we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food, great cocktails, and a fun time.

came in for a couple pints as you do , staff wete incredible, andrea was honestly the best bartender i’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing , lovley attentive and respectful, jess who i think is someone high up also served me , overall a proper experience would recommend to anyone looking for a good time and amazing stafff

Abba themed bottomless brunch. I mean, I expected people singing, it was just abba music which is fine and I preferred this, themed may be pushing it. Great brunch. Never without a drink, the staff work really hard and are super friendly. We opted for the standard brunch and there are plenty of tasty cocktails to choose from. My only gripe is that they (most places) think everyone loves Prosecco which is what they put on the table to start. I actually don’t and asked if I could have a different drink which they refused. But, cocktails came shortly after so no real hardship. The food was really nice, the fajita pasta was just delicious. Overall a really good value for money night out.

The staff here are so attentive! Pete and Jess looked after us and not only did they provide incredible service, but they also ensured that us, as two young girls, were completely safe the entire time and you could see they genuinely cared!

Went for a bottomless brunch midweek. We had our own partly enclosed erea that looked like a bird cage. Interior is nice. Food itself was decent we had a chicken burger with fries which was ok. Unlimited cocktails brought to your table and our waiter was a nice enough guy. Cocktails were nice we definitely got more than our money's worth. Definitely cheaper having a brunch than buying them separately.

Totally disapointing no atmosphere whatsoever. Because we paid 20 mins early we were told no more drinks aloud because we have paid. Surely you should be told before paying that that was the case. Disgusting.

Probably the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I had chicken bao buns. Usually light and fluffy but these were deep fried and sodden in oil. Chose carefully.

We've visited previously for drinks but decided to get something to eat this afternoon, I opted for the loaded crispy chicken my wife chose the Malaysian katsu, no Katsu available so she went for scampi. My meal was nice but for the price I'd have thought two pieces of chicken would be the norm, My wife really enjoyed her scampi it was a good sized portion. Desert my wife chose the churros and I the cheesecake bites, no cheesecake bites available so opted for the salted caramel brownie bites. Another good portion for my wife, I literally heard the crunch as she bit into the first one and saw her eyes light up she polished off the lot which tbh is unusual for her. My salted caramel brownie bites were ok but salted caramel flavour was lacking. The girls behind the bar were quick to serve, pleasant and polite, the only reason for not giving 5stars across the board was items missing off the menu on a Wednesday afternoon.

Loved this last night they played the music used on the clientele, and I thought they were really good .

I can't say for sure that i got food poisoning here because I havent been to see my gp yet, but both my friend and I were ill after eating here. We ordered several small plates to share. They took ages to come out, some items were cold and soggy, and some items were missing and came later. It felt like some of the food had been sitting around for a while. The quality of the food was incredibly poor. The 'calamari' looked like some kind of reconstituted sea food that had been blended and shaped into oblongs and battered. They also failed to refund us for the difference between an item we ordered that wasn't available and the item we agreed to replace it with. We didn't raise this at the time as we had tickets for a show and needed to eat and leave quickly. It's only the fact that I've been so ill all night that has prompted me to complain now. I have also reported to the council.

I ate here with a friend yesterday evening before attending a show and was very disappointed with the service we received. We ordered several plates of 'small bites' to share and they took so long to arrive that we had considered cancelling our order, but when we approached the bar to do so, we were told that our order was on its way. When our food arrived, it ranged from lukewarm to completely cold and 1 item was missing entirely - however it was cooked and bought out reasonably quickly and was the only hot, fresh item that we received. Both my friend and I have been ill after eating here, with food- poisoning type symptoms, but I can't confirm that it's definitely this as I haven't been tested. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

What an awful meal we had here . We came after a graduation. The staff was polite and friendly but the food was cold and a greasy mess. This has really put us off slug and lettuce now .

Bouncers were fair said it was a no cargos policy, which i understood. They asked their gaffa to confirm. But let me in as i was just there to see a few friends after the game. Had many shots at the bar that were on offer easy to get a drink.

I’ve been coming to Slug & Lettuce for years, but my recent experience was disappointing, largely due to the rude and arrogant behavior of one particular bouncer who has been there for years. I remember him from when I first started coming at 17, and his attitude hasn’t changed – always miserable and unapproachable. I bought a £60 cocktail tree 10 minutes before my friends were due to arrive. When purchasing it, I made it clear that my friends were on their way, but when they arrived, the bouncers refused them entry, citing some indecision about “last orders” or “no more entry.” It felt completely unfair, especially as my friends were sober. When I calmly questioned this decision, I was met with threatening behavior, with suggestions I could be kicked out myself. This felt like bullying – I never raised my voice or acted out of tone, but the way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional. It’s disappointing to have such an unpleasant experience at a venue I’ve always enjoyed. The staff inside were great, but the door staff need to learn how to treat paying customers with basic respect

Superb service by Andrea & Jess. Regular drinks & lovely friendly service, ended up with around 24 drinks between us in bottomless brunch 🥴 highly recommended.
